For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night of using Monistat 3, I had severe burning and itching right after inserting for about an hour until I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning still feeling the symptoms of my yeast infection. I was hesitant to take it the second night, but I did, and I have to say, it went in comfortably and I had no discomforts the 2nd or 3rd night. If you experience the intense burning and itching, then that means the medicine is working. It may hurt, but it gets the job done. Also, try and keep in mind that typically happy users don’t take their time to go out of their way and review things, saying how great they are; but unhappy users will most definitely find the time to post their review if they hate the product. That’s something I always keep in mind when reading reviews. I wanted to come on and share my experience so people don’t get scared away by all the horrific reviews on here lol."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my word... as many of you have already said: I had to take amoxicillin for an infection, and it wiped out my good bacteria in my vagina, leading to a HORRID yeast infection (YI). I’d taken the Monistat eggs before with no issue... went up to Walmart today to get it, and they only had the Monistat 3 cream. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this med! My vagina is 1,000,000,000 times more uncomfortable now than I was before inserting the cream! It is truly something awful! Fire ants, wearing scratchy wool sweaters, set on fire, crawling up my vag! I am considering going to the ER! Nothing is helping! Never using this stuff again! (-)5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Listen!!! It’s 11:56 pm and I just went in the tub to wash out the Monistat 3 medicine! Day 1 was painful but bearable pain. Felt extreme itching and burning inside my vagina, and the discomfort was better without the treatment. Day two was similar, but I felt the infection going away by then. Day three, I felt I didn’t need the treatment, but I wanted to finish it off... Now I’m on here typing, giving my review!!! And I’m here laying in pain because it’s causing itching in my vagina that I never had!!! It feels like imbedded worms or fleshy parasites."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It ain't that bad, y'all. Yes, it itches. Yes, it's uncomfortable. It's worth getting rid of Candida. I'd use the stuff daily if it meant never getting another yeast infection. Pro Monistat tip: before inserting Monistat, spread Aloe Vera gel and Tea Tree oil onto a few maxi pads and put them in the fridge. When the discomfort hits, slap one of those suckers on for instant relief. Don't freeze them or you're gonna freezer burn the bajeezus out of your hoo-hah."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The last time I had a YI, it was BAD. I had my mom get me the Monistat day 3. Within minutes of using it, I was in the bathroom, in excruciating pain trying to get whatever I put in me out. I'm not lying when I say it was possibly the most painful thing I’ve endured. I ended up going with the day 7 another time, and it was a little less intense. I do think the severity of the pain depends on how bad your infection is. I currently have a YI, and I’m using the day 3 again. I’ve had it in for about 15-20 minutes, and I’ve only had a little bit of discomfort, but VERY doable. The medicine is killing off the bad yeast, so obviously it’s probably not meant to feel like sunshine and rainbows. I will say vagisil anti-itch cream helped me a lot. Hopefully, this comment has given someone comfort, as I have been in this situation before and have struggled through the pain of Monistat. Hang in there, it’s worth the infection being done in the end."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I, unfortunately, have a very sensitive undercarriage and over the years I've become no stranger to the love/hate relationship with Monistat. Anyway, the point is, I consider myself an expert on the three-day Monistat. Night 1, depending on how bad the infection is, you’ll likely be miserable. The burning and itching is so real, but I’ve discovered that taking some Benadryl for the itching and some ibuprofen for the inflammation makes it much more tolerable. Usually, the next morning I feel 10 times better than the day before. Night 2 of treatment usually starts with some discomfort, but nothing like the first round. And by the last night, in my experience, there’s usually not much of an infection left, so no discomfort either! All in all, it gets the job done!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m here to add another installment or “what have I just put in my vag.” If you’re reading this, it’s probably too late. Just know you’re not alone. We all made the same mistake. Pretty sure my husband thought I was being super dramatic until I showed him some of these reviews. Currently sitting in a bath trying to wash the awful stuff out. Ugh. My vag is more uncomfortable now after using it than it was after I pushed a whole human through it. This is horrendous. Hang in there, fellow burning vag friends!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 3-day Monistat per recommendation of my OB-GYN nurse, and holy moly, this burns like no other. I jumped in the bath and literally scraped as much out as possible... that helped, but I am still more uncomfortable than before. I put coconut oil in and around, and that has drastically helped the burning and itching. Hope this helps. DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After 4 weeks of antibiotics and prednisone, I developed the dreaded YI. Got the Monistat 3 to hopefully resolve the issue by Monday morning. After inserting the cream, I feel like someone has taken a steak knife to my insides and dumped a bottle of hot damn inside to rinse it out. Sure I was going to pass out, I reached for my phone to find others with similar experiences. This is more effective than the Sunday sermon. Repenting of my sins now, I've taken pills and hope to pass out soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My vagina has now experienced what hell is like. I'm certain this product is made from straight gasoline, and the applicator is the lighter. The first and last time I treat a yeast infection using OTC medications. I don't think a firehose can put out the fire I am experiencing. Thanks for nothing, Monistat 3 day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been on antibiotics off and on for the last couple of months, definitely not my first yeast infection. I've never used Monistat before, so I figured I would try it since it's Saturday and I can't go to the doctor till Monday. Used the cream right before bed and didn't last two minutes, literally couldn't take it, the burning and itching and pain. Miserable, it took me over an hour to remove the cream and I'm still uncomfortable! I will never buy this again, I'll just be uncomfortable till Monday. I don't suggest anyone purchasing this product, especially if they have a history of sensitive skin or anything. I'm not sure why they would continue a product that everyone is having the same result."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I gave this product a 9 purely on the fact that it did, in fact, hurt like hell using it the first night. It was VERY uncomfortable the first treatment: burning, itching, painful. Remember, I would assume the amount of pain that's caused is based on how bad the infection is. Being pregnant (24 weeks), I tried to wait it out without medication and couldn't. A few things to mention... The first night's treatment sucks, it's uncomfortable, painful, and lasts a little while (maybe an hour), but it does subside and you're able to sleep. Because I'm pregnant, I do wake up at least twice a night to pee, and the first wake-up I had there was no more pain, itching, or burning (RELIEF). That was worth the uncomfortable hour I had. STICK WITH IT, trust me!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, everyone on here is pretty much right. The itching and burning is a thing for sure, and I don’t really know how I’m going to sleep well tonight, but it’s honestly not THAT bad. At least not for me. Like, I definitely considered washing this out to the best of my ability since it is pretty freaking uncomfortable, but it’s only the first night, so I’m gonna try to stick it out to see if I have any improvement with my original issue. But yes, the burning and itching is real and is something to take into consideration, especially if you have a low pain tolerance."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Why, oh why didn't I read these threads before I did this to myself? I had the very beginnings of a YI. Slight itching, a little discomfort. I decide to go buy Monistat 3. I make sure not to get an off brand that is cheaper. It's Monistat, and I've heard of it a million times. Women all over the world use it, right? Oh my gosh! What a terrible mistake. I hate the makers of this 'medicine'! I see people are saying it works after enduring the pain. I agree. It's only been 30 minutes since I lathered my insides with this lava. But this cream is melting the top layer of my vagina off, with it goes the YI. So, yeah, I guess it would work. Ugh. I am hating life right now, and after this heinous crime, I shouldn't even be allowed to have a vagina anymore... please, somebody, how long does this pain last? Somebody, anybody... how do I make it stop????!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, sisters. I just discovered how to get almost-instant relief. I, like you, had my poor vagina and vulva on fire after using the cream. Once I read these reviews, like you, too late, I realized it wasn’t going to get better, and I jumped into the shower. After wiping off my vulva in the warm-hot water, I realized I needed relief inside my vagina, so I made a little vagina bath by cupping my hand under my vagina and letting my cupped hands fill with the very warm water. Somehow this warm water melted the cream, so it came out. I washed it off my hand and started again until all the cream came out. I can’t express to you what relief I feel now, lying in bed as I type this. It’s cathartic! Now I will be able to sleep the night. I still feel the discomfort of the YI, but at least the intense burning and itching of the woman-hating cream is gone. I hope this works for you too!! Sending love and sleep to you! The struggle is real!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Usually, every time I take antibiotics, I get a YI, and usually use the Monistat 1-day treatment kit. But this time I opted for the 3-day treatment. At first, when I inserted the egg, it was fine. Nothing burned or itched. I then used the cream, and it all seemed fine. Then, as I was falling asleep 15 minutes later, I started to experience this intense itching sensation from the inside of my vagina. And then it started to slightly burn. The feeling was so uncomfortable I started to cry. I figured since I had used it before, it would be ok. But I don't know what went wrong this time. After around 2 hours, it went down a bit but was still uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "JUST GO TO THE DOCTOR!! It is currently 5:43 am, and I've been awake for about 45 minutes now with a bag of ice on my lady parts, so it can somewhat release the itch and burn. I should have read the reviews on this cream, so I advise you to just go to the doctor to get medicine - this is awful. I do not know what to do besides stay in pain... Ladies, just go to the doctor, I beg of you, so you do not have to be in so much discomfort!!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was welcoming to a 3-day cure. I was looking forward to getting home and starting the journey to get rid of the recent issue. It was my first serious yeast infection. I showered. Waited for bed to insert the first application. At 10, I was well, now, it's as good as ever. I inserted it. Hard to do because it hurts to actually put in. I'm not sure why, it could be awfully dry. You'd think they'd consider that. But let me tell you, a discomforting insertion was nothing for the hell I was about to endure. It's a terrible burning sensation. It literally made my legs twinge. It'll fade out, and it'll come right back. Fingers crossed it gets the job done with one application because I don't think I can endure another. Good luck to all you ladies!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, ladies-I bought this, and I haven’t had a yeast infection in over 5 years. I used to get them whenever I had an antibiotic, and I always used Monistat, so I thought nothing of it, especially if not being “that bad” yet. Well, holy moly, I was near tears; I was on fire so badly down there; it was almost instant after I inserted the medication! It was, as one user described it, “like gasoline being poured down there and lit on fire.” Never had I experienced anything like this before, and I too immediately jumped in the shower and tried to get as much out as I possibly could! Pretty sure this isn’t for everyone and definitely not for me; it’s quite scary, actually!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat before, but today is my first time trying Monistat 3. Let me tell you, this product is horrific and traumatizing. I’ve never had such an intense burn like this in my life! I’ve been running around for 30 minutes trying to see if the pain subsides, and it has compared to when I first inserted, but I’m still in pain. I don’t recommend this product. Never felt this type of discomfort with Monistat 7. Never again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst medication ever created. I’m in so much more pain right now after inserting dose 1 of Monistat. I tried to wipe it down and went into the shower to remove as much of it as I could from inside my vagina, but that can be tricky. My head hurts now, and I’m in severe discomfort and burning so bad. Never again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am quite literally dying right now. I am in so much discomfort from this product. It’s day 2, and I just need to sleep before one of my finals tomorrow, and I simply cannot. The internal burning is so bad, it’s all I can think about. I’ve tried ibuprofen and melatonin, and nothing is working. I just want it out of me so I can sleep. Holy, this stuff hurts."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. The itching and burning I felt within 5 minutes of inserting it was unbearable. There has to be a better solution to a mild yeast infection than pain, discomfort, crying, and exhaustion. Worst night I’ve ever had."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you have a mild yeast infection, this is a great option. But the worse the infection, the more it will burn, so if you have an intense case, you probably want to see what other options your doctor recommends. I had a semi-mild case, and I was uncomfortable, and it definitely burned, but it was not unbearable pain. Within 2 days, I was mostly recovered, and by day 3, I was basically back to normal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "0/5 stars. Do not recommend. I used the Monistat 3-Day ovules. I only completed 2 days. I'd rather have the yeast infection. I've never in my life felt uncomfortable like that. I didn't sleep night 1 at all. Night 2 at around 3 am, I took a Benadryl and got a few hours of sleep after sitting in a cold bath, considering sitting on a steel brush for relief. If anyone suggests I ever use Monistat again, I'm calling the cops on them."
