For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat before and I have never experienced anything worse regarding my vag. Monistat 3 specifically is what I just used and I cannot believe how awful this stuff feels. I put it in and thirty seconds later, I sat back on the toilet ready to throw ice cubes up there. This stuff is poison. Burns and itches like there was acid and peroxide in my bits. The feeling is persistent, but I haven't laughed this hard in a long time, reading these reviews while in this pain was way too relatable. If you're reading this, it's too late."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Haven't had a YI in years, in the past used Monistat 3, I think? The little ovule things, no issues, instant relief, ten gold stars. Well, this time I grabbed Monistat 1. I inserted the ovule, slapped on a panty liner, hit the hay. Woke up 2 hours later, cookie on FIRE! CRAZY BURNING, ITCHING, FREAKING OUT, so I went into the bathroom and tried to soothe myself with the external cream provided... HAH, WOW, NOPE! SO MUCH WORSE, just dabbed it off with toilet paper, changed the panty liner, and went back to bed to assume the fetal position and scour the internet for reviews or solutions, to see if I really messed up and need an ambulance or what, LOL. Gotta say, by the time I got through about 8 pages of awful/HILARIOUS reviews, the burning and itching are just about totally gone and I could fall back asleep now. There's a bit of heat left but nothing too crazy. So my takeaway - temporarily ALARMING!!! but seemingly worth it. Because if you're here, it's probably too late to tell you to buy something else, LOL."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the 3-day cream. Inserted it into my NoNo zone, felt soothing. As soon as I pulled up my underwear, I felt a burning sensation like no other. My Vag feels like I have a zillion papercut burns, that were then doused in a cocktail of lemon juice, acid, and alcohol while a trillion fire ants crawled out of my private parts. It feels like a ghost pepper was also crushed up to a fine powder and sprinkled on top of all the above-mentioned items. The itching and burning are so severe I feel like I'm going to vomit. Dear God, what have I done in my life to deserve this misery? I'm so delirious I can barely type. I will never again use this product!!! I'd rather live with a YI for the rest of my life instead of feeling this kind of pain ever again. Do not recommend!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Y’all know that feeling of the runs exploding after eating Chipotle? Imagine this, but in your cooter. Lava, itchiness that compares to the pits of lava, and your lips swell like you had vaginal fillers. Their formula must have changed, but at this point, I’m down to file a suit if any other cooter sisters are with me?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Everyone up here is such a baby. It’s supposed to itch more because the medicine is literally forcing the yeast out of your vagina all at once. This product is amazing. I’m currently pregnant & Even before pregnancy Monistat was my go-to. It itches & burns but it literally goes away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Really? I'm sick with this stupid YI and someone told me to use Monistat. I chose the one-day dose. Never used it before. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! It set off every fire alarm in the house. Five minutes after using it, I was rushing back to the bathroom with my girl on FIRE! The candles in the bathroom were literally igniting from the heat. And the itching was so intense I wanted to take a Brillo Pad to it. The cream leaked out and made such a mess I had to put on a pad. Monistat suggests using at night so no one will know what horrible pain you're in. You won't get any sleep tonight, girls!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, at first it burned like lava for almost 4 hours. I didn't know what was going on. I even thought about going to the ER. But after those 4 hours, I feel so much better, no burning or itching anymore. So hang in there, ladies, it only means the medicine is working towards that horrible yeast infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the love of all that is holy, I pray you’ve come to read these reviews BEFORE buying and inserting this lava egg into your garden. I feel as though this medicine has given me the power to breathe fire from my twat. Immediately after inserting the ovule and applying the cream, I felt burning in my vag. It was as though I had the fire from 1,000 suns captured inside of me, and they were itching to be released. The pain from this medication is 10,000 times worse than the infection itself. I have since squatted and spat the little lava egg out, wiped all topical ointment off, and I’m sitting in a bath trying to decide which type of ice pack will fit best in between my lady parts. I’m praying this pain at least resolves my issue. If not, I’ll be calling my gyno tomorrow. If I were you, I would start there. And do not under any circumstances let them convince you that Monistat is the way to go."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bought the 3-day Monistat vaginal ovules and wow, my vagina is literally a flaming torch. The entire thing feels like someone has lit my cooter on fire and poured 17 bottles of Frank's RedHot sauce all over it. I don't even know what to do with myself. I've been running back and forth from the bathroom trying to get it out from inside me, but the burning is truly unbearable, not to mention also itchy. I've been putting a cold compress down there, which has given me some relief. Unfortunately, it's 2:00 AM and I can't sleep. Monistat needs to be taken off the shelves, this is a crime to the female population. Pray for my burning coot."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "No, just no! I have used Monistat 1 and 3-day in the past, several years ago, and never, I mean NEVER have I had this current experience. Immediate burning and itching that made me want to jump up and down, holding my hooha, and run to the freezer to find an ice pack! Disclaimer: do not insert a popsicle, no matter how appealing this may sound to you if you are experiencing the burning I experience #YeastInfectionOnRoids. Of course, the itching from my YI felt so much better after just the first Monistat syringe! My vag was completely desensitized from the itching and burning the Monistat caused. I’d love to know what and why Monistat changed in their product. Feels like I slathered ghost pepper, habanero, wasabi sauce on my cooch."

I was going crazy and thinking it wasn’t going to work. Moments later the burning and itching started! The only thing that is making me feel better is reading all these comments knowing I'm not alone! Also first time using Monistat don’t think I'll use it again"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections frequently, and I have always just used generic brands. I never had a bad experience. Yesterday, I bought Monistat for the first time ever, and I will never use it again because it put me in so much pain. Usually, I just insert the generic brand and go right to sleep, but not even a minute after I started feeling a burning/scratching sensation, and it kept getting worse. I wasn’t even scratching myself, and my lady bits started to swell. I tried to get as much as I could out of me, and then the only reason I was able to fall asleep was that I laid a cold compress on myself. I even woke up this morning, and right away, I felt fine until I went to the bathroom, and the burning sensation started again, and I began to swell. I will never use this product again, and I don’t think any women should. Any girl reading this, you need to just get a generic brand because you will get rid of your yeast infection pain-free."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, this is pretty much my first experience with a YI. Earlier this month, my doctor found BV and yeast under the microscope, and she gave me medicine for both. I had sex with my partner after all of my treatments and symptoms had gone, and literally, my YI came back, but it was slight burning, cottage cheese-like discharge, with no smell or no itching. So, to save me a trip, I purchased the 3-day Monistat. I took a shower, inserted the tube, and it was soothing at first. I applied the itch cream even though I didn’t have any itching. About 10 minutes later, I felt burning all over and around my vagina. It subsided maybe like 1 hour or so later, but then it started itching like crazy inside my vagina, like I wanted to itch. Now it’s calming down again. I will wait to see what my symptoms are like in the morning, but I probably won’t use this again, as it increased my YI symptoms or created symptoms that were never there in the first place."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on the 3rd night of a 3-day Monistat cream insert. I took ibuprofen before inserting the last dose - fast forward 3 hours and I literally just woke up (* I only wake up in pain with migraines, no other pain wakes me up) with a terrible itching sensation - convinced my YI is not going away because there’s no way my burning and itching (not to mention severely irritated labia) is caused by the actual medicine. Then I found this forum of reviews and wow I really wish I had read it before trying this med. I used Vagistat 3-day months ago for a different YI with no issues. Never again Monistat! If you want to be up at 2 a.m. writing a scathing review, then feel free to use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am not doing well. This is my second YI in my life, and both times now I have used Monistat 3. The first time I inserted the product lying down and later got up and used the bathroom, which was a terrible mistake. The liquid started falling out of me and burned so bad I thought my vagina was on fire. I took a shower and spent 20 minutes trying to get all of the product out. I lay down again, scrolled through reviews, and the burning stopped after an hour. Although I removed most of the product early, the next day my vagina felt almost good as new. Fast forward to now (about a year later), I decided to give this product another try and not make the mistake of getting up after inserting. Unfortunately, standing up isn’t the problem. I have been lying down, with the insides of my vagina burning and itching for the past hour. My cooch feels like a hot pepper has been shoved up it. I am having a very tough time. Although this product works, I would not recommend it to others."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was getting to the point I couldn’t stand my vagina, so I forced my husband to fetch me the 3-day Monistat. I inserted the strange egg into my vagina and smeared the cream all over. About 5 minutes later, I was trying to make tacos, and a severe itch started, followed by an intense burn. I thought it was in my head, but it started increasing. My baby started crying during this climbing of the burn, and I literally thought I was about to go insane. My heart was racing, I was sweating profusely, and I couldn’t think straight. My husband asked if I was okay, and I had to literally abandon the tacos and baby to go into the bathroom and try and get this out. I guess it was the cream that caused this because getting most of it out, the pain actually went away... Here I am 3 hours later, and I actually feel great. My take is: it worked, but you gotta commit and crawl through the depths of hell to get to the other side."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Now I know why my doctor advised me to use M7, not M3...! M7 is a lower strength than M3, which is 'regular strength.' The first applicator I used itched and burned like crazy within a few minutes. It was so unbearable I ended up using the bathroom to push it out and then took a shower to rinse it out. BUT...to my astonishment, the next day both itch and discharge diminished - not completely, but definitely and noticeably much less. That encouraged me to apply the second dosage. Except this time I took my sweet time pushing in the plunger. I pushed a little, then paused, and repeated until the entire dosage was applied. It took me a good 10 minutes total. There was a long continuous mild itching, which was irritating, but it did not burn. I took Benadryl to take the edge off and fall asleep. Fingers crossed..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have never in my life left a review on anything. Not Amazon, not a restaurant, not a game, nor a forum. What has Monistat changed???? I used this several times in the past, and I have never experienced this terrible burning/itching. Like seriously, if it weren’t for everyone else’s reviews, I would think I had an STD that I didn’t know about. I am on fire and trying my best not to run to the tub, turn the shower on, and hit a handstand. And wait... what’s that smell? Oh! That’s just my vagina burning to a black crisp!!! Save your cookies, ladies. I remember I used to have one twenty minutes ago!!! Seriously, just get Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've never had a yeast infection before, but I went on antibiotics for kidney stones (side note, worst experience of my life), and for the first time ever, it severely messed up my downstairs. I keep a very clean house, my door is locked at all times, the Chamber of Secrets stays closed, so when stuff hits the fan, it gets ugly. After several days of burning, itching, pain, I finally followed my mother's advice to get the 3-day Monistat syringes. I had used Vagisil previously, and even that burned, but it went away eventually. So when this started burning and itching after I used it, it was almost expected. I thought, oh okay, it'll go away. Nope. Nope. Nope. NOPE. My downstairs has become deeper downstairs. It is the worst. It is a lava pit. It is the depths of the hottest lava pit in existence. But with a colony of fire ants living in it. I don't even care if this works to fix my yeast infection, there's not a chance that I'm using this ever again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY!!! I’ve used this product for YEARS with much success - until last night! I had a mild YI (slight itch at night, thick white discharge, discomfort after peeing). I’ve obviously had a few YIs before, so I knew this was the start. I figured I would just buy the 1-day treatment and clear it up easy peasy. WRONG. They must have changed their formula because what I felt inside and out of my vagina was like fire. I inserted the cream about 11:30 last night, and less than a minute later, I felt what could have been someone dumping acid in my vagina. I’m talking the heat of flames. I used a towel to wipe excess off and ended up just counting numbers in my head to take my mind off the pain and eventually fell asleep. Thank God. This morning, I wake up, and while I’m not itching or have discomfort when I pee, the top outside of my vulva is ON FIRE!!! So here I am, writing a review as I have a cold water bottle and a fan blowing on my lady bits."

'Mild burning' equates to it would be more comfortable to take your whoha on a magical journey to the sun, being carried by fire ants and bees, and then return to the fiery gates of hell."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, it only burns if your yeast infection is really bad. I have used Monistat a million times. Sometimes my yeast infections were not so bad, so when inserted, there was no itching. But when you have a full-blown, nasty yeast infection, when you apply Monistat, it’s going to burn like anything. But it gets rid of the infection for sure."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I decided to go with the Monistat 1 because I didn’t want to do a 3 or 7-day treatment. It’s 8:13 am, and I'm lying in bed crying in severe pain, itching like crazy and sleepy because my meds (unrelated to a YI) have been wanting to knock me out for hours ago. But I can’t sleep!! This is the worst vaginal pain I’ve had, and I’ve birthed 3 children. I can’t stop squirming either, this is way worse than the freaking yeast infection. I’m going to have to get an ice pack to soothe my vagina, horrible treatment. I wish they offered a pill OTC that could cure a simple YI because this is ridiculous, pure torture is what it is."
