Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started out on 0.25 once a week and then 0.5 for two more weeks. I am now at 1.0. I experienced a little nausea in the beginning, but it has subsided. I find it interesting that I don't crave salty foods and actually turn them down. I am craving salads, which I find interesting. I've lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks, and now with the increase, about a pound every two days. The best part is I am on Metformin and Janumet, with a daily blood sugar averaging 340. With the addition of Ozempic, my average blood sugar has been at 122. My A1C has dropped from 11 to 9, all in a very short time. I suffered heart failure last year, and my refraction rate is now back to normal at 55 percent. I am now experiencing some fatigue, but that could just be my body adjusting to all the meds on board. I feel I now have a brighter future ahead, especially with the normal sugar level, and am planning to do a lot of outdoor activities this summer. I've also gone back to water aerobics and have my life back."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes. Was overweight as well, I am 4'11 and had ballooned to over 170 pounds. I was taking medicine for blood pressure, anxiety, depression, you know, all the things. I started in March 2022. My A1c was 7.9. Today I am down to 105 (hold up, that is normal for my height). No more high pressure. Beginning, I wasn't sure I would get past the nausea, but I fought through it, and yes, it does go away. I have been on stool softeners for a while, so I have never had any issues going to the restroom. My A1c is 5.4 now. I don't feel good, though. I can't put my finger on it, but I am severely exhausted and fatigued. I will not trash this medicine because I think it works as it should and has been amazing for diabetics. I just wish I didn't feel like poo all the time. The side effects do subside over time. My doctor and I have found the perfect dosing and schedule for me to keep my blood sugar under control."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It sure works. Even at the lower initial doses, it completely CURBS your appetite, and you are no longer hungry. It’s an interesting phenomenon. I’m going to have to plan means better and so forth. So far, side effects have been mild stomach upset and fatigue, but nothing substantially more…"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd week of Wegovy. So far, the only side effect I have noticed is fatigue. Seems to be worse in the morning, but it's not a big deal at all. My kids keep me awake and busy. I lost 3 pounds in the first week and nothing in the second week. I just took my 3rd dose today and hoping to lose another 3+ pounds this week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just took my 10th week subcutaneous injection. I have lost 22 pounds and overall am feeling great. I do have some fatigue and constipation. I have increased my fiber intake and use polyethylene glycol as needed. The biggest thing is a healthy diet and exercise. I lost 20 pounds before I started the medication, so I thought that it would be a nice way to jumpstart my weight loss. I will be at the regular dose on week 12 and plan to continue on the medication until I reach my goal weight and then slowly come off of it by tapering my dose. I work one-on-one with my nurse practitioner and check in with her weekly to discuss my goals, diet, and side effects of medication. I would recommend semaglutide if you have trouble losing weight with just diet and exercise. I am happy that I decided to proceed with this treatment. It is expensive, and I pay for 100% of it out of pocket. I never thought I could give myself injections, but the needles are so small and I hardly feel them."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began my Ozempic journey just last week on 0.25 mg. I am shocked and amazed. I have lost 12 lbs in one week. The first full day, I felt a bit sluggish, was not hungry at all, and was a bit nauseous. However, I knew that what I had eaten was the cause. I had to give up the sugary drinks and mountain of carbs. After I did this, the nausea went away. I honestly keep thinking there is no way I can lose that kind of weight in one week, and I have been worried that it is mostly water weight, and it still may be. The best thing about being on this medication is that I do not worry like I did on other diets. Meaning, I do not count calories, worry about eating differently from my family, and begrudge myself foods. What it has done is force me to give up bad habits because I do not like staying nauseous. I do believe this negative reinforcement will make me sustain weight loss after I have finished my rounds. On to week 2 tomorrow!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started approx. 3/29 and will begin my third step up to 1 mg this week. I have lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks. Very happy about that. My appetite is reduced. I can sometimes skip dinner because, after a light lunch and breakfast, I am not hungry. I have experienced fatigue, nausea, and constipation. However, if I eat something like an apple with peanut butter, that helps with the constipation. So far, these side effects are not bad enough for me to discontinue. I would like to feel better, but I am hoping it will improve. Fatigue is the worst for me because I also have another autoimmune disease that causes extreme tiredness. I am taking a multivitamin and see my doctor in a week, and I will discuss negative side effects. Right now, the benefits of losing weight are worth it."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss in Nov 2022. I started on 0.25 mg for one month. I found it slightly suppressed my appetite, and the side effects I had were awful heartburn, constipation, and sulfur burps. Sometimes I felt nauseous. I decided to stick with it anyway and increased to 0.5 mg after one month. The symptoms were the same but added in fatigue. A month later, I bumped up to 0.75, and the burps, fatigue, and heartburn subsided. I went to 1 mg two months later, and all symptoms disappeared. I started at 192 lbs on Nov 15th, and as of May 1st, I weigh 152 lbs. I found my sugar cravings disappeared once I started taking 1 mg. Up until then, I still craved sugary foods. I lost all interest in greasy food (fries, anything deep-fried, etc.) from 0.5 mg and up. I personally love Ozempic. The side effects at the beginning were worth it for me, but from the sounds of it, mine weren’t that bad. I have never once thrown up."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "At this time, I’m on my 5th week of the maintenance dose. The only side effect I’ve had is occasional constipation, but as a 25-year medical professional, I know how to deal with it medically and in conjunction with my VA doctor and pharmacist. At times, I would get hypoglycemic, but again I knew how to combat that. At this dose, I find myself somewhat more fatigued but I can deal with that. Cat naps usually do the trick. I started at 393 and 6’3”. I’m 56 years old. I’m down to 349 since I started, which for me is great. I have critical low testosterone and can’t take testosterone due to my history of pulmonary embolisms. So, I don’t mind losing only 2 pounds a week. I can now walk so much better and farther. I’m 95% VA disability rated, and I’ll tell you, I feel and look so much better after starting to use Wegovy. The VA truly cares for us veterans no matter what you hear. Stay blessed and hang in there."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has changed my life and put my diabetes in remission. I am 5 foot 5 and weighed 155 pounds. I now weigh 120. The downside is that it took me two months to adjust to the drug. I went from .25 to eventually a weekly dose of .50. Those two months were horrible, but I persevered. The symptoms were extreme nausea and fatigue. The other challenge is that I have to be sure to keep up my caloric intake so that I don’t continue to lose weight. I am at my ideal weight, but I want to maintain it rather than lose any more."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on my third month of Wegovy. The day after my injection, I usually puke at least once and sleep 10+ hours with extreme fatigue and nausea. I started in February 2022, and now it's April 2022. I went from 247 lbs to 222 lbs. 25 pounds. I get ill if I eat sugary foods with this. I eat three small meals a day, a plant-based diet, with around 5,000 steps a day and little to no exercise outside of work. I felt good usually a couple of days after injections, and by the third week at the same dose, I had no side effects. The first two injections at a new dose aren't easy for me. I have missed work and had a hard time watching my two-year-old due to puking and fatigue. I gave 10 stars because it does as it says with side effects you are aware of to begin with."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfur burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness, only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to a 1 mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However, it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked in 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me, and I needed this medication. I started at 221 lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity, and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It has been brilliant for me. 43 kg/94 pounds lost in 9 months and not a hungry day. Almost no side effects. My doctor advised me to go to very small meals to start with, and I think that helped a lot. My sugars dropped from double normal to normal in less than 6 months. I did suffer a loss of energy at the start, but now I feel better than ever. Also, as an Aussie, it is dirt cheap at $180 a month for the 1 mg shot."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic 9 months ago. At the time, I was a little over 200 lbs and was taking 1000 mg of metformin daily. Metformin had worked for me for almost 20 years, so I didn't expect that it had suddenly stopped working. For 3 years, I gained weight even though I worked out, and I thought it was just my appetite out of control. One random day, I realized my metformin was the problem. I saw a new doctor who prescribed Ozempic. What a miracle! 9 months later, and I’m down 40 lbs, my A1C dropped from 8.1 to 5.6, and I have virtually no symptoms from the drug other than fullness. The symptoms in the beginning did not last long either. Nausea, headache, fatigue...all cleared up within a week or 2 each time my dose was increased. It can cause what feels like constipation, but for me, it’s just that I simply haven’t eaten enough. This drug feels too good to be true. I’m so pleased with my experience so far!"

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I was prescribed it for prediabetes and weight loss. Today, in one week since my first injection, I lost 6 lbs. In one week, the last diet (one of very many), it took me 3 months to lose 10 lbs by starving myself, which tells you how elevated sugar prevents you from losing weight. I am not diabetic, my A1C is 5.5. I had slight nausea and fatigue the first 2 days, and after that, it’s all gone and I never felt better. I have no cravings. I eat approximately 1000 calories a day, and it’s more than enough. Instead of constant thoughts of food, I do other things that I used to enjoy like exercise, etc. I am worried about coming off Ozempic before I lose all the weight I need. It is a miracle drug for me! I hope it will help you all! If they keep working on meds like this, it will reduce type 2 diabetes and obesity drastically."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic on Friday. I'm hoping the side effects go away because it has helped my blood sugar readings and helped with cravings. The side effects I'm having are horrible diarrhea, joint and muscle pain, and fatigue. I don't know how long these symptoms will last, but hopefully not long."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 3 months now, and I find this drug works like none I have tried before. The first 6 weeks were rough: burping, headaches, fatigue, nausea, but I stuck it out. I’m so glad I did. My A1C has gone from 8 to 6.8 in three months. I have lost 20 pounds, going from 180 to 160 lbs. My daily sugars have seen a vast improvement. The major thing I have noticed after being on the drug for this long is that recovery time after eating high-carb or high-sugar foods is back to normal. Appetite is still lacking, but it’s mostly an aversion to ‘bad’ food. I can no longer sit and eat an entire burger, it’s just way too much, but a healthy salad, I can eat the whole thing! I have seen major benefits from this drug. I have way more energy and no more 3 pm crash. Tips while adjusting to the drugs: Tums, Gravol, lots of sleep, light healthy meals, and remember to drink water! Also, I found injecting Ozempic in the hip lessened the symptoms for the first while."

For Type 2 Diabetes "On my 5th week of semaglutide, and my dose went from 0.25 mg to 0.50 mg as prescribed. I was taken aback by the first 3-4 days on 0.50 mg. After 4 weeks on 0.25 mg semaglutide with no significant side effects, but at the 0.50 mg dose, I developed strong nausea, weakness, and fatigue, and a feeling as if I was fighting the flu. My mobility and energy literally were quite impaired. By the end of day 4, I've noticed a slow, gradual improvement, and I was able to go out for some groceries. (Gravol for the nausea helped.) I'm hoping that I will continue to adapt to this medication because I really like its effectiveness for my diabetes. Since starting 5 weeks ago, my glucose dropped from 10+ to a new average of 7.0. I've also lost weight, my weight loss is already 10 lbs+, my stomach is flattening, and I can see other positive changes. This is the perfect med for me as it addresses my diabetes and is promoting noticeable weight loss. Overall, I am very pleased after 5 weeks on semaglutide."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd injection today of Wegovy. Started at 234.5 pounds. Down 8 so far. I'm not sure it's all Wegovy, as I've been able to lose 40 lbs on my own 2 separate times, and I am still doing the things that gave me that success before. Eating close to 1200 a day calories, walking 10,000 steps a day, and lowering alcohol consumption. Still, I do believe it is helping me get a good start and get my mind right. The fear of the side effects is what is probably keeping me in line. So far though, I've only had headaches and fatigue a day or so after the shots. Otherwise, no other side effects, so I am pleased so far with how things are going."

Semaglutide "I was astonished by how quickly my appetite vanished, and it has not returned. My weight is steadily dropping because I only need one meal a day. My side effects are 1. I find myself a little headachey, nothing too severe. 2. I have a constant dry mouth. That is a bit annoying. 3. My sleep patterns are affected. Also annoying. 4. Energy levels are down. 5. My desire for alcohol is way down. That's a good thing. I'm only 2 weeks into it, but getting this hunger monkey off my back is extraordinary. I would never have thought it possible. My first meal of the day is brunch, and then that's it, I don't have any further desire for food for the day and don't even think about it."
