For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This drug has definitely helped with decreasing my appetite and decreasing sugar cravings. I've been on semaglutide for 6 weeks and have lost 13 lbs so far. As far as side effects go, I've experienced some tiredness, nausea, and some stomach discomfort. Nothing debilitating. I'm going through a weight loss center. I go once a week for counseling and injections. I started out at 0.25 injection the first 30 days and am now up to 0.5 injections once a week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on semaglutide for 10 months and lost 19 lbs. I lost quickly at first, now it is slowing down over the last 6 months. I did not feel like eating much for the first half, loss of appetite and stomachache. Now I eat and get my stomachache about 1/2 hr after eating and wish I did not eat. I have constipation and take a stool softener once a week and then a mild laxative once a month. My tastes have changed also."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has helped me, so I do not have to take insulin. When I first started it, I had tummy aches, but now that I have been on it for the past three months, no problems with that. You do have to be careful about how much you eat, Ozempic has helped me regulate how I eat and what I eat. If you overeat, you may end up with a bad case of diarrhea, but that doesn't happen very often anymore. One more thing, if you come off the Ozempic, you may see a spike in your blood sugar. Overall, I really don't have a problem with taking Ozempic."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started June 11, 2024, at 194 lbs. At 1 month, lost 10 lbs. At 7 weeks, am down 17 lbs. I've tried to lose this weight for over a year now. I am a 59-year-old female at 5’4”. The first shot had a little upset stomach for a day or two, but not bad. I would highly recommend this drug. First time I have had hope to reach my goal weight."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on this for about 2 years. Blood sugars were 11 before taking, now average about 6. Really need to watch how much I eat or will throw up. Blurry vision, stomach aches occasionally. Generally, this has been a great med for me, reduced the medications I was taking for diabetes. Now I take 10 mg Jardiance and 4 mg glimepiride. No more insulin!!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Short story is this drug worked for me! 242 lbs Started 7.4 A1C. 3mg Rybelsus. I was really trying hard. Fast food I cut and was exercising 3 days a week. I have a sweet tooth and my wife is a great baker. She had something ready for me all the time. Sunday doughnut trips. Dairy Queen etc. Cut but not cut all out. 30 days later I did lose some weight. A1C 7.0. The Doc told me the prescribing was 3mg for 30 days then 7mg. I did exercise 4 days a week and cut the sweets some more (that was hard lol). Then the magic happened. In 150 days from start 3mg to 7mg, my A1C 5.1, 195 pounds. 5 more to go. I'm 6 ft tall. I was a fat boy at 242. Now all my old clothes fit with a belt. I know this drug won't work for everyone. However, it worked for me. It will work for you if you try hard. Don't just take the drug. I do get an upset stomach from time to time but worth it!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Tuesday was the second shot. So far, no headaches, just upset stomach now and then. I really like that it takes all hunger away. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started with the 0.25 dose & after 5 weeks went to 0.50. Side effects were minimal, mostly just an upset stomach for the first day after a shot. Pens were easy to use & directions easy to follow. My A1c went from 10.3 to 6.2 after 90 days & I lost 22 lbs. I made significant dietary changes, which were helped because overeating gave me that 'too full to move' feeling you get on Thanksgiving, even with small portions. I eat 4-5 times a day but in small portions & calories under 1200 daily. Constipation was avoided by an increase in fiber/vegetables and water."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It sure works. Even at the lower initial doses, it completely CURBS your appetite, and you are no longer hungry. It’s an interesting phenomenon. I’m going to have to plan means better and so forth. So far, side effects have been mild stomach upset and fatigue, but nothing substantially more…"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started semaglutide in March of 2023. I immediately lost all of my appetite and lost weight. I have tried every diet out there in the past, and none were successful. I am 65 years old and have joint and heart issues, so I felt that the benefits outweighed the negative effects. As of today, I have lost 38 lbs. It has not been easy. I have had nausea, mild vomiting, and stomach discomfort. My appetite has been mostly nonexistent. For most meals, I have only been able to eat 3-4 bites of food without feeling like I am stuffed. All in all, I would still recommend it. I am proud of my weight loss and have recently joined a gym again. I want to work on regaining muscle mass and make sure I don't gain the weight back. My biggest fear is gaining the weight back after all I went through to lose it. There are no real guidelines on how long or at what dose to stay on after losing the desired amount of weight."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy now for 4 months and have lost 26 pounds. I am currently on the 1.7 mg, and I have had no nasty side effects. I have had more heartburn than I used to, and occasional stomach upset, but nothing that would make me stop taking the meds. It has been a slow loss, but it is a loss, and I am very happy. I would love to lose 75-100 pounds, and hopefully this will continue to work, and I will meet my goal. My start weight was 250 lbs, I am now at 224 lbs. My glucose levels have decreased, and my A1C has also lowered. I have not been adding exercise, I feel if I started walking, the weight would come off faster. My overall experience has been very satisfactory."

Acid or sour stomach, belching, excess air or gas in the stomach, feeling pressure in the stomach, heartburn, passing gas, stomach discomfort, swelling, tenderness, or upset. I did lose 35 pounds in 3 months, and my A1C was 6.5."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good! Only on the 3rd day on it, but I'm loving it. On .25 mg dose to start. I'm female, 5'4", 215 lbs, and I'm looking to drop about 40 lbs with it. Very mild stomach discomfort here and there, but it's barely noticeable the vast majority of the time. When I first injected, I felt that my heartbeat got quicker for a little bit, but it subsided in an hour or two. I don't crave junk food anymore. I feel like I'm always full, and I have an increased desire for whole foods. I'm not going to increase my dose until I feel the beneficial effects subsiding, I'm taking it very slow to avoid side effects. Will check back in after a month or two, I'm very optimistic!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on the 3 mg dose and felt a bit nauseous and had a sore stomach, but it was manageable. Now going on to the 7 mg, but I am on a low GI diet as well, and this combination has helped bring my blood sugar levels down. I have problems with food addiction, and the drug helps curb the cravings by lowering my appetite. So far, I only have positive feedback about Rybelsus."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was originally prescribed Ozempic in the needle form about 4 years ago. This was an experience I will never forget. Although I dropped weight, the nausea was just too much to bear. I was sick every single day for months on end, it just wouldn't give up, so I was taken off it. Fast forward a few years, and all the weight is back. Last week, after an appointment with my doctor, I was asked to try a tablet form, which they said has less severe side effects. Now, 6 days in, and I'm over the moon, I've lost 8 lbs already. My appetite has been curbed to 3 very small meals a day, but I feel full to my stomach. Now, here's where I have to be 100% honest: this medication is not for the light-hearted. The nausea, headaches, and bad stomach are very, very real. The difference between this and the needle is I'm not physically sick but just feel it all day, every day!!! This is only the 3 mg dose, I will be put up to 6 mg next week and 14 mg in 3 weeks' time. I will post my progress. Good luck, everyone."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "6-7-2022: I am about to start my eighth week on Wegovy: first four weeks at 0.25 mg, second four weeks at 0.5 mg, and starting 1.0 mg this week if I can get the medicine. My pharmacy is having difficulty getting it. The first week was difficult. I started on a Thursday evening and had diarrhea for two days straight and accompanying upset stomach. I took Friday off from work and was sick on Saturday. On Sunday, I felt better but very tired and stayed in bed all day. I was feeling better by Monday and Tuesday. Since then, few side effects. I lost 5 lbs. the first month and 7 the second, averaging my doctor's goal of 6 lbs./week. I'm so glad to be moving in the right direction. I'm 5'2" and weighed 260 at my highest. I lost 30 pounds a couple of years before COVID hit and had kept it off (a major triumph) but had gained back 10 of those pounds before starting Wegovy."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my first week of the 2.4 dose (so I am just starting month 5). My weight loss seems a bit slower than others (story of my life), BUT I am still losing! I’ve lost 26 pounds in 5 months with making few modifications to my diet. I eat similarly to how I did before, but my portions are much smaller. I have experienced some side effects, but everyone’s experience is different. I can usually combat the upset stomach and gas with Gas-X and Pepto. I have experienced constipation, but that’s honestly something I’ve battled all of my adult life. Miralax in my morning tea or coffee certainly helps with that. Bottom line for me is this… the occasional side effects are 100% worth the results I’m seeing!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "28 days in! Started on 7 mg and will continue with 7 mg. I am also on Metformin 500 mg daily and have been for years. To be fair, my A1c was never above 6.3, and my weight was 179 lbs and height is 5-6. I have a strong family history of insulin-dependent diabetics, and I don’t want to go there! I’ve been losing weight like crazy with no exercise, which is why I came to read some of these reviews to see if this is common. Current weight is 164. Lost 15 lbs in 28 days! Mild nausea and dry mouth after taking the med in the morning. Pill is also bitter and not overly large, but a little hard to swallow. Nausea disappears with ginger ale or fruit. Appetite is gone! I have to force myself to eat at times. I suggest a vitamin supplement. Mild stomach ache and loose stool later in the day, but have solid soft stool in the morning. Want to continue to reach the weight goal of 155 lbs and A1c below 5.8. Then maybe go to a reduced dose if necessary. I definitely recommend this drug."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It has been a month on Ozempic. So far, so good. I have had stomach issues, but not severe. My appetite has changed, which is also helping. I've lost about 8 lbs. This week I went up to the 0.5, my sugar numbers are fantastic. I had an average of 145-160 for fasting, and I am now around 100-113. I am due for an A1C check in a couple of months, super curious to see the change. I am currently 6.6, I am hoping to be down to 6.0. The stomach issues do get better if you can get past the first 4 weeks. I also have heart disease, which stemmed from poor diet and uncontrolled diabetes. I will take the stomach issues for controlled sugar all day long. :)"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "After reading the reviews, a lot of my problems using Ozempic have been answered. I was wondering why I had the side effects that I did, such as vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, stomach gurgling, and belching or egg taste, etc., but a lot has been answered here. My only comment about this is that I am to use .50 every week, and my pen only holds 3 weeks' worth. I have called 2X after I mentioned it to my nurse practitioner, and the only thing I get is offered a voucher for a free pen. My question is, am I the only one that doesn't get the full 4 weeks' worth of the pen if using .50? I tried to ask that to customer service this morning, and she could not answer my question but only offer yet another voucher. Please tell me if I am the only one that this happens to or not. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Did the first 4 weeks of Ozempic at 0.25 had mild stomach issues. Nausea was come and go, really not consistent. Helped control my eating. Doctor said if you overeat or eat like you used to, you will throw up. There is no place for overeating but up. Didn't overeat, didn't have much issue. Took stool softener to keep things moving. At the 0.5 dose, ate less but had fewer side effects than my first dose. Glad I have started the med, it works."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on Ozempic in September 2020, starting weight 312 lbs (5’4”). I am type 2 diabetic and take 2550mg of Metformin daily. HbA1c was 79, sugar cravings, and blood sugar out of control. Started on 0.25 dose for a month. Quite bad stomach cramps and nausea for the first month. Went up to 0.5 dose in month 2, then 1.0 dose for month 3 and since. No. 1 tip - inject into your leg rather than around your belly. Once I changed to injecting in my leg, nausea and cramps disappeared overnight, and never came back. To maximize effectiveness, you can’t eat like you did before. I re-joined Weight Watchers in September. I have lost 80 lbs in 5 months, HbA1c dropped from 79 to 51 which is a normal type 2 level although the doc feels with more weight loss, it could go to normal levels. In Ireland, diabetes is classed as a long-term illness so all medications are covered by the government, so I don’t have to pay for this. Otherwise, it costs €195."
