For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I regularly have yeast infections before my period. My period had just ended, and I got a really bad yeast infection, so I ran to Walmart at like 10:30 pm and picked up the 3-day pack. It just had a tube that you inserted for three days, it didn’t come with any cream to help or anything, it just had the tube. The first night, I had to drug myself with pain medication because the pain was SO INTENSE. The second day wasn’t so bad, I took medication before I used the stuff. The third day. The literal third day. I swear my hooha entered the goblet of damn fire. I was on the phone with my husband, and I was CRYING IN PAIN. I ran to the shower to try and clean myself and get everything out. It was so red and swollen, it's insane. It’s the next morning, and I am STILL IN PAIN. Please don’t buy this, it’s not Dobby approved."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is insane! The excruciating burning and swelling I am going through is 10 times worse than the itching and burning from the infection. There is no way in high heaven that a female doctor had anything to do with this menace to vaginas everywhere. I am lying in bed after trying to wash off as much of this as I could, and now with an ice pack directly in between my legs! This should not even be on the market anymore because I've been reading these awful reviews from last year. What the heck? Monistat, take us seriously! Do not use this product if you value your sanity and are not into self-torture."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections frequently, and I have always just used generic brands. I never had a bad experience. Yesterday, I bought Monistat for the first time ever, and I will never use it again because it put me in so much pain. Usually, I just insert the generic brand and go right to sleep, but not even a minute after I started feeling a burning/scratching sensation, and it kept getting worse. I wasn’t even scratching myself, and my lady bits started to swell. I tried to get as much as I could out of me, and then the only reason I was able to fall asleep was that I laid a cold compress on myself. I even woke up this morning, and right away, I felt fine until I went to the bathroom, and the burning sensation started again, and I began to swell. I will never use this product again, and I don’t think any women should. Any girl reading this, you need to just get a generic brand because you will get rid of your yeast infection pain-free."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am an RN. Like many women, we've all had a yeast infection a time or two. I would treat mine with OTC Monistat. Sometimes I would do the 1-dose treatment or the 3-dose treatment. I've NEVER had a problem with Monistat. I would treat myself and feel relief. Well, just this week, I noticed myself getting a yeast infection and went to purchase OTC Monistat. When I tell you that I felt like my lady parts were engulfed in flames and swollen, it was the worst pain EVER. Nothing I did gave me relief from this medication. I had to wait till it cleared itself from me. I would prefer to just have my mildly irritated vagina back than to EVER use this cream again. And according to the multiple reports on this site about this product, Monistat needs to reevaluate its formula."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the price of $11.50, you too can burn your insides off. Seriously, it’s like they took the wrath of a hundred angry hornets and put it in a cream. I have NEVER felt pain like that. And I have endometriosis, so I know vag and uterus pain. Just use Vagisil. On a side note, I did not know it was possible for my labia to swell like that. Truly an impressive feat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use this! I think they changed their formula this year or something. It felt like fire ants, gasoline, and acid were thrown in my vagina. It’s raw and swollen and just awful. It’s hard enough dealing with a freaking yeast infection, then here comes this terrible medicine to make your life worse. Shame on you, Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for about a month now, called my gyno, got a prescription for Diflucan and thought all was right. I was wrong. After the itching and irritation came back, I decided on a one-night treatment of Monistat suppository. When I woke up, let me tell you, I was in agony. My vagina has swelled to be about twice its normal size, and now my further nether regions were on fire too. I called my doctor right away, she got me in on her lunch break and told me to never, ever use Monistat because there is a chemical irritant in it, causing you to become more itchy and swollen. Not only did Monistat make it worse, I now had chemical burns on my anus, butt crack, and butt cheeks (where the cream leaked to while sleeping). I will NEVER use this product ever again, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a yeast infection to NOT self-diagnose and just call your doctor or go to urgent care."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I figured I’d try to self-treat my YI to save some coin...but looking back, I’d pay anything to never feel that burn again. I picked up the three-day treatment. I put the cream up the ja-ja and applied the external cream as directed. I felt instant relief. It was amazing, I was finally able to get a good night’s sleep...FALSE. I woke up at a lovely 3 o’clock a.m., experiencing pure fire. I quietly walked to the bathroom. I tried to investigate what went horribly wrong. Redness. Swelling. Cream everywhere. The sensation can only be described as sitting on a cactus filled with battery acid. I panicked trying to get the cream out, but it was too late. The damage had been done. I took the rest of the day to recover, figuring I’d purchase the 7-day treatment because of the lower dosage. That was my plan. I’m brilliant, right? FALSE. As predicted, this was another horrible idea. The OBGYN was called."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lord, help me! I had some itching down there for a couple of days with irritation after being on antibiotics. Wish I had taken a probiotic with it. Took Monistat 1 instead of the 3-day that I have tried before. It's now the next morning, and I've been up all night! For a few hours after inserting it, it swelled up, and the burn was unbearable. It subsided slightly overnight, but it's still so, so bad - feels like lemon juice to an open wound down there all over! My poor pootang! I almost want to go to the doctor, I'm scared! I currently have a frozen burrito on it, lol. Only little relief I got is with an ice pack."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve only had a yeast infection one other time in my life, maybe 10 years ago. I used the Monistat egg back then, and it worked like a charm. Fast forward to this week when I got one. I bought the 3-day cream because it was all that was available. About 20 minutes after insertion, I was so uncomfortable I could feel my blood pressure rising. This stuff is no joke! The intense itching from the inside and the burning pain I felt was awful. I ended up taking Tylenol and a Benadryl, thinking maybe it was an allergic reaction! I woke up today swollen and in more pain than I was before the medication. I really hope the company decides to take action over these reviews."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not buy!!! Monistat 3 pre-filled app. is the worst. I ended up in urgent care the next morning from the intense burning, swelling, and a horrible reaction to this. I will never use this product again. I am not sure what they changed in this, but if you have ever had a yeast infection, go to the doctor. Monistat is not worth it any longer...."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, right off the bat, this is kind of an unusual review as I witnessed my girlfriend use this product and immediately turn into this raging monster. To top it all off, as any guy would do, I made the mistake of asking her if it is really that bad. Boy, should I have not said that! I have never in my life seen her more pissed off, angry, and amused all at the same time. To make up for all these comments, I got on my laptop ASAP and luckily found this website with so many hilarious reviews. I read these out loud to her, and it seemed to calm her down. Now, to reiterate what she described this experience as: 'It burns like icy hot in my little pinky. It feels like someone sprinkled pepper and is rubbing it in every corner, everywhere, and while this is happening, a swarm of bees also stung me down there. It feels like my vagina has never been this swollen before. I wanna cut it off.'"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, worst product ever!!! So, 2 days ago, I had some itching and discharge. I knew it was yeast, as I had been taking antibiotics for having a sinus infection. So, I thought I would be proactive and get the 3-day Monistat to clear it up. Honey, it made it worse!!! I felt like gas was poured down there, and somebody struck a damn match!!! SMH, I just left to go to the ER because I could not take the pain anymore!!! It caused me chemical burns, swelling, and made the itching worse. Will never use again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I want my money back! I've used Monistat 7 in years past, and I've never experienced this level of itching and burning. I'm literally swollen. What's in this stuff? Maybe it's because I used the 3-day formula this time? 200 mg of Miconazole Nitrate a bit much? My yeast infection was minor. Started after a few days of antibiotic use, and like everyone else, the intense itching and burning was almost immediate. I figured I can handle it, so I toughed it out, and the discomfort subsided for the most part. The next morning, I showered, and for some odd reason, the intense itching and burning is back. I was under the impression that the situation would get better instead of worse as time went on. I would've been better off just riding out the infection pre-Monistat instead of subjecting myself to this horror. Why isn't there a disclaimer on the box? The makers of this stuff are the worst. User beware!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I thought my itching was bad before? Nothing could have prepared me for the itching that would come from using Monistat 7. It's been excruciating. I paid $20 to be tortured. I would not recommend this medicine to my worst enemy. My vagina is so swollen and itchy, and this stuff is awful. Don't spend the money."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I got my first yeast infection, yay! So my boyfriend took me to the store for meds. I used day 1. I didn't have much itching or burning the first day I used it, but the next morning I woke up to a nasty mess and my outer and inner vagina burning and itching. The swelling and redness are horrible. I've tried cold packs, cold showers, warm showers, tea tree oil, and everything. And the cream doesn't seem to help. I'm scared of doctors, but I'm thinking about seeing one for this. I was also taking amoxicillin before this, so that could've been the issue."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible burning every time I use the external cream. My infection was barely itchy or uncomfortable, but I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got worse. This is the worst 'cause it burns and swells so bad from the medicine. I think I have chemical burns. My sister says the same thing about yeast infection creams. The infection is gone, though!!! Good God."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat for all of my adult life. Never, and I mean, NEVER has it done this to me before. My hoohaw is so swollen it feels like I've had sexual encounters with a horse...(not something I'm into, by the way). I've been on antibiotics for another illness, and of course that messes with the lady bits. So, because I've used this many times before, I bought it with confidence. I'm used to discomfort, I'm used to slight burning. This is like rubbing menthol on an open wound. A million tiny cuts and swelling. So now I wince in pain every time I move. My fiancé is certain my other illness is not getting better and doesn't quite understand that it actually is, but now I have an inferno between my legs and I don't mean the sexy, alluring kind. Word of advice...get an RX for antibiotics? Go ahead and ask for Diflucan. Whatever you do, don't put this stuff in your cart, let alone anywhere on your body."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff burns like lava. I thought it was just me until Google brought me here. My vag is inflamed as we speak. We should put a class action lawsuit against this company. This is torture, I did not sign up for this. I am going to pursue a lawsuit against Monistat. Together we can do something about this horrible product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been battling a yeast infection for over a month. The first dose was a 1-day cream which burned horribly and made my vagina swell and itch! After about 2 weeks, I used another one, but it was 'the lava egg' and it didn't burn as much. 2 weeks later, I realize neither of them worked, so I decide to see a doctor. The doctor confirms it's a YI and prescribed me the pill. Almost 2 weeks later, it also hasn't worked, just improved my symptoms a little bit. I'm just so desperate to get rid of this that I just must have forgotten how painful Monistat is and that it didn't work before because I just bought another box to see if maybe it'll wipe out the remaining infection. I got lucky. I only applied the external cream, which itches so bad I wanna drag my cooter across the rug like an animal, but haven't inserted the pill. These reviews have me wondering if there might be something wrong with the medication. I'm going to ask my doctor about this because this is ridiculous."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So sitting here at 4 in the morning because I did not insert the lava egg until about 2 1/2 hours ago. I am slowly starting to feel better. About 3 months ago, I used the 7-day cream and literally just wanted to end life itself because I didn’t think I could carry on any longer. This time, I used the one-day, and about an hour after going to sleep, I woke up knowing the end was near once again. The CRAZY itching and swelling! Reading these, though, makes me feel not alone and like other people, maybe, made it out with their downstairs area intact. Please save yourselves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have relied on Monistat products for decades with no problems. However, I recently had a YI after taking antibiotics for a sinus infection (the 7-day product), and I could not get through more than 3 days of it. My vulva swelled up, everything felt like it was on fire, urinating was excruciating even. Even sitting was painful. I ended up having to go to my GYN, who did a culture and said a slight yeast infection remained, which was understandable since I didn’t finish all 7 days. But she also found that I was swollen and inflamed still from the Monistat, and now I have to apply a topical steroid cream to the area twice a day to get that cured. I’m 4 days in, and no relief yet. I don’t know if Monistat changed their formulation or my body has just decided that I can no longer tolerate Monistat, but I will never use this product again. I will go to my doctor and get Diflucan instead."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat in the past, and it burned my skin. I remember inserting it while lying down and jumping up in the middle of the night, burning so badly I jumped in the shower and washed the cream off. My vagina was red/purple, swollen, irritated from the burning sensation. Nothing can describe that feeling. It's deadly, horrible. Monistat should be taken off the shelves. It was like my vagina was in a house fire, it burned so bad you can't even move. It's like you're in a coma. Day 1, 3, 7, the overnight one. It's all bad, please don't spend your money."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Y’all know that feeling of the runs exploding after eating Chipotle? Imagine this, but in your cooter. Lava, itchiness that compares to the pits of lava, and your lips swell like you had vaginal fillers. Their formula must have changed, but at this point, I’m down to file a suit if any other cooter sisters are with me?"
