Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "Great product. I have been on other drugs that gave me back side effects - rash, itching, dry mouth, constipation, headache, dizziness, back pain, etc. I urinate on average 20-40 times a day, approximately every 15-20 minutes. After using the patch, I went as long as 2 hours without using the restroom. My skin is irritated and red, but it's better than spending my whole day in the bathroom. I can't believe my doctor didn't put me on this over-the-counter drug first before spending hundreds of dollars on prescription medications. I have suffered for over 30 years with the issue of urgency and frequency, this is a miracle for me. Praise the LORD."

For Urinary Frequency "I'm a big guy, so the PA started me out on 10 mg once a day. Worked like a charm within a couple of days. My urge to urinate went completely away. Life was great for about two weeks until I started having moderate/severe nausea/upset stomach around the clock. I considered the dosage being a little too high, so I kicked it back to 5 mg. The stomach upset-ness went down but not away. Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning with extreme dry mouth and a splitting headache. I'm probably gonna request a new med."

For Urinary Frequency "I am 21 and taking oxybutynin for an overactive bladder. It has made a world of difference, from peeing nearly every hour (or less) to now peeing every 3-4 hours. However, I suffer from mild nausea almost continuously from the medicine and headaches. For me, it is worth it, but for some, it may not be."

For Hyperhidrosis "I'm so grateful I read about Oxybutynin for hyperhidrosis on drugs.com. Three weeks ago, it has already saved me so much anxiety, discomfort, and embarrassment. I can't believe I can feel confident and comfortable in public now. THANK YOU! My crazy sweating began two years ago from opiate replacement therapy (an extremely common side effect of methadone and Suboxone). Even in winter, just grocery shopping left me covered in sweat, but since day two of Oxybutynin, NOT ONE BEAD OF SWEAT. I feel so lucky! I haven't tried exercising on it yet, but I'll update when I do. :) In addition to methadone 50mg, I take Lexapro, Norimin, Ritalin, and Seroquel 25mg, which would increase my side effects so far of dry mouth and three headaches, but small sacrifice!"

For Urinary Frequency "I took Oxybutynin 5 mg for 6 weeks for my overactive bladder. While it curbed that in great fashion, it created side effects that got worse and worse. I experienced drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, dry mouth, and blurred vision. I stopped taking this medication. One last note, if you take a depression med (in my case, Amitriptyline), those meds can actually increase these side effects, take this medicine with caution!"

For Urinary Incontinence "I’ve been taking this medicine for a month now, 5 mg slow-releasing one taken every other day. The medication does seem to work, but personally, I have been getting really bad side effects from it. I have been feeling really tired with headaches, plus not feeling my usual self, my memory doesn’t seem to be the same as it was, and it just leaves you with a fuzzy head. I’ve been back to doctors, and they have lowered my dose to 2.5 mg to try and said if no better, to come back."

For Hyperhidrosis "I've given this stuff a try a couple of times, and I'm surprised more people don't complain about the side effects! I didn't really notice a difference in dryness, but I sure felt terrible! I could barely function on this stuff: pressure headache, lethargy, and dizziness! I'm glad it works for some people; wish I was one of them!"

For Urinary Frequency "I started taking oxybutynin 7 days ago. It works fine (sort of). Don't get up 8-10 times per night. But I feel as if my throat and tongue have been sandpapered. I have difficulty swallowing. I have a headache that's resistant to painkillers. Blocked sinuses, very dry eyes. I also seem to have toppled into depression. Doubt whether my GP will believe all this. Don't want to stop the medication but will have to."

For Hyperhidrosis "I really wanted this to work for my hyperhidrosis; however, I only took 2.5 mg last night before bed, and today I have found the side effects intolerable: dry eyes, headache, drowsiness, lethargy, dry nose. So, unfortunately, I can't continue on and see if it's effective in reducing my sweating."

For Urinary Frequency "I have taken this for about 3 weeks and made it worse. I went from wearing little to no pad to wearing pads all the time. I can't bend over without peeing, and still sometimes the pads don't hold it all. I have stopped taking it and will go back to the doctor next month and see what he says. I will not take it anymore, plus it makes me sleepy, I am not able to sleep, and my head hurts all the time, and I could not remember things."

For Urinary Frequency "Just one of these tablets caused prickly dry eyes, dry throat, severe headache, and I never get headaches, and loose stool and had no effect whatsoever on my overactive bladder."

For Hyperhidrosis "I suffered from nervous sweats, and also found out that when I worked out, I would sweat way more than others. I know we have different sweat glands and levels of sweating, but I would always be drenched, and it seemed a little too excessive. The nervous sweats would happen at times you would not like it to happen, e.g., dinner parties, meeting new people. The annoying thing is that I'm not a nervous person, in fact, I'm quite sociable. It was like my body had a different reaction (sweating) to how I was actually feeling (confident, sociable, fine!). Since I've taken the medication, it's been a great success - no nervous sweats, etc. Even when I exercise, my clothing isn't drenched, just what I think it should look like in comparison to other people. I did have a very minor headache the first day I took the tablets, but can't say it was due to the medication. I've not experienced any other side effects, but I hope this post is helpful to anyone who had been struggling."
