Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I love this medication. I've been on the med since 3/8/2019. 11 weeks. I have lost 27 pounds and feeling good. I have learned to switch the spot where I give the shots. I find when I give them in the stomach only, I get constipated. And the day after giving the shot, I get a headache. I sleep with two bottles of water by my bed daily. If I don’t drink it at night, in the morning I do."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 3 months now, and I find this drug works like none I have tried before. The first 6 weeks were rough: burping, headaches, fatigue, nausea, but I stuck it out. I’m so glad I did. My A1C has gone from 8 to 6.8 in three months. I have lost 20 pounds, going from 180 to 160 lbs. My daily sugars have seen a vast improvement. The major thing I have noticed after being on the drug for this long is that recovery time after eating high-carb or high-sugar foods is back to normal. Appetite is still lacking, but it’s mostly an aversion to ‘bad’ food. I can no longer sit and eat an entire burger, it’s just way too much, but a healthy salad, I can eat the whole thing! I have seen major benefits from this drug. I have way more energy and no more 3 pm crash. Tips while adjusting to the drugs: Tums, Gravol, lots of sleep, light healthy meals, and remember to drink water! Also, I found injecting Ozempic in the hip lessened the symptoms for the first while."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking this Ozempic 0.25 dose injection for my first week. On 04/17/19, I have lost a total of 4.5 pounds so far. I am on my second week of Ozempic. The first week I didn’t have stomach pain, headache, or any side effects. But I notice that my appetite had a big change. I am not hungry all day. I am eating small meals now. I have been drinking more water than normal, but after reading all the reviews, I was really scared too. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be the right medicine for me. But it works!!! No side effects yet!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking this drug 4 weeks ago. I got just a light headache at first, then I'm fine. My appetite is definitely under control. No cookies, junk food, etc. for the last 30 days, and I have lost 17 pounds! I take .50 per week! Wow!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Beginning weight was 234 and began at 0.25 in June 2024, and just began 2.4 today at 177. Been going up very slowly, but weight loss has slowed way down. Still have 17 pounds to lose, but prefer 27 more. Have gone from 2XL/Size 22 to size 14. Have dealt with nausea, headaches, occasional constipation/diarrhea, depending on what I eat. Small meals, five times a day, plus drinking lots of water is key. I get extremely tired the day or two after taking the shot. I take the shot at night, hoping to be at my goal weight by the end of May 2025. 63-year-old woman and all blood work now within normal limits."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took a very low dosage of .25, and I lost 30 pounds over the course of six months. The first few days of taking it, I would have a headache and would be very tired, but that eventually went away."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd injection today of Wegovy. Started at 234.5 pounds. Down 8 so far. I'm not sure it's all Wegovy, as I've been able to lose 40 lbs on my own 2 separate times, and I am still doing the things that gave me that success before. Eating close to 1200 a day calories, walking 10,000 steps a day, and lowering alcohol consumption. Still, I do believe it is helping me get a good start and get my mind right. The fear of the side effects is what is probably keeping me in line. So far though, I've only had headaches and fatigue a day or so after the shots. Otherwise, no other side effects, so I am pleased so far with how things are going."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Type II diabetic with kidney disease. Been on Ozempic 18 weeks, and at 2.0 for 4 weeks. I felt great at 1.0, but not at 2.0. Lethargy and headaches non-stop now. Will see Dr. to go back to 1.0 after blood work. Good news: A1C went from 7.3 to 6.5. Glucose now close to normal range. Previously was between 260-335. Kidney function increased from 30-37. Lost 44 lbs. I am 62 and on disability."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking semaglutide in April of 2023 and was at my highest weight ever (230 lb) and perimenopausal. I have never really struggled with weight gain until my 40s, and when I hit 230, I was seriously considering if I would be a candidate for bariatric surgery, but thankfully someone suggested semaglutide. I did experience side effects-nausea, headache, some constipation-but I have lost 70 lbs, and I think taking semaglutide was worth it."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began using Wegovy injectable semaglutide exactly 8 weeks ago today and have had very few symptoms, until the 7 1/2 week mark. At first, my nose ran continually, but that was somewhat manageable with Robitussin (recommended by the pharmacist) for the cough it caused. At dinnertime, at the 7 1/2 week mark, fatigue hit very hard. We were on a trip, and I could barely walk to get back to the hotel and fall in bed. This continued for 48 hours with no desire for food or drink, except ice water. I slept for 5 or 6 hours and awoke with a headache, which lasted the rest of the night. Strange because I do not get headaches. Thankfully, we were headed home at that point, and I slept in the car most of the day for two days. I am much improved and can function somewhat, but not back to normal yet. I am due to double my dose today, but the medication not available for a while due to high demand. Easy to use and have lost 10 lbs in 8 weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I experienced frequent headaches, fatigue, constipation, anxiety, mild depression, lack of interest in activities, aversion to alcohol, and dry mouth. I did have a 14-pound weight loss over 3 months. It is a slow and steady loss, which is reasonable."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Starting week 9 with the second injection of 1 mg. I have lost 24 pounds in 8 weeks. The side effects happen about 3 - 4 days a week. The first weekend on 0.25 mg was the worst! I really thought I needed my last rites! I have had headaches, nausea, vomiting, and bowel issues but not like the first-week episode. I try to eat light the day of the shot and take it at night because it makes me tired. You have to stay positive and just buy meds that will help with side effects because the side effects will probably always happen a couple of days a week. Try to drink 1/2 gallon of water a day and stay away from red meat, fried food, fast food, (most) dairy and sugar. If you don't, you will feel sick from eating that stuff. Also only eating one cup of food every couple of hours has made a huge difference in the nausea. Stock up on SF ice pops and SF Gatorade. I am so grateful that I got Wegovy with my insurance and when I want to quit, I just remember how many people would love the opportunity."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On December 19, 2022, I saw my medical provider and requested a prescription for Ozempic. She agreed that at 5’3” and weighing 192 lbs, it would be a good option for me. I started Ozempic on January 3, 2023. The first time I weighed myself after starting Ozempic was at the beginning of February, and I weighed 179 lbs. Through February, my weight bounced between 181-175, then I lost another 5 lbs in the first two weeks of March. I’m hoping to reach 160 by mid-April. My weight goal is 130-135. I am very happy with Ozempic’s effect on my weight loss. I have had assorted side effects. I had two days of extreme headaches after my first dose, but I’ve only had mild headaches with dosage increases since. My stomach is mild to moderately upset most of the time, and most of the time I don’t have much appetite. I’m at a 1 mg/week dosage now, and I’ve started having a lot of bad-tasting burps, but constipation is by far my worst side effect. I don’t know if I would have bowel movements without laxatives."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Started at 0.125. The first two weeks, I experienced dizziness and nausea. My nausea was mainly at night, I would dream about being sick. I was slightly less motivated than normal. I'm normally a healthy eater, but eat big portions. Not sure if it was the nausea, but I find myself eating slightly less healthy but smaller portions (for example, I used to eat big salads, and that sounds gross to me, so I might eat a small portion of pasta/bread, etc. I have lost 6 pounds in almost 4 weeks, but I am on the smaller side. I am not sure if it is related or not, but I have experienced more frequent headaches since beginning, and I have also experienced more side effects from alcohol (normally, I can have a few glasses of wine without a hangover, but I feel slightly hungover if I have more than one drink). I am excited to continue, and I would recommend trying! Just know the nausea does stop!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy February 28, 2022, at 257 pounds. July 28, 2022, at 205 pounds on the 2.4 ml dose. Side effects at low dose were headaches, stiffness, fatigue, indigestion. 2.4 dose caused extreme gas. Sometimes I stayed an extra month on a dose because of side effects, but you get used to them. Sometimes side effects come the next day or 5 days later. Completely stopped drinking alcohol because it makes me very sick while taking Wegovy."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in December 2021. In the beginning, it made me sick to my stomach. I had the belching and very little appetite. When I got to 0.50 mg, oh my God! I could hardly eat anything for a couple of days. I was scared to go to the next level, but I did. When I was on the 1 mg dose, I didn't have any issues. Once I got to 1.7 mg, it wasn't bad either- a little belching, headaches for a couple of days, upset stomach, and constipation kicked in. Getting ready to start the maintenance level of 2.4 mg, and let's pray I tolerate it well. So far, I have only lost about 27 lbs, trying to lose about 17 more to get to my ideal weight. This is the best medicine that has helped me lose and, prayerfully, keep it off. I have learned how to eat small meals and make better choices in foods."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "So far I love the results. My A1C was 9.8 and now it is 5.6. From August 2020 to now, I lost 67 lbs with diet and working out from the first week. I had a headache, but after, nothing but positive results from low blood sugars ranging from 80 to 110. I kept checking, I thought it was wrong, lol, but overall I tell everyone that is type 2 to speak to their doctor and see if it works for them."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I'm on my second week. I've lost 2-3 lb. I feel less hungry and don't lose control after I eat. I don't constantly think about food. If I overeat, I feel sick after. I still want sweets, but I can eat very little and feel content, almost put off by it. I feel the most side effect symptoms right after the injections. The side effects have been mild, probably because I put the injection into my thigh instead of my stomach. They include: bowel movements, weird taste in mouth, headaches, tiredness, tummy ache, and earache. But very mild. I'm excited to move up to a full dose."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking this medication now for 2 weeks and 1/2 for weight loss purposes, and I started with 1 mg recommended by my friend that lost 15 pounds with it in 2 months. Well, I got very nauseous, dizzy, and headaches, which got better in the 2nd week, but I feel very tired all the time, very low energy, and started having shortness of breath. I lost 5 pounds so far, and I'm still not feeling well. I do get full faster when I eat, but it has been very hard dealing with the side effects. At this moment, I'm not sure if I will go on with it or not. My inspiration is my son, who was 242 pounds and now is 205 after 1 month and 3 weeks of being on Ozempic. It has truly changed his life, and he is super happy, he calls it the miracle drug. I will keep you guys posted on my journey."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on this medication for 10 months. I started with .25 for 4 weeks, then increased to my prescribed dose of .5. My doctor and pharmacist correctly recommended this gradual increase. However, after beginning the .5, I became very nauseous, had diarrhea and/or constipation, terrible headaches, and all-around lethargy. It was awful. I toughed it out for 2 weeks, but that was it. At the advice of my pharmacist, who happens to be a diabetic counselor, I went back down to .25 for a couple of weeks, then very gradually increased my dose. A few extra clicks of the pen each week until I reached .5. Success!! Now I have no side effects and have lost 25 lbs, which is a significant amount for me. My appetite is very low, and I just don't experience any cravings that I used to. My guess is this very slow, gradual, almost click-by-click increase may be effective for a lot of people. I have read through many of these reviews and cannot imagine jumping right in with a .5, however, I am not a doctor, so..."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been on Ozempic for 8 weeks, .25 starter dose for the first 4 weeks; it suppressed my appetite, a couple of mild headaches, and intermittent nausea. Moved to .5 at week 5 and have no desire to eat at all. It’s almost a problem as I feel so weak and have all-day nausea. Hard to tell if the nausea is from not eating, Ozempic, or both. At week 6, I also started taking Humira for spondyloarthritis; the combined side effects are brutal. Sick nearly 24 hours a day, constant nausea, vomiting with any exertion. Backed off the Ozempic to .25; the side effects are better, but still troubling. As a positive, I’ve lost 30 lbs in 8 weeks, all from not eating as I feel too sick and weak to walk or work out. The docs prescribed Zofran 8 mg po every 8 hours as needed. It helps, and I do manage to eat a couple of small meals. Weigh the benefits and downsides, but it does work. A1C dropped from 8.7 to 7.4 in the first 8 weeks and should continue downward with prolonged use and accompanied weight loss."

Semaglutide "I have been on Ozempic for 5 full months to help me lose weight. In that time, I have lost exactly 60 pounds (I had about 100 to lose). I was on 0.25 mg for 6 weeks, moved up to 0.5 mg thereafter, and have been on 1 mg for the past 4 weeks. I certainly experience stomach pains, headaches, absolutely no appetite, severe constipation, feel full almost immediately after eating more than 3-4 bites, and I am not sleeping as well. As of right now, the benefits are outweighing the negatives. I do not plan to stay on Ozempic long term because the possible thyroid cancer/tumors scare me. I am nervous upon stopping Ozempic that the weight gain will come right back."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started Ozempic in January 2019. I have lost 24 lbs, and my A1C has gone down. My appetite has been cut in half. The only side effect I have had was in the beginning: slight headaches. Those have gone away. If I overeat, I’ll get a sour stomach. But other than that, I didn’t get those bad effects I have been reading about. Definitely happy with the results."
