For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the first time I had a yeast infection, so my doctor told me to get the Monistat 3-day tubes. I was hesitant because of all the bad reviews I saw, but I got it anyway. The first night I used it, not even 10 minutes later, it felt like somebody was holding a lighter up to my vagina. IT WAS BURNING, ITCHING, & STINGING so much that I couldn’t even sleep. I kept getting up to walk off the itch, and I had to put a cold rag on it in order to go to sleep. But the next morning, I felt great, and throughout that day, I didn’t feel any burning or itching, so I continued using the other tubes for the next two nights, and surprisingly, I didn’t experience burning or stinging at all! That means the yeast infection was almost fully cured :) I highly recommend this product because of how fast it works. You just have to suck it up and deal with the burning on the first night you use it and wear a pantyliner. Night 2 & 3 won’t be as bad, you may feel little to no burning or itching at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought Monistat 3 cream suppository over the counter on Monday and inserted it at night right before bed, and yes, as everybody's reviews and experience about the burning and stinging after inserting it, is very true. But that's the whole point of it, it kills the yeast, and to me, that was when I knew it was doing its job! The burning and stinging lasted for about 20 minutes. The next morning, the same feeling occurred for about 20 minutes-burning, stinging, a little uncomfortable-but let me say, after my first dose, I was feeling 80% better! Last night, Wednesday, was my last dose, and this morning I'm 100% better. I truly didn't think Monistat 3 was going to work, but it did, and hopefully I don't get any more yeast infections, but if I do, I know what to use best! So if you're reading this and this is your first yeast infection and you're thinking about using this product, I think you should give it a try! I'm very sensitive to a lot of things, and I was hesitant about using it, but I gave it a try, and it worked for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 4. Vagina and vulva are raw. Wiping down there with wipes or paper feels like I’m using sandpaper. Urination burns my irritated skin. Leftover Monistat occasional drip feels like a combination of sting/itch/burn. I have to dab with a wipe after urinating. Day 5. Vagina and vulva are raw, it still hurts to pee, and wiping is the worst. I’m not sure what to do. I think it may be a chemical burn from the Monistat. Vaginal canal entry itches here and there. No cottage cheese discharge. If in 2 days I’m not better, going to the Gyno. If you are sensitive to side effects, beware. Shame on you, Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have to take antibiotics frequently, so I get YIs periodically. I've always taken Diflucan orally or used Monistat 7. I inserted the first dose of M3 last night before bed. I realized about 2 minutes later that I had to pee. After I did, it hit! The burning and itching were so intense that I had to walk around for a minute to get myself together. I lay in bed writhing in pure misery from the stinging and intense itching. Burning was bearable, but the itching just about did me in. I finally took my panties off and kept my legs separated so the heat wouldn't activate the yeast, as if it wasn't already activated. I was desperate! It took 2 hours to go to sleep, but laughing hysterically at the other reviews sure made the itching more bearable!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I do NOT recommend this product! I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased Monistat 3. Minutes after inserting the product, you start to feel the burn. The pain from this product is worse than the actual yeast infection. The pain was unbearable, it felt like someone was pouring boiling water in my vagina. It also itched and stung. The pain lasted for about 45 minutes. I was kicking and screaming and crying. The cream and wipes that come with the product did NOTHING to help. I resorted to a freezing cold ice pack, which only helped a little. I ended up calling my doctor and getting a pill prescribed. I would not wish the pain from this product on my worst enemy. I do have damage from this product and hope it recovers."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so yes, there was a slight burn upon insertion. IMO, it’s nothing compared to the constant itching/burning a YI gives. Also, when Candida Albicans die off rapidly, they release at least 79 different toxins. This long list of toxic substances includes ethanol, uric acid, and acetaldehyde. (GTS.) I’m no doctor (only a RDH), but the burn you’re experiencing could be from the yeast dying off (as some DIY treatments produce the same “burning effect,” i.e., garlic). Anywho, I’m laying in bed now, and the burning was gone about 20 min after taking it, and I’m fine. *On hour 5: the itching and burning from the YI is practically gone. (Maybe an ever-so-slight *sting* is there, but that’s it. Like a 1.5/10 pain level.)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My first time using this specific one (green box, 3-day, prefilled cream), and I will never do myself the disservice again. Night #1 was fine, I even felt like there was less discomfort during the next day. However, I am writing this after an urgent removal and washout of Night #2’s treatment. The burn and sting I just felt rivaled any pain I’ve ever felt down there combined. Truly, if that is what “treatment” feels like, I’ll keep the infection. SMH, calling the doctor in the am, #3 is in the bin."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I applied before bed. Instant burning and stinging, like I got bit by fire ants in my vagina. I could only take it for 1 minute before I realized I couldn't take it anymore. I jumped in the shower and washed out as much as possible, applied some wheat grass lotion to my outer labia, took some Tylenol, and after a few hours, went to bed. Woke up with a perfectly healed labia, but the inside of my vagina was swollen and full of red, hurtful bumps, as well as painful to pee at first. I cried on my way to work and thought, "OMG, this is the worst pain ever! I have the worst yeast infection ever." The day went on and pain subsided. Night two, same thing. That's when I looked online and realized it's the product. I'm throwing this torture cream out!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used another generic brand from Rite Aid before, and it worked-no burning. But today, I wanted to be a little more fancy since I was feeling like crap anyway. I used Monistat 3 today. Used the cream earlier, and I will say it stings a bit. I don't know if it's because I was already irritated or if it was the cream, but it stung like hell. After about 10 minutes, it wore off. I was even more irritated and uncomfortable. I used the suppository about half an hour ago. A little sign of relief. Not as much itching. I think it's better to take the suppository at night just so the medicine can stay inside the vagina longer, and I believe I'll get better results when I use it at night before I fall asleep."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my goodness! The pain is so bad. I’m on day one. I was Googling like a lot of other girls, and my goodness, I wish I had read these before I bought them. The burning was so bad and intense, and I couldn’t bear it and wanted to cry. I got this because I used it when I was 16 and had no problems. I’m 23 now, so I thought it would work. It didn’t! It burns so bad, and it itches and stings and is on fire. It’s so much worse than before the yeast infection. I just wish it would stop. I’m going to be a trooper and stick it out. Stay away from this. Something changed in this Monistat compared to before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I hope it works, 'cause it felt awful. It burned mildly after insertion. Then I peed an hour later, and with it started the worst burning I ever experienced. I washed my vaginal area with water twice and then applied Vagisil so that the burning became bearable. Still feel some stinging/burning. Not sure if I will continue the medication."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have only done night one of the cream-filled inserts, and I have to say it wasn't that bad. I showered before and gently but thoroughly cleaned my vagina beforehand (make sure you pat dry!! Yeast LIVES for warm and moist environments). I laid down and inserted the cream. I suggest actually going as deep as you can because I feel like that prevents a lot of the leakage issues during the night. I took Advil and Tylenol shortly after inserting the cream, and it seemed to help. I ate some yogurt, this helps if you have a YI, and the itching began about 30 min in. I complained to my bf, then went to bed and fell asleep quickly. Lay down as soon as you can after using! While there is discomfort, it honestly wasn't much worse than the YI itself. Just take deep breaths, lay still, focus on your breathing, and you'll be asleep in no time. Oh, and I feel a lot better today! Minor leakage throughout the day and a little stinging, but I'm at work, and it's not bad."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, this BURNS. No joke. And it itches A LOT. But it does help. Looking at the ingredients, I expected it to burn, obviously, lol. It’s helped me feel sooo much better. It’s not really a pain. I feel it’s more like a really bad irritation, like 8/10 irritation, because the sting and the itching is like having poison ivy down there in the south side. It’s nothing I can’t handle, but I know there are more sensitive kitty cats out there, so just be careful! And be safe! Please, please read and look into everything BEFORE you put it in your body. Even lovers ;)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have read through many comments. I have been using Monistat products for years. It takes three days. No matter which product you are using, for a yeast infection to start clearing up and 7 days for completion. So whether you are using a pill, egg, cream, garlic, oil, or oregano... three days. Upon insertion on the first day, you will get backlash fire pits of hell feeling. This is the medication attacking the yeast infection. It will burn, sting, throb, swell your lips, and itch 10 times more. Do your treatments at night. Wear a thin panty liner. Use the lotion 3 times a day. Be brave... lol come on, ladies."
