Semaglutide "Incredible that one's appetite just vanishes. Sadly, the side effects are quite dramatic. Nausea, burping, tiredness. Not such a good combination."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking .25 Ozempic middle of last year. Now up to .75, which I split up by doing .25 middle of the week and .5 on the weekend - this is to combat any nausea, which I get. Also on 1500 mg Metformin. I have lost over 45 lbs, but most importantly, my blood sugars have halved, so I am down to normal range. My energy has increased, and I sleep a lot better. Blood pressure and cholesterol have also come down. I quite often make myself dinner, and then after a few mouthfuls, I don't feel like eating any more, but whereas before I used to force myself to eat it, this just doesn't happen any more, and I just push the plate away. TBH, I don't really like food like I used to. Drugs do affect everyone differently, so just have to be aware of that. I guess I was one of the lucky ones with minimal side effects."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My provider prescribed Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes and high A1C. I ended up losing 30 pounds, and my A1C dropped dramatically, along with my blood pressure and very high triglycerides. I feel so much better in general. Ozempic has been life-changing for me. I do not worry about the effects of high blood sugars on my body anymore. Diabetes comes along with heart disease, changes in eyesight and blindness, loss of limbs, neuropathy, and difficulty healing, among other things. All of those conditions are a great concern, as I have seen members of my family suffer and die due to diabetes. Ozempic changes all of that. The side effects were fairly tough, I experienced nausea, stomach pain, constipation, and a general feeling of being unwell. However, after a bit of time, my body adjusted, and the symptoms got much, much better. It was all worth it to me. I did lose my insurance at one point after taking Ozempic for about a year and a half. I am now back on it. Thankfully."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My A1C had gone up as high as 8.0, and my doctor kept adding medications to my arsenal of drugs to control my diabetes. I was taking so many drugs but was getting terrible side effects, including kidney stones, liver enzymes over 600, diarrhea, nausea, and finally, I was hospitalized and taken off all my drugs, but then my diabetes was out of control. Finally, my GI specialist recommended starting with Ozempic .5, and that's when everything started to change. At first, I didn't see much change in my weight loss, so my doctor raised it to 1mm. It was then that I saw my A1C go down to 7.2, and I had lost 10 pounds without trying. Now I have been taking Ozempic for over a year, and my A1C is down to 6.7, and I dropped 20 pounds. I don't have any side effects unless I overeat, which I avoid. If I overeat, I get an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach, but within a short period, it subsides. I wish my mother would have had the ability to get Ozempic 10 years ago, maybe she'd be alive today."

Semaglutide for Chronic Kidney Disease "I have been on Ozempic for the past 1 1/2 months. Gradually increased from 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg since then. After reading other reviews, the best tip I found was injecting into my thigh instead of the abdomen. Mild nausea, backache, and constipation the first 2 weeks, and nothing now but the feeling of fullness soon after eating, about 75% as much as usual. I have less interest in sugary or fried foods and have lost 12 pounds, about 2 pounds a week. At 74, my Type 2 diabetes is diet-controlled with good A1C's, so my primary use is for weight loss and preserving kidney functioning. The tiny 27 gauge needle is painless, just wish I had discovered Ozempic sooner!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy since September 2024. To date, I've lost about 30 pounds. I've had very mild side effects, a little nausea occasionally, particularly the first few days after increasing dosage. I have ongoing GI issues that have made it worse a few times in the last 6 months, but nothing too serious. I was nervous about injecting myself weekly, but it has been relatively easy and painless for me. I'm finally getting clear signals to stop eating when I'm full. I used to think eating a full plate of pasta was no big deal, and now I eat less pasta in general, but if I do, I aim for no more than half, and usually it's closer to a third of a plate with the addition of a small side of non-starchy vegetables. I've been seeing a nutritionist too, and they've been so helpful in making lifelong diet changes. Right before I started taking Wegovy, I looked at the reviews on here and it nearly scared me away. I'm so glad it didn't. Wegovy has been such a helpful tool in my health journey."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started out on 0.25 once a week and then 0.5 for two more weeks. I am now at 1.0. I experienced a little nausea in the beginning, but it has subsided. I find it interesting that I don't crave salty foods and actually turn them down. I am craving salads, which I find interesting. I've lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks, and now with the increase, about a pound every two days. The best part is I am on Metformin and Janumet, with a daily blood sugar averaging 340. With the addition of Ozempic, my average blood sugar has been at 122. My A1C has dropped from 11 to 9, all in a very short time. I suffered heart failure last year, and my refraction rate is now back to normal at 55 percent. I am now experiencing some fatigue, but that could just be my body adjusting to all the meds on board. I feel I now have a brighter future ahead, especially with the normal sugar level, and am planning to do a lot of outdoor activities this summer. I've also gone back to water aerobics and have my life back."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Rybelsus has worked wonders for me. I started with the 3 mg for 1st month, then 7 mg for 3 mos. Still on my 3rd bottle, almost done. I'm 50 yrs old and weighed 271 lbs and now am at 249 lbs and lost 22 lbs; my A1C went from 8.4 to 5.3. I'm completely satisfied with my results. It really does suppress your appetite. I've had a few bouts of constipation, diarrhea, and nausea when I 1st started it. It wasn't right away either. However, there are no more side effects. I'm good over here!! Make sure you use the discount from the manufacturer online. $10/mo"

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been on Ozempic for 10 months to assist in weight loss and heart health. I have lost 70 lbs with this medication and diet. I no longer have heart palpitations either. I was born with a congenital heart defect, and excess weight is not good for me. Semaglutide has been a lifesaver for me! I do experience a bit of nausea for the first day or two following my weekly injection, but it is very mild!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor put me on Ozempic in July because Metformin was giving me gastric problems. At that time, my A1C was 6.6, and my weight was 165. I had a few bouts of nausea the first month, but thankfully it passed, and it's been easy to take since then. For me, Ozempic has been a wonder drug because my A1C is now 5.1, and my weight is now 127, and that's a 38 lb loss. My weight has been a problem since I was a child, and it's ironic that I've finally reached my ideal weight at the age of 76. My only concern is will my A1C go up, and will I regain the weight if my doctor takes me off it. I wonder if he will put me on a maintenance dose. I've gone back to 0.25 and feel wonderful."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This drug has definitely helped with decreasing my appetite and decreasing sugar cravings. I've been on semaglutide for 6 weeks and have lost 13 lbs so far. As far as side effects go, I've experienced some tiredness, nausea, and some stomach discomfort. Nothing debilitating. I'm going through a weight loss center. I go once a week for counseling and injections. I started out at 0.25 injection the first 30 days and am now up to 0.5 injections once a week."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I began on 3 mg and felt a little nauseous, lasting no more than an hour each day. The same with 7 mg, but when taken up to 14 mg, no more nausea and thankfully no other issues. I have noticed a weight loss to currently around a stone within 6 months total."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy since 12/2022. I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic for 9 weeks. Started at 0.25 for 4 weeks, and then my dosage was increased to 0.50 for 4 more weeks. Last week, my dosage was increased to 1 mg, and now I am feeling nauseous and have been vomiting. I have to eat very small meals, or I throw it all up. Sometimes I am throwing up from the night before. I don't know what my A1c is currently, I have labs next month. My A1c was progressively going up, and I couldn't get it down. Will push through these side effects and see what happens."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It controls my type 2 diabetes far better than Glipizide and Metformin did alone. I only had very mild nausea for the first two weeks. Barely noticeable. I've been on it for a year now with zero side effects. I had to choose a plan on healthcare.gov to cover it better because of its extreme cost. The drug is a miracle for me. My A1C is now in the 5's, down from the upper 6's. I lost 30 lbs. without even trying."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First day of injection, Aug 19th, 2024 SW - 236 pounds. November 22nd, 2024 last injection to date CW - 217 currently on 1.0 mg dose. Have not done anything extraordinary, try to make healthy choices and drink lots of water. Sometimes go for walks. Will continue to use this until I've reached ideal numbers. I like it, no problems so far. Just need to pay attention to hydration and nutrition. Sometimes experience nausea, drink water, take a Gravol. Also take a multivitamin but don't combine too many things unless you speak with a doctor. I'll post an update after Christmas."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Rybelsus 3 mg for 3 months. I am 46 (5'4') with a starting weight of 272 and A1c of 6.9. Now (9 months later) I weigh 255, and my A1c is 5.7. I had been taking Metformin prior to Rybelsus, and it was horrible for my stomach. The first couple of days on Rybelsus, I had few side effects, I had to avoid any fatty foods as they made me nauseous. For the first month, my appetite was small, and I had no desire to eat. After that first month, my appetite was back, and I didn't see the benefits in the drug for weight loss. Also, until diagnosed with diabetes, I was not active at all! I struggled to complete small physical tasks. I began walking 3 to 6 miles, 4 to 6 times a week, which I feel has benefited me along with medications. One huge plus for me taking Rybelsus is that I no longer struggle with my IBS. I have for YEARS (20+). Starting 7 mg this week and hoping it helps curb my appetite more than the 3 mg."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Started this medication last July 2024 for cardiovascular risk reduction and prediabetes. Some very mild nausea in the first two weeks and mild constipation (just eat Activia yogurt). Have lost 22 pounds so far and normal blood sugar and A1C within three months, plus lower cholesterol. No other side effects. Definitely worth it for me, but I did read these reviews ahead of time and some were scary, so I thought I would share this as it has been positive for me."
