Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Expensive and worthless. I got extremely nauseous for days, unable to eat, and felt like I’d collapse from weakness, but I had no appetite."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on 0.25 of Ozempic, and after a month, increased to 0.50. After 2 months, I had lost 20 lbs. (I was not overweight). I constantly felt nauseous, had no appetite for anything, finally vomiting at random times whether I had eaten or not. Would take a laxative suppository every week because I had no urge ever to go. It did lower my A1C, but wasn't worth the effects. The medication has been changed."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 54-year-old overweight male who started taking Ozempic 3 months ago to help control my type 2 diabetes and to lower my A1C. For the first 3 weeks, I took a 0.25 dose weekly and felt okay. Some occasional stomach cramps and nausea. For the past 2 months, I have been taking a 0.50 dose, and side effects have gotten worse. Loss of appetite, stomach pains, feeling nauseous, and uncontrollable diarrhea while sleeping. Yes, that's right... I have been pooping the bed. On the plus side, I have lost over 20 lbs, but at quite a disgusting price to pay. Time to either quit taking this or try something else. I now understand the commercials where the people say 'O.' It's because 'O, I pooped my pants again.'"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Dr put me on Rybelsus since I had bad luck with Trulicity and feeling sick every time I took the shot. The first month of the dose 3mg, I noticed I never ate. I had a complete lack of appetite. I was exhausted, had weird dreams, and a constant feeling of anxiety, and sometimes insomnia. I put up with it. The second round with the 7 mg, the first day I was sicker than heck. I felt like I was on a cliff dangling, my anxiety turned into panic, rapid heartbeat, and I was unable to sleep. I stopped after day 4. I called the doctor but she never got back to me. I am debating trying to take 7mg every other day or go back to the 3mg and see if there is a difference now that it is almost out of my system. It is brutal to the body. The warnings say nothing about the feelings of anxiety or the insomnia."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been prescribed Ozempic for weight loss secondary to type 2. I got nauseated with some loss of appetite at 0.25 mg dosage and adapted to it over a month. Lost 9 lbs in that month. I increased to 0.5 mg last Friday (it is Tuesday), and I am miserable. Non-stop nausea, burping, some pain in the stomach, constipated. I feel miserable. I am worried about the stomach pain being pancreatitis starting, so I am increasing my water. I haven't eaten in two days. I will not continue with this drug as I think this just cannot be a good thing to do to one's body."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Loved the weight loss, everything else sucked! Nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, sulfur burps, no appetite. I ended up with a nasty gallbladder that was poisoning my body. I turned septic and ended up hospitalized. The doctors, nurses, and hospital were wonderful, but my ordeal was not over. Ten days later, I had seizures and two small strokes. Had no calcium or magnesium left in my body. The most horrible experience ever! Yes, this medicine may be great. Please be vigilant about getting your blood work done on a monthly basis, especially if you are losing fluids through digestive upset. Like I said, the drug worked as far as weight loss (47 lbs) and A1C (6.6). But I came close to losing my life and am still recovering and working with my doctors to get back to a healthy life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was only able to use 1 injection of semaglutide, the side effects hit me so bad that I couldn’t continue the medication. I got the injection on a Friday, and 2 days later, I had a seizure, which I ended up in the hospital. I had no appetite at all, but the constant headaches and nausea were too much."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Serious stomach issues, cramping, bloating, severe constipation, nausea, no appetite, rashes, pain in the upper and lower bowel, gas. Loss of too much weight, no taste for food. Have had previous trouble with colitis and diverticulitis but still prescribed this medication. Only have 1 kidney and now afraid it may be damaged. I have been on this drug for approximately 7-9 months. Now worried, but the doctor is not concerned enough to take me off this medication."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "A1c crept up to 6.9. Started Rybelsus for a 30-day intro with fairly vague side effects of light nausea, constipation, and reduced appetite. Increased to regular 7 dosage and immediately side effects were extreme and awful. Constant significant nausea, abdominal discomfort, significant constipation, low energy. Almost no desire to eat, and if I did eat, even very little food caused even more discomfort that escalated. Food just sat in my stomach feeling heavy and sour. Heartburn and gas were constant. After just 5 days of a larger dose, I stopped the medication but with lingering side effects. After being off the drug for two days, I sustained immense abdominal pain like I have NEVER experienced that finally culminated in strange diarrhea. Too many intense and questionable side effects for me. Weight loss - by not being able to eat - not worth the escalating horrible side effects for me. I'll never take this drug again."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "My doctor suggested I take Ozempic to bring down my weight and lower my chances of becoming diabetic, which runs in the family. I am 67 and trying to stay healthy. Started a month ago on .25, things were okay, some nausea and decrease in appetite. Started this week on .5 and have been extremely sick, two days in and vomiting frequently. Already have acid reflux, and it is getting worse. The most embarrassing part was today, as I was walking in the street, it just came upon me, and I had to find a corner to vomit on-a horrible experience, to say the least. I want to stick it out and hope it will get better, but I'm not sure I can. My doctor projects a two-month regimen. Hopefully, I can make it, but honestly, if things do not improve on my next dose, I will not be taking it anymore. I question the high out-of-pocket cost for a drug that is causing me so much misery."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking this in August. It left me with a terrible taste which I could not get rid of. I was changed to the lower dosage, and it didn’t seem too bad, but it made me feel awful. Loss of appetite, I could eat a full bowl of soup. If I went out, I had to bring half my meal home. After going back to the doctor numerous times, they have taken me off it and back to Victus, which makes me feel a lot better. I no longer have that awful taste and feel better. I did get tonsil stones, which I have never had before, and I’m pleased to say they have now gone."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was okay on the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg doses of this drug, Ozempic. Then, five weeks ago, I upped to 1 mg as planned. About four weeks ago, my mood changed, and I started to get pain in my joints and bones. Achy all over and no energy. Two weeks ago, the abdominal pains, gas, diarrhea, and those awful sulfur burps arrived. I feel absolutely awful, and the doctor is convinced it is this drug increasing. No appetite either and feeling sick. Was loving the drug in the beginning, but now I feel like I've got permanent flu!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking this med about a month ago and not sure I will stick with it. After 2 weeks, stomach cramping and some constipation started, but the worst of it all is the stress I am having with horrible sulfur burps. The smell is so horrible that even the smallest of burps can linger in a room for minutes, and you can really clear a room. I have had to have Febreeze Air Fresheners nearby at all times. If I feel a burp coming in the middle of the night, I literally run to the bathroom as it is really very unpleasant for my spouse and it really embarrasses me even after 27 years of marriage as it’s that bad! We just lowered my dose to 0.25 mg, but if the sulfur burps remain, that will seal the deal and I will stop it. Have lost 10 pounds over the month too as appetite is shot, and I’m not sure that’s really the best way to lose weight if you can barely eat at all."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started with the 0.25 dose. The next day, I had a mild sinus-type headache and loss of appetite. No food cravings, no overeating. So far, so good, right? Well, it's now 6 months later, and I've lost 36 pounds. I can hardly eat anything. I am nauseous all the time. No energy. I'm eating primarily cereal, jello, and peanut butter. My A1C is 6.7. However, I need to go off it so that I can get some nutrition in me. Miserable experience."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It was a disaster for me. My A1C used to stay between 7.5 and 8.5, and morning fasting readings were high, like 130 to 160. Increasing Glimepiride from 4 mg up to 8 mg didn't work. My doctor started me on 3 mg/day of Rybelsus. It caused constipation, upset stomach, and a lot of burping. But morning fasting readings came down to around 100, so I was tempted to try it out. After finishing the 3 mg dose for 30 days, I started taking 7 mg/day. My symptoms worsened: constipation, loss of appetite, noisy stomach, lots of burping, GERD, and weight loss from 152 lbs to 139 lbs in just about a couple of months. I could not afford to lose any more weight. I also saw some foamy urine indicating it was affecting my kidney function too. I stopped taking Rybelsus under my doctor's advice, and since then, the constipation is gone, the burping is gone, the appetite is good, and life seems back to normal. I still need to check on my kidneys for any issues since foamy urine is still there. The last A1C was 7.9."

Semaglutide "I started this medication on Dec 20th, 2022, 3 mg when my doctor told me I was diabetic. I weighed 206 lbs. A1C 6.5. The first month on this, I was nauseous and felt sick. At 30 days, I told him what I felt. He said, 'I am putting you on 7 mg now. Your body will get used to it.' Here I am now, 3 months later, and I am so sick. I get nauseous still, have constipation, diarrhea, and loss of appetite, and the smell of food at times is so nasty. I am constantly feeling sick, dizziness, and I feel lightheaded, always exhausted, no energy, which scares me. My A1C is lower now, 6.1. I have pretty much stopped having sweets, carbs, or anything bad. Weight loss is out of control. My current weight is 157 lbs today when I went to the doctor. I have lost 49 lbs in 4 months. I told him I can’t take this anymore. He changed me to metformin 500 mg, let’s see how this one works. This medication hurt me more than it helped me."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Do not use this drug. I took my first and only dose and had terrible diarrhea, so bad I had to cancel several engagements. I also had vomiting after eating, no appetite, a decline in vision, and worst was a mental haziness that took over a month to recover from. My doctor called it an allergic reaction, but I don’t believe that. Even after 8 months, I still have episodes of feeling tired and hazy. I feel like I’ve aged 5 years since taking the one dose. Other than type 2 diabetes, I was in good physical condition and health. Now I have aching muscles, reduced vision, and sporadic haziness. Yes, my A1C went down temporarily, but not worth all the rest of the side effects."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I lost 75 lbs on Wegovy. It wasn't worth it. People assume I have all this energy now. I feel like a shell of my former self. Run down, no appetite... and just got back from the hospital since I didn't have a bowel movement for almost 2 weeks once I was at the 2.4 dose. I can't recommend this drug. You will essentially give up your normal life to lose weight. To me, the benefits don't outweigh the risks."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on 0.25 for 4 weeks, then increased to 0.5. Reduced appetite, nausea, constipation, feeling like food just got stuck. I lost over 2 stone. Then started being sick every day, not eating or drinking, every time I did, I was sick. Then I was rushed into the hospital with severe diabetic ketoacidosis. One week after being out of the hospital and recovering, never using this medication ever again. Not worth risking your life."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on Week 15 of treatment and have lost nothing. On the first dose of 0.75 mg, I experienced heartburn, fullness, and zero appetite for 5 days. I was hopeful that it had finally started to work. On subsequent doses of 0.75 mg and 1 mg, and now on 1.7 mg, I’ve felt no effects from Wegovy. I’ve tried switching injection sites from my abdomen to my arm with no effect."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was on Metformin and had an A1c of 8. The doctor told me to get off Metformin and gave me a sample of 3 mg Rybelsus and prescribed the 7 mg dose after 1 month. My morning blood sugars with Metformin were 111 to 88. With Rybelsus, my blood sugar in the morning has been 148 to 208! I had diarrhea with Metformin, but that went away with Rybelsus, however, my stomach has become bloated, lots of burping, slightly nauseous, no appetite, a tightness in my chest, and now that I am using the 7 mg dose, I have become exceedingly tired with zero appetite. Today my blood sugar was 177. This is unacceptable. It was way lower with Metformin. I am quitting this. I can't be this tired and feeling so ill. I used to have energy with Metformin, but Rybelsus has completely drained it. I feel the doctor had just been visited by the Big Pharma salesman and gave her the sales pitch, and she started prescribing it. Is she getting a kickback? This Rybelsus is not good and causes cancer."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I rarely ever have side effects from any drugs that I have taken before. After my second dose, I began extreme side effects of stomach pain, bloating, sour belching, flatulence, diarrhea, zero appetite, and indigestion. These symptoms have not gone away after 10 days of discontinued use. It definitely lowered my daily sugar levels. You can use this medication if you are okay with feeling like death."
