Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Wegovy since September (2024). I initially did not like the way it made me feel. I was experiencing constipation, headaches, and nausea. My next dose was 0.50, which the pharmacy was out of until this past April 2025. I was determined to see if I could withstand the side effects. My appetite was suppressed immediately. I experienced constipation, which I counteracted with stool softeners every day. I took Zofran for the nausea. I had started riding my stationary bike around the same time that I started Wegovy. On April 17th, 2025, I started walking 30 minutes a day. I am now at a 1.7 dose. Side effects are minimal. I noticed that if I am constipated, I would get nauseous. Stay away from heavy grease. I consume a protein shake every morning and try to eat meat as much as I can as I do not really have a taste for meat or I no longer like alcohol. I am happy that I tried it again. I am 6'1" and was 283. I am 266. I want to be 240. Yay!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience with Wegovy has been typical. I’ve experienced diarrhea and constipation, but all of it was manageable and comes and goes. I'm a believer. The medication is working for me. 45 lbs down in six months without working out due to a knee and back injury. I would 100% recommend it to anyone."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am older and without the strength to open the bottle. I have found if I turn it upside down and hit the bottom with a hammer a couple of times, it opens easily. After using Rybelsus a few years, I have developed more side effects, constipation, sleepiness, and nausea, but I'll work through it because this drug keeps my diabetic levels perfect."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been taking Ozempic since the beginning of March 2025. My starting dose was 0.25 and I am now at 1.0. At the time I started, I weighed about 193 and am now weighing 156 lbs. The only side effects I seem to be dealing with and do not like are nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Ozempic has curbed my appetite considerably, as well as my liquid intake, which I don't mind since I've lost a lot of my weight. Right now, my biggest problem is finding clothes to fit me and deciding if I should keep my old clothes or donate them. I really haven't bought much in the way of new clothes in part because I don't know how much more weight I am going to lose, plus the expense of buying new clothes. My goal is to weigh somewhere between 135 and 140. My A1c is down from 8.9 to 8.1, I would like that to be lower, like 7.1."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Love this drug. I’ve lost 34 lbs with very little side effects. You do have to watch what you eat, some foods, especially fried foods, make you feel horrible. I’ve been on it for 1 year, which is good because I lost slowly, not all at once. The longer you keep the weight off. You do have to change your eating habits. In the beginning, I had a lot of heartburn, but I took OTC medicine, and eventually, I no longer had this problem. I’m not a big water drinker, so I’m trying to drink more water to help with constipation. You also have to limit your alcohol intake, so 1 glass of wine at dinner, and that’s it."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Started this medication last July 2024 for cardiovascular risk reduction and prediabetes. Some very mild nausea in the first two weeks and mild constipation (just eat Activia yogurt). Have lost 22 pounds so far and normal blood sugar and A1C within three months, plus lower cholesterol. No other side effects. Definitely worth it for me, but I did read these reviews ahead of time and some were scary, so I thought I would share this as it has been positive for me."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No adverse side effects. Just took 8th injection and last at 0.5 mg. Next week, dosage goes to 1 mg. Down 16 pounds in 7 weeks. I was already taking Metamucil every morning, so no constipation as some have reported, but I am having less bowel movements now. I imagine I would be constipated without it. Also take Nexium daily, so heartburn really hasn't been an issue more than it already was. Started at 6 ft and 251 pounds. Was 235 today. Goal is between 180 and 200."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My provider prescribed Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes and high A1C. I ended up losing 30 pounds, and my A1C dropped dramatically, along with my blood pressure and very high triglycerides. I feel so much better in general. Ozempic has been life-changing for me. I do not worry about the effects of high blood sugars on my body anymore. Diabetes comes along with heart disease, changes in eyesight and blindness, loss of limbs, neuropathy, and difficulty healing, among other things. All of those conditions are a great concern, as I have seen members of my family suffer and die due to diabetes. Ozempic changes all of that. The side effects were fairly tough, I experienced nausea, stomach pain, constipation, and a general feeling of being unwell. However, after a bit of time, my body adjusted, and the symptoms got much, much better. It was all worth it to me. I did lose my insurance at one point after taking Ozempic for about a year and a half. I am now back on it. Thankfully."

Semaglutide for Chronic Kidney Disease "I have been on Ozempic for the past 1 1/2 months. Gradually increased from 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg since then. After reading other reviews, the best tip I found was injecting into my thigh instead of the abdomen. Mild nausea, backache, and constipation the first 2 weeks, and nothing now but the feeling of fullness soon after eating, about 75% as much as usual. I have less interest in sugary or fried foods and have lost 12 pounds, about 2 pounds a week. At 74, my Type 2 diabetes is diet-controlled with good A1C's, so my primary use is for weight loss and preserving kidney functioning. The tiny 27 gauge needle is painless, just wish I had discovered Ozempic sooner!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Rybelsus has worked wonders for me. I started with the 3 mg for 1st month, then 7 mg for 3 mos. Still on my 3rd bottle, almost done. I'm 50 yrs old and weighed 271 lbs and now am at 249 lbs and lost 22 lbs; my A1C went from 8.4 to 5.3. I'm completely satisfied with my results. It really does suppress your appetite. I've had a few bouts of constipation, diarrhea, and nausea when I 1st started it. It wasn't right away either. However, there are no more side effects. I'm good over here!! Make sure you use the discount from the manufacturer online. $10/mo"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and have lost 40 pounds. I’m on a 0.25 dose and haven’t had to go up yet. Losing 2-3 pounds per week. The only side effect is constipation and dry mouth right after the injection and only lasts for 10 minutes. No complaints. Love the product! My insurance refuses to cover it. The doctor filed appeals and they still refused to approve. Will continue to use it for a few months to get to my goal weight."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I wanted to lose about 45 pounds and asked my cardiologist to prescribe Wegovy because I have cardiovascular disease. I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "70 pounds down and maintained for over a year now. Wegovy in conjunction with a high-protein, low-carb food plan does it right. I am convinced that the majority of negative outcomes are due to people just shooting the drug and making no changes to their diet. Stay off the sugar, keep your carb intake to vegetables and limited fruits only. Constipation avoided by adding a magnesium citrate supplement. (I use Calm)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on semaglutide for 10 months and lost 19 lbs. I lost quickly at first, now it is slowing down over the last 6 months. I did not feel like eating much for the first half, loss of appetite and stomachache. Now I eat and get my stomachache about 1/2 hr after eating and wish I did not eat. I have constipation and take a stool softener once a week and then a mild laxative once a month. My tastes have changed also."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "This is a miracle drug. It works. My numbers are within normal range, and I've lost a good amount of weight in the process. The weight loss has encouraged me to employ a healthier diet and exercise program. Because I eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, I don't experience constipation any longer. The side effects are very manageable."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 74-year-old male who weighed 250 when I started Wegovy. I am now a week into the 2.4 mg dosage and down to 224 lbs. My appetite has declined, and I no longer crave food. I have only one side effect, and that has been constipation. It started the day I began the medication and still continues. I am taking milk of magnesia, and it helps, but still not regular as I would like. I strongly recommend this drug."

Semaglutide "I am a 47-year-old woman taking Ozempic for 4 weeks now. .25 doses. I started at 300 lbs at 5.7'. Week 1 and 2, I had no side effects, week 3, I was a bit bloated and constipated. But I increased my water intake and walked for 40 mins 3 times a week, and it was gone within a few days. I lost 5 lbs in week 1 and 2, nothing week 3 (I assume due to the bloating and constipation), and another 5 lbs in week 4 for a total of 15 lbs in 4 weeks! I am very excited and motivated. I have always struggled with my weight, I was never a huge overeater, just very bad choices due to a lack of willpower! But since taking Ozempic, although I still get very small cravings, I find it so much easier to control. I can have a bag of chips in the house and just have a cup for an after-dinner snack and not go back for seconds! It is amazing! I can promise I have tried this before... many times... and it never worked! I would go back for seconds and thirds until the bag was gone! Lol. So far, worth the cost (no coverage)."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor started me at the 0.25 mg dose for the first 2 weeks, then increased it to the 0.5 mg dose after that. Having taken the Byetta injections over 10 years ago (had to stop due to developing pancreatitis), using the Ozempic is similar, except for taking only once per week instead of taking several times a day with the Byetta. When I first started the Ozempic, I had nausea and constipation symptoms. At times, I still have some nausea, but it subsides quickly. After several weeks of being on the Ozempic, the constipation has decreased and I have developed a once-daily routine for bowel movements, which is okay by me... LOL. (Had my gallbladder out a year ago.) I have lost 14 lbs. since the start (over 4 months ago). I am still trying to regulate my diet to get the best advantage of the medication, but I work the night shift. I am happy with my Hemoglobin A1C levels, it dropped from 6.7 down to 6.2 in 1 month. Hoping it drops even further with the next lab work."
