For Vaginal Yeast Infection "No. Never again. Do not self-prescribe and take Monistat-1 as an easy way out. It feels like fire ants and acid were poured straight into my coochi hole. From my reading, it seems everyone has varying reactions. As I sit here with a cold washcloth on my cooter, and after 30 minutes screaming and sobbing in pain, I would recommend you take your itchy vag to the OB/GYN. Would not even recommend even to Lucifer."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don’t normally deviate from what I know works, and this time I wish I would have stuck to my gut. I went to the store, and every other brand of YI applications was sold out! All except six full rows of Monistat! That should have told me something there, but I was desperate. Next time I won’t be. I literally thought I did something horribly wrong! The burning nearly took me out! I was at the point of yelling for my husband to take me to the emergency room before the burning/itching finally started to subside. Moral of the story: do NOT get this if you have a low pain tolerance. You’ve been warned, lol."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I also think the formula has changed. Used before, but this time woke up in the middle of the night in horrible pain from burning and itching. I had a mild yeast infection. I have a high pain tolerance, but this has been a nightmare. Won’t use again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, worst product ever!!! So, 2 days ago, I had some itching and discharge. I knew it was yeast, as I had been taking antibiotics for having a sinus infection. So, I thought I would be proactive and get the 3-day Monistat to clear it up. Honey, it made it worse!!! I felt like gas was poured down there, and somebody struck a damn match!!! SMH, I just left to go to the ER because I could not take the pain anymore!!! It caused me chemical burns, swelling, and made the itching worse. Will never use again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used this before, and it was always great. I've not had a YI in 10 years until now. I got the 3-day. 1st day, definitely made the itch a billion times worse and burned so bad. I thought it was just the medicine working. It sucked, but I mean the YI should get better quickly, so that issue should also go away. WRONG! Day 2, equally bad. Day 3. Oh, sweet Jesus! The burning and itching was like the gates of lava were opened straight through my vagina! I literally asked my husband if I could just rip out my vaginal canal and be done with it! After 3 hours of the sensation of fire ants crawling in and out of me, I couldn't take it anymore. I went in the bathroom and prepared myself for birth, squeezing as much out as I could. I used external cream to help, and HOLY MOLY, IT MADE IT WORSE! 4 hours in this, and finally took a strong pain pill to hopefully knock me out! I may soak in another bath. I hope I don't get another YI, as I'm going to have PTSD after this nightmare."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Death before this. This was the worst experience ever. It feels like someone was dancing on a field of fire ants, wielding blowtorches blowing balls of fire in my vagina. I only survived by reading pages and pages of reviews for hours as the burning pain and itch subside. One reviewer says it's worse than when she had chlamydia and gonorrhea at the same time. Another says it was ten times itchier than her YI and vaginal eczema combined. Another said at least in childbirth, you get a break between contractions. The amount of people on ice packs, going to the ER, and calling the FDA is alarming. This amount of pain and itch is abnormal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’d swear I put Mercurochrome in my vag! Omgosh, what is this awful cream? I got the 7-day pack and just used the first tube! Absolutely should be many complaints filed on this if they haven’t been yet. I can’t imagine the suffering for those that use this regularly due to no insurance! This stuff is NOT RIGHT. I’d have been better off with the beginning slight itch of the YI I had. Now I’m crying because of this experience, torture chamber cream inside me!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I'm using Monistat 3. Guys, I have sensory processing disorder. Let me tell you, the itching I'm experiencing has me literally rolling on my bed, it's so bad. I never cry, and I cried, it's so bad. It works, but it's so horrible. The things us women go through."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I want my money back! I've used Monistat 7 in years past, and I've never experienced this level of itching and burning. I'm literally swollen. What's in this stuff? Maybe it's because I used the 3-day formula this time? 200 mg of Miconazole Nitrate a bit much? My yeast infection was minor. Started after a few days of antibiotic use, and like everyone else, the intense itching and burning was almost immediate. I figured I can handle it, so I toughed it out, and the discomfort subsided for the most part. The next morning, I showered, and for some odd reason, the intense itching and burning is back. I was under the impression that the situation would get better instead of worse as time went on. I would've been better off just riding out the infection pre-Monistat instead of subjecting myself to this horror. Why isn't there a disclaimer on the box? The makers of this stuff are the worst. User beware!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I had my first YI, and I went to get Monistat. I'm doing the 7-day treatment. The first night I inserted the cream while laying down, stood to turn my light off, and seconds later I got the most intense itching feeling I've ever had in my life, I wanted to crawl out of my skin. My pain tolerance is very high, but this was hell. The next morning I showered, and there was a huge relief. Long story made short, hell yeah it burns/itches, but at the end of those 7 days, you're squeaky clean!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 15. The first time I got one was during the winter of 2014. I used Monistat 7, and after a really, really long week, it got better from what I remember. It burns and itches so bad once the cream is inserted, which makes it impossible to sleep. :( I didn't get it to make me itch and burn more! This month in May, I got another from taking antibiotics, fighting another infection. I had an extra box left over and the redness and itch relief cream to add to the redness and itchiness throughout the day. It's horrible at first, but give it time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am shocked to see these reviews. When I put half an applicator, it burned like the pits of hell, and the itch was 1000% more intense. I instantly regretted it. It really scared me. I thought something was seriously wrong with me. I had to run a shower head up my vag for relief. Why does it hurt so much? Literally, the worst pain of my entire life, and I have given birth to 4 kids."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The box said mild itching/burning sensation. This pain is beyond mild. I inserted the Monistat 1 before bed thinking I was going to sleep while it did its thing, well, I was completely wrong! The itching and burning were so uncomfortable that I had to go push it out. And even then it didn’t stop. My vagina would’ve been better off with the YI vs. whatever this is I’m going through. I wish I found these reviews before using it. My vagina is melting off, and icing the area does not help. This product is horrible! Do not use! This deserves a zero and needs to be removed from shelves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After putting on the cream, everything started burning. I was confused, I thought that it was my YI getting worse, but as the night went on, I landed on the conclusion that it was actually the Monistat. I powered through it and decided I was going to leave it on, thinking the pain would subside. I woke up at 5 a.m., and I was still in pain from the itching and burning. I decided to wash my cooch to take off all the medication so it would stop burning me, and to my surprise, it didn’t stop when I washed it off. I immediately started to Google "burning sensation with Monistat" and found this site with all the hilarious stories. I drew a warm bath, got in the tub, and laughed at all the things I was reading, meanwhile, my cooch was submerged in the warm water. After, I got some ice, put it inside a Ziploc, and rested it on top of my meow meow. That really seemed to do the trick for me. So yeah, it burns like fire, but it did at least take away the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE!!! My doctor told me to use this because I had itching, and she thought it was a yeast infection. I immediately had SEVERE burning and itching in my vagina and around it. It was so excruciating I had to claw out the cream in the shower. I’m now sitting in bed with an ice pack. I talked to a gynecologist on the phone, and they said some people have a bad reaction to the medication. Looking at these reviews... I think a lot of people have bad reactions. I would definitely not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used day 1 with the ovule without any bad side effects and began feeling okay. I used the first dose of Monistat 3 as backup, and although it was messy, I felt fine. Today I used the second dose and my vagina is itching even worse after use. The itching has dramatically increased after using this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG!! Itchy, itchy. Way worse than the YI itself. I put in the 1-day cream maybe 30 mins ago and zero relief, still so itchy!! I am getting Diflucan from my OB from now on. This YI was super mild, so I decided to get Monistat. Big mistake, I hope I can sleep. Ugh! No bueno, amigas!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Being a woman is hard, man. But I would not have gotten through the intense burning and itching if it weren't for everyone's comments. Y'all are really helping me get through this. I'm on day 1 of the 7-day process, and yes, it's really intense and painful, but it goes away in about 30-45 minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first time treating a yeast infection. I got the 3-day cure... Let me tell you... This burned so bad I had to take a bath to rinse it all out. I was on the tail end of my YI, it was clearing up by itself. And this burning and itching hurt 10x more than the infection itself. I almost started crying."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat 3 years ago, and it gave me quick relief. I just got a yeast infection, and my fiancé bought me the 7-day dosage. I was so excited to use it before bed, and as soon as the applicator came out of me, I felt intense burning and itching. I can’t help but cry and pace all over my house. I stuck a tampon inside to suck most of it up, finally, I had to just get into the shower and wash it out of me. It feels like a bunch of red ants biting me inside. This is the worst thing ever. I’d rather feel my yeast infection than this. I want my money back!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first yeast infection, and I decided to try Monistat 7. Today is my first night trying it, and as soon as I inserted the cream inside my lady parts, I started to experience this horrible itching and burning. My yeast infection didn’t even feel as bad as it did after I inserted the cream. What?? I’m now lying here, the pain is slightly better, but barely, and I’m trying to fall asleep. It is 2:12 in the morning. I am so annoyed. Still trying to decide if I want to continue the 7-day treatment or throw that stuff in the garbage."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First time using Monistat eggs and external cream. Got to this page as I was trying to see if it was only me who suffered like crazy when the internal cream came out. Couldn’t sleep at night for 3 hours as it was burning and itching like I had never experienced before. Can’t believe this product is approved... please avoid and see doctor or pharmacist for other alternatives."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "IDK why, but my experience is different than everyone else's here. I have a low immune system, so I basically get a yeast infection almost every time I have sex. Due to the quarantine, I went to the pharmacy and picked up Monistat. It immediately gave me relief, and it said it cures most yeast infections in 7 days, but I'm on day 5 and for some reason there's an itching sensation around the entrance of my vagina. ONLY THERE. All of the other internal itching has stopped, so IDK if I was supposed to do the 3-day Monistat or not, but it doesn't seem like the itching will subside in 2 days. It's not really that bad or like a burning sensation. It just itches, so I guess I'll have to make an appointment to see my doc. Honestly thought I really found a way to get rid of my yeast infections for once."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've been using Monistat for a while now. The pro about it is, it's most definitely effective at removing a yeast infection. Whether you use the 1, 3, or 7-day treatment, it's good at what it does. I'll give it that. One BIG con, and I mean big, is the side effect. Most of the women on here know what side effect I mean—and that is the persistent, and painful burning sensation that keeps you awake at night. There's barely any relief for it unless you wait patiently or have a high pain tolerance. Next, is the itchiness. Some say that it depends on how severe the infection is— which I feel is only partially true. I had a pretty mild yeast infection, and the medicine still produced the same annoying itching, and burning that lasted for what seemed like hours. So truthfully, I believe it depends on the person. Like I said, it's great for treating the infection, but horrible for instant side effect relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I haven't experienced the burning I see many people describing. I used the 3-day cream Monistat, and I DID notice it made my itching worse. I wondered whether or not it was curing my infection or not, but it did, so I guess it's just a side effect. It can be quite messy because it's a cream, but overall, it was worth it."
