Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started my 2nd injection of Wegovy. I had no side effects with the first injection at all but lost 2 lbs. On my 2nd, I feel a little tired, but no symptoms so far. I can tell that I need to drink more water, and it seems that I can no longer finish a plate of food. I’m glad my doctor recommended I try this. It really does work!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "It’s working, my overall caloric intake has substantially decreased. Some weight loss, but disappointed with the amount. I expected 25 lbs of weight, and I only got 15 or so. My A1C is in a good place at 6.3. I feel lethargic and have dry mouth often."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Type II diabetic with kidney disease. Been on Ozempic 18 weeks, and at 2.0 for 4 weeks. I felt great at 1.0, but not at 2.0. Lethargy and headaches non-stop now. Will see Dr. to go back to 1.0 after blood work. Good news: A1C went from 7.3 to 6.5. Glucose now close to normal range. Previously was between 260-335. Kidney function increased from 30-37. Lost 44 lbs. I am 62 and on disability."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, I've been on it for one month. I lost 7 lbs, my goal is 10, so I've decided to stay on it one more month. I do get nauseated and exhausted quicker than usual, but if I sit for a minute, it usually passes. It definitely helped my calorie deficit. I had to tell myself to eat because I wasn't hungry most of the day, but very thirsty, so I drank about 1/2 to one gallon of water a day. It has diminished my cravings for sweets as well, I don't even want it. Good luck to everyone, I'm sure, as with anything, results are different for everyone. Be safe and eat fresh."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was 182 lbs and have been on Wegovy for about 4 months. I am now 168 lbs. I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also been quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has reduced my blood sugar levels, and I have lost weight. At first, I experienced stomach pain and gastrointestinal issues frequently. It’s been about three months, and those symptoms only come from eating the wrong foods now. I am tired, have some anxiety, but my biggest issue is at night with my legs. They have been extremely jumpy, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful. It is letting up a bit over time. I am hoping to lose enough weight to help reduce, if not eliminate, my diabetes medication. I have stopped taking Actos but am still on Metformin along with Ozempic. I am on the highest dosage of Ozempic at 2 mg."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Began Wegovy three weeks ago, have lost 11 pounds so far. Ready to move up to the 0.5 mg dose. Side effects have been minimal, some tiredness and a bit of constipation, but nothing awful. The key is to listen to your body. If you feel full, then stop eating. That's Wegovy doing its job. Don't ignore it. Good luck to all."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In February of '23, I learned that I had a hiatal hernia where 2/3rds of my stomach was above my diaphragm. The doctor said she could operate, but it wouldn't stay fixed because of my body mass. So my primary care PA suggested Wegovy. I agreed to try it. The first 3-4 days of my first week were rather rough. I had horrible gas, diarrhea, and nausea. I could eat berries and yogurt, but not much else. Over the first 2 months, I lost 12 pounds. Then I plateaued. There also was a mix-up with getting my next 4 doses on time, so I went a couple of weeks with no doses. Most recently, we upped my dose, and now at 1.7 mg, I don't have many stomach problems, but I feel tired all the time. I get up and do a few things, and then I take a nap. And repeat. I had one time when I started to feel dizzy and faint because my blood sugar was low, but a sweet drink and a burrito helped with that. I am still slowly losing weight, which makes me happy! I've lost a total of 18 pounds in about 4 months."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic at the end of March 2023 for overall better A1C control, weight loss, and reduction in cardiovascular risk. Started at 0.25 mg for the first week and increased to 0.5 mg since. For the first month, I had strong nausea, lightheadedness, and significant constipation with abdominal discomfort. I also felt very tired all day, which I found was due to not eating enough carbs daily, as Ozempic tends to significantly reduce the appetite. I stuck with it, and after one month at 0.5 mg, the only remaining issue is constipation, which I try to manage through over-the-counter laxatives and prescription medication once a day. Over two months, I lost 25 pounds (235 lbs down to 210 lbs)! My daily fasting blood sugar results are down 20-25 points from before starting Ozempic (A1C to be tested in one more month) and managing my energy level by ensuring enough carb and protein intake. So far, so good!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started with the 0.25 mg dose and had very little side effects. A slight tiredness was felt but noticed immediately the reduced level of my appetite and hunger needs. I felt full sooner with smaller portions of food and had no cravings to nibble on stuff at night, which was the norm for me. Make sure to eat well with a basic caloric intake needed for your height and weight, drink plenty of fluids, and get decent sleep daily. This, along with a normal gym schedule, works wonders! I have been on the medication for 5 days now and lost (I assume mostly water weight) 5 lbs in this short time period. I stay active, which also helps with weight loss, but have noticed a complete change in appetite and the lack of needing to snack during the day. I feel this plan will work for me in my goal to lose 20 lbs and will help keep the weight off due to forcing a lifestyle change in my exercise and activity levels being increased. The key is having the desire for change, and Wegovy assists in that."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Starting week 9 with the second injection of 1 mg. I have lost 24 pounds in 8 weeks. The side effects happen about 3 - 4 days a week. The first weekend on 0.25 mg was the worst! I really thought I needed my last rites! I have had headaches, nausea, vomiting, and bowel issues but not like the first-week episode. I try to eat light the day of the shot and take it at night because it makes me tired. You have to stay positive and just buy meds that will help with side effects because the side effects will probably always happen a couple of days a week. Try to drink 1/2 gallon of water a day and stay away from red meat, fried food, fast food, (most) dairy and sugar. If you don't, you will feel sick from eating that stuff. Also only eating one cup of food every couple of hours has made a huge difference in the nausea. Stock up on SF ice pops and SF Gatorade. I am so grateful that I got Wegovy with my insurance and when I want to quit, I just remember how many people would love the opportunity."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Semaglutide in April. I felt sick for pretty much 2 months and almost gave up several times, but since the weight was coming off and my husband was doing it with me, I decided to keep going and took Zofran for nausea. My side effects: exhaustion, diarrhea, nausea, gas cramps, and light-headedness. Sometimes I still feel those things, but my body has adjusted mostly to it. In the beginning, I didn't feel like eating, and nothing sounded good. Now, I am hungry but can control my snacking. I lost weight quickly - 35 pounds. I had to keep buying new clothes. I do not want to lose any more weight since I reached my goal weight. Now, I take 30 units weekly to maintain the results. My cholesterol is the best it's been in years! I do work out 3 days a week, but I always have. I just couldn't lose any weight and ate too many snacks at night. This prevents snacking. Be careful not to lose weight too fast. I now have to deal with sagging skin. My husband and I still feel it's worth it though."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am currently on my 9th injection today, being my 8th full week being on Wegovy. I have lost a total of 40 pounds so far. Appetite is definitely curbed. Sundays when I take the injection, it makes me tired. A lot of gas and the occasional runs, but the weight loss is worth the side effects."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I'm on my second week. I've lost 2-3 lb. I feel less hungry and don't lose control after I eat. I don't constantly think about food. If I overeat, I feel sick after. I still want sweets, but I can eat very little and feel content, almost put off by it. I feel the most side effect symptoms right after the injections. The side effects have been mild, probably because I put the injection into my thigh instead of my stomach. They include: bowel movements, weird taste in mouth, headaches, tiredness, tummy ache, and earache. But very mild. I'm excited to move up to a full dose."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking this medication now for 2 weeks and 1/2 for weight loss purposes, and I started with 1 mg recommended by my friend that lost 15 pounds with it in 2 months. Well, I got very nauseous, dizzy, and headaches, which got better in the 2nd week, but I feel very tired all the time, very low energy, and started having shortness of breath. I lost 5 pounds so far, and I'm still not feeling well. I do get full faster when I eat, but it has been very hard dealing with the side effects. At this moment, I'm not sure if I will go on with it or not. My inspiration is my son, who was 242 pounds and now is 205 after 1 month and 3 weeks of being on Ozempic. It has truly changed his life, and he is super happy, he calls it the miracle drug. I will keep you guys posted on my journey."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on this medication for 10 months. I started with .25 for 4 weeks, then increased to my prescribed dose of .5. My doctor and pharmacist correctly recommended this gradual increase. However, after beginning the .5, I became very nauseous, had diarrhea and/or constipation, terrible headaches, and all-around lethargy. It was awful. I toughed it out for 2 weeks, but that was it. At the advice of my pharmacist, who happens to be a diabetic counselor, I went back down to .25 for a couple of weeks, then very gradually increased my dose. A few extra clicks of the pen each week until I reached .5. Success!! Now I have no side effects and have lost 25 lbs, which is a significant amount for me. My appetite is very low, and I just don't experience any cravings that I used to. My guess is this very slow, gradual, almost click-by-click increase may be effective for a lot of people. I have read through many of these reviews and cannot imagine jumping right in with a .5, however, I am not a doctor, so..."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’m 55. I was on Metformin 500 mg twice a day for 1 year. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This medication was making me sick, my sugar was not stable even though I was very careful about what I ate. I was feeling tired, body aches. I explained to my endocrinologist, she suggested I should stop right away. I was on Junivia 100 mg once a day, very same family as Ozempic. It cost the same, I lost 10 lbs. Then I switched to Ozempic injection 0.25 for a month, after 0.50. I didn’t feel any side effects, my body aches and tiredness were gone. But when I started 1 mg Ozempic injection once a week, it changed everything. I started to feel very tired, acid reflux, I felt extremely tired, no energy, dizziness. But now I’m thinking of talking to my endocrinologist and stopping after 3 months of use. My diabetic level is always stable at 6.2, 5.4, but I don’t like to feel very tired all the time. I hope my experience will help someone. But Metformin is not suitable for me."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Male, 45, 101 kg (225 lb). Three weeks in. Still on 0.25 mg. Definitely less appetite and fine on a wrap for lunch and a light dinner. Have lost 4 kg (9 lbs). Occasionally feel a bit queasy, but never nauseous. Also feeling quite tired, but that could be the lower calories or lower blood sugar. Positive results from this initial phase. It definitely does what it says on the box."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "On Ozempic for 6 weeks now. I had two pancreatitis-type pains in my upper abdomen and back. I am extremely tired a lot. I have had low blood sugar under 4 a couple of times and loss of appetite. I get dizzy and lightheaded at times. I am hoping these side effects are temporary. It does curb your appetite, most definitely."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have type 2 diabetes and I am obese. I started this medication in November 2023. I stopped using it for three months due to a shortage in the market in my country. I used 0.25mg for the first month, 0.5mg for the next three months, and 1mg for two months. The last dose of 1mg was taken on May 17, 2024. In November, I weighed 91kg, and I have reached 75kg or perhaps even less now. For my health, I feel significantly better while working or going upstairs. Regarding side effects, I experienced tiredness, vomiting, headaches, nausea, constipation, and stomach pain."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 5'6" and weighed 182 on May 19, 2023, when I started semaglutide at the local weight loss center. My weight is down 22 lbs, and I am happy about the way I'm looking. I should mention I am a 68-year-old active senior and work out M-F with moderately high intensity. My dose is 1.2 now to keep the cravings away. My goal weight is 150 lbs, and I'm at 162 lbs now. I do not drink, but when I've had 1 or 2 (max) alcoholic drinks, I am in misery the next day with a very bad hangover feeling. Also, if I make fruit cobblers or anything sweet and I eat it, I feel lousy the next day. I have lived off of Pepcid and bicarbonate water this entire treatment time. Exercise is difficult without the Pepcid, as I feel reflux during high jumps or deep bends. My mood is grouchy sometimes because of the tiredness and intermittent waves of nausea that are random. Still, it's the best way I've ever lost weight because it works."
