For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I started getting the usual YI symptoms and wanted it to be gone as soon as possible. Read up that Monistat was a faster way than the pill. Let me just say, I WISH I just called for the pill. I used the Monistat 1 and everything seemed fine, but then about an hour later, my hooha was on FIRE. The symptoms seemed like 10x worse than they were!!! Ugh, it’s the worst pain! It’s been about 5 hours and it’s STILL burning. So uncomfortable, so annoying. I wanted to go to the ER, but then I found these reviews and I really wish I saw them before I purchased. I’m going to give it till morning and I’m hoping it’ll go away, but I don’t know how I can even get through another hour! It’s an easy process, the pain is just not worth it. Definitely DO NOT recommend. Get the pill!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a yeast infection for about 4 days when I decided to try Monistat one last time. I had used it in the past with the burning and itching, but it was mild. Holy on fire vagina!!! It feels like I used a firebrand as a tampon! They have had to change the formula. I had level 3 endometriosis and a child through natural childbirth, and this stuff is right up next to those pains. After 30 min, I was on fire and in so much pain! Put the box down, ladies. Call a clinic or go to your Dr and just get the yeast infection medicine - this stuff is not worth it! If you're like me and Googling 'is this normal' or 'will I die,' and you've already inserted the little bead from hell, grab an ice pack and breathe through it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "USE ORAL TREATMENTS IF YOU CAN! Currently been awake since 3 am in extreme pain because my vagina is pulsing and itchier than ever before. I inserted the egg before I went to bed and woke up with a fire in my vagina. Almost feeling slightly nauseous. I am in so much pain, or stomach pain is a side effect. Not sure if I should hold out and not sleep or run into the shower and take it all out. I don’t even know if the product works, so I am unsure if it’s worth keeping on. All I know is my vagina is on FIRE and extremely ITCHY due to the Monistat... just trying to sleep through the pain but cannot."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat in the past. I get YI's after antibiotics. Normally, it's such a relief to start the medication. This time, I immediately felt like my vagina was on fire. Agony. I took out what I could and tried again with a generic 3-day cream and have relief. No pain. I think this was a bad batch because this has never happened to me before, and I always use the Monistat 1 day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My experience is not like some in these comments. I feel a warm sensation, but it's expected because they are fighting in there. And a fight may cause some pain. But not too extreme. The warming sensation makes me feel okay, it's working. I'd rather the product kill all those bad yeasties in there than walk around with the problem. We will see tomorrow how I feel, but I'm sure it's doing its job. The key is when you use it, you got to put it way up there as far as you can. And it may be best to do it before bed, that way, you can sleep through most of the process. Best wishes :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had no idea the reviews on this product were so negative. That was until I used it, and just like everyone else, here I sit with dramatically increased itching and burning. Now in the bath trying to soothe my vagina and distract myself from, at best, a very uncomfortable and at worst, truly painful experience. This sucks. Medicine should not make your symptoms worse! Why hasn’t the manufacturer changed the formula?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Typically, I take the pill, but because of COVID, I could not see the doc right away, so I went to the good ol’ Wally World and bought Monistat once again. This time, I got Monistat 1 Triazole and Monistat 1 Miconazole combo pack. I tried the Triazole first, had no issues, and my symptoms improved greatly the next morning. But my stupid ass figured I’d also try the Miconazole combo pack 2 nights later to make sure the yeast was gone. Well, I made it worse!! At 3:30, I woke up with intense itching, burning, and pain, and after washing and using warm compresses, I was able to fall back to sleep around 4:30 am with a wet towel between my legs, no underwear or PJs made it feel better for some reason. I woke up feeling better but still itchy and irritated worse than before! I’d stick to the pill or try an antifungal that works best with your vag. Mine had no issues with the Triazole. Also, the stores should just sell the pill, it should not be a damn prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the one-dose ovule because I'm a 'let's hurry up and get this over with' kind of person. It's been a little over 24 hours since I inserted the ovule, and I'm still on fire. I hurt so bad I almost can't walk. I'm swollen so bad that I can't stand even for the cotton cloth of my clothing to touch me. I had to sleep with an ice pack between my legs last night! I have a pretty high pain tolerance - given birth 3 times and have passed numerous kidney stones - but this is ridiculous!! I called the doctor today, and they phoned out some Diflucan. Don't waste your money on this product. It's not worth the pain!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this today for my yeast infection, and first only used the cooling wipes and the itching cream, and it was great. The cream worked wonders, and the cooling wipes were alright. Then I decided, once I got home this afternoon, to insert the ovule. Worst decision I've ever made. Within an hour, I first began to feel extreme itching. Then that turned to burning. The worst pain I have EVER felt. The medicine in the ovule just kept coming out as discharge. I'm still in an insane amount of pain hours after, slightly reduced though. I took a bath and now have ice on my vagina. Definitely never using this product again!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After putting this in, I felt okay for a couple of hours, slight discomfort but nothing too bad. Around 4 hours later, the excruciating burning and itching started, I wanted to call 911. It was so uncomfortable and painful, I followed others' advice and took a Benadryl and some ibuprofen before trying to sleep. I also put a tampon in overnight to absorb this stuff because I needed to get rid of this feeling - and I will say that helped. Woke up today feeling okay - not 100%, but definitely nowhere near as bad as last night. That pain is not worth it - I would go with the 3 or 7 day or suck it up and call your doctor for fluconazole."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I repeat DO NOT BUY! I ended up with a chemical burn down there, and I have never been in so much pain. It felt like Satan was establishing his new shop between my legs. This product needs to be taken off the shelves. Do yourself a favor and swing by the doctor to get the Fluconazole pill."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I am on my 6th day after taking the product, and I have literal chemical burns on my labia and opening. I cannot sit nor walk properly because of this product. After 3 days of pain and crying myself to sleep every night, I decided to douche to get most of that paste out of me, and it was the best decision I ever made in my life. Do yourself a favor and go see your OBGYN and get the pill, nothing is worth having a fire crotch for days on end. Even Daenerys Targaryen wouldn't want that dragon breath near her."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "To echo the peanut gallery - HOLY HECK, the floodgates of hell were unleashed from this entirely unsuspecting egg, and I'll never forget this trauma. I inserted it painlessly around 12:30 am, and at 3:05 am, I awoke to the feeling of my vulva being poked with a red-hot fire poker. Innocently, I gave it a scratch, and dear Lord, did I pay dearly for it. The next 30 minutes was a combination of me peeing, trying to remove the excess cream, sitting on an ice pack, Advil, then more Advil, hydrocortisone cream, and tears. I’ve never experienced a pain or burning sensation quite like this. And to those claiming “it’s not that bad,” “if you’re having a reaction, it’s because you have BV and not a YI…” - based on my experience, this is not the case. I used the three-day treatment while having BV (because I was uneducated at the time) and had none of these sensations. I think the assumption that the one-day treatment is too concentrated is likely right."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you’re reading this and you haven’t taken it yet, DO NOT DO IT! I’m telling you, I read all of the reviews thinking that my experience would be different and I would be fine. But I was extremely wrong. Like all these other ladies, the pain was unbearable. I was in the shower for hours watching Scooby-Doo on my phone to distract me, lol. I never leave reviews on things, but I just had to warn you guys. Please do not make the mistake we all made. It does get rid of the infection, but the pain was simply not worth it. As for those who read the reviews after they took it (like me), a cold compress and a shower will help. Take Advil PM so you can fall asleep faster!! Good luck, girlies."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Would never recommend this product to anyone. Felt like I was on fire and had horrible pain. Also bled for 3 days. Doctor told me she never recommended this to anyone because of how harsh it is. I’ve used the 7-day treatment and never had any problems."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have to say that some of the reactions here are so bad for some people, I'm sorry! The Monistat 1 worked perfectly fine! The suppository was easy and simple! I took mine when I got home from work one afternoon, and because I wasn't feeling the best, I just laid down. I didn't have to lay with a towel under me or anything. No messy discharge at all! The next morning, I was still kind of sore and irritated, but NOTHING like the day before. Also! The deep itch is GONE! And I think that's the hardest part! I feel like using this product at the onset of symptoms and you'll be good to go in a few days! Also! I'm combining this with a natural remedy, which is a little jojoba oil and tea tree oil! Put some of this around your area and let it work its way in! You'll feel relief and smell great! Good luck, ladies!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my, I should have looked this up. I was at work, and I put the egg in, and then an hour later I got an unbearable pain down there, and it was itching so bad and drying my stuff out, and it started to bleed a bit. This pain was worse than the YI. DO NOT GET THIS. Had to leave work early, and it was extremely busy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg, if you are reading this, it’s too damn late. This was my first YI, and I didn’t know what to do. So my dumb ass googled it and saw that Monistat kept popping up, so I picked it up at Walmart. I’ve had like two sleepless nights because it was so itchy, felt like I was eating jalapeños and then stuck them up there! I've been trying the creams, and that would only relieve it for about an hour, and then it comes right back! So, the third night, I decided to use the Monistat 1 day treatment, and OMG, instant burning. The pain would not go away. I was up at 3 am walking around and icing my lady down there. Then after 4 hours of pain, I fell asleep and woke up better but still had a slight burning sensation. Would not recommend. I should have just made a doctor's appointment to get the pill!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a slight infection, so I bought the Monistat. They were out of my normal 3-day, so I grabbed 1 day. This was the worst decision I've made. It's been 10 hours, and I'm still in pain with no end in sight, and I'm good with pain. About 15-30 minutes after putting in the medicine, I was on fire. Seriously, the worst poison I've ever had. It felt like I was ripped all open, and then someone poured lava on it. I then started to have bleeding about 5 hours in from it. The medicine drips a little, and it was coming out pink due to blood from what I assume is burning my vagina insides. I'm also so swollen down there, my entire vagina is raw and swollen. I'm giving it another day before I go to the doctor, praying I wake up better...but seriously, please, please take this stuff off the shelf. This burn is not normal! Yes, they say it may burn more slightly, but not enough to actually make you bleed! I'm wondering if it gave me a chemical burn."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely the worst product ever. Thought maybe it would be better to use some, Valentine's is coming, and it would only take a day to cure. I put the product in and immediately regretted it. It started burning and itching right away. I ignored it and went to bed around 11:30. I have now been up since 2 am crying in immense pain while my lady parts are on fire and swollen to the gods. The only thing keeping me going is the reviews. Do not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, I took the egg at 6:30 pm, and it felt so much better within an hour. I applied the cream 3 hours later, and holy hell, my legs were shaking from how much pain I was in. Do NOT use the cream unless you want to feel the devil dancing on your cooter! That was so painful, it had me almost falling to the floor with how bad my poor kitty cat hurt. Disregard the cream and just let that egg do her thing. It has stopped itch, pain, and swelling almost completely within 9 hours of use. I recommend it if your discharge is cottage cheese-like and your labia is on fire. It stopped it immediately after use, but I used the cream and immediately regretted it. Reformulate the cream with soothing ingredients instead of an actual fire-starting cream. This is my first yeast infection, and I am glad I used the little egg, it actively gets yeast, and you can feel it fight off the absolute inferno that happens. Again, STAY AWAY FROM THE CREAM unless you want to sit in an ice-cold bath for 35 minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It’s been a week and a day since I took Monistat 1, and I am still itchy and burning from it. The egg has not dissolved fully yet either, and I don't know if I need to go to the doctor to get it cleaned out of me or what, but I am still in pain. Trust my comment and do not take this. I thought something was actually seriously wrong with me, but thanks to this group chat, it kept me from rushing to the doctor."

"So please don't scratch, rub, or mess with your vag before using this product for your own safety. Anyways, I got this product for the first time. At first, it wasn't bad at all. I did it during the day and then took a nap. First mistake. So now I know why it says to take it at bedtime, because when you walk around, it leaks and makes you look like you pissed yourself. And as the day went on, I spent a night at my boyfriend's house. Big mistake. The itching and burning came back with a vengeance. OMG!!!! I tried to hide it from him, that I was scratching and legit dying. I could not wait to go home. And with all the scratching I did when I applied the anti-itch cream, Lord, please help me now!!! It burned so bad, and the Monistat got my vag swollen and in pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use!!!! I ended up in tears and had a panic attack in the shower. It put me in so much pain. The burning is worse than the internal tearing I had when I had my first baby. I'm raw and can barely move. I'm now in bed, still in pain with an ice pack on my vagina. Worst decision of my life, and I'm being completely serious."
