Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started Ozempic in January 2019. I have lost 24 lbs, and my A1C has gone down. My appetite has been cut in half. The only side effect I have had was in the beginning: slight headaches. Those have gone away. If I overeat, I’ll get a sour stomach. But other than that, I didn’t get those bad effects I have been reading about. Definitely happy with the results."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Freedom! Freedom from the constant food/sugar cravings that ruled my days. I’m starting week 2 and have felt a bit of sour stomach but, to be honest, less uncomfortable than overeating or indulging in fast food/sugary foods that we stuff ourselves with. The most I felt was after eating ice cream. Well, of course! This truly regulates numbers and totally takes away appetite. My meals are very small, clean, nutrient-dense, taken to refuel my body, rather than to seek pleasure/soothe (insert and bad feeling). Go figure - kind of how we are designed to eat? The best thing? Carrying out my day feeling lighter and awake - vs. full and puffy. Amazing."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am type 1 diabetic, have COPD, and am overweight due to steroid prescription. Since starting Ozempic, my weight is going down, as is my blood pressure. My O² levels are staying up, and I have more energy. We started a higher dose 2 days ago, and I am having some stomach issues, but hoping that will subside in the next couple of days. All in all, my experience with Ozempic has been very positive."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "My experience with Wegovy. - Experienced upset stomach and nausea initially, but these symptoms were manageable. - Lost 32 pounds in six months, with reduced appetite as a significant benefit. - Knee issues have limited exercise, but weight loss has contributed to lower blood pressure. - Monthly cost is around $200, with insurance coverage easing the financial burden. - Wegovy's injection is easy to use and comes with excellent support and reminders."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My A1C's have dropped, and I have so far dropped 28 lbs in 4 months. I feel much better physically and mentally. I started out at 0.25 and am up to 0.5 mg. I did have an upset stomach and constipation, but it's not as bad now. My body must be getting used to it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Caused some G.I. issues (diarrhea, upset stomach), but after a few doses (0.5 mg) things improved. Still have bouts occasionally, but the reward (lower blood sugars and A1C) outweighs the negative. Seldom have a problem with the injection, but on occasion get a mild burning sensation, very mild."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Taking Ozempic due to type 2 diabetes and high CRP. Initially had minor stomach issues, which were resolved quickly. Unfortunately, once at a 1 mg dose, I experienced blurry vision due to a branched retinal vein occlusion. I stopped the medication for a 6-month period, recently restarted, keeping my dose at 0.5 mg, not having any issues with stomach or eyes. My blood sugar levels are great, need to check my A1C, but am confident it will be good. I like the once-a-week shot, otherwise, I was popping supplements multiple times a day. I still watch my carb/sugar intake when I eat. My appetite is near non-existent and tend to eat small portions, so weight is reducing, which is a benefit. I'm grateful for this medicine, it works, and fortunately, my co-pay is small, otherwise, it would be unaffordable."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was scared at first, just like I guess anybody. Now from the commercials on TV about lawsuits, and you could get cancer or kidney problems, pancreatic cancer or gallbladder problems. But I ain't going to lie, I like it. It's not bothering me whatsoever. I've lost weight, my blood sugars not what it's supposed to be, but it's came down a lot. It's very expensive, thank God I've got insurance that will pay for it. But other than, you know, maybe a couple of stomach aches that I had right at first, it's leveled off and it's fine, and I'm on the lowest dose there is, my doctor said. So I'm fixing to up it, hopefully, and let's see how much weight I can lose and how much better my blood levels can get!!! I recommend you give it a try and see if it will work as good on you too. I'm not getting paid for writing this. I don't write reviews a lot sometimes, but I didn't have nothing else to do, so I thought I would... I'm 52 years old, I'm overweight, and I take metformin. Also, my blood sugar is getting better. 5⭐s"

"At the beginning of treatment, I had constipation and a little bit of an upset tummy. That went away within 2 weeks. I learned that I was consuming more than I should. When I stopped overeating, I started feeling good. I injected 2.5 ml once a week and was losing weight immediately. After 7 weeks, I was almost at my goal weight. My doctor started to lower my dosage because I had reached a BMI of 23. I am feeling and looking great."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I made a review when I first started Ozempic. Now, I am on my second week and lucky to have no bad side effects, except for constipation. I have been taking natural laxatives, but they also give me stomach cramps. So, I am going to reduce the dose. I don't know how long I am staying on it. I will see my doctor in two weeks and see what she says. I am not obese, but my cholesterol and blood sugar were high. Also, I would like to lose 10-15 lbs. I have already lost 4 lbs, and I am happy with it. I have always been a healthy eater and now try to be more so. I am happy with it because my weight is more manageable now."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On December 19, 2022, I saw my medical provider and requested a prescription for Ozempic. She agreed that at 5’3” and weighing 192 lbs, it would be a good option for me. I started Ozempic on January 3, 2023. The first time I weighed myself after starting Ozempic was at the beginning of February, and I weighed 179 lbs. Through February, my weight bounced between 181-175, then I lost another 5 lbs in the first two weeks of March. I’m hoping to reach 160 by mid-April. My weight goal is 130-135. I am very happy with Ozempic’s effect on my weight loss. I have had assorted side effects. I had two days of extreme headaches after my first dose, but I’ve only had mild headaches with dosage increases since. My stomach is mild to moderately upset most of the time, and most of the time I don’t have much appetite. I’m at a 1 mg/week dosage now, and I’ve started having a lot of bad-tasting burps, but constipation is by far my worst side effect. I don’t know if I would have bowel movements without laxatives."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic for weight loss (PCOS) on June 27th. In 10 weeks, I have lost 12 lbs. It has been slow going, but I believe it's a sustainable rate so long as the medication continues to suppress my appetite. I ramped slowly up to the 1mg dose (6 weeks @ .25, 4 weeks @ .5, and then up to 1mg), which I think helped with minimizing extreme side effects. I did have nausea and occasional upset stomach the day after injecting, but it would usually subside within a day. The worst side effect I've had is an increase in acid reflux, but I've been able to manage that with omeprazole pretty well. Worth a shot if you suffer from binge eating disorder or if you are on the verge of being diabetic! Everyone's experience will vary, but I have found success with it so far."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic because my weight has kept going up over the years. I’ve blamed it on menopause, getting older, and just having a borderline high blood sugar level and hypothyroidism. Had friends who were on Ozempic with great success, so I thought I’d give it a try. For me as well, it has been a game changer. I’ve lost 20 pounds, I look like myself before I married 30 years ago. I’ve had a few symptoms such as stomach cramping, some diarrhea on occasion, and I do have to cut my food intake almost in half. I don’t have sugar cravings at all anymore, which is a wonderful thing in itself. Overall, I have been very happy with it. I plan to reach my goal weight and cut back on my dosage to the minimum to maintain my new weight. This past weekend, I had to have an emergency appendectomy. I’m not sure if it’s related at all to the Ozempic, but thought I would report it here in case others have had a similar response. I definitely would be interested in knowing that."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in December 2021. In the beginning, it made me sick to my stomach. I had the belching and very little appetite. When I got to 0.50 mg, oh my God! I could hardly eat anything for a couple of days. I was scared to go to the next level, but I did. When I was on the 1 mg dose, I didn't have any issues. Once I got to 1.7 mg, it wasn't bad either- a little belching, headaches for a couple of days, upset stomach, and constipation kicked in. Getting ready to start the maintenance level of 2.4 mg, and let's pray I tolerate it well. So far, I have only lost about 27 lbs, trying to lose about 17 more to get to my ideal weight. This is the best medicine that has helped me lose and, prayerfully, keep it off. I have learned how to eat small meals and make better choices in foods."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I'm on my second week. I've lost 2-3 lb. I feel less hungry and don't lose control after I eat. I don't constantly think about food. If I overeat, I feel sick after. I still want sweets, but I can eat very little and feel content, almost put off by it. I feel the most side effect symptoms right after the injections. The side effects have been mild, probably because I put the injection into my thigh instead of my stomach. They include: bowel movements, weird taste in mouth, headaches, tiredness, tummy ache, and earache. But very mild. I'm excited to move up to a full dose."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on it for 7 weeks. I have had the runs as others have noted, and the sour stomach, but what I also noted is that those symptoms are worse if you've eaten too much or a heavier meal before bedtime. Small snacks are ok. I don't drink any sugar-laden beverages, and I eat lots of fiber already. My diet is mostly vegetarian, but not for any reason other than my stomach just feels better on it. I think that has helped keep the side effects in check. So far, I've lost 8 lbs, which TBH is kind of shocking. I never thought my body would give up this weight, but I'm heading in the right direction. Sugars are dropping nicely, especially my fasting sugar. I have that hypo drop and spike when you wake up, and that seems to be leveling off, which is great. So I'm going to keep going. Oh, and I didn't jump in with dosing, I started with 0.25 and kept on that for six weeks and only just now moving to 0.5. Slow gradual is the right way. Too much at once will make you sick."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Rybelsus for 3 months, along with Metformin and Glyburide. Overall, it has been great, with morning sugar in the 130 range from the 180s before. Haven’t done A1C, but I’m hopeful. Some stomach issues - feel bloated a lot, and one time had dry heaves. But I’ve adapted and found just eating less avoids the issues. A side benefit is lost about ten pounds without any effort, really. Only real issue is cost, Medicare coverage sucks on this drug."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’m into my 5th week and have increased to .5. In addition to diabetes type 2, I have PCOS and IBS. I’ve been doing well so far, other than a mild headache and stomach upset. My appetite is obliterated, and I have to make sure I’m eating regularly. Otherwise, nausea and lightheadedness end up being my trigger to eat because I’ve gone too long in between meals. It’s been confusing for me, as overeating has always been an issue. Now I have no desire to eat and am working at adjusting by eating small portions throughout the day. I’m definitely losing weight, which is much needed. In addition to Ozempic, I take Metformin and Tradjenta, which I’ve been on for a very long time. This week, my fasting blood sugar decreased from 155 to 135. That makes me happy."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on 1 mg of Ozempic for about 8 weeks and lost 13 pounds. My appetite has decreased. Other people started out at .25 or .5, I've noticed from reading other reviews. Considering this, I'm shocked my doctor started me on 1 mg. I was really sick the first month. Lots of vomiting, gas, stomach ache, and diarrhea. Despite all that, I'm pleased that I lost weight and the side effects have gone away. I just hope it continues to work as an appetite suppressant. Other meds I've taken that were originally one for me stopped working on my appetite after a while."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been on this med for 7 weeks. I’ve lost 25 lbs and my daily blood sugars range from 60 - 90. I use it along with 500 mg Metformin. The first couple of weeks were hard with nausea and stomach cramps. I also had the headaches that others have mentioned in the first couple of days. In week 3, I increased from 0.25 to 0.50. Then came the diarrhea. It wasn't too bad, I was just happy that I could go. I’m now taking 1.0 and experiencing sulfuric burping. Ugh! After doing some research on home remedies to help with the burping, I’m trying a spoon of apple cider vinegar. If you can make it through the first few weeks and you can be somewhat disciplined, you will notice a huge difference in how you feel. In my opinion, the side effects are manageable when I compare the weight gain while taking Insulin. BTW - I’m not severely obese. Prior to being on this drug, my weight was 205, and I’m 5’9 and 47 years old. I hope this is helpful to someone."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been taking Wegovy for 2 months now. First month, very little side effects & lost 14 lbs. Second month, moved up to the 0.5 dose. Stomach issues started, mainly rumbling noises with diarrhea/constipation. Has gone on for weeks now (not days), so have referred myself to my GP."

Semaglutide "I have been taking Ozempic since July of 2024 to treat my obesity. I am currently taking a 0.5 ml injection, and the side effects for me were minimal. I had some stomach cramping and surprise bouts of diarrhea for the first 3 months after the day of injection, but I continue at the same dosage, and so far, there have been no further side effects. In total, I have lost 94.6 lbs so far using Ozempic, and I feel so much better about myself and my appearance. The cravings for sweet snacks and the urge to overeat or comfort eat have gone away almost completely. I wasn't sure about the self-injection at first, but it is so easy to do and convenient that I can dose myself at home."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Blood sugar levels started getting high 33 a year ago, tried several different prescriptions before being placed on Ozempic (4 months ago), metformin & Invokana. Now reading 6.5 levels, with a recent 7.0 A1C. In the past 4 months have gone from 170 to 141 lbs. I was told weight loss included muscle loss so I’m trying to keep on a high-protein diet and weight workouts. I don’t think I’ve had a hunger pang in 4 months, and eat way less. I do get burps after eating and occasional stomach pain that is tolerable. Perhaps it’s the combination of all bringing down my levels that gives me two things I didn’t expect, clear clarity in thinking (better memory recall) and a lot more energy (as in stable for a good 10 hours and then I start getting fatigued). I honestly am very happy to lose weight and eat off a smaller plate."
