For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I've never had a YI before, so I got this stuff. I used it for the first time last night, and it made my YI SO MUCH WORSE. Before, I only had bad discharge, no itching or burning. I couldn't sit still for at least an hour. I ended up getting my boyfriend to get me ice to help. It burned and itched so bad, but only on the inside. It got to the point that I couldn't do it anymore, so I called my mom, and she gave me advice. So I eventually rinsed it out. I got the pills and have been taking them today. And I decided to give the cream another shot. So far, it's been about 30 mins, and it hasn't been terrible. A little uncomfortable, but I'm hoping the slight itch will pass and I can get to sleep. I will not be using this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy moly!!! I had no idea this product burns as bad as it does. I was still under the impression my yeast infestation was getting worse, not realizing that this medication I inserted was causing so much discomfort. I am squirming and screaming that I’m in so much pain. I noticed after taking antibiotics I had gotten a little itchy down there, but I didn’t know it would go from 8 to 10,000. I’ve tried the cream. I tried rubbing the honey pot vulva cream to soothe it. I’m having trouble sleeping and behold, I was laying down commando style, and of course, the leakage gets everywhere, so not only is my vagina on fire, but my pearl is begging for mercy. Lord, hear my prayer and everyone who submits a review. Please invent something better. Amen."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you have a mild yeast infection, this is a great option. But the worse the infection, the more it will burn, so if you have an intense case, you probably want to see what other options your doctor recommends. I had a semi-mild case, and I was uncomfortable, and it definitely burned, but it was not unbearable pain. Within 2 days, I was mostly recovered, and by day 3, I was basically back to normal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m laughing so hard reading these reviews because they are so relatable. Had a yeast infection, and instead of going to the Dr. to get swabbed, I bought Monistat 3. The first two nights weren’t bad, didn’t feel too much. The morning of day 3, I felt a little uncomfortable. Night 3, I inserted the cream, and about an hour or two after I had fallen asleep, I had to pee. Worst decision ever. I just about woke my husband up to drive with me to the ER so they could get this $h!t out of me. So uncomfortable, it felt like it was burning through my tissue. Five days later, I went to the Dr. to get swabbed because something was not right still. They told me I was super inflamed, and all of my tissue was bright red and angry. It took a month for me to heal after using this and to be able to have sex again. Both swabs came back negative for yeast and BV. I will never use this in my life again. I will go to the Dr. to get swabbed and take whatever oral antibiotic or antifungal they have."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on night 2 of the 3-day cream, and I am currently sitting in my bed with an ice pack on my vagina. After 10 minutes of crazy itching and burning, I had to wash all of it out in the shower. It’s literally insane how uncomfortable it is. I’m so annoyed. No classes for me tomorrow."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don’t usually buy OTC meds for a YI, but it was hard getting an appointment on short notice! I have never experienced such discomfort that it has me angry! This is the 2nd applicator & will not use the 3rd. I will take my chances of the YI coming back! I couldn’t understand what was going on and decided to Google my experience! Well, I will never use this stuff again! So unhappy right now!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I did 2 days and then had the crazy itching the next day. The third night, tonight, was the worst. I just got out of the bath and used a generous amount of coconut oil to stop the burning and itching. I can’t find my tea tree oil, but this helped. At 12:42 am, I’m wide awake from the intense discomfort. Do the suppositories have the same intense burning or itching, or is it mainly the cream? I’m going to take more probiotics tonight and multiple times tomorrow with Kombucha so I don’t have to feel this again. Next time I need an antibiotic, I’m loading up more on the probiotics and Kombucha. Such a crazy, intense feeling that I don’t ever want to have again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "All the comments here are accurate. Can't sleep due to the intense burning. This product should be discontinued ASAP, what a waste of money for an awful product. Will have to call in sick to work because the discomfort is intense and my body constantly twitches. Will visit the emergency clinic, thanks Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Now, ladies! This product does cause “discomfort,” aka burning inferno and itchiness! But it did work within the three days allotted! Right after you insert it, the “mild” itchiness and/or burning may occur, but trust me, it’s worth not having the infection!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg! I wish I had read the reviews before using! I’m 5 months pregnant and already in pain from my body adjusting to carrying a child! Now my vag is on fire! I was uncomfortable when I was using Vagisil, but the itch wasn’t going away, so I decided to try this out, and 10 minutes later, I’m freaking regretting it! My insides are itching worse than before! I want to scratch so bad, but I’m clenching here and there, and it goes away for a second! DO NOT USE!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, my vagina was on fire! On day 2 :( This is torture! I'd rather give birth without epidural, so unbearable the burning. I took Motrin, I applied an ice pack and Vagisil maximum strength, it finally calmed down after 2 hours. I really, really, really hope after the 3rd day it goes away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat 3 two or three times within the last few months. The first time I tried it, I felt severe itching and burning down in my vagina. I was tossing and turning in pain, and I felt like I needed to go to the hospital and get all of the cream washed out. I felt as if hundreds of mosquitoes bit me down in my lady area, and at the same time, I felt as if a fire had started down there too. However, after a couple of minutes, the pain started to ease down, and I took an Advil so I could sleep. The pain was terrible and caused a great amount of discomfort at first, but I continued to buy the product because at the end of the three days, my yeast infection had either healed or healed a couple of days after. However, I think I may try using another yeast infection medicine, hopefully not as painful. So before using Monistat, I recommend you should try another product or brand first."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've always used the ovules in the past, but the store I went to only had pre-filled applicators. Just took one and my parts do feel like they are on fire. I wonder if it is because it's the cream, so it hits your parts all at once? Maybe the ovules are not as bad because they have to dissolve? I'll tell you though, I'll never buy the prefilled applicators again. This is extremely uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I honestly feel so bad for all the bad experiences. Reading all of them makes me cringe. I am very familiar with yeast infections, I usually get them when I'm on a lot of antibiotics. So, when I became very itchy and uncomfortable, I knew it was a yeast infection. The pain was awful, and I finally bought Monistat 3. I used the first application last night, and today I feel no itch or discomfort. So far, so good!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have only done night one of the cream-filled inserts, and I have to say it wasn't that bad. I showered before and gently but thoroughly cleaned my vagina beforehand (make sure you pat dry!! Yeast LIVES for warm and moist environments). I laid down and inserted the cream. I suggest actually going as deep as you can because I feel like that prevents a lot of the leakage issues during the night. I took Advil and Tylenol shortly after inserting the cream, and it seemed to help. I ate some yogurt, this helps if you have a YI, and the itching began about 30 min in. I complained to my bf, then went to bed and fell asleep quickly. Lay down as soon as you can after using! While there is discomfort, it honestly wasn't much worse than the YI itself. Just take deep breaths, lay still, focus on your breathing, and you'll be asleep in no time. Oh, and I feel a lot better today! Minor leakage throughout the day and a little stinging, but I'm at work, and it's not bad."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second year infection in my life. I got Monistat 7-day treatment for my first one, and for the first 3 days, the itching and burning was terrible, and I felt like I was going to die. I used the anti-itch cream that came with it, but it didn't help. After the first 3 days, the amount of discomfort decreased and was gone on the last day, and so was my infection. I just got another infection, and I decided to use Monistat 3 because I thought it wouldn't be as bad. I was wrong, the itching and burning is unbearable. I currently have an ice pack between my legs, and I'm only on day 1. After about 30 minutes with the ice pack, the discomfort decreases and is now mild. I am going to complete the treatment because I want this infection gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Burning and itching is the most common side effect of Monistat. If it’s burning and itching, it just means you have a bad infection, and the medication is attacking it. Also, using the 7-day treatment may be better for really bad infections as it will not hurt as bad; it's more of a gradual treatment as opposed to the 1 or 3-day treatment. I’m on day three of the Monistat 3, and I’ve been just fine, and it’s working. On night 1, I had a little bit of itching and discomfort, but the cream subsided the symptoms. Definitely wear a panty liner the following day; otherwise, things get a bit messy throughout the day. You will most likely experience leaking of the medication. If you’re experiencing insane itching/burning, see your OBGYN so they can write you a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Very good experience. No pain, no discomfort at all and no burning as others have described. After 3 days of using Monistat, I feel fine and feel like my yeast infection has gone away. The first day I used it before bed, I felt some discomfort. Definitely recommend it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have gotten a YI after taking heavy dosages of antibiotics, and they have always resolved on their own with natural remedies. This time, they did not go away, so I purchased Monistat 3-Day combo treatment. I inserted the cream before going to bed as instructed, followed by applying the anti-itch cream to the outer area and immediately starting to search if it was normal to be in the absolute insane amount of itching I am experiencing. Not even two minutes after insertion, I am in excruciating discomfort due to itching on the inside of my vagina. This product made my symptoms 1000x worse to the point they are beyond unbearable. It’s been three hours, and these symptoms show zero signs of resolving. I am scared to even attempt days two and three, as I do not think I could handle two more nights of this discomfort and pain. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PRODUCT."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. The itching and burning I felt within 5 minutes of inserting it was unbearable. There has to be a better solution to a mild yeast infection than pain, discomfort, crying, and exhaustion. Worst night I’ve ever had."
