For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. Let me just say, that “white egg” is something else. I had a yeast infection about a week ago for the first time, and I decided to try an “at-home treatment.” Worst idea ever, let me tell you. Monistat 1 is one of the stronger ones, and oh, sis, it sure is. I inserted that egg in my vagina pretty far up there. The first hour was fine, I actually felt soothed and less irritated. Then, hour two and holy, you better expect to stay up all night because there's no way you can escape the pain. I felt like red ants were climbing through my whole vagina. The next morning, I felt the same pain but less intense, and it finally went away after 2 days of treatment. The only thing that kept me sane that night was reading these comments all night. They were hilarious. But it’s really not funny when you're going through it. Note to self: go to the doctor and get a prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing getting me through this literal nightmare of a situation is reading these comments and knowing I’m not alone. I took Monistat 1 when I was younger and I’m not sure if my pain tolerance has lowered after childbirth, or if they changed the formula, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Unless you want to be up at 2 am holding yourself with a wash rag trying to search ways to get the demon out of you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat should be ashamed for putting this on shelves. I took it at about 10 pm and woke up at midnight feeling like someone had sprayed an entire can of pepper spray on my vagina, then lit a match. I literally googled “unbearable burning, itching, and pain after Monistat.” DO NOT USE IT. I am writing this review while laying in the shower, vagina up, trying to rinse this godforsaken stuff out of my vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product last night, and after about an hour, I was in severe discomfort. The burning was like nothing I experienced before, my skin down there was on fire, really painful. I can’t believe that a medication to treat itching and burning could be so abrasive. I eventually took OTC pain meds (ibuprofen and Tylenol) and a cold compress to get to sleep. Today is better, and the original itching is basically gone. But you really have to go through the fire to get to the relief. Hope the folks at Monistat will work on a gentler formulation that would be just as effective."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. Hour one, I was feeling fine... decrease in YI symptoms. Happy. Hour two? Burning, blazing fire, an inferno. Where do the flames come from? I was wailing, spread bald eagle in front of my AC. I took painkillers. I gently laid some wet paper towels. Nothing. Finally fell asleep after two more hours and lots of pain. It is now day two, and I’m still irritated (not as bad, but worse than my YI). According to other reviews, it should calm down in uhhh about a day or two but I don’t know. Just go to the doctor. I’m begging you. Just go to the doctor. Your copay and medicine price mean nothing in the face of this California forest fire. 0/10. Save yourself."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stay away!! I used Monistat over a decade ago. Some reviews say that the burning is because it’s not a yeast infection. Untrue! This Monistat is a different formula, and whatever they put in it causes extreme burning! My labia minor and major burned in ways I cannot describe. The inflammation is not minimal! Please don’t purchase this product. On day 1, there was some mild discomfort and itching. Day 2 was by far the worst as the product began to slowly seep out, and I was up all night in pain and agony. Day 3, the “chunks” of the egg start to come out, and I finally felt relief. It is now Day 4, and there is some itching, but barely noticeable. Don’t use this product. Please! The FDA needs to investigate this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I just got out of the shower at 3:30 AM when I have to be up for my day in 3.5 hours. My vagina feels like someone lit a match and shoved it up my vagina where it didn't burn out, and at the same time, someone is roasting my vulva with a lighter like a marshmallow. My vagina hurt less directly after giving birth. I'd rather have a yeast infection for the rest of my life than ever try this product again. If you came to the reviews trying to figure out how to stop the pain, just lay down in the bath and let the water rinse everything off... it doesn't stop the pain completely, but it lowers it enough where I finally stopped crying."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First, I never write reviews, but that awful thing y'all put in a pack and call it Monistat 1 is the meanest. So I tried the Monistat 1, and for the first hour, I was good, I could actually see light at the end of the tunnel. But after that hour is when it all went wrong! The pain is unbearable, there’s no way you can sleep or do anything but lay in your bed or take cold baths. The pain is so bad I know I cried for Jesus a few times. For some reason, every time I hollered, 'Help me, Lord, please,' I’d feel better for a second. I don’t recommend anyone to take this product unless you love pain and want to lose sleep and be calling on the Lord all night, then go for it. PSA to anybody that said it worked for me and it was gone the next day - that was a lie from the pit of lava - it didn't even work."

This awful cream's itch and pain will only intensify the more you scratch. Scratching makes small tears and will make your coochie even more mad. To help with the itching and burning, run a warm bath, hop in there to soothe it. Lightly wash the outer area with just water. After, you can purchase cooling wipes and use those as needed. But whatever you do, refrain from scratching down there. It will only intensify that ever-lasting flame in your vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The itching is very, very intense about 5 minutes after you use it. It goes away (I've used it before) this same reaction happened last time, and I'm sure this is how the product works. After my 1-day treatment, my infection went away! It's a good product and gets the job done. Although I could do without the mad itching feeling... It really does help, you just have to get over the few hours of pain and itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was a horrible experience. I had a pretty bad YI and was itching and burning. Thought I'd go ahead and get the one dose to knock it out. I thought I was itching and burning before using this medication. After I put it in, I applied some of the vaginal cream, and it felt like lava was burning my crotch. I quickly grabbed the enclosed wipes and washed it off, thank goodness for those little blessings. I think someone on the marketing team had a sense of humor. Those little gems were the only thing in the $20 box worth anything at all. I ended up laying down for an hour waiting to see what would happen. As time passed, the burning and pain progressed where I was about in tears, so I went and sat in the bath to rinse it out. So, I'm now a little over 2 hours out from my application, and it's throbbing and still burning a little. Please don't subject yourself to this stuff. It's literally the worst thing I've ever purchased."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, got an antibiotic for something else. Then I got a YI, so decided I would try the Monistat 1. Let me tell you this is easily the worst choice I have ever made. I am in so much pain, the burning is nothing like I have ever experienced. Currently crying because I cannot get this pain to go away! Please contact your doctor about another option, I do not want anyone to go through this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG... This girl is on fire!!! My lady bits feel like a raging fire pit is brewing down there. Who invented this??? While I appreciate the less mess and one-day option this provides, I can say I may never be able to use my vagina again. I, like many of you, was hoping for the short-term wonder and haven't used this product before. When there is a next time, I will be seeing any doctor to get me the pill - I don't care if they want to check it all out before they prescribe. I have a higher tolerance for pain, and currently, my bits are being iced and my eyes are filled with tears. In for a long night... we shall wait and see if it is worth it. Hopefully, this pain is the yeast infection burning a slow fiery death. Good luck, ladies, and may the odds be in your favor!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE EVER!! This Monistat 1 burns your vagina, your skin, it burns everything down there. Please believe these comments, they are true. I will never use this product ever again. I pray that I never have a YI for a while. If I do, I will definitely try something else or a home remedy!!!!! For Vaginal Yeast Infection "HELP ME!!! This is quite possibly the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I suffer from chronic UTIs and have a pretty high pain tolerance when it comes to my vag. At least I thought... I bought the 1-day cream and before I even finished the whole tube, my entire vagina was on fire. It’s taken everything in me not to take myself to the ER. I’ve used Monistat 3 before, so I thought Monistat 1 wouldn’t be any different. I WAS WRONG. Just as the other comments say, the first hour I was totally fine. Then, out of nowhere, it was like Satan himself attacked my V with the fires of Hell. I’m in so much pain I could literally cry. The original discomfort of the YI was much less painful than this. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m eighteen and just had my first yeast infection due to an antibiotic. While the YI irritation is... irritating, it's NOTHING compared to the torture that you can experience if you use M1. Thirty minutes in, the itching increased. Thinking this was normal, I did an internet search for reviews. By the time I realized my mistake, I was too far gone. I live in a dorm, and the pain was so bad I had to get to the showers. Showering helps, but staying in there forever isn’t an option. I read that an ice pack was helpful. But alas, I don’t have a freezer. And of course, there is nothing in the communal fridge. I ended up purchasing old-fashioned popsicles and am hoping to help another poor soul make a better decision - with two popsicles wrapped in paper towels between my legs. Long story short - love yourself. Don’t use this. But if you do, rinse and any form of ice pack you can get your hands on."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I noticed after taking antibiotics I had started itching down there. Decided to use the Equate brand vaginal insert thing. I was driving down the road and literally felt like I was starting to push a 15 lb baby that was on fire out of my vagina. Needless to say, it was all I could do to get back home and shower. Everything is super red/purple and hurts 10,000 times worse than before using the product. Never again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Without doing any research, I picked up the Monistat 1, hoping I could find some relief after taking a Diflucan and it not working. Now it’s 3 am, and I have ice packs in between my legs trying to resolve the burning and itching this medicine caused. I took a shower and put the ovule in, and everything was fine. I was laying in bed and got up to make food when the medication started leaking, and once it hit the outside, I was in awful pain, burning and itching. It was CONSTANT and would not stop. I tried washing it all out, but now I’m in bed trying to find relief still. DO NOT BUY."
