For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first yeast infection ever, and I bought the 3-day Monistat cream. The first day was absolutely fine, I had no bad experiences with the first day, but today it’s now the day after I did the second one. It burns so badly. I know everyone doesn't like the burning, but it means it’s working. I really don't like this, and it hurts so bad, but hopefully, it’ll be worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, right off the bat, this is kind of an unusual review as I witnessed my girlfriend use this product and immediately turn into this raging monster. To top it all off, as any guy would do, I made the mistake of asking her if it is really that bad. Boy, should I have not said that! I have never in my life seen her more pissed off, angry, and amused all at the same time. To make up for all these comments, I got on my laptop ASAP and luckily found this website with so many hilarious reviews. I read these out loud to her, and it seemed to calm her down. Now, to reiterate what she described this experience as: 'It burns like icy hot in my little pinky. It feels like someone sprinkled pepper and is rubbing it in every corner, everywhere, and while this is happening, a swarm of bees also stung me down there. It feels like my vagina has never been this swollen before. I wanna cut it off.'"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please do not buy this. I wish so badly that I read these reviews before buying the Monistat 3-day treatment. I'm still shaken up. Not even a minute after inserting the first treatment, I felt a burn that I had never felt down there before. I tried for about a minute to see if it would subside, but once I was in tears, I ran to the bathroom and did as much as I could to get this lava cream out of my vag. It still burns, but not as bad since I got a good amount of it out. Tomorrow I'm calling my doctor, which is what I should have done in the first place, but I figured since I had one yeast infection before and knew what it was this time, I could go without prescription antibiotics and just do the OTC treatment. I was wrong. Please do not buy this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don’t normally deviate from what I know works, and this time I wish I would have stuck to my gut. I went to the store, and every other brand of YI applications was sold out! All except six full rows of Monistat! That should have told me something there, but I was desperate. Next time I won’t be. I literally thought I did something horribly wrong! The burning nearly took me out! I was at the point of yelling for my husband to take me to the emergency room before the burning/itching finally started to subside. Moral of the story: do NOT get this if you have a low pain tolerance. You’ve been warned, lol."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I noticed symptoms of a YI and went to get Monistat 3, a product I’ve used before that has worked for me. A minute after it was inserted, it burned like no other, this unbearable pain that had me calling my mom in tears. I showered it out as much as possible, but my vagina still has a leftover burn. Something must be new in their formula because it worked so well before. DO NOT USE!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I also think the formula has changed. Used before, but this time woke up in the middle of the night in horrible pain from burning and itching. I had a mild yeast infection. I have a high pain tolerance, but this has been a nightmare. Won’t use again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used the generic 7-day with success. Wish I hadn't decided to try Monistat 3-day cream. I am burning inside, and it's worse than the infection itself. Will be going back to 7-day after I douche. This stuff is awful and should be taken off the market. I feel like I inserted battery acid instead of medicine in my vagina. Will not be completing the 3-day treatment, nor will I ever buy another Monistat product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on day 2 currently, and I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my life. The burning sensation that comes within minutes after inserting is literally unbearable. I want to scratch out my vagina. I kept it in for about 20 minutes until it got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. I got out as much as I could, but I’m still currently in extreme pain. I’m NEVER buying this again. Avoid this at all costs unless you want to go through this yourself."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "All I can say is this product burns so badly, but holy mother does it work! I tried so many different creams and pills to make my yeast infection, of 2 months, go away. I was starting to lose hope until a pharmacist recommended it to me, and wow, did it burn and sting for like an hour, but it’s all worth it in the end!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I self-diagnosed myself with a yeast infection after a couple of searches on Google. I had the mildest of itchiness, but my discharge definitely gave it away. After three days, I decided to try Monistat 1, the ovule kind. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I had no trouble. I didn’t know what to expect after reading some horror stories in the reviews. A few hours in, I felt a very, very small burning sensation, I was self-conscious about the burning, otherwise, I really don’t think I would’ve noticed. I put on a panty liner and went out that same night. It’s been five days now, with normal discharge and no itchiness at all. I highly recommend this product. Don’t be scared away by reviews, we are all different!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used this before, and it was always great. I've not had a YI in 10 years until now. I got the 3-day. 1st day, definitely made the itch a billion times worse and burned so bad. I thought it was just the medicine working. It sucked, but I mean the YI should get better quickly, so that issue should also go away. WRONG! Day 2, equally bad. Day 3. Oh, sweet Jesus! The burning and itching was like the gates of lava were opened straight through my vagina! I literally asked my husband if I could just rip out my vaginal canal and be done with it! After 3 hours of the sensation of fire ants crawling in and out of me, I couldn't take it anymore. I went in the bathroom and prepared myself for birth, squeezing as much out as I could. I used external cream to help, and HOLY MOLY, IT MADE IT WORSE! 4 hours in this, and finally took a strong pain pill to hopefully knock me out! I may soak in another bath. I hope I don't get another YI, as I'm going to have PTSD after this nightmare."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a pretty severe yeast infection. Tried Monistat 7, and it burned a little the first day. Went to Urgent Care and got the Rx pill (praying that works). Tried Monistat again the next day and gaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! Chemical burns!! For real!!! Will my vagina heal? Will I ever be safe????? Thought maybe my yeast infection was getting worse? But now I come here and find that I am not alone. I am still in so much pain. I’m happy I didn’t use it again and never will. I have ulcers and stabbing burning pain in all my once favorite places. The yeast infection was bad, but this is a nightmare. Seriously worried I will have to live with permanent damage from the chemical burns."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Miconazole, also used in Monistat, yes, is one of the worse feeling creams for a yeast infection. I & several others have switched to another cream called Clotrimazole instead. It is literally the opposite. It has NO BURNING or tingling. I don't know how people stand Miconazole or Monistat. It's like putting yourself through all that pain. NOW PLEASE UNDERSTAND, this medicine may take 2 doses, where Monistat may take 1 use. This means if you use Monistat 3, then you would need to buy two of the Clotrimazole 3 to do the job typically. If you buy the 1-day, then you would need to buy two 1-day boxes of this. It's milder, so it takes a little longer, BUT... THERE IS NO PAIN! So I say give me pain-free results. I'll take more days."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Death before this. This was the worst experience ever. It feels like someone was dancing on a field of fire ants, wielding blowtorches blowing balls of fire in my vagina. I only survived by reading pages and pages of reviews for hours as the burning pain and itch subside. One reviewer says it's worse than when she had chlamydia and gonorrhea at the same time. Another says it was ten times itchier than her YI and vaginal eczema combined. Another said at least in childbirth, you get a break between contractions. The amount of people on ice packs, going to the ER, and calling the FDA is alarming. This amount of pain and itch is abnormal."

I feel worse than I did before treatment. Will never use this product again, will not continue treatment, and would not recommend!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The best part of using this product was reading the reviews! You guys are hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing! I totally agree, the burning pain was insane. What I thought was about to be a soothing relief turned out to be awful x 10! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to subjecting myself to that. I do not recommend this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 1, 1-day treatment. Just from the reviews, I was expecting an uneasy night. But, to my surprise, no burning as most people experienced. I put it in, put on a pad, and lay down. It’s the next morning, and still no burning sensation."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve also used this product in the past and never had a problem. This time, the immediate burning took me by surprise, but the surprise turned to disappointment and frustration when it continued getting worse! Showered it out as best I could. I’m never using this death cream again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I had my first YI, and I went to get Monistat. I'm doing the 7-day treatment. The first night I inserted the cream while laying down, stood to turn my light off, and seconds later I got the most intense itching feeling I've ever had in my life, I wanted to crawl out of my skin. My pain tolerance is very high, but this was hell. The next morning I showered, and there was a huge relief. Long story made short, hell yeah it burns/itches, but at the end of those 7 days, you're squeaky clean!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1. It burned and caused more discomfort than before I used it. Had to see my doctor for an oral prescription to cure the yeast infection. She told me to never use Monistat 1. It has a chemical in it that is supposed to make it stay in the vagina that causes extreme pain. She also said she doesn’t even know why they make it. Do not recommend!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the suppository Monistat before and didn’t have any burning sensation. I don’t itch when I am yeasty. I do start having a smell and the white discharge. I hate it. It’s so gross. I’m usually smelling good all the time down there. Anyway, I grabbed the wrong Monistat 3 and got the cream applicator. Like you all have said, I do have a burning sensation almost 2 minutes later. Freaked me out 'cause my vagina has never burned like this. I wiped the external cream off. It's not unbearable, but I think I will consult a doctor for day 2 and 3 ... I mean I don’t want my vagina to be welded shut. I haven’t completed the regimen, but I’m disappointed and really don’t have the money to buy something else. I did online doc, and he said Lotrimin. It’s an antifungal cream I think. It’s called Clotrimazole."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I want my money back! I've used Monistat 7 in years past, and I've never experienced this level of itching and burning. I'm literally swollen. What's in this stuff? Maybe it's because I used the 3-day formula this time? 200 mg of Miconazole Nitrate a bit much? My yeast infection was minor. Started after a few days of antibiotic use, and like everyone else, the intense itching and burning was almost immediate. I figured I can handle it, so I toughed it out, and the discomfort subsided for the most part. The next morning, I showered, and for some odd reason, the intense itching and burning is back. I was under the impression that the situation would get better instead of worse as time went on. I would've been better off just riding out the infection pre-Monistat instead of subjecting myself to this horror. Why isn't there a disclaimer on the box? The makers of this stuff are the worst. User beware!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had recurring yeast infections for almost 20 years now. They must have changed the formula or something, because it never made me burn anywhere near this bad before. Recently, it's like inserting a chunk of lava! Especially Monistat 3 and 1. My doctor advised me to only buy Monistat 7, but I think my period will be here in 3 days, so I opted for the 3. BIG MISTAKE! My poor vagina is rocked! Pray for my coochie, people!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 15. The first time I got one was during the winter of 2014. I used Monistat 7, and after a really, really long week, it got better from what I remember. It burns and itches so bad once the cream is inserted, which makes it impossible to sleep. :( I didn't get it to make me itch and burn more! This month in May, I got another from taking antibiotics, fighting another infection. I had an extra box left over and the redness and itch relief cream to add to the redness and itchiness throughout the day. It's horrible at first, but give it time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am shocked to see these reviews. When I put half an applicator, it burned like the pits of hell, and the itch was 1000% more intense. I instantly regretted it. It really scared me. I thought something was seriously wrong with me. I had to run a shower head up my vag for relief. Why does it hurt so much? Literally, the worst pain of my entire life, and I have given birth to 4 kids."
