For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't listen to all the bad reviews on this product, people obviously don't know how treatment for a fungal infection works. The worse the pain or itching after insertion or application of cream, the worse the infection. If it's really burning and itching, it just means you have a really bad infection and the medication is attacking it. Also, using the 7-day treatment may be better for really bad infections as it will not hurt as badly, it's more of a gradual treatment as opposed to the 1 or 3-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First day was the same as all these reviews describe - HORRENDOUS and sinfully filled with fire in and around my vulva. We all scream together. Second day (today), there’s absolutely no pain/itchiness/soreness/side effects. I really do think that the initial pain is just the medicine WORKING and eating away at the fungus. The worse the spread, the more it hurts at first. Today I have nothing to complain about and I think we just need to stick it out for that first couple of hours of hellfire. It’s definitely working now, oof."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Listen!!! It’s 11:56 pm and I just went in the tub to wash out the Monistat 3 medicine! Day 1 was painful but bearable pain. Felt extreme itching and burning inside my vagina, and the discomfort was better without the treatment. Day two was similar, but I felt the infection going away by then. Day three, I felt I didn’t need the treatment, but I wanted to finish it off... Now I’m on here typing, giving my review!!! And I’m here laying in pain because it’s causing itching in my vagina that I never had!!! It feels like imbedded worms or fleshy parasites."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night, I didn't feel any difference. The second night, it was almost gone, and the burning and itching had almost stopped. The third night, all the pain came back and even more intense. I don't know what happened! Help!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm a guy, and my girlfriend used this product and... wow. She is in so much pain. She is crying and yelling and... just too much. I have to work in the morning. The medicine is so much worse than the actual yeast infection. What can I do? By reading this, she found comfort, she wasn't the only one. Hope you ladies' vaginas are doing better!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please God, DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR VAGINA!!!! I should have read the reviews, but I’ve used this in the past and didn’t have the same reaction. I’m literally in the fetal position, crying and grabbing my vagina! I put this in about 30 minutes ago, and immediately after, I was bent over in pain. The burning and itching is literally like 30 times worse than the actual pain I was feeling from the infection. I called my doctor and an advice nurse and will be going in first thing in the morning. The only solace I have is reading everyone else’s experiences, so at least I know I’m not dying. I honestly thought I would have to go to the emergency room. Again, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON’T USE THIS. It’s like some woman-hating psychopath put some torturous ingredient in this to systematically inflict pain on unsuspecting women. I hate you, Monistat, how dare you do this to all of us!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lacking in health insurance at the moment, I thought getting Monistat would be a cheaper option for my yeast infection. Now, as I sit here in agonizing pain, I would have gladly sold my firstborn to avoid the itching and pain that are the side effects of Monistat. It feels like there is a raccoon deep inside of my vagina scratching to get out. I am at a loss on what to do. I have used Monistat before, and it wasn’t this bad. Is it possible that it’s because I bought the cream instead of the ovule this time? I wouldn’t be surprised if a man created this cream specifically to spite women. Somebody please send help."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omgoodness, I have had yeast infections before, but never have I felt so much pain. It feels like someone poured hot sauce in my vagina. I swear this as I have cried for the last 10 minutes. Monistat 3 is the worst. This is a bad batch. I should have gotten Target brand. I'll be seeing the doc for Diflucan tomorrow. This is not right, people."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. What is this stuff? I have used Monistat before in the past, and it has never given me this side effect. I took it around 1:00, it is currently 1:25, and I am in so much pain. It feels like I have hot sauce, boiling water, and a jalapeño stuck in my lady parts. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. As I am pregnant, I can’t take the pill, so I resorted to this... I do not recommend this, whatever you do... please don’t take this. I would much rather deal with my yeast infection than to deal with the side effects of Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "How has this not been recalled? The worst experience ever. I have used similar products in the past with no problems. This caused extreme burning and pain within minutes and did not improve until evening the next day. Just in time for day two dose. It was worse than the day before. I am afraid to try a day dose 3. No way this is minor irritation. DO NOT USE THIS!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m currently writing this review in bed, on my back, like I’ve been riding bareback for a week. My husband reluctantly got me an ice pack. Ladies, it feels like a blowtorch has been used inside my vajayjay, and the outside of it is SO itchy I feel like I should be handcuffed to make sure I don’t scratch! WTH is wrong with the 3-day cream?! I could handle the itch... it was at a 3 until I applied the external cream, and I’m at a 10 now. How am I going to sleep?! I’m debating washing it out. I literally sat on the toilet in shock, crying for ten minutes before I emerged complaining about how much pain I was in!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain ever. I feel like a blow torch has been stuck up there and burning my lady business to pieces! I’ve used the Monistat before, but it was the capsule form. Today I just grabbed the cream, and that was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. 24 years old, and I feel like I’ll never have any relations ever again because of Monistat ruining me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Right after inserting the cream, I felt burning and pain to a degree that I could not have predicted or imagined, especially since this isn't my first time using it and I didn't have this reaction before. After a couple of hours, it feels somewhat better, but damn, I wanted to take my skin off just to get relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use this product. You will suffer and regret it. I’m in so much pain from this Monistat, I’m so disgusted with this medication. I inserted it last night, and within a half hour, I was on fire down there. I have been trying to rinse with moistened cotton pads. I took a tramadol and Zyrtec to try and deal with the pain, with no relief. This product causes such suffering. I feel like there is acid inside of me. There are no instructions on what to do if this happens, for example, douche, shower, etc. I’m beyond furious. Shame on you, Monistat, there are so many people who have been affected like this. Shame on you!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, a friend referred me to Monistat 3 cream. This is my second day, and I want to pull my hair out from the pain and irritation. OMG, I wish I had read the reviews first. I took it at 9, it’s almost 11, and I’m still in pain. I’m trying to stick it out, hopeful that it works, but now I need something for pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I read the reviews before applying because I would have never applied it. It is painful and burning, and I don't understand how it's allowed on shelves. Please never buy this. There's a 50% chance you will feel this hot Cheeto inflammation instead of relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I finished an antibiotic and normally will get a yeast infection. I used Monistat 3 for the yeast infection last night. Within 5 to 10 minutes, I was burning like I was on fire. I was up all night with no relief. By morning, it finally stopped burning and felt somewhat better. I made the mistake of using the Monistat 3 again tonight, thinking that I was better. The same thing happened again, and I find myself again in excruciating burning. I got in the bathtub and was able to finally get some slight relief. I also took some children's Benadryl and hope it will help. I am still in pain as I write this review and hopefully it will stop burning soon. I will never, ever use this product again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Dear vagina... I am so terribly sorry. It must have been a man who came up with this product because there is no way a woman would create something so evil. Reading the reviews was probably a really bad idea, but it was reassuring that a trip to the ER wasn't necessary. Okay, maybe I'm being a tad dramatic, but the only way I would ever use this product again is if I was in a coma and could not feel pain. Never again! Call your doc for a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow! As soon as I put the tube in and pulled up my undies, I started a damn fire in my vagina! I can't really explain, I think with the pain, I blacked out and knocked out. I woke up 3 hours later to feel like my vagina is sore and painful! I did Monistat 1 before, and never did I feel this ever. Then I tried Monistat 3, and it feels like I lit a damn torch up there! I don't even think I'll do the second night because it burned so much. I'm scared, and why the freak would I put myself in that position again? I did not feel any relief, it still burns, and I think I messed up my vagina more than what was going on with it before. Do not try it - just go to the doctors! Run away from all Monistat! Run!!! Run!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I saw all these reviews talking about the burning and pain. I didn’t experience any of that. My yeast infection wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the most subtle. What I did was take ibuprofen and Benadryl like an hour before. I felt some tingling, but nothing alarming. The Benadryl made me nice and sleepy, so I guess I may have slept through it. I’m on my second day, and my symptoms have decreased wonderfully. Didn’t itch once."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first day I used the pre-filled applicator was quite painful. I burned and itched a lot down there. However, the second day didn't bother me at all. I'm guessing that the second application didn't hurt so much because most of the infection was eliminated. I'd use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy great balls of fire: my lady parts are on fire! I've been rocking back and forth for the last hour. I know this is supposed to help, and maybe this is what it's doing, but I wasn't in this much pain before using this product. I can not and will not use days 2 and 3."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my goodness! Used the first applicator 20 minutes ago and now I’m laying in bed in so much pain right now, it hurts so bad! I feel like someone lit a fire inside of my vagina and there’s nothing I can do about it. Why didn’t I read the reviews before buying this product?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to take a 7-day course of antibiotics for a UTI and started noticing that dreaded itch and pain down yonder. I decided since this has happened in the past, to use the tube filled cream inserts. At first, it was uncomfortable just sticking anything up there, but I didn’t feel any worse. I went to bed and woke up around 2:30 am to pee, but when I got back into bed, HOLY MOLY! I’m guessing being upright and sitting on the toilet let some of the cream run down, and NO ONE IS EXAGGERATING!! I thought someone doused my insides with acid! I've sat here reading and laughing at all your reviews in between pulsating rounds of hell, knowing I was not insane all the while clutching at my vag, trying hard not to scream in pain. It’s now 4 am, and although sleep-deprived and traumatized, the burning and pain have subsided gradually. Stick it out if you can, if not, you’ll eventually pass out from the pain and get some sleep"
