Semaglutide "I’ve just started Ozempic 5 mg/2 mL, really struggled to work out 0.25 mg, so now I think I’ve taken too much 0.3 mL. I’ve projectile vomited everywhere. I used Ozempic many years ago and never experienced this. Any advice please?"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've lost about 40 lbs since starting Ozempic 11 months ago. My A1C is now within normal limits, but I still take Metformin. My non-alcohol fatty liver disease has resolved as well. I experienced nausea and vomiting early on in treatment, but that has mostly resolved. I feel hunger less and feel full longer. Constipation is a big problem, so I use an occasional stool softener or eat some prunes to keep things moving. The medication decreases the pleasure I get from food, which is weird sometimes. When I go out of town, I used to look forward to trying a new restaurant, but now it's just 'meh' no matter what I eat. I found that I have more nausea if I inject in the abdomen, so I do it in my arm or thigh instead."

Semaglutide "I have been taking Ozempic for five months, and I have lost 35 pounds. That’s the good part. I continue to have very bad fatigue, and when I upped my dose, I find myself nauseous and vomiting. I’m gonna continue taking it for a little while longer to reach my goal. So far, it has been worth it for me."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was on Ozempic for about a year, lost +/- 14 kgs. Diabetes was controlled. After about 9 months of taking it, I started suffering with upper and lower tummy cramps and once had nausea and vomiting. Went in for an ultrasound, it showed I had a fibroid on my left ovary and my GP said I had colitis. Treated me with Nexium and Buscopan and asked me to stop the Ozempic as that was causing the colitis. Tummy cramps have not gone away completely as it's been a month since I stopped Ozempic, but I started feeling hungry all the time and it's so bad that if I don't eat, I start shaking and feel very weak. Oh, and I also started feeling very weak in my legs, not numb but tingly sort of. Sometimes I feel as if I'm going to fall to the floor in a puddle. Not sure if that is also related to the Ozempic."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "When I heard about Ozempic, the insulin is being used as weight loss, then I thought it wouldn't work for me as a type 2 patient. With another insulin, I was tired and frustrated. So I asked the specialist to try Ozempic. She agreed. I have just started this 5 days ago, so far, I have had headache, vomiting, but no stomach upset. With 2.5 mil dosage and regular medication, it's working. Hopefully, it will help me in the long run. Thank you."

Semaglutide "Currently on 1 mg per week (week 3). Mid-evening: feel bloated and nausea, followed by frequent watery loose stool throughout the night (ranging from 5 minutes to 30 minutes between movements). By midnight, nausea escalated to vomiting with continued watery loose stool. Early morning, body stabilizes with infrequent watery stool. Such events reoccur 2 to 3 days apart. Weight loss is ongoing."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic now for 14 weeks. My readings were very high, could be between 12 and 20, but since I’ve been on Ozempic my readings are down to 6.2, sometimes lower. I feel so much better, and my blood tests are good about my other health conditions. But I have hives, and it’s itchy and driving me nuts. And I have vomited on and off and had terrible stomach pains at first. After a few weeks, that eased off. I can’t eat much, so that worries me, but I’ve lost 12 pounds, so I’m happy about that. I don’t enjoy food anymore, and I have decided to have small meals during the day. Constipation was a problem, but I take a Metamucil fiber tablet each day and now have no problem."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Occasionally feel like vomiting, but never do, in general, no issues. Does stop you from eating high-fat/sugar foods. Has sorted out my blood sugar levels and has been a great help with weight loss (about 12-15 kg in 6 months, bonus)."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have type 2 diabetes and I am obese. I started this medication in November 2023. I stopped using it for three months due to a shortage in the market in my country. I used 0.25mg for the first month, 0.5mg for the next three months, and 1mg for two months. The last dose of 1mg was taken on May 17, 2024. In November, I weighed 91kg, and I have reached 75kg or perhaps even less now. For my health, I feel significantly better while working or going upstairs. Regarding side effects, I experienced tiredness, vomiting, headaches, nausea, constipation, and stomach pain."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Wegovy for weight loss purposes. I’m 5’11, 225 pounds, with a BMI of 31%, so I can be considered obese. I’ve been on it for one week and have lost 7 pounds. I’m starting with the lowest dosage (0.25). First of all, the injection was completely painless (for me). I also inject Humira bi-weekly, so maybe I’m just used to it, but I was shocked to feel absolutely nothing. I questioned if I was doing it right, it was so painless. Do not let some testimonials scare you! I did a lot of research while waiting for the drug to come back into stock. 90% of what I read were complaints about vomiting, diarrhea, some people getting so sick they had to go off of it. Some of these reviews were written after only a week or two of the drug usage. So far, my personal experience has been completely different than what I’ve read. That could change as I go up in dosage. As of right now, the only side effect I’m experiencing is a complete lack of appetite."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Been on a 1 mg dose for 15 days, and my appetite is very low. Side effects are belching, GERD (for which I already receive treatment), and vomiting. So losing weight has been easy when food is removed from the equation. I have lost 8 lbs so far. Hoping to see improvement in A1c and lowered insulin dose in the future."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’m in my second month of Ozempic. The first dose level (0.25 mg) wasn’t difficult. I felt good, with minimal nausea, mostly fatigued and gassy. Moved up to 0.5 mg 3 days ago, and oh boy, nausea ++ heartburn ++ have vomited twice. Holding out because I had been running with very high blood sugars due to poor diet and med compliance, peeing every 2 seconds, and drinking the well dry, but now I sleep all night, have to remind myself to drink, so those are the symptoms I prefer. I feel lighter and my clothes feel looser, haven’t weighed myself yet."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy since February. I started on 0.25 mg and am now on 1.7 mg. Each month I have gone up a dose and injected it in my thighs. I was at 207 lbs and now I am at 190 lbs. But every time I inject myself, the next morning I vomit the little I ate the night before. I am always feeling nauseous after I eat and I know my limits now, but I always have that feeling that I will vomit. I always get heartburn and I’m always burping."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am going on week 11 with Ozempic, and have lost 24 pounds. I have had all 5 of the main side effects, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. I am happy with the weight loss, so am learning to manage these. By trial and error, I've found that I can't eat much at one time (don't really want to), need to avoid fatty foods, drink lots of fluids, and take Senna laxative every night for the constipation, and keep Zofran around to help with nausea. Yes, these first few weeks have been difficult, but the weight loss is worth it to me. Plus, the side effects get less the longer I'm on Ozempic. I am currently on 1.0 mg and think that's quite enough. I am rarely hungry and often have to make myself eat. I hope to lose 65 pounds total."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Taking Rybelsus tablets, started with 3 mg, then 7 mg, then 14 mg. Was OK until 14 mg, then started with stomach cramps, vomiting, and feeling like I was dying, frankly awful. Stopped, and after 3 days, symptoms stopped. Started on 10 mg (7 + 3) after discussing with the doctor. Same symptoms, feel ill all day, can't eat (have lost weight from 105 kg down to 96 kg in a couple of months), then at night it's the worst, can't sleep, feel ill until about 2 am, then get vomiting and dry heaves, exhausting, so cannot live life normally. I am always in bed resting from a bad bout. I am now, after reading so many good reviews and having lost weight, really want this to work, so will start again at 3 mg and see if I can live with it. It does work, you do not want to eat, but the side effects are daunting."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I just started with semaglutide. I had a gastric sleeve done 15 months ago, and I'm ten pounds to my goal weight, I'm down 67 pounds. I eat very healthy, no added sugar, low fat, high protein, complex carbs. My sugars were still too high. It's genetics, not my diet. My doctor had me on metformin, but it wasn't working very well. I started this two days ago. I threw up one time yesterday, but after that, I'm feeling good. I have no appetite, though, which is fine. Hopefully, this will get my sugars under control!"

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I've been on Ozempic for two and a half months now for weight loss, and the results have been great. I've lost about 25 lbs. The only thing I don't really like is I truly do have no appetite. At all. So sometimes eating is a slog. Just getting through 3 or 4 bites of a meal can be annoying. And even though it's been almost 3 months, I still get nausea from time to time. I also had to dial back a lot of my social drinking, as I'm eating so little, there's nothing to absorb the alcohol in my stomach most days, causing indigestion, acid reflux, vomiting, and other problems. Still, I'm going to stick with the medication to see how much weight I can potentially lose over the course of six months."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 6 months now. My weight has dropped from 134 kg to 102 kg, a loss of 32 kilograms. I was unwell for the first 2 months, but things settled after that. However, during the past month, I have started getting really bad nausea with some vomiting, diarrhea, and burping (sulfur taste). The doctor has dropped me back down to 0.5 mg dose to see if it improves. I do not take any other medication. HbA1 has gone from 7.1 down to 5.7. Blood glucose is in the 4.9 to 5.8 range. I must stress that for this to work, you have to watch what you are eating and do regular exercise."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out with .25 mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50 mg dose, and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited, and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive if I get decent weight loss. I am also fairly active, and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid because of cancer nine years ago."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My A1c has been hovering around 7, and my weight was creeping up, so my doc suggested this. I started on the 3, and the nausea and projectile vomiting were rough... indeed, I didn’t think I could handle it. Then I discovered if I take it when I wake in the small hours to pee, if I took it then, I had almost no problems. I’m now up to the 15mg dose, and so far I’ve gone from around 255lb to about 220lb and falling. Two whole jean sizes... haven’t done new labs yet... but the weight loss is remarkable... it’s also quite weird to essentially almost never feel hungry anymore."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 6 months now. After the first few injections, I was so sick, vomiting, and diarrhea all the time. I called the doc and said I couldn’t take this anymore. Of course, I lost weight, as I couldn’t keep anything in me. I researched the medication itself to understand exactly what it was & how it worked. I decided to stay on it. My A1c was 8.8 when I started. 3 months later, 6.4. I am down 36 pounds. I have been exercising regularly for 3 months now, running 3.5 miles 5 times a week. The confidence and energy from the weight loss outweighs all the negative side effects in the beginning for me! Blood sugar control is excellent, and I suspect will only improve after the continued weight loss. I have stalled with weight loss twice now, but not giving up, and sticking to my exercise (changing it up a bit to gain more muscle to burn fat), I have been able to overcome the stalls and continue to lose. Complete game changer medication for me!!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking the .25 a week ago. The first 2-3 days, I had stomach pain, headache, and vomiting, none of which were bad. I took my second shot yesterday, and the gas was awful. The one thing that I really wanted to do was to lose some weight, and so far, I've lost 3 lbs. My appetite is slowly fading, but I have to watch myself because I'm still craving sweets at night. I have to make myself drink fluids, but luckily the one thing I did crave was Cokes, and I don't even think about them anymore. I love this med."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been taking this for 2.5 months. I've lost a solid 10 pounds. I take it right before bed so I can sleep off the initial side effects, if any. There is a little bit of diarrhea, nothing too crazy. I have major loss of appetite, I can eat half meals or half kids' meals and I'm always full after a few bites. Sugars are low. The major side effect is nausea, but it isn't every day. I've thrown up 3 times within the past 3 months, which is something I never did prior. It comes out of nowhere, and honestly, I'm unsure if it is this injectable or just from taking an iron supplement and vitamin. Could be the vitamin. I feel tired also, not sure if it's just work or a side effect. Overall, I'm happy with the injectable, plus it beats taking a pill every day."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am not sure if it has been very much help, as my sugar levels have been running high and would need to have my A1C checked to see if it has lowered from my last visit. Have not experienced side effects like others: headache, stomach cramps, vomiting, or excessive diarrhea. Only experienced slight stomach cramps and diarrhea when I consumed greasy foods."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on 1 mg of Ozempic for about 8 weeks and lost 13 pounds. My appetite has decreased. Other people started out at .25 or .5, I've noticed from reading other reviews. Considering this, I'm shocked my doctor started me on 1 mg. I was really sick the first month. Lots of vomiting, gas, stomach ache, and diarrhea. Despite all that, I'm pleased that I lost weight and the side effects have gone away. I just hope it continues to work as an appetite suppressant. Other meds I've taken that were originally one for me stopped working on my appetite after a while."
