Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd injection today of Wegovy. Started at 234.5 pounds. Down 8 so far. I'm not sure it's all Wegovy, as I've been able to lose 40 lbs on my own 2 separate times, and I am still doing the things that gave me that success before. Eating close to 1200 a day calories, walking 10,000 steps a day, and lowering alcohol consumption. Still, I do believe it is helping me get a good start and get my mind right. The fear of the side effects is what is probably keeping me in line. So far though, I've only had headaches and fatigue a day or so after the shots. Otherwise, no other side effects, so I am pleased so far with how things are going."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "After 4-6 weeks, I still suffer various levels of intensities of nausea, but short-lived diarrhea, plenty of burping, and fatigue that is often overwhelming. Some days, no problems. I manage the symptoms by enduring until they ease up, or I may choose to seek fast relief using what's available. Its benefits are now close to 'tight control' and significant weight loss (overcoming the stagnant plateau of a period of weight loss)."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started with a 0.25mg dose once a week. I am on week 3 of taking it and already noticed a decrease in appetite and sporadic increase in feelings of nausea. I also have noticed that I get full quicker resulting in eating less. Bowel movements are no longer consistent and can vary in type. I have noticed that I have moments where I have no energy. In order to try and improve this, I have been drinking a little orange juice. I continue to drink a lot of water since I also take Jardiance, which will dehydrate you if one doesn't drink enough."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in April 2023 with a weight of 271 lbs. My current weight is now 233 lbs, and this weight loss is with minimum mobility. I started at the lowest dosage and am now on 2.4. I didn’t experience any symptoms until I reached 1.7, I felt nauseous and fatigued on the first day of injection, but after, I was fine. I definitely eat differently, I cut out the starches like potatoes and pasta, which gave me that overly full feeling, and I have never been a fan of snacks and sweets. I have a new love for fruits and veggies now, though, and I eat mainly protein and veggies. I feel like Wegovy helped me to live a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food choices. On occasion, I may get a craving for something a bit more hearty and treat myself, but Wegovy has definitely helped me to lead a healthier lifestyle as I approach my 40s."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began using Wegovy injectable semaglutide exactly 8 weeks ago today and have had very few symptoms, until the 7 1/2 week mark. At first, my nose ran continually, but that was somewhat manageable with Robitussin (recommended by the pharmacist) for the cough it caused. At dinnertime, at the 7 1/2 week mark, fatigue hit very hard. We were on a trip, and I could barely walk to get back to the hotel and fall in bed. This continued for 48 hours with no desire for food or drink, except ice water. I slept for 5 or 6 hours and awoke with a headache, which lasted the rest of the night. Strange because I do not get headaches. Thankfully, we were headed home at that point, and I slept in the car most of the day for two days. I am much improved and can function somewhat, but not back to normal yet. I am due to double my dose today, but the medication not available for a while due to high demand. Easy to use and have lost 10 lbs in 8 weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I experienced frequent headaches, fatigue, constipation, anxiety, mild depression, lack of interest in activities, aversion to alcohol, and dry mouth. I did have a 14-pound weight loss over 3 months. It is a slow and steady loss, which is reasonable."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy (2.4 mg) 5 months ago, weighing in at 417 lbs. Today I'm down 82 lbs. Not bad for no exercise and extreme dieting! Wegovy is NOT for the weak! My first dose almost canceled me completely out of the plan! I experienced severe nausea and vomiting the first 3 days, accompanied by fatigue. I felt horrible, but I chose to stick it out after I stepped on the scale and saw amazing results! After the first month, my vomiting stopped, however, if I ate anything that didn't agree with me, it would come up. I still experience nausea, for which I take Zofran to help keep it to a minimum. The most important thing I love about Wegovy is it makes me think about what I'm going to put in my mouth and if I'm even hungry. I have to remind myself to eat a little something, but most of the time I'm not hungry at all. Most of the time, I'll make a plate and only take a few bites, wrap it up for another time. If you are serious about losing weight, Wegovy is the way to go!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy February 28, 2022, at 257 pounds. July 28, 2022, at 205 pounds on the 2.4 ml dose. Side effects at low dose were headaches, stiffness, fatigue, indigestion. 2.4 dose caused extreme gas. Sometimes I stayed an extra month on a dose because of side effects, but you get used to them. Sometimes side effects come the next day or 5 days later. Completely stopped drinking alcohol because it makes me very sick while taking Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was placed on semaglutide for weight loss. I began with 0.25 mg once weekly week one, increased to 0.5 mg week two, at that point, I began to experience intermittent nausea. This was bearable, and I was still able to maintain my calories. I was down 8 lbs at the beginning of week three. Week three, I increased to 0.75 mg and had a lot of fatigue. I felt like I was a walking zombie for three days. I realized at that time that I was not eating enough calories and made a continuous effort to meet my protein goal, and the fatigue went away. I have now been on the medication for nine weeks. I have kept the dose at 0.75 mg (the suggested max dose is 2.5 mg), and I am losing 2-3 lbs a week. I feel great, and all the side effects have subsided. I am reading that they peak and subside around four weeks. The initial titration period can be rough, but this was so worth it for me as I had weight loss resistance for years. I will have my lipid panel drawn next week and hope for a reduction there as well."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Halfway through the 1.7mg dose. Been on for about 4.5 months. Have lost a total of 35 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down since on the 1.7 dose. Still losing but not as quickly as in the beginning. Have no real interest in food anymore. Sometimes have to eat when not hungry due to low blood sugar (had this prior to Wegovy use). Been trying to lose weight for months. Wegovy is the only thing to work for my obesity due to medical issues. Have noticed off and on fatigue, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, gas, belching, and hair loss. Can no longer eat fried, greasy food without feeling sick, which is good. Now I want healthy food instead."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking this medication now for 2 weeks and 1/2 for weight loss purposes, and I started with 1 mg recommended by my friend that lost 15 pounds with it in 2 months. Well, I got very nauseous, dizzy, and headaches, which got better in the 2nd week, but I feel very tired all the time, very low energy, and started having shortness of breath. I lost 5 pounds so far, and I'm still not feeling well. I do get full faster when I eat, but it has been very hard dealing with the side effects. At this moment, I'm not sure if I will go on with it or not. My inspiration is my son, who was 242 pounds and now is 205 after 1 month and 3 weeks of being on Ozempic. It has truly changed his life, and he is super happy, he calls it the miracle drug. I will keep you guys posted on my journey."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been trying to get my A1C down for the last few years. I’ve tried everything along with Synjardy, including the injectables. I’ve been on Rybelsus for about 3 weeks. I’ve noticed extreme fatigue and bouts of sadness, it usually kicks in a few hours after I take the pill and lasts pretty much all day. I did not see these side effects on the Rybelsus website, but this is the only thing that has changed is adding this pill. Otherwise, I’m tolerating it well. My daily numbers look good, I have my A1C checked next month. I use a manufacturer coupon to keep costs down because it’s not covered under my insurance."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "On the fence. Took my first shot of Ozempic .25 last Wed at the doc's office. I was nervous as I couldn't tolerate Metformin's side effects. But she reassured me this was gonna be the answer to my prayers, so I agreed to try it. First day I was fine, then they hit. Woke up feeling dizzy, nauseous, and shaky. My fasting blood sugar was 157. Lower than it's been in quite some time. Ozempic does its job. My BS has been managed quite well. I definitely don't have an appetite. Have to make myself eat and drink. Have very low energy. Tired all the time. Aside from that, it's the other side effects I'm having trouble living with. Waking up in the wee hours of the morning clammy with severe nausea, mild headache, and dizzy. But it's only been 6 days. The constant nausea, dizziness, and headaches are almost unbearable. Not sure if I'm gonna continue. If the effects are like this now, what are they gonna be with the increased dose? There's gotta be a better way!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I experienced severe stomach bloating and constipation after the first dose. I started injecting into the back of my arms and, with each subsequent dose, side effects lessen, though I still experience moderate nausea and fatigue after taking my weekly dose. On the positive side, my appetite has been reduced by at least 1/2, with 15 pounds lost. My fasting blood sugars are in the 80's and my post-meal levels rarely top 130. Even after eating small amounts of carbs, sugars fall to the nineties within an hour."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good. Six weeks on. Constipation's been an issue. Definitely has cut my appetite down, and I lost my taste for my weekend beer and have a glass of wine or two. Everything else has been fun. Little fatigue I’ve noticed, but hopefully I continue to lose weight."

Semaglutide "I have been taking Ozempic for five months, and I have lost 35 pounds. That’s the good part. I continue to have very bad fatigue, and when I upped my dose, I find myself nauseous and vomiting. I’m gonna continue taking it for a little while longer to reach my goal. So far, it has been worth it for me."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been injecting Wegovy for the past three months on a weekly basis. I am at the 1 mg dosage. I have been having brief dizzy episodes. These could be related to my Lisinopril dosage. I have had stomach upsets and fatigue, but no trouble with the injecting. I have lost 25 pounds since starting - 220 - 195 lbs. I have been able to tolerate the side effects."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Still early, so this may change as time goes on. I am currently taking 0.5, increasing after the next dose. In the beginning, I had stomach pain and sickness, but these symptoms died down after I learned to eat more protein and not to skip meals. Another thing that bothered me at first was fatigue. I could not keep my eyes open. I slept a lot, and if I had something to do that day, it took everything in me just to make it through the day. These symptoms also subsided after I stopped skipping meals. I would be lying if I told you my choice to start taking Ozempic wasn't to help me lose weight. That was one of the major selling factors for me. Anyone who knows anything about diabetes knows you do pack on the weight, and any help shedding those unnecessary pounds is a plus. I can't say I have lost a lot of weight yet, but with what little time I have been on Ozempic, I can see a decent decrease in my weight. As for my diabetes, my A1C will tell in time."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Light constipation for the first 3 days. I started to eat mostly a protein and vegetable diet with lots of water daily. I noticed a small amount of satiety the first evening. 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, 0.5 mg for 8 weeks. For the first 6 weeks, I struggled with fatigue and insomnia pretty badly. I had a little nausea. Still overeating occasionally, once or twice a week, pretty badly. Then I started the 1 mg doses. This is where I am now. Pretty good food satiety, finally, I am experiencing the cessation of most food noises. If this satiety continues, I will try to stay on this 1 mg dose. 14 weeks in and 23 lb weight loss. Started at 5’1” 192 lb - now 170 lb. I’m really working hard on maintaining a healthy diet and moderate exercise. I’ve been struggling with a food addiction my whole life. This has the potential to be life-changing."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "At 5'4" and weighing 176 pounds, in spite of exercising twice a day, I just could not kick-start weight loss. Started Wegovy on March 19 at the lowest dose (0.25 mg). Thus far, I have lost 11 pounds, slow is good! I continue to exercise, I just eat less with no snacking. Other than some dizziness, typically the day after an injection (now using 0.5 mg), and some afternoon fatigue at times, I have had no side effects! After reaching my goal weight of 135 pounds, I plan to taper off Wegovy. I so hope I can maintain the weight loss, I do not want to use the medication the rest of my life!"
