For Hyperhidrosis "Have had excessive sweating since puberty. Any change in outside temp on skin, exertion, stress, etc. brings on a large drop of sweating throughout my hair, face, and neck so bad that I look like I just came out of a shower with my clothes on, except that the drops just keep on dropping. My hyperhidrosis stems from thyroid disease, lupus, type II diabetes, high-dose prednisone, fibromyalgia, stenosis, severe sciatica, and extreme pain to name just a few of my ailments... But I live with these things - they're manageable. But the sweating is horrendous. People kept asking me if I needed help because I look like I'm having a heart attack. My endo put me on oxybutynin 5mg/2 day 3 weeks ago, and for the last 3 weeks I barely sweat. Now instead of sweating, I'm crying tears of joy! Yes, my side effects include dry mouth, skin, and eyes; dizziness; weakness; sleepiness; but all these are manageable. I can go out in public again! Get out amongst the living, so to speak! Get dry... Get happy. Good luck."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on Oxybutynin for hyperhidrosis since September of 2013. It has changed my life. I went to Mexico this past December and was amazed at how much less sweating I had. Prior, I was becoming a recluse as it was so embarrassing to go out in public. My air conditioner ran non-stop all summer! Every now and then I 'break' out in a sweat, but it is mild and not a big deal. The one side effect I have with it is that after taking 2 x 5mg a day I get extremely tired and feel kind of like I am 'out of it'. I now take it at bedtime, as it actually helps me fall asleep quicker (I had terrible insomnia as well). Mouth is very dry, but it has forced me to increase my water intake, which is good anyway. This is such a relief!"

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "For two years urologists tried six different pill-form medications to try to help me with my 24/7 discomfort, pain, bladder spasms and need to use the bathroom a dozen or more times daily. It was horror, and nothing came close to helping until I was finally given the Oxytrol patch. Over a period of less than one week, it was as if my life was given back to me. Period. I was able to visit places without stopping to 'go' continually, again we enjoyed marital intimacy, and I no longer went sleepless or suffered terrible pain-- or a single side-effect. Thank you for your joint efforts in the launch of this medication. You have given many back a Life. I will be glad to boast your praises anytime, anywhere--for free."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I have had the patch on for 24 hours, don't even know it is there. I cannot believe its effectiveness. The constant urge to urinate is gone! I have no feeling that I will have an accident and I don't have to visit the bathroom constantly to make sure my bladder is empty! My bladder actually feels calm. All other methods I have tried were failures right from the onset of use."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "I recently started using the patch. I have had to wear a pad every day prior to using it. I'm only on day 6, second patch, and I feel like my life has changed. I can walk, exercise, even sneeze, and have no problem. I was concerned about the adhesive because I have allergies and sensitive skin, but I haven't had an issue. I place the patch on my lower abdomen off to the side. I removed the excess adhesive with baby oil and q-tips. It came right off. I'll definitely keep using this product."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "Okay. I've been using this for a few months now, and it's changed everything for me. It started working right away for me - I went to dinner with friends on the second night I had this on, and didn't have to go to the restroom once. Then, I walked around a park for a while with no urge. I got home before I even had to pee. AND I DRANK BOTH WATER AND COLA at the restaurant. I notice it starts to lose its effectiveness over time, sometimes well before the 4 days. Not sure if that's because of the chosen locations or what. Now and then, I take a week-long break altogether... Then try again and it works again. I guess I build up resistance over time and it needs to be reset. I use a waterproof bandage adhesive over the top of the patch to keep it on."

For Hyperhidrosis "I lived in Southeast Asia. Basically, it is summer all year round over here. I have been suffering from craniofacial hyperhidrosis since young. The condition got progressively worse over the years, especially in the last three years. It has affected my personal life, my career, and my psychological state of mind. Because I was so afraid of sweating, I developed social anxiety. Earlier this week, I decided to seek help for it and I found Oxybutynin as an oral treatment for HH. By the second day of taking it, my sweating was reduced by 70%. On the third and subsequent days, I have been basically sweat-free. It has been years since I last felt this good! I regained my confidence, became more sociable, got my career back on track, and got my life back."

For Urinary Frequency "I started taking oxybutynin a year and a half ago. I was constantly getting up every hour all night long and getting very little sleep. I am now able to sleep 4 to 5 hours and not have to run the minute I wake up into the bathroom. It has been such a relief. The lack of sleep has been going on for 4 years and was just getting worse. Yes, I do get a little bit of dry mouth, but some of my other medications have that same side effect, so I just use Biotene to solve that problem. I wish I had known about this drug years ago. Mine is a prescription in New York State and it is covered by Medicare and is very reasonable."

For Hyperhidrosis "21 years of age and I have been suffering with palmar hyperhidrosis from being in primary school. As I've gotten older, it has spread to other parts of my body, which makes this condition even more embarrassing. After going to the doctors and being given Driclor (which does not work) and being told there is nothing else they can do, I gave up all hope and thought, well, that's it, I'm going to suffer with this forever. Until one day I decided to look deeper online and I found this website and read the reviews of Oxybutynin - I booked an appointment with my doctor straight away and asked him to prescribe this medication - 10 days after I'm hyperhidrosis free. I still cry now, the sweating has stopped completely. Highly recommend!"

For Urinary Frequency "This medicine will ruin your bladder. I'm dealing with the adverse side effects. I had urine frequency, after taking this medicine, I couldn't pee anymore. I have so much urge to pee, but very little comes out. Please, if you love your body, avoid this medicine. Other side effects are sore throat and extremely dry mouth. Not worth it."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "I want to thank Merck and its scientists that developed this patch, and I am so glad it is over the counter now. I have worn the patch for one month now. I am on my second box and will be purchasing a third and so on... Oxytrol has changed my life back to normal. No more standing up and urine flowing out uncontrollably anymore. No more 12-15 trips to the bathroom a day. I travel, and now I can drive for 2-3 hours at a time without stopping for a bathroom. Now I change the patch on day 4. I did try to hold out for the 4th night, and while I did not have the urgency problem, I did have to urinate more frequently than if I go four days and three nights. The adhesive problems and the crinkling, I DON'T CARE, better than a diaper."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Incontinence "I am 23 years old and dealing with a couple types of incontinence. Before I talked to my doctor about it, I came across these in my grocery store. I bought them on a whim and tried them out. It works really well, no more leaking or stress incontinence. Within 12 hours, I was no longer running to the bathroom. The only side effect I have is some constipation. A change in diet and laxatives seem to help. The patch is rather uncomfortable at times, but I'm still experimenting with placement. I change it every 4 or 5 days because the adhesive comes off after a while, usually in the shower. I'd like to see a better material, but I'm content for now. It's a lot better than taking a pill every day."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "For me, it took two patches, but on the fifth day they really started working! I am 63 and have had trouble with overactive bladder for the past ten years, off and on. It gets worse depending on what I ingest, food and medication wise. I am now in the bathroom every couple of hours instead of every half hour and always feeling the urge like I was. It's wonderful. Thanks for this product!"

For Hyperhidrosis "I started taking oxybutynin 2 weeks ago after years of suffering from head and facial sweating. I asked my doctor if I could try it to see if it helped with my sweats. I am so glad that I did. What a difference it has made, sweats are totally gone. Yes, I do have a very dry mouth, but it's a small price to pay. I know this medication does not work for everyone, but thankfully it worked for me."

For Hyperhidrosis "I've been on methadone maintenance for 5 years. Shortly after starting, I quickly realized it was making me sweat profusely on my face and neck. The sweating would start if I exerted myself any amount or was in the smallest amount of heat. I read about methadone-induced hyperhidrosis, and I tried the vitamins and other treatments. Nothing worked, ever. One day I came across a study that found oxybutynin had a dramatic effect on some people's hyperhidrosis, so I said why not try it. I was absolutely shocked on the first day. I use the patches, and a few hours after applying, I was not sweating, and I realized it while out in the heat of summer. I was so happy. I've been using them now for 2 years, and I'll never stop. You can buy the patches at Walmart, Rite Aid, or on Amazon. The patches are Oxytrol. They stay on for 3 to 5 days."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on this medication for about a month and I am so thankful for it! I am on another medication that causes me to sweat excessively; so bad that it was interfering with my daily life. My doctor wrote me a script for oxybutynin 5mg and it has worked so great to help me not sweat so much. I don't have bladder issues, but it's great for people who have major sweating problems!"

For Hyperhidrosis "I have hyperhidrosis and started oxybutynin. It has literally given me back my life! I wasn’t even able to go to the grocery store in the middle of winter without my head and hair being drenched in sweat!! I only wore a light sweater over a tank top!! It’s summer now, and I can go outside with my grandson and daughter without passing out from sweat. I’m so thankful I was put on this medication!!"

For Hyperhidrosis "I was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis about 20 years ago and tried everything they had available at the time to get it under control. Nothing worked well enough to offset the side effects I was having, so I waited until I was 14 to have a sympathectomy. That worked pretty well on my hands and feet but really only pushed the sweating to my stomach, back, and thighs. At the time, oxybutynin was never used for sweat, but I was willing to try anything my doctor suggested. It worked surprisingly well, and I am still taking it 15 years later. I recommend it to everyone who will listen."

For Hyperhidrosis "What a difference oxybutynin has made to my quality of life. I started developing symptoms of craniofacial hyperhidrosis (sweating) around 10 years ago in school. I would sit there in class and start to panic that I might suddenly burst out sweating. This continued for the next 10 years and made social situations really awkward, and my anxiety grew with this. I would turn to alcohol as much as possible to try and remain calm, as I just knew the slightest trigger would set me off. This disease has had such a negative impact on my life, and I took it upon myself 12 months ago to do everything I could to get some relief. I started with the Driclor and then even had Botox, none of which worked. I finally found oxybutynin for sweating through this forum and got prescribed it from the doc. What a difference to my life it has made, and the sweating has almost completely stopped. Highly recommend this drug to anyone that suffers from this disease, and the dry mouth subsides after a few weeks."

Oxybutynin for Urinary Frequency "It definitely helps with 'urgency' - I can now hang on for a while (up to an hour), whereas before I had to go immediately. My main concern with it is a feeling of vagueness and slight difficulty focusing mentally, starting around an hour after I take it and lasting 2-3 hours. It seems to be increasing. I am concerned enough about this that I am considering stopping Ditropan. Another side effect is a dry mouth. I need to have frequent sips of water, and the dryness wakes me up 2-3 times a night."

For Hyperhidrosis "I am a 55-year-old woman who has suffered from sweaty hands and feet for as long as I can remember. Also, the icy feet and hands while still sweating. It's been a lifelong struggle. I've tried everything over the years, and nothing worked. About a year ago, I watched an episode of 'Diagnose Me'. Long story short, she suffered from hyperhidrosis. The cure is Oxybutynin. It's a bladder control medicine, but for me, it's a lifesaver. I have warm, dry hands and feet 95 percent of the time. It's changed my life."

For Urinary Frequency "I started oxybutynin 5 mg 3 times a day two months ago for bladder control due to MS. Previously, I had been on Tolterodine, but when I went on Medicare, they did not want to cover it at first. However, I got an exception to use it, but still decided to try oxybutynin because it cost $2 compared to $163 a month for the Tolterodine. The oxybutynin does help with the frequency of needing to urinate, however, the side effects I experienced have made me decide to go 'cold turkey' for a while and see how I get along. I had a dry mouth, dry skin, and unusually dry and cracked fingertips, gas, loose bowels, heartburn, bloating, and burping. Additionally, when I did have to urinate, I had a hard time getting started and making sure my bladder was empty. That could be a combination of MS symptoms and drug side effects, but I did not have that feeling on Tolterodine."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered with severe hyperhidrosis (palmar, plantar, and axillary) since birth and was diagnosed at a very young age when I broke out with a heat rash all over my hands and feet. Thankfully, I have outgrown the rashes but unfortunately not the sweat. I have tried Drysol, Iontophoresis, Botox injections, Glycopyrrolate, and Oxybutynin (as well as extended-release versions of the last two medications). I feel safe to say that two 5mg tabs of Oxybutynin at nighttime has worked best for me. I have been taking Oxybutynin since 2005--nearly 10 years now and it still is holding up pretty well. Side effects that I experience: dehydration, dizziness, and weakness."

For Hyperhidrosis "I've had hyperhidrosis for about 8 months. It's been gradually getting worse and worse. By the way, I'm 42 years old. The slightest heat, like in a car, or the slightest exertion, even in the cold, I am drenched in sweat on my chest, back, head, and groin. I started oxybutynin about 5 days ago. It seems to be working somewhat, but definitely not a total fix. I am highly tolerant to medications. Possibly, I need a little bit more than 5 mg. Anyway, hopefully, it gradually gets better. Thanks for letting me share!"
