For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ooohweeeeee, I have never in my life felt something that burns your flesh so bad. It burned so bad I stopped, dropped, and rolled my big self across the floor, and I had to turn my private part up to the fan. It felt like someone was holding a candle down there and the wax was falling onto me. As soon as I inserted it, a few minutes later my nose even began to sweat. My legs started shaking, my eyes got big, and I went extremely crazy. I jumped in the shower and tried to wash it out of me. It irritated my private area so bad I was purple, raw, and it felt like I had been sandpapered down there. That was the Monistat 7 days. Then a few months later, I got another yeast infection - I knew not to use the 7 days again so I got the 3 days and ooohweeeeee... it burnt so bad I had to get some ice cubes to apply to the area!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've looked online for lots of reviews for Monistat. I've used it in the past, and every time I have horrible burning and irritation right after applying. It was worse than the yeast infection itself. It took hours for me to just be able to sleep."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for about a month now, called my gyno, got a prescription for Diflucan and thought all was right. I was wrong. After the itching and irritation came back, I decided on a one-night treatment of Monistat suppository. When I woke up, let me tell you, I was in agony. My vagina has swelled to be about twice its normal size, and now my further nether regions were on fire too. I called my doctor right away, she got me in on her lunch break and told me to never, ever use Monistat because there is a chemical irritant in it, causing you to become more itchy and swollen. Not only did Monistat make it worse, I now had chemical burns on my anus, butt crack, and butt cheeks (where the cream leaked to while sleeping). I will NEVER use this product ever again, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a yeast infection to NOT self-diagnose and just call your doctor or go to urgent care."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lord, help me! I had some itching down there for a couple of days with irritation after being on antibiotics. Wish I had taken a probiotic with it. Took Monistat 1 instead of the 3-day that I have tried before. It's now the next morning, and I've been up all night! For a few hours after inserting it, it swelled up, and the burn was unbearable. It subsided slightly overnight, but it's still so, so bad - feels like lemon juice to an open wound down there all over! My poor pootang! I almost want to go to the doctor, I'm scared! I currently have a frozen burrito on it, lol. Only little relief I got is with an ice pack."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time using Monistat 3, and it works GREAT and FAST. The first night I used it, I was experiencing itching and overall irritation, and the next morning I had very, very minor irritation and no itching, as if the infection cleared overnight. I would definitely use this again! It works wonders."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm currently on day 3 of the 7-day, and I feel the worst pain coming from my vagina. I was recommended this product by a nurse, and I want to scream at them for even suggesting this was a good idea. Although my initial irritation from the yeast infection has minimized, the pain that this product causes is far worse. I'm praying that I feel some relief in the morning because I cried as if my vagina was being ripped apart by the dogs just now. I'm sitting here, and it's still burning to the point I have to keep my legs open for some type of relief. My eyes are still watering, and I'm contemplating taking a baby wipe and getting this stuff off me just so I can put some coconut oil down there instead. Seriously, none of these reviews are joking at the intense amount of pain this product produces. Why is it that we are forced to endure this?! I bet you a man created this product because I damn sure don't believe any woman did. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "⚠️ Warning! This burns! I might have to sue. I used this several times in the past, and it was fine, but this time I used Monistat 7, and the first few doses were fine. But by the fourth night, I had itching and burning that I didn’t have before. After stopping the suppositories, I had much irritation and burns every time I pee. I cry a lot! They must have changed their formula, and don’t use this product!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 3 and only put some of the cream on because my YI was just starting, and oh my goodness, DO NOT. I am so sorry for the ladies that actually inserted this inside of them. I've given birth, and it was less painful. This felt like my sensitive bits were ON FIRE. I've used similar products before and never had this reaction. I don't know why they included something like icy hot in the ingredients, but they need to not."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG! I wish I would have read these comments before I used this product. What is really going on with this product? I have used it before, maybe 3-4 times. NEVER!!! Have I experienced the burning/irritation like I did this time. Whew! A cool towel and coconut oil helped calm things down. Ladies, be safe and don’t use this. My life flashed before my eyes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 19, and I have no idea what is going on with my body. Just last week, I had strep, and now this. The antibiotics I was put on made my 'flower' burn and itch. I thought I could handle it if I gently wiped and washed, but it didn't go away. I bought Vagisil cream to help the irritation, it helped some but yet burned. I was then sure it was something more. I bought the Monistat 7 today, and I used the first application, and boy, do I regret it! At first, it felt fine, and like 5 seconds later, I had a horrible itchy sensation, and it began to burn. I felt myself cringe and my legs together, and it was unbearable! I jumped in the shower and washed it out and all off of my area. I'm now laying in bed with an ice pack on it. Good lord!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 as well as their vulvar cream. While I didn’t have the intense, fire burning with application, at the end of the treatment my vulva and vagina are still very irritated and I am very, very dry. I went to urgent care and tested negative for BV and yeast, so while the infection is gone, the medication left that area a mess. I have found things that have helped: I stopped using toilet paper after peeing and am just rinsing with water and patting dry with a towel, and that has made the biggest difference. I also rinse off after sweating because the sweat burns. Hydrocortisone ointment (not cream because it’s drying, and make sure the only ingredient it had is petrolatum—some have alcohol, which will burn) once or twice a day has helped. A thin layer of olive oil has helped the discomfort caused by any rubbing from walking, sitting, or clothing. I will never use this medication again. Next time, I’ll go straight to urgent care and ask for Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time trying Monistat, and honestly, I should’ve just stuck a piece of hot coal up my vagina. Never have I ever felt such burning like this in my life. It’s been like 30 minutes, and now it’s kind of numb, but the burning, irritation, and throbbing were insane. It gets better eventually, ladies. Stay strong! Praying for comfort for all of you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This literally hurt. I went to my doctor to make sure the YI was gone. There was nothing there, but I got my cat checked and she saw irritation and little marks. This product is awful, you shouldn’t ever use this product. It takes the yeast away, but it causes other problems. I’m still having an on and off burn/irritation, especially when I wipe."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Been using this cream for yeast infections for 30 years. It is always itchy and burny in the beginning, and it gets better after each dose. Uncomfy, yes, but I know if the increased burning and itching occurs after use, then I know it's definitely yeast. I think it's a sign the medication is working, as the times I thought I had an infection and used the cream, I had no increased irritation. I only get the 7-day as the other 2 and 3-day does not work for me."
