For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you can handle your lady biscuit to be on fire, this is right for you! Their 'mild burning' as a side effect is not mild. It feels like I wiped with a napkin full of hot sauce. Oh my gosh, it's TERRIBLE! I got this to treat my yeast infection, hoping to avoid oral capsules. Applying: uncomfortable, but manageable. The cream they include helped at first. An hour in: Eh, it was sorta burning, but I was still able to manage. I figured, 'hey, this must be the mild burning they warned about.' Four hours in, and it feels like I used Icy Hot on my vagina! It's burning, tingling, & I can literally feel my heartbeat in my vagina! Don't even get me started on peeing - it feels like I'm peeing ghost pepper! Tried showering, then tried to rinse the medication off. Literally to the point of possibly going to the emergency room."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so last year, I took Monistat 1 when I thought I had a yeast infection (turned out to be BV), and my god, it burned so much. Anyway, I took metronidazole, and it went away. I say this because I had a yeast infection this week diagnosed by my doctor, took Monistat 1, and it didn't burn at all. For the women that this medication burns for, you might not have a yeast infection. Do not self-diagnose, go to your doctor and have them check you for BV and yeast. They have similar symptoms, but you won’t know until they test it. If you need diagnosis that day, have them check your sample under a microscope and do a pH test. If your pH is way off, it’s BV, and if it’s normal, it’s probably a yeast infection. Trust me. This medication is not supposed to hurt. It does tingle at times, but it’s not supposed to be insane. If you actually have a yeast infection, don’t be scared to use this. I just took it yesterday, so I don’t know if it works, but I’ll post an update in a couple of days."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I experienced relief from the itching within a couple of hours, so I know it worked. However, it has made my skin irritated and inflamed. The exterior cream gave me a terrible burning and tingling sensation that lasted for days, even after repeated efforts to wash it off. Next time I will just go to the doctor and try to get a prescription because this isn't worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used it before and it works, so I'm back. Inserted about 4 pm, it's now 11:30 pm. Besides a slight tingle, so far, so good. Itching actually decreased. Definitely will get a better night's sleep tonight. For me, it really is not that bad."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection before and used Monistat 3 and had no negative symptoms. However, I figured I’d use Monistat 1 because it would work faster (at least I thought). The Thursday night I inserted the medication, I felt tingling and itching immediately. I figured it was just the medicine doing its job. All night I tossed and turned from being so uncomfortable. The next morning, I woke up in excruciating pain and discomfort. I felt like I inserted icy-hot into my vagina. It was difficult to even walk. I was hoping this torture would only last one day, but the itchiness and burning lasted around 4 days for me. Every day of showering, I’d attempt to wash out as much of the medication as I was able to without hurting myself more. And yes, just touching the skin was painful, I had almost thought I had a chemical burn. Please DO NOT buy Monistat 1!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After being on antibiotics 3 or so times in the last couple of months... I've been struggling with a YI for a couple of days now, and I don't think I've had one this bad. I was treating the symptoms of the itching and assisting with burning. Once the discharge presented itself, I sprung for the Monistat 1. I inserted the ovule about 30 minutes or so ago and used the cream. First things first, never using that cream again. Made my bits burn, that's for sure. As for the ovule-it's definitely doing something up there. Lol. Feels kind of warm and tingly, and not in a good way, lol. I've stayed lying down, so I have not yet noticed any discharge yet. I'm going to get some sleep and see how it is when I wake up."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I had a UTI, and I’ve been on an antibiotic, and I started to feel like I was getting a YI, so my aunt told me to go get a Monistat 1 Combination Pack, so I did. I inserted it and had it in for probably 5 minutes, then I started to feel kind of tingly and weird in my vag, so I looked up reviews, read a few on here of how awful it was, and I ran to the bathroom and dug the darn thing out. I was like, I don't need to be burnt down there, lol!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Placed the vaginal insert inside my lady bits, and then applied the external cream and waited. About 20 minutes later, the whole area started to feel warm and tingly, as if I had rubbed a vapor rub all over my honey pot. At first, I was nervous not knowing if this was normal or how intense this “heat” would get. After about 15 minutes, when it leveled out and stopped increasing in intensity, I actually didn’t mind it. It kind of felt interesting and not at all unpleasant. And the best thing is it actually worked and got rid of the infection."
