For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m a Nurse Practitioner, please FDA look into this medication, something is seriously WRONG with this product all of a sudden!! It’s 4:00 AM in the morning and I have not had any sleep because my entire reproductive system feels like someone has put a torch to it. I will not be recommending this to my patients. I’m going to be a mess at work today with no sleep. Praying while I have ice packs on my vagina OUCHHHHHHH!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Truly would not wish this type of pain on my worst enemy. It’s currently 4 am, and my “cookie” is on fire. I’ve been up for hours, and I can’t go back to sleep because the discomfort is so bad. I used the 3-day Monistat with hopes of it actually healing me, but I most definitely screwed up. I don’t think my yeast infection is gone, and my cookie is probably ruined forever. Not sure how this product is on shelves and also unsure how Google sites actually recommended this flame-throwing product to women. I haven’t had a yeast infection before, so I thought this type of pain was somewhat normal. Turns out Monistat is just utter garbage and wants our cookies to burn to char. If you’re thinking about using Monistat, you may as well just take some poison ivy and a match to your cookie. You’ll feel about the same."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG! So before I used this Monistat cream, I inserted plain, natural, low-fat yogurt into my vagina once a day. I didn’t like the mess it made and how often it would leak out of my vagina. I decided to purchase the Monistat cream this morning at around 9. I took a shower, and then I inserted the Monistat cream. I’m thinking to myself, “Ok, maybe I won’t burn this time.” Literally, 10 seconds later, the most intense burning sensation eeevvverrrrrrr. The itching is so intense as well. I tried to lay down to take a nap, it’s just so uncomfortable. I literally sit with my legs crossed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I would have read these comments before trying Monistat. I used the 3-day, and I am extremely uncomfortable right now. Cookie is on fire. I should have just used the external cream until I could go to urgent care or my OB-GYN. That internal cream is awful; I will never purchase again now that I know 1 pill would have had me cured."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg. I have had maybe 3 YIs in my life. I have used apple cider vinegar, which typically works. OTC prescription, easy. This is my first time using Monistat 3, and I am losing it. I am on day 2 and I don't know why I went back after day 1. After the first dose, I thought I was having an allergic reaction with how itchy my vag was. Definitely way worse than the YI itself. Day 2 is a little easier. It's still very uncomfortable. I will not be using the 3rd dose. I will say, however, the morning after the 1st dose, my vagina did feel a lot better. But I don’t think 2 hours of a flaming, itchy vagina is worth it. I’d rather have the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1. It burned and caused more discomfort than before I used it. Had to see my doctor for an oral prescription to cure the yeast infection. She told me to never use Monistat 1. It has a chemical in it that is supposed to make it stay in the vagina that causes extreme pain. She also said she doesn’t even know why they make it. Do not recommend!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had recurring yeast infections for almost 20 years now. They must have changed the formula or something, because it never made me burn anywhere near this bad before. Recently, it's like inserting a chunk of lava! Especially Monistat 3 and 1. My doctor advised me to only buy Monistat 7, but I think my period will be here in 3 days, so I opted for the 3. BIG MISTAKE! My poor vagina is rocked! Pray for my coochie, people!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat for all of my adult life. Never, and I mean, NEVER has it done this to me before. My hoohaw is so swollen it feels like I've had sexual encounters with a horse...(not something I'm into, by the way). I've been on antibiotics for another illness, and of course that messes with the lady bits. So, because I've used this many times before, I bought it with confidence. I'm used to discomfort, I'm used to slight burning. This is like rubbing menthol on an open wound. A million tiny cuts and swelling. So now I wince in pain every time I move. My fiancé is certain my other illness is not getting better and doesn't quite understand that it actually is, but now I have an inferno between my legs and I don't mean the sexy, alluring kind. Word of advice...get an RX for antibiotics? Go ahead and ask for Diflucan. Whatever you do, don't put this stuff in your cart, let alone anywhere on your body."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a mild YI, and I had seen Monistat 3 prefill was highly liked on other reviews. I will never use it again, though. I’m on night three, and I cannot get comfortable. I am on fire, and I have tried to wash out/off as much as I can, but it won’t stop burning. This discomfort is worse than the YI. Go to the doctor and get medicine, don’t use Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had one YI in my life, and last night I picked up the 1-day treatment. I have been up for 2 hours, squirming with pain. I really hope this is working because I feel a bit better now, but I am still dealing with an insane amount of discomfort. It’s 5:30, so I hope I can make it throughout my day WITHOUT any more burning hot lava effects. Unless you want to burn in hell for a couple of hours, I recommend buying this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 as well as their vulvar cream. While I didn’t have the intense, fire burning with application, at the end of the treatment my vulva and vagina are still very irritated and I am very, very dry. I went to urgent care and tested negative for BV and yeast, so while the infection is gone, the medication left that area a mess. I have found things that have helped: I stopped using toilet paper after peeing and am just rinsing with water and patting dry with a towel, and that has made the biggest difference. I also rinse off after sweating because the sweat burns. Hydrocortisone ointment (not cream because it’s drying, and make sure the only ingredient it had is petrolatum—some have alcohol, which will burn) once or twice a day has helped. A thin layer of olive oil has helped the discomfort caused by any rubbing from walking, sitting, or clothing. I will never use this medication again. Next time, I’ll go straight to urgent care and ask for Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat 3 maybe 4 times prior to this with only positive experiences. I don't know if they have changed their formula or what, but my vag is on fire. Currently sitting in bed with an ice pack because it feels like fire ants have made it their new home. :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had BV and had to take antibiotics for it. It went away, but then I got a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I had used Monistat 3 before about a year ago with no problems, so I thought, why not use it again? They definitely changed the formula because, oh my god. I'm on the first night. The initial insertion wasn't too bad. I had mild burning, like the instructions said could happen. I got up to pee about 30 minutes after inserting, and it burned so badly after I peed. I could not sit still and was so uncomfortable. It went away after about 20 minutes of torture, but that cannot be normal. I am going to continue the treatment. I hope all of this discomfort is worth it. If you haven't started the treatment, DON'T. Go get an RX from your doc."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first time I had a YI, I used a Walmart brand 3-day. I had no pain, no issues. This time I tried Monistat 1-day… never again. I told my boyfriend it felt like there were drops of sun in this. It has to have something to do with lava, fire, and fire ants, I think. I put it in around midnight and woke up at 5 a.m. in INCREDIBLE amounts of pain, itching, and discomfort. It’s almost 7, and the pain is finally slowing. It now only feels like subtle icy hot has been used on my hooha."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just finished my 7-day treatment. Here is the breakdown. The “burning” is the medicine working and breaking down the infection, and for me, it is mild and does not last long, let alone all night. Day 1 was the worst, after insertion, my area burned and itched for a good 2 hours. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable and did go away. Day 2 after insertion was better, still discomfort for about 2 hours but not as bad. By Day 4 after insertion, it was only about an hour of very mild discomfort. Bottom line, this medicine works. It is not pleasant, and for me, it certainly is not as bad as described in other reviews. This medicine does the job, and I would use it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff is going to be my supervillain origin story. I would rather lie awake at night, physically cringing through high-def replays of my most humiliating moments than to take this “medicine” one more time. I got played like a chump for paying someone to allow me the chance to inject myself with this lava. I have NEVER experienced more pain and discomfort in my life, and I used to wear jelly sandals. It’s giving hornet stings. It’s giving road rash. It’s giving Jim Carrey eating dynamite in The Mask and playfully calling it a “spicy meatball.”"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the love of everything holy, how do I give this ZERO stars?! I am not new to YIs or the treatment of them. This is the first time in my almost 50 years of life that I have ever experienced such burning and discomfort from the treatment of a YI! I’ve read below that some think the product ingredients may have changed - they have had to have been changed! This is an experience that I have never gone through. I won’t be purchasing this ever again! E.V.E.R! Monistat, you should be ashamed of yourself!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’ve had many yeast infections in the past. Most times I would use store brand yeast infection products, and I’ve used Monistat before with a little discomfort. So I inserted the one-day ovule in last one after my shower because the weekend was coming up, and I didn’t want to have to be putting in the three or six-day creams, way too messy but offered relief. Instant relief last night woke up this morning, and it was like my Vajayjay was in the furnace where only God could stop the heat! But because my gynecologist stays three hours away, I went for this Monistat, and baby, it has to be laced with ammonia and battery acid because it set me on fire!!"

I am relieved to find out that I am not the only one experiencing this pure torture of this 3-day regimen. I am only day 2/3. I am looking forward to this treatment being done and over with."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first experience with a YI. I don’t know much about them, so I just bought the first thing I saw (aka Monistat 1), and OMG, I thought the discomfort of the YI itself was bad, well, just wait!! I have never experienced more pain and itching in my life. I inserted the egg around 10 pm, and it is now 1:30 am. The pain has dialed down, but I am still feeling discomfort. I recommend tightly shoving a blanket or pillow between your legs and hope for the best because, oh my. I’ve seen a lot of reviews having issues with the external cream as well, however, that actually worked quite well for me. All I can say is, this better work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I regularly get yeast infections. I’ve tried so many remedies, and I’ve found that some do work. This day, I was in need of something quick. I went and bought Monistat 1, and my life flashed before my eyes. My vag felt like it had burned off, and there were ashes all over the place! The absolute worst pain I’ve ever felt. I’ve been through a thing or two, but baby, let me tell you this stuff burns. Please try another alternative before this. It’s been 12 hours later, and I’m still feeling discomfort."
