For Hyperhidrosis "I've had hyperhidrosis as long as I can remember. I've been on several diets hoping if I drop some weight I'll get better. It kept getting worse with age, of which now I'm 44 years of age. I have been sweating all over my body, even if the weather was cold. After discovering this on the net, I quickly went to see a doc for a prescription. It's been 4 days now, and I'm completely dry, dry except the side effect is a dry throat and mouth ... lil."

For Hyperhidrosis "You guys! I have to share my experience because this is life-changing (so far!). I have had issues sweating in my palms and feet ever since I was like 10. Now at 30, it has become almost debilitating with my career. I used to think I’d have to live with this forever, so I got used to it and concealed it. I have NEVER told anyone. Is that crazy? Until recently, I had to see my doctor because it seems during the summer it’s so much worse. She prescribed me oxybutynin, and after like 4 days, I am seeing a difference! A little clammy, but I am only taking one 5 mg tablet a day. I assume when I start 2 a day, it will completely decrease. The only side effects so far are dry mouth, I get sleepy earlier now, and a little bloody nose. It’s not cheap with my insurance, but I would pay more to get rid of this mortifying disorder! You guys must get this from your doctor if you are suffering. Don’t continue to be embarrassed by this! Hope this helps."

For Urinary Frequency "Oxybutynin has helped a lot with stopping me from needing to use the bathroom as much. But I have severe dry mouth and throat, my voice has become raspy even. Has that happened to anyone else taking this-having a raspy voice? Not sure if it's due to the very dry mouth and throat. I've been taking this medication for almost a year now."

For Hyperhidrosis "Fifteen years ago, I was desperate to find relief for my severe hyperhidrosis (hands and feet). I discovered oxybutynin, and it has literally changed the course of my life. I started with one 5 mg dose in the morning and one 5 mg dose at night. The side effects (drowsiness, foggy brain, dry mouth) were a little much for me, so I cut my morning dose in half. This medication has allowed me to feel like a normal person and to engage in activities that I used to withdraw from (public speaking, shaking hands, wearing flip-flops, etc.). I tried Botox (very little effect), acupuncture, drysol. Nothing has been nearly as effective as the oxybutynin. It's a game-changer!"

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "When the urge hit, I had to go right then. I was a slave to pads. Not very sexy. I had an innerstem put in, but it did not help. The mess prescribed did not work either. The only thing that literally freed me from pads is the patch. I did not have dry mouth. I can wait to go potty for 1 hour or longer now."

For Hyperhidrosis "I started taking this oxybutynin for hyperhidrosis due to a side effect caused by my medication, and it made me feel really strange. At first, it was great! The sweating stopped, but dry mouth sucked. Then this strange feeling started to come on, and I started feeling down, forgetting things, and feeling really vague and nauseous."

For Urinary Incontinence "Did no one else experience what happened to me? I started on Oxybutynin 5 mg twice a day (oral); there was a significant improvement in bladder control. I used less pads and thinner-type pads. HOWEVER, the side effect I experienced was exceedingly annoying: my nose stayed stuffed up constantly; I'd wake up with cotton mouth; lips cracked and bleeding from not being able to breathe through my nose. It took a large application of Vicks Vaporub into my nostrils; pouring hot water into them; holding hot washcloths on my sinuses for an hour at a time; and using inordinate amounts of saline sinus spray to finally clear my nose. When I stopped taking Oxybutynin, my nose became clear within a few days. Never again will I use Oxybutynin."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on oxybutynin for a couple of weeks now, and the results have changed my life!!! I no longer have any excessive sweating, I can wear any color shirt I want!!! I wanted to share how amazing this medication has worked for me because I struggled with hyperhidrosis for 24 years, and now I've found something that actually works... I do get a bit of dry mouth, but it's worth it not to be constantly sweating!!!"

For Urinary Frequency "I've been on the oxybutynin for 6 days now for an overactive bladder. A year and a half ago (11/17), I broke my pelvis in 2 places and my sacrum. In the beginning, I was unable to void on my own, and they prescribed me Flomax, which helped, but it made me so dizzy I stopped taking it. Fast forward to 2019, and my bladder spasms and urgency were increasing and making it really uncomfortable. So, after a UDS, my doctor decided to try me on oxybutynin. While it seems to help the spasms, it seems to make it harder to be able to start voiding. Like it relaxes it almost too much, when I try harder to void, it just leads to a spasm. That and the dry mouth, dry throat, dry eyes, and sinuses are really uncomfortable. Feeling like I need to constantly clear my throat is for the birds. I'm certainly going to take myself off of it. These side effects just aren't worth it."

For Urinary Incontinence "I had bladder surgery at the Tampa VA as an outpatient basis (you go home with a Foley catheter). I was given oxybutynin before and after surgery. On the drive home, my mouth was so dry I could not talk...almost went back to the hospital. Drank a lot of cranberry juice later that day, and it seemed to initiate salivation again..."

For Hyperhidrosis "This medication is great. I have been struggling with hyperhidrosis for as long as I can remember. Now that I’ve reached a point of maturity in my life, I now realize how much it was affecting my relationships, my social life, my style of dress, and career options. I have hyperhidrosis on my palms, feet, and underarms. Oxybutynin helps me stay dry even when I’m driving! My mouth is constantly dry, but I’ll take that over sweating. I still sweat a little on my palms and feet when it’s hot, but it’s not sweating profusely, and it goes away shortly after."

For Hyperhidrosis "So far, I've only been on oxybutynin for a week. No signs of sweating stopping as yet. I got put on 2.5 mg for 2 days before bed, then 5 mg for 2 days. Now I'm on 7.5 mg. I'll go up to 10 mg tomorrow and leave it there. Hopefully, it'll soon work. I do have a dry mouth, that's it at the moment. I've suffered with sweating for 20 years. I've had my family, etc. As I'm getting older, the sweating is knocking my confidence, as my face drips and my hair does. Sweating is all over, but I find it more embarrassing when it's my face and hair. Plus, in winter, I dress like it's summer. I'd rather freeze than sweat, but as soon as I come in from the outside, I sweat badly. I've just set up working for myself, and a couple of my customers have asked if I'm okay because of the sweat. I felt ashamed."

For Hyperhidrosis "I actually had the ETS surgery done about 12 years ago, and everything was fine until I started sweating all over my chair, back, legs, and inner thighs. It's so embarrassing living in FL dealing with this. It caused me to stop wearing any light-colored clothing (which I loved). As soon as I took my first half of the 5 mg, I noticed a relief. I did sweat a little being outside, however, I was not drenched. I took the other half before bedtime (as directed), and the only side effect I am noticing is the dry lips and mouth. But so worth it. I sure hope and pray that this is my lifelong solution!"

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "My son is 11 years old. He has had urinary incontinence all his life, and a doctor at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, found this problem. He is having him try oxybutynin CL ER 5 mg, and there is no more running and not making it. He has had a little dry mouth, but not complaining. Thank you for this new medicine."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered with excessive sweating for the past year or so. This is a long-term side effect of my duloxetine. I'm on 120 mg a day for pain management (peripheral neuropathy from having had Guillain-Barré syndrome) and my mood. I suffered terrible sweating on my back and chest and under my arms. I would arrive at work saturated. I would need to change my shirt 2 or 3 times in a day. I started on oxybutynin extended-release in February 2016, and the change has been amazing. I experience a number of side effects, mainly dry mouth, slightly blurred vision, and stomach and bowel problems, but in comparison to the sweating, I know what I prefer. It's made such a difference. I'm a UK resident."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "Using for bladder problems (inflexible bladder muscles). Lengthens the time between needing to go and stops the spasms while trying to hold on. Only the maximum dose really does much. Makes me drowsy and makes my mouth so dry it gets sore. It's better than nothing at all."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "Red, raised skin, itchy and uncomfortable reaction at each site to the adhesive that was lasting for a week - so not only site with a patch but also from the previous patch. Dry mouth, dizziness, and nausea, but yes, reduced need to run for the bathroom, just the side effects starting causing as many problems as it was meant to be solving."

For Hyperhidrosis "I am a 30-year-old, active, fit woman who has had sweating issues for as long as I can remember. Highly embarrassing. Been taking this for about 3 weeks now, and it has changed my life in a profound way. I never knew that I could be warm without buckets of sweat. I don't know that I've appreciated what cold feels like until now either because I've always been so tuned into the fact that I was wet with sweat - like I just came from the shower wet. Only side effects are a very dry mouth and nose. I've had a bloody nose a couple of times since starting. Worth the trade."

For Hyperhidrosis "After ten years of being brushed off by people I thought were dermatologists, I have finally found relief in this medication. As my career and age progressed, I have been placed in social situations that require hand-to-hand contact. My hands and armpits sweat constantly to the point they were dripping. It negatively affected all aspects of intimate encounters. Within a day of starting this medication, I saw results. I was given 5 mg, however, I notice that I must take it twice a day for a total of 10 mg. No side effects except dry mouth and itching dry eyes."

For Hyperhidrosis "I first noticed my excessive sweating in high school, and it was mainly triggered by social anxiety, but even the most minimal amounts of exercise (walking home from the bus stop after school) would leave me sweating more than most. It wasn't until this year that I started on this medication, and so far it has been amazing, I no longer worry about patches under my arms or between my thighs, I don't have to wipe my hands on my pants before shaking someone's hands, and I can do more in terms of movement before I start sweating. Side effects I've noticed are that my face goes red when I move a little more than normal-although that's mainly due to my level of fitness-and a dry mouth. It really has worked, and I'm so glad to have found a solution!"
