For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for about a month now, called my gyno, got a prescription for Diflucan and thought all was right. I was wrong. After the itching and irritation came back, I decided on a one-night treatment of Monistat suppository. When I woke up, let me tell you, I was in agony. My vagina has swelled to be about twice its normal size, and now my further nether regions were on fire too. I called my doctor right away, she got me in on her lunch break and told me to never, ever use Monistat because there is a chemical irritant in it, causing you to become more itchy and swollen. Not only did Monistat make it worse, I now had chemical burns on my anus, butt crack, and butt cheeks (where the cream leaked to while sleeping). I will NEVER use this product ever again, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a yeast infection to NOT self-diagnose and just call your doctor or go to urgent care."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the egg and cream before bed. Woke up a couple of hours later with burning and excruciating pain. Shower didn't help much. I literally have a chemical burn. Why is this still on the market? I will push to get this removed from the shelves. 12 hours later and not much relief. So sore I hurt to move. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to document. Considering an attorney."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I ended up in the ER with a pinky nail-sized ulcer and have chemical burns all around my vagina. The doctor said it was most likely a bad reaction to the cream Monistat provides. Miserable. I can barely walk. I will never use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used the 3-day treatment a few times in the past and had burning and itching, but it was tolerable and wasn’t bad. But this time around was quite worse. My vagina currently has 4 chemical burns: 1 on the labia, 2 on the side of the labia, and 1 right above the opening. I am in severe pain and cannot pee without screaming and damn near crying. I literally try to avoid peeing as much as possible right now until I can get to my doctor on Tuesday. This cream should be taken off the shelf with how many complaints it has. There’s also no telling what it’s doing to our insides either! DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, worst product ever!!! So, 2 days ago, I had some itching and discharge. I knew it was yeast, as I had been taking antibiotics for having a sinus infection. So, I thought I would be proactive and get the 3-day Monistat to clear it up. Honey, it made it worse!!! I felt like gas was poured down there, and somebody struck a damn match!!! SMH, I just left to go to the ER because I could not take the pain anymore!!! It caused me chemical burns, swelling, and made the itching worse. Will never use again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a pretty severe yeast infection. Tried Monistat 7, and it burned a little the first day. Went to Urgent Care and got the Rx pill (praying that works). Tried Monistat again the next day and gaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! Chemical burns!! For real!!! Will my vagina heal? Will I ever be safe????? Thought maybe my yeast infection was getting worse? But now I come here and find that I am not alone. I am still in so much pain. I’m happy I didn’t use it again and never will. I have ulcers and stabbing burning pain in all my once favorite places. The yeast infection was bad, but this is a nightmare. Seriously worried I will have to live with permanent damage from the chemical burns."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am in tremendous pain! Do not use this product. The cream causes uncomfortable pain, then the night treatment application causes the insides of your vagina to experience a chemical burn that can't be relieved by anything but time and an ice pack."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had my first YI ever and was told by someone to use Monistat 3. Seemed to help a lot the first 2 days, but the 3rd day I was in misery. One of the worst pains I’ve ever experienced, and I’m not one to exaggerate. It is like a chemical burn on my poor lady bits. I washed it off 10 hours ago, and it still hurts really bad. Go see a doctor, ladies!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product for my yeast infection because I did not want to go to the doctor and be put on medications that would mess me up even worse. I have not had a yeast infection in a year. I used this product, and it worked for the first 2-3 hours, then BOOM, the burning began, and mainly it burned because the cream began to slide out of my vagina. I tried to shower it off me, but it didn’t help much. Woke up the next morning to a CHEMICAL BURNED vagina!! This is not RIGHT. If anyone is experiencing a rash or chemical burn on their outer vagina, then you know what caused it: THIS PRODUCT. My vagina is ruined. This product needs to be taken off the market. I gave it a 2 out of 10 because it did stop the itching, but it did not stop the burning from the chemical burn I have on the outer area of my vagina entrance and vagina lips."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible burning every time I use the external cream. My infection was barely itchy or uncomfortable, but I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got worse. This is the worst 'cause it burns and swells so bad from the medicine. I think I have chemical burns. My sister says the same thing about yeast infection creams. The infection is gone, though!!! Good God."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Many years ago, I got a YI from using antibiotics. Used Monistat 7, and it cleared it up just fine. Same scenario about 3 weeks ago. Used Monistat 7 and applied some cream to labia minora as there was itching. The YI is gone, but I'm still suffering from the chemical burns it left behind. They started as small blisters, and the blisters are now covering half my hooha and are painful. STI panel negative, FWIW. I will never use this product again."
