For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like 90% of the ladies that have left a review, I am lying in bed at 12 AM in pain and researching what happened. I’ve used this product in the past, and it worked fine. They most certainly have changed their formula because there is no way so many people would be saying the same thing. I saw a comment on here where the gal tried blaming the negative reviews on us ladies in agony having possible other underlying issues such as an STD, but there is NO WAY that the problem based on the pure volume of vaginas on fire. This is definitely an issue with the product. The consensus I am getting is...go wash your lady bits, get an ice pack if you have one, take deep breaths for the next 1-4 hrs, and if you still have a YI tomorrow...seek an alternate solution. May the force be with you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terrible. This is the worst OTC treatment I've ever tried to use for a yeast infection. Within seconds, my vagina was on fire, and I thought I was having some sort of allergic reaction to it. The FDA should be pulling this from the market. Ladies, there are plenty of other treatments available that do not cause pain to an already irritated (and sensitive) area. You've been warned!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not buy this product. This is my first time getting a yeast infection. Right after I used the first dose, my vagina was burning and itching inside and out. I took 400 mg of ibuprofen, and that helped a bit. It took about an hour for the burning to get better. I inserted the second dose tonight, took an ibuprofen, but the pain was worse, and I feel like I inserted cayenne pepper inside. Can’t believe this is still being sold. I’m reporting this to the FDA. This product should be taken off the market. Please request your MD to write a Rx for a Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So after 3 pages of these reviews and an hour later, the burning finally let up just enough for me to attempt to go to sleep. This is instructed to take at night, so you can slowly die alone. This is my first YI, and I tried this, and yes, the pain is definitely worse than the infection itself! It started buzzing immediately!! Twisting, turning, squeezing, patting everything for an hour straight, I’ve read that it means it is getting rid of the yeast, which let me feel a little better, but this right here hurts! I will probably never use this product again, and after all this pain, let’s pray it actually works."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Every person is completely different. Some are more sensitive than others. I had a horrible reaction to this medication and will never use it again! It literally feels like battery acid was put in my whoha. It isn’t supposed to be so painful that you cannot do or think of anything else. Take this stuff off the shelf!"

I was lucky I had leftover oxycodone from a surgery a couple of months ago. But even after taking that, I could still feel some pain! Like pouring acid straight into your vagina. Yeah, it got rid of the yeast, but also 5 layers of skin…"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG let me start off by saying I WILL NEVER be using Monistat again! I used the ovule (little awful egg) and inserted it. I was fine then 3 hours later my hooha starts itching like CRAZY and I couldn’t resist the itch. I'm currently sitting on the toilet and it’s been a good 50 mins with this unbearable itch and pain. I’ve been using toilet paper dipped in cold water to relieve the burning and itching. I’ve used the ovule and the insertable cream in the past, but I don’t remember it being this bad. I will be using different brands in the future after this bad experience. Currently trying not to pee after I read the reviews. I think Monistat just wants to remind me how horrible it is to be a woman, thanks to their amazing side effects on my hooha (sarcasm). I really hope this burning and itching goes away because I have a date in 3 hours and I don’t want to be moving like crazy due to my coochie."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took it at midnight and woke up at 4:15 a.m. feeling like my cookie was on fire. I have taken this product once before and knew that it burned, but this time was different. I checked the panty liner to change it, and I was literally bleeding from it burning my insides. I suggest taking a lukewarm bath to help the burning a little bit and pop a sleeping pill because this pain is going to continue for about 6 hours after inserting. Yes, I know that the burning is the product getting rid of the yeast, but it was burning me so badly that blood was coming out is not normal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "You know, years ago, absolutely no issues with this stuff. Maybe a slight burn and itch after putting it in/on, but overall, no problems. Monistat was my go-to if I ever had a YI. Well, I don't know if they’ve changed their ingredients, but holy freaking cow, my hoo-ha is on freaking fire. I know there are some ladies on here that say burning is normal and it will pass. Okay, no. THIS burning is over the top, feels like my vagina is ripping apart and lava is coming out of it. Immediate pain 500 times worse than the actual infection. I didn’t even leave it on for more than a minute, and I’m still withering in pain hours later. I’m calling the doctor for the pill in the morning. Holy vagina! Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I saw a positive review saying, “it is only mildly increased burning.” No, it is not. The comments are funny and soothing when you’re in this amount of pain, BUT THIS IS NOT A JOKE. The pain you feel after inserting the lava egg is no joke. I’ve never been in more pain in my life. Please save yourself if it’s not too late already. If you’re already in, good luck. I took a shower and scooped out what I could. Unfortunately, it had already hatched inside me, unleashing the fire ants within. Don’t listen to the good reviews, THE BURN IS REAL."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The worst! I can't believe this torture! I used Monistat 3 four years ago without an issue, so I didn't think twice about using the product this time! The burning fury feels like a volcano in my cooch! I'm in so much pain, this is absolutely crazy! I should've read these reviews before I went to the store! This is the 3rd day so hopefully the burning fire will end! Good luck, ladies... I will definitely use Vagistat or generic next time, hopefully there won't be a next time after this torture!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a yeast infection from taking antibiotics. I bought Monistat 3 Day suppositories. I have used it before but never had the pain and burning like this time. I have used two of the suppositories and tonight, I am so on fire I am sitting on an ice pack. The yeast infection sure feels a lot better than the treatment. I don't even want to use this again. Something has changed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first experience with a YI. I don’t know much about them, so I just bought the first thing I saw (aka Monistat 1), and OMG, I thought the discomfort of the YI itself was bad, well, just wait!! I have never experienced more pain and itching in my life. I inserted the egg around 10 pm, and it is now 1:30 am. The pain has dialed down, but I am still feeling discomfort. I recommend tightly shoving a blanket or pillow between your legs and hope for the best because, oh my. I’ve seen a lot of reviews having issues with the external cream as well, however, that actually worked quite well for me. All I can say is, this better work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OH MY LORD IN HEAVEN! I have had many YIs in my life and have always used Monistat. NEVER have I ever had it turn my nether regions into the burning surface of the sun like this!!! I did exactly what the instructions said, like I have done many times before, but seconds after applying said cream to my secret garden, it felt like a million tiny little fire ants were trying to burn it down! I sat back on the toilet, automatically hoping the air would relieve some pain. BIG MISTAKE!! Because what usually happens when you sit on the toilet, even if you don’t have to go, a tiny bit of pee comes out, thanks to five babies. Well, those few drops down there made it feel like all hell broke loose and I had angered the gods. I jumped up and hopped in the bath, and finally, the pain was gone. I already am in pain from getting dry socket from a tooth removal, and honestly, I would take the dry socket over the burning fires that Monistat just created in my nether regions! Thanks a lot, Monistat…"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I should have learned my lesson twice through the years, so maybe third time's a charm. I decided to go with the 1-day Monistat because I wanted my mild yeast infection to go away, don't we all? Everything felt fine at first, but now it feels like someone is taking a blowtorch to my vulva while tickling it with a feather going into the vagina. Like I said, this isn't the first time I've experienced this, but I'm always hoping it will be different. Did the 3-day a few years ago and had the same experience. If you don't mind pain and itching, this stuff does work, it's just not enjoyable. Make sure you have some Benadryl and aspirin on hand just in case."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had my first ever YI after an antibiotic treatment. I used a generic OTC cream the first day as well as Diflucan. Fast forward 2 days, still really uncomfortable, so I purchased Monistat 3 thinking I’d knock this, smooth everything out, and be good as new. WRONG!! Day 1, I woke up the next morning after inserting the first tube with worse itching and burning than I started with. To its credit, I do agree my symptoms were gone that day. So, night 2, I insert the next tube, not really connecting the worsening symptoms to the cream. 3 hours later, I woke up to the worst pain I’ve ever had. My coochie was on fire and felt like fire ants were just going to town. I cried and thought something was insanely wrong and I needed to go to the ER. I found all these reviews and thought how can someone sell this product. I should never have bought this cream and never will again. If you are here, it’s probably too late for you. Take a bath and read these reviews, the only thing that helped me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My wife is crying out in pain. I’m hearing things I’ve never heard from even the most traumatized patients. She used the Monistat 3 about two hours ago, and her pain is a 4.6 million out of ten. A while ago, she screamed, “Why???!!!! WHY HAVE THE GATES OF HELL POURED THEIR CONTENTS INTO MY BODY??” A large pack of coyotes is circling our house, howling. They hear and sense a dying animal. I found these reviews, and it’s sad to see what this product is doing to you all. I’m sorry. Monistat, you owe me three fire extinguishers as I try to save my wife from the pack of wild animals outside. In all seriousness, I’m actually very worried about her. It’s BAD!!!
