For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So this was the worst experience of my life so far. The first night I was calling out for my mom and started breathing like I was back in labor and experiencing the ring of fire! I'm currently on day 2, it's not that bad the second time, but wow, lol. I understand that it's getting rid of the yeast, and that is the only reason I didn't go and rip my vagina out. I would say if you can do natural birth, you can get through this. But if you know pain is not your thing, don't do it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I've had mixed experiences with this. The first time I used it must have been 5 or more years ago, and it absolutely set my vagina on fire with volcanic rage that merely scooping out the pain-inducing cream couldn't abate. Despite swelling and pain, it did, however, cure my inconveniently timed yeast infection, so I risked the burning again and bought this product the other day. Why do the same thing twice? First, I thought there was a chance that the product had been improved because as of 2013 there had already been plenty of damaging comments. Obviously, that's not true given recent reviews. The difference this time-I use only half of a tube each night because my infection has not been that bad. Yes, there is still burning, but nothing close to the armageddon of 2013. It seems to be helping so far, but we shall see."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow, I ask myself why I thought using Monistat for a yeast infection was okay. I've done it before, and every. Single. Time. The pain from the medication is BEYOND UNBEARABLE. I'd rather have the yeast infection pain. It feels like shards of glass in my vagina, and the burning does not go away. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy fire ants of the sun demon, Batman. I’m like many of you, I only found these reviews after Googling “why has my vagina turned into a fire-breathing dragon after my first Monistat dose?” And like many others, there is no real answer. I am willing to say the pain felt like a mild sunburn on my now swollen, pillow-sized lips after about an hour, still not pleasant, but was no longer leaking lava. I’m afraid to try tonight’s 2nd dose, but out of sheer curiosity and maybe because I must be secretly into torture. And because today my infection didn’t seem as bad as it did previously. I’ll see how the second one goes. Wish me and my scared little kitty luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I figured I would fix this with the 3-day, as I have before. However, these have been the worst 2 nights ever! The first dose was uncomfortable with the itching and burning, but I felt better by the morning. This dose has me in so much pain that I can't sleep! I even took a cold bath to get it out, and had to put an ice-cold rag down there. Still no relief from the fire that this has set on my lady bits! For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Increases itching by 8000x! I am in so much pain at 2:56 am from this product. I did take it at 2:10 am due to getting in late from work. I have been itching nonstop down there, like scratching it at this point doesn't help. I am crying and in severe pain, I mean I literally tried laying down, but the itching feels like 100 fleas down there biting nonstop. I'm scratching so bad that my whole body is shaking, I cannot sleep. I have to stop to scratch deep even while typing this, and what makes it 100x worse. I am also on my period, and this is my first yeast infection ever. I guess you can say it works due to me not having severe scratching all day before I started to use this product. I’m only on the second day. I went all day from 5 am to 2 am with 1/10 scratching, but as soon as I inserted it, I mean as soon as it started to itch like crazy. All I can say is if you can get the pill, please do. I wouldn’t wish this type of pain on my worst enemy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Got Monistat 3 to help treat my YI. The first day of use wasn’t too bad, a burning sensation, but it went away fairly quickly. On the 2nd night, I went to use it and also used Vagisil right after. Not even 5 minutes later, I couldn’t keep my legs closed and thought someone was sticking a fire-hot pan to my nether regions. It hurt so badly to the point I had to sit in an ice bath to try and cool my nono parts while simultaneously holding a trash can because the pain was making me severely sick. This product was a horrible experience, I’d rather just stick to the oral medication. I suggest you do the same!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'd rather suffer from the yeast infection than to EVER use Monistat 3 ever again. I was fine until the medication started moving down the vaginal canal towards my opening. (Women have very few nerves in the back of our vaginas towards the cervix and have more towards our openings.) The pain, burning, and itching went from a 2 to a 40 within minutes. I have no idea if it actually works because I won't use the doses for Days 2 & 3. Just called my doctor for the Diflucan pill."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been on antibiotics, and they’re rough on my cooter flora. Sent my husband for some relief treatment. I usually get the little bullet kind because they melt slower and the burn isn’t as severe. But he came home with the pre-loaded syringes. I put the first dose in there and thought I was gonna die. My cooter burst into flames and started crying. I quickly grabbed a Benadryl and two ibuprofen to try to calm myself down and bear the pain. It actually helped rather quickly. I will be doing this regimen a little bit ahead of time tomorrow and the following day just so that I can get this treatment done. Manufacturers of Monistat, please do something scientifically about this so that it’s more variable for women."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Thank goodness for this page. I developed a YI after 10 days on antibiotics. I tried the 1-day treatment, but I was still fighting the infection. The store I went to only had 3 and 7 days, so I grabbed the 3-day. I am on fire, itching like crazy. Why? I will not be using the other 2 applicators. This is ridiculous. I have NEVER had a YI medicine do this before. I am just icing the area to ease the pain. Never again will I purchase a Monistat product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used this product a couple of times, and I just recommend upon the first signs of a YI going straight to urgent care if your doctor cannot see you the same day. YIs grow fast if untreated for a period of time. I would just get the Diflucan tablet and ask if they can either give you a second dose to take 72 hours later or maybe the 7-day dose. In my experience, Monistat and other OTC products just make things worse, and the pain, itching, burning is so not worth it. I just managed the symptoms as much as possible with ice while I took the Diflucan. It also got so bad because of the cream that I used for the itching that it started to burn so bad to urinate, so I just poured cold water over my vagina as the urine streamed out, and that felt a lot better than having it burn me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is awful! I’m on day two of the treatment and I’m still in tears from the burning and itching. I’ve never experienced pain like this. I won’t be taking the third day of this stuff. It’s not worth it. I’d rather have the YI infection. This is seriously torture. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please don't use the Monistat 3-day ovules. I actually have hives inside my vagina because of this product. The area is swollen, covered with hives, incredibly itchy, it burns and hurts. The doctor misdiagnosed me with genital warts. Can you imagine? I've had the same partner for 27 years. We do not have an STD. All I had was a yeast infection and used the ovules. Please don't put yourself through this. Get the Diflucan. I'm now on Benadryl every 4 hours."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have gotten a YI after taking heavy dosages of antibiotics, and they have always resolved on their own with natural remedies. This time, they did not go away, so I purchased Monistat 3-Day combo treatment. I inserted the cream before going to bed as instructed, followed by applying the anti-itch cream to the outer area and immediately starting to search if it was normal to be in the absolute insane amount of itching I am experiencing. Not even two minutes after insertion, I am in excruciating discomfort due to itching on the inside of my vagina. This product made my symptoms 1000x worse to the point they are beyond unbearable. It’s been three hours, and these symptoms show zero signs of resolving. I am scared to even attempt days two and three, as I do not think I could handle two more nights of this discomfort and pain. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PRODUCT."
