Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am older and without the strength to open the bottle. I have found if I turn it upside down and hit the bottom with a hammer a couple of times, it opens easily. After using Rybelsus a few years, I have developed more side effects, constipation, sleepiness, and nausea, but I'll work through it because this drug keeps my diabetic levels perfect."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been taking Ozempic since the beginning of March 2025. My starting dose was 0.25 and I am now at 1.0. At the time I started, I weighed about 193 and am now weighing 156 lbs. The only side effects I seem to be dealing with and do not like are nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Ozempic has curbed my appetite considerably, as well as my liquid intake, which I don't mind since I've lost a lot of my weight. Right now, my biggest problem is finding clothes to fit me and deciding if I should keep my old clothes or donate them. I really haven't bought much in the way of new clothes in part because I don't know how much more weight I am going to lose, plus the expense of buying new clothes. My goal is to weigh somewhere between 135 and 140. My A1c is down from 8.9 to 8.1, I would like that to be lower, like 7.1."

You do have to watch what you eat, some foods, especially fried foods, make you feel horrible. I’ve been on it for 1 year, which is good because I lost slowly, not all at once. The longer you keep the weight off. You do have to change your eating habits. In the beginning, I had a lot of heartburn, but I took OTC medicine, and eventually, I no longer had this problem. I’m not a big water drinker, so I’m trying to drink more water to help with constipation. You also have to limit your alcohol intake, so 1 glass of wine at dinner, and that’s it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Just started this drug on 3g. I am suffering from headaches. Feel tired, hungry, missing my sugar, trying to give it up, but a reading of 7.8 makes me feel poorly. I am used to very high blood sugar, 14 to 18. I do take other drugs not associated with diabetes. This may be why I have side effects."

I lost fifty pounds on my own then gained it back, weighing 254 when I first started taking Ozempic at .5. I went to the doctor's office today and I lost ten pounds. It’s been a month to about two. I was shocked because I have been eating a bit and a lot of cheese; imagine if I curbed my appetite. I went up to 1 today and she said in three months at the next appointment I got, she’ll up it to the highest two. I said awesome. I really haven’t had any side effects. Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Started this medication last July 2024 for cardiovascular risk reduction and prediabetes. Some very mild nausea in the first two weeks and mild constipation (just eat Activia yogurt). Have lost 22 pounds so far and normal blood sugar and A1C within three months, plus lower cholesterol. No other side effects. Definitely worth it for me, but I did read these reviews ahead of time and some were scary, so I thought I would share this as it has been positive for me."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease for 10 years. My first 5 years after diagnosis, my diet consisted of a very clean diet. Low sodium, 1000 mg per day, boneless chicken, salads, fruits, and vegetables. By year 6, after losing 20 pounds, my diet remained the same and I started gaining weight again. My last five years, I gained my 20 pounds back. I am closer to 50, do not drink alcohol, have been taking Wegovy now for 4 weeks, no symptoms or side effects. I still eat a very clean diet, I find I am full faster and for longer than in the past. I also stopped eating supper at 7:30 at night. I don’t wake up hungry in the morning and feel positive about my first 4 weeks. I also exercise by walking, take vitamin D3 and calcium, I have limited mobility for high-impact workouts because I have 8 herniated discs in my cervical spine, thoracic spine, and lumbar spine. Semaglutide "I was astonished by how quickly my appetite vanished, and it has not returned. My weight is steadily dropping because I only need one meal a day. My side effects are 1. I find myself a little headachey, nothing too severe. 2. I have a constant dry mouth. That is a bit annoying. 3. My sleep patterns are affected. Also annoying. 4. Energy levels are down. 5. My desire for alcohol is way down. That's a good thing. I'm only 2 weeks into it, but getting this hunger monkey off my back is extraordinary. I would never have thought it possible. My first meal of the day is brunch, and then that's it, I don't have any further desire for food for the day and don't even think about it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been using Ozempic for almost 3 years now for Type II. As far as weight loss goes, it's nothing to speak of, and for me, it's more muscular weight loss than fat weight loss, so this is not good. However, as far as getting my diabetes under control, it's been great, and that's my real benefit from it, not the weight loss."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on it for 3-4 years now. My blood sugars have been stable since taking the medication. The side effects are manageable with changes in diet. Gallstones are the most serious side effects I have suffered. I was lucky. No surgery, being closely monitored, and I got to go back on Ozempic. Avoid fried foods."
