Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I wanted to lose about 45 pounds and asked my cardiologist to prescribe Wegovy because I have cardiovascular disease. I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was at my heaviest in July, recovering from knee surgery-recovering from major abdominal surgery before ever being placed on Wegovy. I suffered with several issues due to increased weight gain, all the typical-some depression, never being able to lose more than 8 lbs., and then giving up. It's a struggle, and it was real. Prediabetic, having beginning stages of heart issues, orthopedically, beginning to have major issues with my joints and body. So many issues due to the increased weight gain from medicines and lifestyle. It was taking its toll. I started Wegovy in July (end of the month) at 279.8 pounds, my heaviest, and getting heavier every day. Today, February 11th-Injection day-and I weigh myself and keep track weekly on my phone. I'm at 238.4 pounds. I'm down 41.4 pounds and so proud of myself and my accomplishments. I'm at 1.0 shot and feeling well. I'm happier than ever, and I'm not looking back. I'm wearing clothes I never thought I would wear again. Feeling fantastic. This is the best thing to happen to me!!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This drug has definitely helped with decreasing my appetite and decreasing sugar cravings. I've been on semaglutide for 6 weeks and have lost 13 lbs so far. As far as side effects go, I've experienced some tiredness, nausea, and some stomach discomfort. Nothing debilitating. I'm going through a weight loss center. I go once a week for counseling and injections. I started out at 0.25 injection the first 30 days and am now up to 0.5 injections once a week."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have only been on Ozempic for 1 week, but so far it's been good. I do not seem to get as hungry, and after eating, I have a little discomfort in my stomach for 15 to 30 minutes, but then it goes away. I have lost 2 pounds, my sugar seems to be responding better and coming down when I check it, and I do not have that bloated feeling like I normally do. Fingers crossed!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "70 pounds down and maintained for over a year now. Wegovy in conjunction with a high-protein, low-carb food plan does it right. I am convinced that the majority of negative outcomes are due to people just shooting the drug and making no changes to their diet. Stay off the sugar, keep your carb intake to vegetables and limited fruits only. Constipation avoided by adding a magnesium citrate supplement. (I use Calm)."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I began on 3 mg and felt a little nauseous, lasting no more than an hour each day. The same with 7 mg, but when taken up to 14 mg, no more nausea and thankfully no other issues. I have noticed a weight loss to currently around a stone within 6 months total."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It seems to keep my glucose in control at about the 105 range, and I have lost 20 lbs in the two months or so that I have been taking it. I just don't feel hungry and see no need to eat large meals when not hungry. I do eat sensibly, but much less than before."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have no side effects. Taking it made me realize that I also have to do my part if I want to lose weight and hopefully get rid of Diabetes 2. Recently, 5 coworkers have noticed my 30-pound weight loss, and it makes me so proud of myself! Which, honestly, I haven't felt in a long time. My husband transitioned to Heaven years ago, and my 29-year-old son struggles in life. The chance to get healthy for him, to help him, means the world to me! It's true, though, if you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of others. I'm feeling like I can continue on my journey losing weight. I still have 40 more pounds to go. Semaglutide "I am a 58-year-old female. I lost 70 pounds with Ozempic. I am so, so thankful. Last Friday, my new nurse practitioner changed my medicine to Zepbound. Let me tell you, I craved sweets and was hungry. I cried. This Zepbound, to me, was a joke. I'm calling first thing Monday, I want back on Ozempic. I know there's a lot of bad things being said about this drug. I don't understand, but it's not for everyone, and I hope they're not over-taking it to try to lose more weight. I know I've been overweight my whole life, and I've been guilty of taking a diet pill when I was younger, taking one more than I should. I'm not saying this is what is happening to everyone, but it's possible they're not waiting for the right time to take the right dose. I can't complain, it's been a godsend to me. I hope and pray they don't take it off the market. There are people like me that have changed my life for the better."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on semaglutide for 10 months and lost 19 lbs. I lost quickly at first, now it is slowing down over the last 6 months. I did not feel like eating much for the first half, loss of appetite and stomachache. Now I eat and get my stomachache about 1/2 hr after eating and wish I did not eat. I have constipation and take a stool softener once a week and then a mild laxative once a month. My tastes have changed also."

I take a 0.5 mg shot once a week, and I feel better than I have since before my last pregnancy 13 years ago. I tried everything to lose weight, and it just wouldn't come off. I have a family history of heart disease that includes my father having his first heart attack at 36, resulting in open-heart surgery, and his death at 49 from another heart attack. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, plus I weighed 230 pounds at 5'4" tall. I asked my doctor for a couple of years to prescribe a semaglutide, but because it was only really available for diabetics, she refused. No longer have all the “food noise.” Eliminated all the snacking, and portion sizes naturally reduced during meal time as a result of the drug. Hearing some reviews where later doses caused more significant side effects, but so far, highly recommend."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy since 12/2022. I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."
