For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg. I have had maybe 3 YIs in my life. I have used apple cider vinegar, which typically works. OTC prescription, easy. This is my first time using Monistat 3, and I am losing it. I am on day 2 and I don't know why I went back after day 1. After the first dose, I thought I was having an allergic reaction with how itchy my vag was. Definitely way worse than the YI itself. Day 2 is a little easier. It's still very uncomfortable. I will not be using the 3rd dose. I will say, however, the morning after the 1st dose, my vagina did feel a lot better. But I don’t think 2 hours of a flaming, itchy vagina is worth it. I’d rather have the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "(This review goes into graphic detail, just a warning). Yes. It hurts. SO BAD. It itches like you can't even imagine; you feel like there's a volcano between your legs, etc. BUT IT ACTUALLY WORKS. This is my go-to for getting rid of yeast infections. I just finished the worst one I've ever had, and I got Monistat 1 because I was on my period and didn't want to keep reapplying. The first 3 days were itchy and miserable and gross, but by day 4 it didn't itch unless I was peeing/changing my pad (do not use tampons during a yeast infection), and within a week it was gone. I did think I was having an allergic reaction the first time I took Monistat, especially after reading the other reviews on here, but after trying to beat a later yeast infection by eating Greek yogurt, I can assure you that the Monistat really does work. TL;DR It hurts but it works!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Although I didn’t experience the burning sensation many others experienced, I did break out in hives after using this product. Not sure if it was just an allergic reaction, but please be aware of others’ experiences before purchasing this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I almost divorced my husband. I usually only get YI when pregnant, and my doctor prescribes a 7-day insert, and I'm good. However, I'm not pregnant right now, but my body decided to spice things up a bit... And OH DID THEY GET SPICY. When I first noticed the symptoms, I decided that I didn't have time to schedule an appointment for something I could buy over the counter. I ran to CVS and found a 1-day option that allowed me to bypass the 7-day treatment WITH an external cream included! Who would still buy a 7-day treatment? Why do they even still make those? Why hasn't my doctor ever told me about this? I grabbed the box and rushed home. It wasn't until a couple of days later when I realized that it wasn't in my head, and my JayJay was LITERALLY ON FIRE. I thought my husband was cheating on me. I ran to my doctor and demanded every test in the book. Everything came back negative. It's still burning off and on. It's been over 2 weeks. My skin is raw. Maybe I'm allergic. Hubby was almost a goner."

"Ladies, I had a similar experience with the burning. I looked it up online, and a doctor said it was an allergic reaction. He gave advice to mix 1/2 teaspoon of salt with 1 cup of water and irrigate it out. (I used a medicine syringe.) I got all the cream out, and thankfully, I am not burning anymore. I am going to the doctor tomorrow still to make sure everything is okay down there."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terrible. This is the worst OTC treatment I've ever tried to use for a yeast infection. Within seconds, my vagina was on fire, and I thought I was having some sort of allergic reaction to it. The FDA should be pulling this from the market. Ladies, there are plenty of other treatments available that do not cause pain to an already irritated (and sensitive) area. You've been warned!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, it's now 3:30 a.m., inserted one pre-filled app at 12 a.m. hoping to get some relief, and I'm downstairs on the couch so I no longer disturb my dear husband. Funny thing is I tried to apply the topical that comes with it a couple of days ago. I'm no stranger to YI, especially while pregnant, so when I put that stuff on and my cooch went up in flames, I assumed something else was the problem and immediately washed it all off. I have NEVER had a reaction to any of the OTC options like that before. But 2 days later I'm still itchy, so I thought maybe it was just the external cream and I should try an insert because it's clearly a YI... And here I am. Suffering with the fire razor cooch. I decided to leave it in this time for more than a minute, and good news for me is that it is subsiding. If it works, I think it is worth it, but next time I'll have the doctor call in the RX brand. I've never had an issue with that one. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Every person is completely different. Some are more sensitive than others. I had a horrible reaction to this medication and will never use it again! It literally feels like battery acid was put in my whoha. It isn’t supposed to be so painful that you cannot do or think of anything else. Take this stuff off the shelf!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not buy!!! Monistat 3 pre-filled app. is the worst. I ended up in urgent care the next morning from the intense burning, swelling, and a horrible reaction to this. I will never use this product again. I am not sure what they changed in this, but if you have ever had a yeast infection, go to the doctor. Monistat is not worth it any longer...."
