For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Really minor YI. Intense increase in burning and itching less than a minute after application. Only settling down after 2 showers (the first was taken 5 minutes after application), a lot of wet wipes, and an hour later. Do. Not. Use."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first time I had a YI, I used a Walmart brand 3-day. I had no pain, no issues. This time I tried Monistat 1-day… never again. I told my boyfriend it felt like there were drops of sun in this. It has to have something to do with lava, fire, and fire ants, I think. I put it in around midnight and woke up at 5 a.m. in INCREDIBLE amounts of pain, itching, and discomfort. It’s almost 7, and the pain is finally slowing. It now only feels like subtle icy hot has been used on my hooha."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just finished my 7-day treatment. Here is the breakdown. The “burning” is the medicine working and breaking down the infection, and for me, it is mild and does not last long, let alone all night. Day 1 was the worst, after insertion, my area burned and itched for a good 2 hours. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable and did go away. Day 2 after insertion was better, still discomfort for about 2 hours but not as bad. By Day 4 after insertion, it was only about an hour of very mild discomfort. Bottom line, this medicine works. It is not pleasant, and for me, it certainly is not as bad as described in other reviews. This medicine does the job, and I would use it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been battling a yeast infection for over a month. The first dose was a 1-day cream which burned horribly and made my vagina swell and itch! After about 2 weeks, I used another one, but it was 'the lava egg' and it didn't burn as much. 2 weeks later, I realize neither of them worked, so I decide to see a doctor. The doctor confirms it's a YI and prescribed me the pill. Almost 2 weeks later, it also hasn't worked, just improved my symptoms a little bit. I'm just so desperate to get rid of this that I just must have forgotten how painful Monistat is and that it didn't work before because I just bought another box to see if maybe it'll wipe out the remaining infection. I got lucky. I only applied the external cream, which itches so bad I wanna drag my cooter across the rug like an animal, but haven't inserted the pill. These reviews have me wondering if there might be something wrong with the medication. I'm going to ask my doctor about this because this is ridiculous."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I put in the 1-day ovule, went to sleep, and woke up 3 hours later because my vagina was on fire! So itchy, and also burning! I've used Monistat several times before, and this never happened. I think they must have changed the formula because this stuff is TERRIBLE! Do not use this product!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "(This review goes into graphic detail, just a warning). Yes. It hurts. SO BAD. It itches like you can't even imagine; you feel like there's a volcano between your legs, etc. BUT IT ACTUALLY WORKS. This is my go-to for getting rid of yeast infections. I just finished the worst one I've ever had, and I got Monistat 1 because I was on my period and didn't want to keep reapplying. The first 3 days were itchy and miserable and gross, but by day 4 it didn't itch unless I was peeing/changing my pad (do not use tampons during a yeast infection), and within a week it was gone. I did think I was having an allergic reaction the first time I took Monistat, especially after reading the other reviews on here, but after trying to beat a later yeast infection by eating Greek yogurt, I can assure you that the Monistat really does work. TL;DR It hurts but it works!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the Monistat 3 Day treatment cream, thinking I would get rid of my infection quicker, didn’t want to drag the treatment out for 7 days. BIG MISTAKE. Night #2, and the medicine all leaked out and is causing intense burning and itching at the entrance of my vagina. I knew the first dose didn’t help, but I wasn’t expecting the 2nd dose to make things worse. I have a bad yeast infection, but this “medication” is making it much worse. I have been crying, and I am extremely nervous and uncomfortable. I will never purchase a Monistat name brand product again. EVER."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 15, and this is my first night using Monistat 7, and boy, do I tell you! The itch is extremely bad! The itch is coming from the inside, and I'm in tears from how bad it itches! It's so bad I've lost track of time, but I've been itching now for about 40 minutes, and it's eased just a bit. No more crying, but I'll continue the product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well… I have had yeast infections before, but this one has been pretty stubborn. I went to the store to get Monistat one-day treatment, and let me tell you, I’d rather be dead than alive right now. The burning and itching sensation is no joke, and all of these reviews are so accurate. The only thing that is keeping me from ripping my vagina out is reading these hilarious reviews. Please go to the doctor and get prescription medication over this demon in a box. Seriously… this type of pain should be illegal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So sitting here at 4 in the morning because I did not insert the lava egg until about 2 1/2 hours ago. I am slowly starting to feel better. About 3 months ago, I used the 7-day cream and literally just wanted to end life itself because I didn’t think I could carry on any longer. This time, I used the one-day, and about an hour after going to sleep, I woke up knowing the end was near once again. The CRAZY itching and swelling! Reading these, though, makes me feel not alone and like other people, maybe, made it out with their downstairs area intact. Please save yourselves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So basically, I have a UTI. So they gave me Bactrim. The second that I took that damn antibiotic, I started itching. So I called the nurse at the urgent care, and she told me to get some Monistat. Got the Monistat today, and I put it on. Not only am I itching like crazy, but it’s burning!!! It is 3:36 in the morning, and I’m still up!!! This is not my first yeast infection, but it is my first time using Monistat. I am NEVER using this again! Seriously! Before using it, the itching was barely noticeable, but now I CANNOT sleep!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like other reviewers have noticed, someone must have changed the formula! I haven't had a YI in over a decade and used Monistat-1 when I did. The only pain I remember from that experience was me clawing at my hoo-haw until it was raw because it itched so bad. Fast forward like 15 years, I got a mild YI and grabbed old faithful at the store. Holy Monistat, Batman! I thought I must have misdiagnosed myself and that I was, in fact, infected with some rare vag disease that didn't take kindly to meds. Glad to know it was actually the meds and not my lady bits shriveling up and dying. If that wasn't bad enough, I thought I was pretty much cured (close to 3 days in) and got the urge for hanky-panky... now I think I just signed up for needing another dose of hellfire. Don't do what I did! Wait at least 5 days to be safe, and even then, reconsider using this ever again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Use the Monistat ovule and cream, and it set my entire downtown on fire! I felt like it was melting plastic down there. I only used it as a cleanse down there in the event of yeast before I started using my PH-D suppositories. This has been the absolute worst pain, and I’ve had kids. The burning is unbearable, and the itching is just irritating to me. But I’d rather have the itch than this burn. I’ll stick to a good probiotic regimen. Maybe it’s working effectively! No pain, no gain, I guess."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy moly... I needed to read this an hour ago. I am a woman with a naturally larger labia... but now it is monstrous. I mean you could create a whole sci-fi alien creature out of what is overflowing my panty line. I am sitting on the couch breathing and concentrating like I am in labor. I don't know what to do about the pain and itching. I am terrified to stand up because, God forbid, what is in me starts flowing out of me. Monistat 1 was my choice for a hormonal yeast infection. Stupid pre-menopause."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "On the 14th, I used Monistat for 1 day and the external itch cream. The next day, what was a minor itch had turned into a full-blown fire from hell burning down there. Later that evening, I could barely pee because of the pain from the pee hitting my lips, so my boyfriend took me to urgent care. The doctor told me to stop Monistat and gave me Diflucan. I showed my mom (who was an ICU nurse), and she said it looked like 3rd-degree burns. I came online to read that other people also have chemical/3rd-degree burns from this crap. I have had to lay on a towel the last few days to let her air out and dry as she simultaneously drips blood from the burns. Yesterday, the 18th, the outer lips were finally beginning to scab up. I accidentally sat down on the toilet lid, thinking it was just the toilet seat, and the pain from it touching my hoo-haw made me jump up, and the scabs ripped off, and I’m back to bleeding and excruciating pain. I will NEVER use Monistat again. How is this even legal?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had read the earlier reviews to prepare myself. Oh my goodness, this itches quite a bit, is that seriously wrong? Because I know hydrogen peroxide itches and burns when it's cleaning a cut. Maybe that's the same thing. I haven't tried the itch cream that comes with it, but that's for external use, and the itching is internal, with warnings on the box not to scratch. Gonna be a rough night."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again, oooohhh, I wish I had read the reviews. I have had yeast infections before, and I have always gone to the doctor. This time, I thought it would be more convenient to use Monistat. It was the most excruciating burning and itching I have ever experienced. NEVER had that happened with medicine from the doctor. Please do not use this product, and if you’re looking at the reviews and it’s too late, like me, keep reading because some will give you a good laugh through the pain. I never write reviews, but this was such a TERRIBLE experience I had too."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So it all began having itchiness in my anus. I ignored it for 4 months or even more because I've been shy to see the doctor. Tuesday, Feb 13, I began to feel itchiness, burning sensations inside my vagina and on my inner labia, as well as pain. It got worse as the days went by. Friday morning, I went to see my doctor. She said that most likely I have pinworms. Okay. So she prescribed pinworm treatment, loratadine, and a cream for my behind. She also recommended buying Monistat. So I did. My vagina and my inner labia condition was already very bad. I was crying, but after putting the Monistat cream, it worsened!! I am crying my eyes out, it burns like chili sauce and it itches like crazy! I can't do the daily things I usually do, and it is making me very upset."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It works, but beware of side effects with almost immediate response. At the end, I will offer a relief method that you may or may not know of, but I had many awful YI before I finally found it, so hopefully, it helps somebody. Since this stuff is so powerful, it begins going to work like the seven dwarfs on your coochie right away. It will start slaughtering the infection, literally. So yes, the burn, the itch, and agony following are completely normal. If you notice basically anything healing, it will itch. So I have learned a baking soda bath works wonders. Instant relief. Sit for as long as you need and hope you feel better soon, the razor-sharp burn and the ants in your panties will be gone before you know it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "No. Just no. I tried this on my first yeast infection, and it made everything 10,000 times worse. It's insanely itchy. Just go to a doctor or find a different product. My hooha feels like a flaming mosquito bite."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Even though this is only my first time having a yeast infection due to the soap I was using frequently (now not using), Monistat 3 is giving me the worst itching and burning sensation I have ever experienced in the lower lady area. It started to itch and burn as soon as I put in the applicator and medicine, and it is 1:27 am and cannot sleep or even think about sleep because of how badly I am itching and burning. I do not recommend this product for anyone and do recommend just going to the doctor's for their recommendation for prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I put the Monistat 1 in about 2 hours before going out with friends because I thought it would be fine. I was so ungodly wrong. I knew it said it might cause some itching, but dear Lord, I was not prepared for what I experienced. Literally, felt like my cooter was on fire, and it was so bad to the point I couldn’t even stand up. I actually cowered to the floor. It’s been about 30 minutes since the torturous feeling, and it’s finally bearable. In the end, I know it’s gonna work, so that’s awesome. But whatever you do, do not use it before going to hang out with friends. You will experience hell :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had many yeast infections before, and twice I've experienced one of the worst feelings ever. I literally put the medicine in, and five minutes later, I feel burning and itching. It is extremely unbearable. I'd rather deal with a YI for life than to deal with this. The only thing I can say is it does relieve the YI but makes you suffer for it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 for the first time, and let me tell you…. I NEVER get yeast infections, but my doctor told me that women use Monistat all the time, and it should be very effective. I used the first cream dose and experienced some mild itching right off the bat. Three hours later, I wake up (right now it’s 2:30 am, woohoo!) and I am experiencing the worst itching inside my coochie I’ve ever experienced. I literally want to itch it so bad but can’t. I want to shove a back scratcher up there and just itch the crap out of my walls! Do not use this if you would like to actually sleep through the night, the itching is now way worse, unbearable. R.I.P. my lady parts."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have dealt with YI my whole life, usually I get a pill from the doctor, but this week was short notice and I decided to run to Meijer and try MONISTAT out. Got home and put that lava egg in. After 40 minutes or so, the dragon from Shrek invited his friends for a bonfire inside my cooter. Burned and itched so badly I was running naked to the shower hoping the shower head would fix my problems, that backfired and only helped invite the fire ants to get invited so they could all start building castles in my cooter. I am debating to put Alaska’s glaciers inside of me to soothe my pain. My vagina is now turned into a volcano and lava eggs are literally exploding in me. DON'T BUY MONISTAT just itch until death do us part."
