Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic for about 4 months now. Haven’t had really bad side effects, but sometimes I feel just exhausted and somewhat out of breath. I also have muscle aches and fatigue. Not lost a lot of weight, maybe 2 lbs. I keep hoping. Does anyone else have similar side effects? Good luck and all the best results for everyone."

Semaglutide "For weight loss. I started .25 injection Ozempic for weight loss as I was kind of stuck losing weight. It works great for weight loss, and I absolutely have no cravings at all and don't like to eat any food. However, I feel nauseous, and I have low energy, which is not a great feeling as I am usually very active and energetic. I will give it a longer try as it works for me losing weight, as I already lost 4 pounds. Mind you, before I started, I was on a higher fiber diet. Time will tell, I just don't like the way I feel."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am 70, and I have been using Ozempic for over 5 months. After having horrible nausea, things have gotten better. I have to use samples as the cost is greater than I can afford. Now, my joints are paining, reflux, and low energy. My A1c is better, and I have lost a little weight."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on Ozempic 5 months ago for diabetes 2. Started at 0.25, then 0.50, now at 1.00, and so far I lost weight - 35 lbs. But I’m feeling really fatigued, dizzy, and occasional stomach ache, diarrhea, and my eyesight has changed. Great drug for lowering A1C and losing weight, but the side effects are horrible. I think I’m done taking this drug. Side effects are getting worse."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Reduced blood sugar from 10 to 7.1. Killed my hunger completely, no more food cravings. Side effects became disabling, had to discontinue using. Became bloated, nausea was bad, 1st time I have vomited in 50 years, fatigue, constipation, going to the emergency room as no doctors available to help."

Semaglutide "Everyone is different. I really wanted it to work for me, but I cannot tolerate it. At first, I thought it was magic, it took away all food cravings, and I could no longer eat large meals. I tried to stay hydrated and eat a high-protein diet, but I still felt very fatigued. I also experienced low blood sugar and would have to force myself to eat to make the shakes go away. Even my favorite foods no longer taste good, and I have felt depressed. I cannot wait for it to clear my system. Just know some can tolerate the side effects, and some cannot."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is my third week, and I feel absolutely horrid! I have constant dizziness, extreme fatigue, and generally feel like crap. I don't think I will continue. It's not worth it to lose maybe 20 lbs, but I can't get out of bed and function. I am tired of feeling like death warmed over. Unfortunately, because it is controlling my appetite, I'm full after a few bites. I am on a 25 mg dose."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Ozempic 0.25 mg since last March. Had a lot of stomach problems for the first 3 months and stopped for a month to calm my stomach. Lost 16 pounds in the beginning, but that has come to a standstill. I have noticed, besides stomach issues, mood swings, mild depression I didn't have prior, fatigue, and still ongoing stomach issues. I will probably stop. While it notes there are cardiology benefits, for me, it's just not worth the side effects. My advice is to make sure you keep in touch with your doctor and tell them how you are feeling."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking this drug for about 8 weeks, starting out with the 0.25 dose and now on the 0.5 dose. I have felt miserable the whole time, with nausea similar to pregnancy and with a revulsion to most food and smells of food cooking. Definitely low energy. I have lost weight, and I haven’t had my A1C checked since I started. I will see my doctor in a couple of weeks and will be telling her that I can’t continue to live this way. I’m 75 years young and don’t want to live the rest of my years feeling bad! Unusual, hiccup-type burps, coming out of nowhere and no appetite. Convenient once-a-week administration."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor put me on this because I was pre-diabetic, and he said I was insulin resistant. Since I’ve been taking it, I’m not as hungry, but my head hurts, and I always feel dehydrated, and so I’m peeing all day. I feel short of breath, and my chest has been feeling pains. I’m also experiencing constipation and constant light-headedness, and I’ve only been on it for 2 weeks. I may give it another 2 weeks, but not sure if the side effects are worth all this. I feel no energy, and my legs are always sore, and I’m so tired all the time. My way of living has suffered because I’m too tired to do anything and feel yuck all the time. Trying not to be frustrated because if this doesn’t help me, he wants to put me on Jardiance, but I hear so many horror stories about that one. This one isn’t as great as everyone said it would be, so who knows, maybe Jardiance will be better for me."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Rybelsus 3 mg for 16 days. Sugars have improved somewhat already, and weight down about 5 pounds, unexpected. BUT, no appetite, stomach feels full all the time, hard to even drink enough water each day because stomach so uncomfortable. Constipation that is not very responsive to Miralax. Cold hands. Some nausea. More heartburn than usual. Increased fatigue. And the worst is: dizziness and/or vertigo and a feeling of weird fullness in my head along with tinnitus. What the heck? Given the high cost, and that I've all these effects even before going on the 7 mg dosage, I don't think it's worth it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Rybelsus made me really sick. I didn't realize it until a couple of days ago. I thought I had a virus. I was practically leaning on the wall every day, trying to pull myself out of work to the car. Last week, I spent a lunch time lying on my office floor and then just left early. It is more than the nausea, it was fatigue, significant dehydration, confusion, dizziness, headaches... I'm still feeling sick after 2 days of not taking it. I just read that it can take a couple of weeks to get out of your system."

Semaglutide "Oh boy. I just started Ozempic for weight loss at .25. After my first injection, I was fine for two days, and then was constipated for two days—and since then I’ve been pretty darn sick. Violent diarrhea, headaches, some nausea, and very low energy. I’ve taken several days off from work as I’ve felt so bad. I’ve lost weight since I have no appetite, and nausea follows whenever I eat—even broth and crackers. I have international travel planned in 10 days, and I hope that I’m recovered by then. I may try again after my travels, but this has been rough. The worst side effects I’ve had from a new medication."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started Ozempic a month ago. I had a bit of diarrhea with the first two injections. Now it is just the headache and fatigue feeling. I haven't noticed any changes in appetite. I had been losing weight for three months prior to starting Ozempic. I was down 42 pounds, since starting, I'm up six pounds. I haven't noticed any difference in my blood sugar numbers. Not impressed so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On second week. So far lost 4 lbs, so very happy with that. Not sure if this is the cause, but extremely fatigued. Just want to sleep and do sleep a lot during the day. No more get-up-and-go. Getting nothing done for just don't have it anymore. Going to give it a little more time to see if body adjusts, second injection today. If it doesn't, will have to get off for can't live like this. There isn't a life when all I want to do is sleep."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have had terrible side effects from this medication. My legs have swollen to the point of impaired walking, trouble raising either leg to use the shower/tub, and am unable to stand for very long. Shortness of breath, difficulty retaining breath, higher blood pressure, and general fatigue. As for benefits, I really have not noticed any as yet, been too busy coping with the new problems."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic in January 2022. First week, I had extreme diarrhea with blood and mucus (always constipated before this). Endocrinologist told me he didn’t think it was Ozempic, but I went off it. Diarrhea, etc., continued. Ended up having to get a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Endocrinologist wanted to put me back on Ozempic. We figured the diarrhea, etc., was just the colitis. Started it back up five weeks ago. No diarrhea, back to constipation, nauseous every day, extreme fatigue. Also now diagnosed with Retinal Vasculitis. But my inflammatory markers are high. Not sure if this all started because of Ozempic. Just increased to 0.5 mg today, so we will see. It just seems like an odd coincidence. No appetite, but no weight loss either. Hair loss, but could be from colitis."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I used this medicine for 3 months to help me lose an excess weight of 30 lbs. I lost 10 lbs. Initially, I had a few side effects: nausea and indigestion. But by the third month, I felt really sick. I asked for blood tests because I was so exhausted. My blood tests were perfect. The indigestion and heartaches got worse. Eventually, it became unbearable. I'm burnt out, so it just made my condition worse. Zombie. For people who support it well, it's great. But if you have a digestive sensitivity, it's at your own risk. I last used the medicine 10 days ago, and I still have digestive problems and heartaches, as well as fatigue. But the fatigue was present before the use of this drug. I lost 10 pounds out of 30 pounds in a month and a half. Then I didn't lose any more, and I continue to be careful. The drug works for 7 days, so it's been 10 days. It is completely eliminated from our body after 5 weeks. It is especially the fatigue that causes me problems. But it's normal when you're still in indigestion."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Ozempic for about 6 months now, and I've had the absolute worst gastro issues. I didn't notice it much at first, and when I went to my doctor a few months ago, he said it was just my IBS, but after reading these comments, I firmly believe it's the medicine. I have terrible diarrhea. I go at least 8 times a day, and that's no exaggeration. Awful stomach cramps, and I can't even pass gas anymore, literally, I shart. I'm weak and low energy. I've lost 20 lbs, but it's because I'm pooping it away. It helps curb my appetite, and my sugar is good and my A1C is down, but I can't continue this medication. It's truly affected my daily life. I can't go out anywhere that doesn't have a bathroom because when diarrhea hits, I have to go right then. So embarrassing. I'm hoping it's not caused any other issues! Just diet, people, don't take this medicine."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic .25 mg subcut 8 days ago. I took my second dose yesterday. My first week, I ended up in the ED. I thought I had a bowel blockage or ileus. The ED visit was preceded by 6 hours of constant, sickening, odiferous belching, constant flatus, eruptive vomiting, cramping, and pain. A CT scan revealed gastric paresis. The event was precipitated by a fatty meal. I have since learned that the decreased gastric motility demands drastic changes in the volume of food intake, fat content, and most importantly, patience with what I consider to be major side effects. Now, I have no appetite. I am nauseated all the time, taking Zofran 4 mg before any meal. The belching is greatly reduced, same with flatus. I feel constipated, but that is easing off. I am avoiding high-fat foods and eating smaller portions. I am profoundly fatigued. Tomorrow, I am getting on the treadmill for 30 minutes each day to stimulate endorphin release to feel better. I have read the symptoms are reduced after 4-6 weeks."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is my second week on Wegovy. During the first week, I felt fine, but this week, I am experiencing extreme fatigue, tachycardia, headache, and craving sweets. I find myself not eating anything other than meat and no sides. I think I might be done with it. I don't like feeling like this. It's just the second week, and I can't imagine what the third week would feel like."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using semaglutide for weight loss at the lowest dose, and each 4 weeks raised the dosage. I did not lose a single pound in all that time. I am a yoga instructor and practice 4 times per week. I became so severely constipated that I ended up in the ER. I battled with very severe fatigue, weakness, at times overly hungry, blurry vision, and a feeling of just being 'out of it.' I feel like I lost 3 months of my life. After taking my last dose 9 days ago, I’m still having bouts of diarrhea, stomach pain, and headaches. It was not worth it at all for me."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy for 3 months and have gained 2 lbs. I have had side effects such as severe constipation, fatigue, and issues with my menstrual cycle. I am glad other people have had positive experiences with this drug, but it’s definitely no miracle. I decided I can make healthy changes without this medication. I stopped using it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "A1c crept up to 6.9. Started Rybelsus for a 30-day intro with fairly vague side effects of light nausea, constipation, and reduced appetite. Increased to regular 7 dosage and immediately side effects were extreme and awful. Constant significant nausea, abdominal discomfort, significant constipation, low energy. Almost no desire to eat, and if I did eat, even very little food caused even more discomfort that escalated. Food just sat in my stomach feeling heavy and sour. Heartburn and gas were constant. After just 5 days of a larger dose, I stopped the medication but with lingering side effects. After being off the drug for two days, I sustained immense abdominal pain like I have NEVER experienced that finally culminated in strange diarrhea. Too many intense and questionable side effects for me. Weight loss - by not being able to eat - not worth the escalating horrible side effects for me. I'll never take this drug again."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My side effects were bad burping and gas, extreme abdominal pain radiating into my back, headaches, extreme fatigue, and more. Three trips to the ER, one MRI, one ultrasound, and three CT scans, and the consistent diagnosis was 'everything looks perfect.' Very disappointed that an ER, GP, endocrinologist, and GI specialist all did not seem to recognize these drug side effects. I see the endocrinologist today and will discuss, looking for better options. I have had a horrible nine months. Very disappointed in both our healthcare chemists and industry in general."
