For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been mega itchy for the past week, had a busy weekend up ahead, and thought I was going to do the 1-day treatment to get it out of my hair… BIG MISTAKE! I’d say 75% of it almost immediately leaked out, making a total mess. And then, came THE ITCH. The itch going on right now makes me want to take sandpaper to my labia, I would have preferred to yeast infection itch to this. I will definitely be doing a more prolonged treatment next time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never had a YI until 3 years ago during pregnancy. Unfortunately, I have had them since. Normally use the off-brand OTC YI medication insert, and they seem to never work. First time using Monistat 1, and it seems to be working!! Didn't have trouble inserting it or using it. No burning or itching from the ovule!! It's been almost 24 hours, no discharge, no burning, no itching, no odor. I am very pleased with this product and recommend it. Well worth $18!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Same like most of you, I had a really junk experience! I put it in around midnight, woke up around 2 am to pee, and OMG! I seriously wanted to rip my kitty off! She was extremely itchy and burning! I jumped in the shower and just rinsed it! It kinda helped. After I got out, I ended up using a cream that I already had from my last YI a couple of years ago called nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. That helped some. (My last YI I went to the doctors and got prescribed the pill.) When I woke up in the morning, I had really bad cramps that haven’t gone away. Discharge is not a lot but there. Also, I have some rash in my vagina! Technically, it hasn’t been a full 24 hours yet, midnight is in a couple of hours, so I hope that I feel better soon. I do not recommend this product at all!!! I wish I had read reviews first :( I should not have been lazy to go see my doctor!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I keep forgetting how unbearable Monistat is. I didn’t want to wait to see a doctor to get an Rx for Diflucan, so I used Monistat. I have two boxes in my apartment just in case I get a yeast infection. I get them if I eat a lot of pasta and unhealthy foods or if I’m on antibiotics. When I first put it in, it feels like fire worms are crawling inside of me. Don’t expect to sleep tonight. I think taking this on a weekend is best, if you have the option. Just know that the reason why it’s burning/itching is because it’s destroying the infection. Watch some bad TV and distract yourself. Good luck. It works. I prefer the 1 ovule. I want to get it over with. You’re not alone. I’m getting an Rx with refills next time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used it before and it works, so I'm back. Inserted about 4 pm, it's now 11:30 pm. Besides a slight tingle, so far, so good. Itching actually decreased. Definitely will get a better night's sleep tonight. For me, it really is not that bad."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Seriously, this product should be taken off the market. What started out as itching and irritation is now a full-blown brutal burning sensation. Honestly, this product should have a skull and crossbones on it. ☠"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a YI on the last day of my period and honestly thought it was just irritation from a dry tampon. Thus, when I woke up 2 days later, I had bad swelling and itching. I took the tablet because I’m staying with my bf. I was already in excruciating discomfort, so for the first few hours, the itch cream actually relieved me enough to get some work done. (Took it about 2 pm). Around midnight, I started getting really uncomfortable again, but just forced myself to bed. Day two (today), I woke up and all my YI swelling is gone, so it’s definitely working its magic, however, after I peed, the itching and burning came back from the medicine. Would I do it again? Only if I NEEDED to. I’ll give it 6 stars because it is working, just not my favorite. I would definitely not recommend it for anyone with mild symptoms because it’ll just cause unnecessary pain, but for people who are on the more severe side of symptoms like myself, it’s roughly the same feeling throughout your healing process."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had burning and itch and cottage cheese discharge, so I bought Monistat 1. I inserted it at 9:30 a.m., and it’s almost 2:00 p.m. and I’ve been on fire ever since! I took a bath with baking soda that helped, but now I look like I am blistering outside my v-jj! It is seriously uncomfortable, and it’s the weekend! I’m not about to go to the ER or Urgent Care to a total stranger. I guess I’ll be up most of tonight in intense pain! Take this off the market!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "When I first inserted it, it felt fine. I didn't feel anything until about an hour later, and then it felt like toxic lava in my vagina. It itched so bad, and I was so swollen. It felt like my vajayjay was about to bust on the inside, but I kept putting warm compresses on it and applying the ointment. When the time came, I took a really hot bath and just soaked my vajayjay in the hot water, cleaned real good, and reapplied the cream. I felt so much better. The swelling went down, and currently no more itching and burning. It feels like complete relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Woke up at 12:30 am after using all three steps, so itchy that I couldn’t move, so much liquid coming out of me it was insane. Got into the shower still in pain, and now have an ice pack, more itching than burning. Worst thing ever, 10x more itch than yeast infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on day 3 of a yeast infection. On my first day, I took the Monistat 1 cream injection, which worked okay, but I still had symptoms by day 3, so I bought the Monistat 1 ovule. I inserted it, about an hour later, I had excruciating itching and burning than before. It was so unbearable I actually cried and stood in the shower for like 30 minutes. Now it feels much better, no more pain. I should have done my research first! Others say that the Monistat 3 and 7 are much better because the medication is less intense. The Monistat 1 is very intense, once it starts to break down, the medicine is so strong it causes worse itching. I recommend the 3 or 7."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I found this site after doing a search on severe burning and itching after using the above product the night before. I see I am not alone. Pure misery and a sleepless night. The itching and burning intensified after having to go to the bathroom at 3:30 a.m. I had to keep getting up and wiping with cold paper towels. With this many complaints, I also wonder why it’s still on the shelves. Obviously, something is not right."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was on antibiotics and I developed a YT (surprise there!) and it was pretty mild, just a bit of itching and a bit of burning, but I was fine. STILL, I decided to get Monistat One Day and have it gone. So I put it in before bed at 12 am and I’m awakened by 3:48 am and my vagina is itching and burning like there’s no other. I had to wash it out, and I’m still laying here, and I can’t sleep because the inside of my vag is on fire, the itching medicine just made it worse. I remember using this last year, and it worked, so I’m so upset that this hurts more than the actual infection. Ugh, I just need to sleep."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Last time I had a YI, I used the generic brand, and it was the worst pain I had ever felt. But this time around, I went with the M-1. Things to note: my 1st YI was further along than my 2nd when I realized that something was wrong down there. I think that's what caused the painful aftermath of the inserted generic brand ovule. This time around, I caught it early and got the M-1. I braced myself for the burning, itching, and the swelling, seeing how most reviews described it and my own past experience resurfaced. But it never came. I'm happy to say that I did NOT have any pain or burning after the insertion of the M-1. It did itch a bit, but that has since gone away. The discharge is minimal. I did notice some of the medicine came out when I urinated, but nothing else. Where I feel things went wrong with my previous experience is that it was already burning, itching, and swollen by the time I did anything about it. I agree that this medicine may not be for all, but I'm sure glad that I used it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn't experience what everyone else did. Sounds like they are allergic to it. No burning, stinging, or itch. I felt better the next day, which is today. I do recommend this product. I used two others, and they did not work: Yeast Gard and an off-brand Monistat. If you're not allergic, don't be afraid to use it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I put the insert about an hour or two ago, and I am already experiencing very severe itching that is turning into burning. The itching I was experiencing before inserting the egg thing was nothing compared to this. I've tried applying the itch cream that comes with the 1-day treatment, but it does not help at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is probably the most convenient way to rid yourself of a YI. Unfortunately, when I used it, I had unbearable itching that woke me up 2 hours into my sleep. I found that Desitin (baby rash cream) does well to take the itch away almost instantly, making it easier for me to sleep through the night."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had itching after being on 10 days of antibiotics, so I decided to try this for the first time ever. I had already inserted the ovule when I began to read these reviews. I became quite nervous and even considered trying to remove it. I had zero burning and actually felt nothing but almost immediate relief. No burning, just relief from the lotion as well. I am so happy that I did not read these reviews before purchasing or inserting the product. I never would’ve bought it and would’ve continued to feel discomfort."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read on the back of the pack and noticed the extremely high dosage of medicine, 1200 versus the 3-day that has 200 per treatment. That’s twice as much even on the 3-day treatment. I assumed because it was a one-day treatment, it had to be higher. I assumed correctly. I wiped with the provided cooling wipes first, then inserted the egg-like pill with the provided applicator. Right after I put it in, I felt a slight burn, I then applied the cream and went and sat down. I will not lie, YES it does burn and itch, BUT that’s a side effect of the medicine working quickly. Also, you should not use this product for a minor yeast infection, you’ll more than likely just end up hurting yourself. I would only recommend this for a very bad yeast infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I woke up with very mild itching and burning and immediately knew I was going to get a yeast infection. It had been 5 years since I had one but remember it well. I went to the store and bought the 1-day dose to just knock the infection out. Later that night I used it and it was fine for the first 15 minutes, then the burning and itching were intensified times 100!!!! It turned into the longest night of my life! The itch was so intense I didn't know what to do! The burning made me so uncomfortable! I tried rinsing it out but it wasn't working! By the time morning came, my vagina was so swollen and still itchy and burning. NEVER AGAIN will I use this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After a course of antibiotics, I had some slight discharge for a week, no itching or burning, but I thought I should go ahead and use a Monistat. I popped it in at 9:30 and went to bed. At 1:30 a.m., I was ripped from my sleep by the most horrible itching. There is no way I'm going back to sleep tonight. Thank goodness I don't have to work tomorrow. There is no way I could function normally. I will just lay here till I deem it a reasonable hour to take a shower and hopefully get some relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY. At first, there was absolutely no burning or itching. About two hours later, I was running to the bathroom to try to rinse it out! It is now 2:53 am and I have an ice pack between my legs. LITERALLY BURNING! I can’t keep still because it’s so irritating! My vagina is all red and swollen and I can’t sleep. For the love of vaginas, do not get this product. It’s absolutely miserable!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used the Monistat 1 before, and I'm getting the same reaction now. Inserted the egg around 6 pm and external cream. Hours after, I had to pee, and some of the egg leaked, which made me itch like crazy. I like to think it's because the medicine is working. Same thing happened the first time years ago I tried Monistat 1. Real bad itching, like you want to squirm and cry and scream. Last time, I literally sat on the toilet and pushed. Now I just end up washing with cold towels to take the cream off because I just can't handle it after a while. It's 3 am now, and I'm much better, just slight itching. Can't wait till it's over. Unfortunately, it is an extremely uncomfortable process, but Monistat 1 does the trick. Ladies, good luck!"
