For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy moly, I have third-degree type burns on my lady parts. I'm rating this a 2 because I think it cured my infection, but oh the pain. After reading the other comments, I'm not sure why this product is still on the shelf?! Why! This is not right!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the one-day ovule pack a couple of years ago and had no problem. This time I used the 3-day cream... worst feeling ever. I thought my insides were on fire or bleeding. It will make you cry yourself to sleep from the pain. Never again. NEVER. Remove this product from the market."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't use it! I can't comment on the effectiveness, but it burns like lava! After terrible pain using this product, I switched to creams that use clotrimazole (active ingredient) instead. I can recommend the clotrimazole 3. Got rid of my YI without any pain at all. It will get better and doesn't have to hurt"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is hell on earth: I repeat, hell on earth. I bought a Miconazole 3 from the pharmacy because I was suspecting myself of having a yeast infection, hoping I didn’t have to rush to the doctor. I wanted to try an over-the-counter product first. The second I inserted my first dosage, I was ready to run and jump in a pool of ice water. It makes you feel like someone is throwing acid right on your vagina. I’m still in pain and don’t know what to do with myself. I made a gynecologist appointment. I need help! I need relief! Please, God, oh please, no one buy this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I tried this for the first time last night, and OMG, the pain. As soon as I lay down in bed, it felt like a million bugs eating away at my vagina. It burned and itched so bad I could not get to sleep with the heartbeat in my vagina, it was not pleasant. My vagina felt like it wanted to push out the cream. The YI was not as painful as the cream that I put in me. So the morning is here, and the cream is just messy, it's coming out, and it's in the toilet every time I pee. So far I don't have the itching I had yesterday before the cream, so I'm hoping tonight with the second round won't feel like the first round. But if it does, it's going in the trash. I think it will cure a YI if you can stand the burning hell you will put your vajay through."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't buy! Just don't buy! I believed I had a yeast infection as I had some itchiness and some discharge (nothing crazy), so I purchased this product. I inserted this just as you are supposed to, and within 10 minutes, my vagina was burning. At first, I thought it would go away after a while, but it got WORSE! After 20 minutes, I went upstairs and got a wet towel and placed it on my vagina, hoping it would work. 40 minutes later, I am now crying in extreme pain as if my vagina is on fire. Another 30 minutes goes by, and I cannot stand the burning and itching anymore and drove to the emergency. The doctor ended up giving me a steroid shot to help with the pain and some cream that ACTUALLY works. DO NOT USE!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product a few days ago. I didn't experience any pain from it until day 3. The first 2 days just involved a lot of itchiness - extremely intense, like fire ants. The third day was when I experienced pain. It was like a heaviness coupled with an extreme burning. It was very unpleasant, but tolerable. I think the severity of pain and itching directly correlates with how bad the infection is, and I think a small amount of pain is to be expected. If it's severe though, do not continue it, just go see your doc. There are alternatives. Also, don't forget that some STDs mimic YIs. If it keeps coming back, it might not be a YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 3 ovules for the first time 1 year ago. I experienced minimal burning and pain, however, my YI symptoms did not get any better after completing the 3-day treatment. I went out and bought Monistat 7. Once I applied the insert, my vagina felt like it had been cut with knives and drenched in lemon juice. I stopped use of Monistat 7 immediately. By the 5th night, my symptoms had reduced, but came back with BV a few days later. I'm currently using Monistat 3 ovule again and have yet to feel any burning. But again, I don't feel my symptoms getting any better. Hopefully, it works this time and doesn't result in BV again! One more thing, it was difficult for me to insert the product given that I am a virgin and do not use tampons."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat before, but today is my first time trying Monistat 3. Let me tell you, this product is horrific and traumatizing. I’ve never had such an intense burn like this in my life! I’ve been running around for 30 minutes trying to see if the pain subsides, and it has compared to when I first inserted, but I’m still in pain. I don’t recommend this product. Never felt this type of discomfort with Monistat 7. Never again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my goodness. If I could give this a 0 star, I would. This was the worst experience of my life. My friend told me to get this, and since she’s experienced with YIs, I thought nothing of looking up reviews. When I discovered I had a YI, I woke my boyfriend up at 8 a.m. to tell him I’m itchy, burning, and in pain, and made him go get me Monistat. I wish I hadn’t. I took it, and not even a minute later, I’m squirming from the itchiness and burning. I have never screamed so loud in my life. It’s like someone put fire sauce in those things. Worst experience of my life. I almost went to the hospital. Don’t take this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, if it wasn’t for these funny and relatable reviews, I would not have been able to finish my third/last day of treatment. I decided to take Monistat after my doctor told me that it would be the most effective way to treat YI during pregnancy, however, I had no idea that it would send me and my vagina on a trip to the inferno! What’s worse is expecting it to not hurt at all and then getting hit almost immediately with the most intense amount of burning and irritation. I thought I didn’t have words to describe it until I stumbled upon these reviews. After laying in bed curled into a ball waiting for the pain to subside (which it didn’t for about half an hour), I started to look up reviews, and boy, I got so much comfort in reading others' similar experiences. Save yourself the $17, use Vagisal wipes if you can, and stay away from this product! Yes, it is effective in treating YI, but prepare yourself for the world of hurt it’s going to cause to your vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst medication ever created. I’m in so much more pain right now after inserting dose 1 of Monistat. I tried to wipe it down and went into the shower to remove as much of it as I could from inside my vagina, but that can be tricky. My head hurts now, and I’m in severe discomfort and burning so bad. Never again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m literally crying as I type this. I’m so upset the instructions wouldn’t include these obviously true side effects, especially after seeing all of their reviews of Monistat are bad and painful! Of course, just like everyone else, I read all the reviews too late. This pain better be worth it..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Definitely some harsh burning immediately after inserting, day 1 & 2. I don’t recall the medicine feeling like this a decade ago. I put the anti-itch cream right after, and it helps, but takes about 5 minutes to kick in. Next time, looking for a natural method, this is painful and irritating!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. The itching and burning I felt within 5 minutes of inserting it was unbearable. There has to be a better solution to a mild yeast infection than pain, discomfort, crying, and exhaustion. Worst night I’ve ever had."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So just as I've read, everyone is stating their horrible symptoms. For me, after inserting the application, I instantly felt an itching, causing me to freak out and Google if it should cause itching, leading me to this site. I have a slight pain/burning, but I removed some of the cream and will douche the rest out as soon as my boyfriend comes to save the day. My pain is at a 3, more uncomfortable than anything, but from reading the comments, I thought it would be in my best interest to remove the rest before the pain gets worse. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first time buying something to treat a YI, as I often leave it and it’ll go away by itself. Man... what a mistake. It’s been a bit over an hour since I used the cream, and I’ve been in crippling pain! The itch... feels like the worst rash combined with hundreds of mosquito bites. It’s so bad I can’t stop crying. I’m hoping for some relief somehow so I can hopefully go to sleep. Please, please spare yourself, ladies, and do not use this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the 1st time I've had a yeast infection and decided to do the 3-day treatment. Itching was a mild 2/3 before medicine. After I used the first application and outer cream, itching was at a 10! I could not stand it! All night long, horrible itching and pain! Cannot be okay! I used a cold washcloth to help ease the itch, but it only subsided a bit before it would wake me up again! Horrible night, up all night!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don’t buy. Chances are you bought this, are in pain, and checking the internet!!! Minutes after I inserted this - terrible burning, itching pain. Like you want to rip your insides out. 100x worse than normal yeast itching. I immediately jumped in the tub and tried to get this cream out. It helped a tiny bit to get some out, but still having a deep burn I can’t scratch inside. I have tried the 7-day and never had this happen. Worst product ever."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use the Monistat 3-day! I wish I would have read the reviews because they are all so true! This product caused more pain. I have used Monistat 7-day in the past (it is a little bit messy), but it’s much better than the 3-day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never, ever use this. I thought I was crazy until I read the reviews. You're not alone, girl. My vag is currently still on fire, and I had to get into a hot shower so my body was relaxed and I could wash this out. I have a very high pain tolerance and could not withhold this for more than 30 minutes. I have never had any issues with Monistat until the 3-day. Lord, please help me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. So, I get yeast infections at least twice a year, and I have never used the 3 pack. It was the very beginning of the yeast infection, so I didn’t have too much discomfort, but after ten minutes of inserting the cream, I almost started to cry. I’ve never, ever had the medicine hurt so badly! It burned and felt like I just wanted to get all of it out of me ASAP! I honestly don't know how I fell asleep, but I did for about an hour and then woke up feeling less pain. Still discomfort, though. I would say the medicine definitely made me have way more discomfort than any other medicine, but I’m assuming that’s because it’s working?! I don’t know, but it hurts. I’m writing this as I am still awake trying to get back to sleep, but truly uncomfortable. At this point, I would not recommend this medication, but I guess we will see if all the pain actually cures me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used for mild yeast infection because my doctor said to try before using Rx Diflucan, and I am BURNING!! The reaction to the medication is SO MUCH WORSE than the symptoms. It was almost immediate after use. I thought it would pass, and I was just uncomfortable due to insertion, but here it is the next morning, and I'm wondering when, if ever, this is going to stop. Burning so bad I considered taking a sleeping pill to sleep off the pain! I have used Monistat 1 with NO problems many times (though OTC meds never fully cure my yeast infections, and I end up at the doctor. I still try them). I don't know what the difference is...no ovule, but why would that matter? This is HORRIBLE - I will never use it again. Not doing second or third dose. Hope Monistat manufacturers read these reviews. Glad I'm not the only one!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you're reading this, it's probably too late, just like the rest of us: I thought I would try to use Monistat 3 for my mild YI. Worst mistake I've ever made in my life. I inserted the cream, I didn't even have time to stand up fully and pull my drawers up before the burning took over. I thought I was allergic, I thought about calling an ambulance, and 20 minutes later, I even thought about calling the funeral home because my vagina was dying, and so was I. I was in tears, I was gasping for air, and I was praying to the Lord to take the pain away. I felt as if someone crushed some peppers, added some acid, threw in some glass and Legos, and shoved it straight up in my cooch. Inside and out, I was on fire, I felt like I was birthing a dragon. Nothing helped, and it only got worse. DON'T use Monistat. I’d take the YI over that fire crotch any day!"
