For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on oxybutynin for a couple of weeks now, and the results have changed my life!!! I no longer have any excessive sweating, I can wear any color shirt I want!!! I wanted to share how amazing this medication has worked for me because I struggled with hyperhidrosis for 24 years, and now I've found something that actually works... I do get a bit of dry mouth, but it's worth it not to be constantly sweating!!!"

For Urinary Frequency "I've been on the oxybutynin for 6 days now for an overactive bladder. A year and a half ago (11/17), I broke my pelvis in 2 places and my sacrum. In the beginning, I was unable to void on my own, and they prescribed me Flomax, which helped, but it made me so dizzy I stopped taking it. Fast forward to 2019, and my bladder spasms and urgency were increasing and making it really uncomfortable. So, after a UDS, my doctor decided to try me on oxybutynin. While it seems to help the spasms, it seems to make it harder to be able to start voiding. Like it relaxes it almost too much, when I try harder to void, it just leads to a spasm. That and the dry mouth, dry throat, dry eyes, and sinuses are really uncomfortable. Feeling like I need to constantly clear my throat is for the birds. I'm certainly going to take myself off of it. These side effects just aren't worth it."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "I took 1 pill for a number of years, and it worked great! I thought it was a miracle. As the years went on, I had to increase to 2 pills. Again, it worked great for a long time, but now I am having the bladder spasms again. Guess I built up a tolerance to it."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I absolutely love this patch! Thank you for putting it back on the shelves! I am only 45 and had trouble since my hysterectomy several years ago. In fact, I was wearing a diaper to bed, not too sexy, I admit! These patches are awesome and have given me back my life! They do get less sticky in the shower, but I just face my body the other way. The stickies come off with no problem with Goo Gone or baby oil. Well worth it!"

For Urinary Incontinence "I had bladder surgery at the Tampa VA as an outpatient basis (you go home with a Foley catheter). I was given oxybutynin before and after surgery. On the drive home, my mouth was so dry I could not talk...almost went back to the hospital. Drank a lot of cranberry juice later that day, and it seemed to initiate salivation again..."

For Urinary Incontinence "Been on oxybutynin CL ER 15 mg tablets for 5 weeks. No improvement. I have to wear Depends with a pad because I leak that much. I just leak urine and I do not know it. No urge. Not from coughing or laughter. I just drip a lot all day long. It is so horrible."

For Hyperhidrosis "I was beginning to really lose hope in ever finding something that would stop my excessive sweating all over my body and then saw someone mention oxybutynin on a forum. I started on ProBanthine, but I didn’t react well at all and had a couple of instances where I felt close to fainting. I then asked to change to oxybutynin and was prescribed 5 mg tablets to be taken 4 times a day. The tablets have completely changed my life. The tablets can make you feel funny the first few weeks, but the side effects soon wore off. I still sweat slightly more than most during exercise, but it is much less than before. The main benefit is in day-to-day life, where doing normal things I no longer sweat. I would really recommend these for anyone struggling with excessive sweating. You may not see the results instantaneously, but stick with them and hopefully they work for you."

For Urinary Frequency "Was prescribed this medication for OAB, as my insurance didn't feel like covering anything else. Did not notice any improvement, but experienced fatigue, raspy voice, and difficulty voiding. My ability to sweat was reduced; after about two weeks, I completely stopped being able to sweat. As a person who lives in the south and routinely experiences 100+ degree weather, this was the last straw, and I am stopping."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "These patches have changed my life. Tired of wearing maxi pads that didn't do the job. Within 24 hours, these things worked. Couldn't believe it. I'm stockpiling them since I'm having trouble finding them for some reason. I'm going to be so unhappy if I can't find them."

For Hyperhidrosis "Been prescribed this oxybutynin only a week ago to take twice daily a dose of 2.5 mg (total 5 mg). I have had excessive sweating for years but had other health concerns that were more a priority. Only recently got around to discussing it. I've found this is working so far, but I am quite sensitive to all medications due to a slow metabolism (according to my psychiatrist), meaning I'm more prone to side effects. So I initially became really drowsy and felt quite strange in myself. I've also found myself feeling an unbearable sense of impending dread that I can't shift. I wonder if it is a side effect to be agitated or uneasy. Will need to weigh up pros and cons to see if I should continue treatment."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "The patch worked. However, the itching and inflamed skin was not tolerable. I wish I could bear it just to be relieved of the overactive bladder. I thought I would have a normal life. Now trying Toviaz."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I used 4 patches in 4 days because each morning when I got in the shower, the patch came off. That was a cost of $4 a day since I had paid $16 for the box. I called Merck (manufactures product) and was told they would send me a coupon or another box of patches. That was 4 weeks ago, and nothing yet. But I have decided not to use the product or recommend it to anyone."

Oxybutynin for Dysuria "This drug ruined my life. I was on a five-day course of 15 mg. An hour later, after taking this medication, I experienced an unusual taste in the mouth (metallic/bitter), foods tasted distorted (phantageusia), and now my tongue burns. I stopped taking the medication right after these side effects, and here I am now with lingering side effects since April 2018. These doctors never go into the side effects in depth but only the common side effects. After telling my doctor about this side effect, he acted like I was crazy. Never thought something like this could happen."

For Hyperhidrosis "Due to breast cancer, I’ve been taking hormone blockers for prevention. With any exertion at all, I had almost constant severe perspiration. Very embarrassing while cooking a meal for my family or trying to enjoy our patio. After only 2 days, I was normal! I’m so grateful to my radiologist for prescribing that medication. My life is transformed! I am experiencing dizziness. Hoping it gets better! But even that’s better than talking like I just got out of the shower all the time!"

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I had a very bad experience with Ditropan (Oxybutynin in tablets) with unacceptable side effects. After some years, my GP suggested a trial of Oxybutynin patches. That was the second best thing after sliced bread. Within 2 days, I went from up to 6 wetting incidents per 24 hours to 0, and in the following weeks, a substantial reduction in the leaking of urine. I have now used Oxytrol for 5 weeks, and the only side effect is severe constipation, which seems to be helped by changing the Oxytrol patch every 5 days instead of 3 or 4. I have no other side effects, no dry mouth, no sensitive skin where the patches have been sitting on either side of the body. So, I am a very satisfied user, no more large pads, nappies, PVC pants, just a normal size Tena pad."

For Hyperhidrosis "This medication is great. I have been struggling with hyperhidrosis for as long as I can remember. Now that I’ve reached a point of maturity in my life, I now realize how much it was affecting my relationships, my social life, my style of dress, and career options. I have hyperhidrosis on my palms, feet, and underarms. Oxybutynin helps me stay dry even when I’m driving! My mouth is constantly dry, but I’ll take that over sweating. I still sweat a little on my palms and feet when it’s hot, but it’s not sweating profusely, and it goes away shortly after."

For Hyperhidrosis "Since starting oxybutynin, I want to cry most days - cry tears of joy - I place my normally constantly sweating hands on things it would normally come away leaving puddles to find nothing. I can dry my hair without needing to put my fan on or wipe my armpits, face, or hands dry afterwards. It's the miracle I have been looking for ever since I began sweating at puberty. Warm weather, cold weather, any kind of excursion, anything, absolutely anything would set it off (I am now 32). I can finally wear t-shirts!!!! And tops that are not black, and jackets that are not black. Honestly, almost crying typing this, totally over the moon. I started on 2.5 mg twice a day but have just upped to 5 mg twice daily, hopefully, that will stop the sweating I still get on my back and feet. I am very confident the upping to 10 mg a day will do the job. Incredible, all I want to do is shout about it from the rooftops :) :) :). I can sit in the cold - NOT sweating... an absolute novelty. Amazing."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "Oxytrol gave me a life without looking for the closest bathroom in a panic. I can now control my urge long enough to get to a bathroom. Only problem is it's hard to find. No longer on shelves at stores."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I have been using the patch for about 3 years now. I have issues sometimes with the patch not sticking. If I clean my skin well with alcohol first, that helps. On occasion, I use medical tape around the edges. Overall, it sticks fine. I switch between hips. For me, that is the best area. I do on occasion experience an itchy redness, but the patch is still worth the minor occasional discomfort. I find this happens if any water gets under the patch. I had urinary urgency to go to the point I do a pee-pee dance. The patch has resolved this issue, and I no longer have accidents. If I get a cold or flu, I pee a ton when I sneeze. This is when I have to have a pad or a pull-up. Still, for every day, not sick times, the patch has improved my quality of life. I started using the patch at 46. I am 49 now. I did notice if I take an antihistamine for allergies, I have to be careful how much I take. The antihistamine seems to weaken the effect of the patch."

For Hyperhidrosis "So far, I've only been on oxybutynin for a week. No signs of sweating stopping as yet. I got put on 2.5 mg for 2 days before bed, then 5 mg for 2 days. Now I'm on 7.5 mg. I'll go up to 10 mg tomorrow and leave it there. Hopefully, it'll soon work. I do have a dry mouth, that's it at the moment. I've suffered with sweating for 20 years. I've had my family, etc. As I'm getting older, the sweating is knocking my confidence, as my face drips and my hair does. Sweating is all over, but I find it more embarrassing when it's my face and hair. Plus, in winter, I dress like it's summer. I'd rather freeze than sweat, but as soon as I come in from the outside, I sweat badly. I've just set up working for myself, and a couple of my customers have asked if I'm okay because of the sweat. I felt ashamed."

For Hyperhidrosis "It is amazing to read these testimonials. I suffered greatly in my teens. I am now in my 60s. Gradually over the years, it got better. But I can remember ruining leather shoes in less than a year. I stopped going to church, fearful of the handshake for the sign of peace. It only made my shyness worse. I used Mitchum and dress shields padded with folded paper towels. Unbelievable. I am glad there is a product now for it."

For Hyperhidrosis "I actually had the ETS surgery done about 12 years ago, and everything was fine until I started sweating all over my chair, back, legs, and inner thighs. It's so embarrassing living in FL dealing with this. It caused me to stop wearing any light-colored clothing (which I loved). As soon as I took my first half of the 5 mg, I noticed a relief. I did sweat a little being outside, however, I was not drenched. I took the other half before bedtime (as directed), and the only side effect I am noticing is the dry lips and mouth. But so worth it. I sure hope and pray that this is my lifelong solution!"

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I've had incontinence for some time, but it got to where the urge would hit so hard that I couldn't move until the urge passed and I could get to the bathroom. I went to the doctor, and she put me on Oxybutynin. It may be all in my head, but I swear only one 5 mg pill already has worked. I didn't have that extreme urge when I got up from a nap, like I did before. I still had the urge, but not as severe. Time will tell."

For Hyperhidrosis "Thank goodness for a diagnosis! And oxybutynin. The truth is I have hypothyroidism, which gives me terrible temperature fluctuations. I can be cold, then I can be hot, and so on. I also have fibromyalgia, which is an autoimmune disease. And the last annoying temperature changer is Raynaud's. Another pesky temperature changer that affects your nose, fingers, and toes. I told my doctor about my reading about oxybutynin and how it treats temperature changes. I started on 5 mg of oxybutynin, that was a little too much for me. So I take 2.5 mg in the morning, and I'm good for the day. I dripped, changed clothes three times a day, sweated at night, and now I'm free."

For Urinary Incontinence "I've been on this medication for over one year, 10 mg twice a day. I had prostate surgery, and heavy leaking started almost immediately. My age is 71. My wife started noticing that I was forgetting things, hands were shaking more. I would get nausea, gastric upset, and reflux. Nervous and anxious. Still wearing Depends and pads. On top of it all, it didn't help my bladder. Doctor is taking me off and redoing sphincter surgery for leaking. This didn't work for me."
