For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After putting on the cream, everything started burning. I was confused, I thought that it was my YI getting worse, but as the night went on, I landed on the conclusion that it was actually the Monistat. I powered through it and decided I was going to leave it on, thinking the pain would subside. I woke up at 5 a.m., and I was still in pain from the itching and burning. I decided to wash my cooch to take off all the medication so it would stop burning me, and to my surprise, it didn’t stop when I washed it off. I immediately started to Google "burning sensation with Monistat" and found this site with all the hilarious stories. I drew a warm bath, got in the tub, and laughed at all the things I was reading, meanwhile, my cooch was submerged in the warm water. After, I got some ice, put it inside a Ziploc, and rested it on top of my meow meow. That really seemed to do the trick for me. So yeah, it burns like fire, but it did at least take away the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE!!! My doctor told me to use this because I had itching, and she thought it was a yeast infection. I immediately had SEVERE burning and itching in my vagina and around it. It was so excruciating I had to claw out the cream in the shower. I’m now sitting in bed with an ice pack. I talked to a gynecologist on the phone, and they said some people have a bad reaction to the medication. Looking at these reviews... I think a lot of people have bad reactions. I would definitely not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Being a woman is hard, man. But I would not have gotten through the intense burning and itching if it weren't for everyone's comments. Y'all are really helping me get through this. I'm on day 1 of the 7-day process, and yes, it's really intense and painful, but it goes away in about 30-45 minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first time treating a yeast infection. I got the 3-day cure... Let me tell you... This burned so bad I had to take a bath to rinse it all out. I was on the tail end of my YI, it was clearing up by itself. And this burning and itching hurt 10x more than the infection itself. I almost started crying."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat 3 years ago, and it gave me quick relief. I just got a yeast infection, and my fiancé bought me the 7-day dosage. I was so excited to use it before bed, and as soon as the applicator came out of me, I felt intense burning and itching. I can’t help but cry and pace all over my house. I stuck a tampon inside to suck most of it up, finally, I had to just get into the shower and wash it out of me. It feels like a bunch of red ants biting me inside. This is the worst thing ever. I’d rather feel my yeast infection than this. I want my money back!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first yeast infection, and I decided to try Monistat 7. Today is my first night trying it, and as soon as I inserted the cream inside my lady parts, I started to experience this horrible itching and burning. My yeast infection didn’t even feel as bad as it did after I inserted the cream. What?? I’m now lying here, the pain is slightly better, but barely, and I’m trying to fall asleep. It is 2:12 in the morning. I am so annoyed. Still trying to decide if I want to continue the 7-day treatment or throw that stuff in the garbage."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oof... that's what I keep saying to myself in bed while my vagina screams at me. This stuff burns. I used the Monistat 3-day. I'm on day 3. For the love of all that is good, this had better work. I have used Monistat in the past, and while always messy and gross, never felt like this. My doctor friend recommended boric acid, which I'll try next time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My doc gave me a pill but said that if I needed instant relief, to get something like Monistat. A few of my friends have used it and said it was fine, so I thought it couldn’t hurt. My doc recommended just using it on the outside, not to insert it, warning me it could sting coming out. I did that and let me tell you I've been furiously rinsing myself in cold water for the last 20 minutes, begging for it to stop burning. The burning is 10x worse than the burning of the YI. This is awful."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm currently on day 3 of the 7-day, and I feel the worst pain coming from my vagina. I was recommended this product by a nurse, and I want to scream at them for even suggesting this was a good idea. Although my initial irritation from the yeast infection has minimized, the pain that this product causes is far worse. I'm praying that I feel some relief in the morning because I cried as if my vagina was being ripped apart by the dogs just now. I'm sitting here, and it's still burning to the point I have to keep my legs open for some type of relief. My eyes are still watering, and I'm contemplating taking a baby wipe and getting this stuff off me just so I can put some coconut oil down there instead. Seriously, none of these reviews are joking at the intense amount of pain this product produces. Why is it that we are forced to endure this?! I bet you a man created this product because I damn sure don't believe any woman did. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat products for years. I have a compromised immune system, so I have battled YIs many times. Rewind about 2 weeks, my OB (I am 25 weeks pregnant) recommended Monistat 7 for a vaginal YI. I was eager to use it since it has worked so well before. Within 2 minutes of inserting the cream, I was on fire. I could not stay still. Felt like 50,000 fire ants inside of me. I tried to tough it out but couldn’t. I ended up trying to wipe and rinse as much out as possible. Here I am again 2 weeks later with the worsened YI. They encouraged me to try the Monistat again since I had 6 doses left at home. I agreed. And I regret it ENTIRELY! This time seems even worse. I lasted an hour and couldn’t handle it anymore. Got out what I could - I’m still burning a little but it’s bearable now. The YI itself never bothered me this bad. I am NEVER EVER using Monistat products again! NEVER! Unfortunately, I cannot take Diflucan because I am pregnant."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First time using Monistat eggs and external cream. Got to this page as I was trying to see if it was only me who suffered like crazy when the internal cream came out. Couldn’t sleep at night for 3 hours as it was burning and itching like I had never experienced before. Can’t believe this product is approved... please avoid and see doctor or pharmacist for other alternatives."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product for my yeast infection because I did not want to go to the doctor and be put on medications that would mess me up even worse. I have not had a yeast infection in a year. I used this product, and it worked for the first 2-3 hours, then BOOM, the burning began, and mainly it burned because the cream began to slide out of my vagina. I tried to shower it off me, but it didn’t help much. Woke up the next morning to a CHEMICAL BURNED vagina!! This is not RIGHT. If anyone is experiencing a rash or chemical burn on their outer vagina, then you know what caused it: THIS PRODUCT. My vagina is ruined. This product needs to be taken off the market. I gave it a 2 out of 10 because it did stop the itching, but it did not stop the burning from the chemical burn I have on the outer area of my vagina entrance and vagina lips."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used this in the past with no issues at all. No burning, nothing. This time, OMG... it’s like someone lit a fire inside of me. I tried to lay here and let it pass, hoping that it meant it was just working, but I had to get up after 10 min and wash it out. I’m still burning a little (couldn’t get it all out), but I feel better. So, just because it hasn’t burned in the past doesn’t mean it won’t the next time. I have a Diflucan pill that I’m going to start tomorrow. I just thought this would feel good and cool my insides. Wrong!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My doctor said I had a mild yeast infection that would probably go away on its own, but if I wanted faster results, use Monistat. So I just applied it, and when I tell you I experienced one of the worst, more unbearable burning pains I’ve ever felt, I’m not joking. I had to frantically get in the shower and do my best to get it out. Please, please, please don’t use this medicine. Don’t even take the risk, it’s NOT worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've been using Monistat for a while now. The pro about it is, it's most definitely effective at removing a yeast infection. Whether you use the 1, 3, or 7-day treatment, it's good at what it does. I'll give it that. One BIG con, and I mean big, is the side effect. Most of the women on here know what side effect I mean—and that is the persistent, and painful burning sensation that keeps you awake at night. There's barely any relief for it unless you wait patiently or have a high pain tolerance. Next, is the itchiness. Some say that it depends on how severe the infection is— which I feel is only partially true. I had a pretty mild yeast infection, and the medicine still produced the same annoying itching, and burning that lasted for what seemed like hours. So truthfully, I believe it depends on the person. Like I said, it's great for treating the infection, but horrible for instant side effect relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "⚠️ Warning! This burns! I might have to sue. I used this several times in the past, and it was fine, but this time I used Monistat 7, and the first few doses were fine. But by the fourth night, I had itching and burning that I didn’t have before. After stopping the suppositories, I had much irritation and burns every time I pee. I cry a lot! They must have changed their formula, and don’t use this product!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh goodness, like everyone else, I had the burning and stinging. I know this probably isn’t what a doctor would recommend, but if you use a tampon, it soaks a lot of it up so the burning stops some. It was the only thing that helped me during the horror."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, ladies. It’s 4:27 am, and I want to take my vagina and flip it inside out and wash it. The burning and itching are worse than childbirth. I have been pacing and doing Lamaze breathing for the past 39 minutes. If I didn't read these comments, I would have gone to the ER and explained my vagina to those poor nurses that don't need my vagina problems. Lord have mercy, why is this product available to be inserted into somebody’s vagina? I wish I would have never done this to my poor vag. Way worse than Yi. Don’t do it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "What the? I thought this Monistat would make my yeast infection feel better, but it burns so bad! My vagina is literally on fire. How is this supposed to help? I don’t know how I am supposed to keep using it for the next 6 days... :( (using 7-day cream)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you love yourself and your cooch, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! I have used Monistat 7 and 3 in the past with no ill side effects. Well, I’m sure they’ve made some adjustments to their ingredients or something because after inserting the medication, I immediately felt a burning, itching kind of pain that had me flailing my legs in the air, all while fanning my lady parts with my hands and breathing as if I were giving birth all at the same time. Not only were my lady bits on fire, but I was sweating so bad my husband had to hurry and toss me in the bathtub while aiming the shower head at my vag. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I got my first yeast infection, yay! So my boyfriend took me to the store for meds. I used day 1. I didn't have much itching or burning the first day I used it, but the next morning I woke up to a nasty mess and my outer and inner vagina burning and itching. The swelling and redness are horrible. I've tried cold packs, cold showers, warm showers, tea tree oil, and everything. And the cream doesn't seem to help. I'm scared of doctors, but I'm thinking about seeing one for this. I was also taking amoxicillin before this, so that could've been the issue."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 3 and only put some of the cream on because my YI was just starting, and oh my goodness, DO NOT. I am so sorry for the ladies that actually inserted this inside of them. I've given birth, and it was less painful. This felt like my sensitive bits were ON FIRE. I've used similar products before and never had this reaction. I don't know why they included something like icy hot in the ingredients, but they need to not."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG! I wish I would have read these comments before I used this product. What is really going on with this product? I have used it before, maybe 3-4 times. NEVER!!! Have I experienced the burning/irritation like I did this time. Whew! A cool towel and coconut oil helped calm things down. Ladies, be safe and don’t use this. My life flashed before my eyes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible burning every time I use the external cream. My infection was barely itchy or uncomfortable, but I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got worse. This is the worst 'cause it burns and swells so bad from the medicine. I think I have chemical burns. My sister says the same thing about yeast infection creams. The infection is gone, though!!! Good God."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The box said mild itching/burning sensation. This pain is beyond mild. I inserted the Monistat 1 before bed thinking I was going to sleep while it did its thing, well, I was completely wrong! The itching and burning were so uncomfortable that I had to go push it out. And even then it didn’t stop. My vagina would’ve been better off with the YI vs. whatever this is I’m going through. I wish I found these reviews before using it. My vagina is melting off, and icing the area does not help. This product is horrible! Do not use! This deserves a zero and needs to be removed from shelves."
