For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be after reading the comments. Everyone is different, we have different reactions. I chose the one day, thinking the faster the better, and I’d used the three-day pack previously years ago. So I used the ovule and THEN read the reviews. Honestly, I was terrified. But I’m a CNA (certified nursing assistant) and know that with a yeast infection suppository treatment, there can be burning and itching, depending on your body and the severity of the infection. I noticed a warm feeling about an hour after I put it in, but it wasn’t terrible. When the burning and slight itch got uncomfortable, I used a Vagisil cream for sensitive skin, DON'T use the one provided with the kit. So this is the night after I took it, I feel like most of the medicine has absorbed or discharged, and my infection seems to feel better. So far, it seems to be working."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the Monistat one-day product, felt the burning and itching within 30 minutes. I was in the library studying and literally had to leave so I could go home and shower. I tried to get it out, but it is virtually impossible, so I guess I will just have to wait it out. The ease is not worth the side effects, go to a doctor and have something, ANYTHING other than this prescribed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am pregnant and found out I had a YI, so I brought Monistat 1, and at first, when I inserted the ovule, I was fine. Then about 30 minutes to an hour later, I had to pee, and I noticed the ovule had begun to melt, and some was coming out. Then right after that, my vagina began to itch and burn like fire! It hurts so bad I cannot even explain, nor can I sleep! A cold towel down there makes it feel a bit better, but not completely. I mean, after reading the reviews, I won't purchase again! It's horrible. I want to rip my vag off!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ugh, ugh, ugh! I got this thinking it would help with my yeast infection, but oh my lord, I'm dying here. I honestly want to cry. The burning and itching are almost unbearable. I have no clue how to make it stop. I took what was left of the oval thing out, wiped with a cold wet cloth, attempted to rinse off with water, and I'm still experiencing itching and burning. Should have just gone to the doctor. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! SAVE YOURSELF! IF NOT MONEY, THEN PAIN!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I developed a yeast infection from antibiotics and used Monistat 1 after a 7-day treatment didn't work. I was fine until I peed for the first time since using it, and I am in severe pain, terrible itching, and internal burning, and even bleeding. Do not use this product unless you’re prepared for an insane amount of pain and discomfort. I am currently sitting with an ice pack between my legs, trying to Google ways to flush this awful egg out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a mild YI and decided to get the 1-day to expedite the process and did not want to visit my doctor due to COVID restrictions. Purchased the 1-day and used it at bedtime. I’m currently up at 2:36 am in pain from the burning and itching sensation. Definitely will never use this product again. I’m currently lying in bed with a cold washcloth on my lady parts to soothe the burning. Will never use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had no idea the reviews on this product were so negative. That was until I used it, and just like everyone else, here I sit with dramatically increased itching and burning. Now in the bath trying to soothe my vagina and distract myself from, at best, a very uncomfortable and at worst, truly painful experience. This sucks. Medicine should not make your symptoms worse! Why hasn’t the manufacturer changed the formula?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Typically, I take the pill, but because of COVID, I could not see the doc right away, so I went to the good ol’ Wally World and bought Monistat once again. This time, I got Monistat 1 Triazole and Monistat 1 Miconazole combo pack. I tried the Triazole first, had no issues, and my symptoms improved greatly the next morning. But my stupid ass figured I’d also try the Miconazole combo pack 2 nights later to make sure the yeast was gone. Well, I made it worse!! At 3:30, I woke up with intense itching, burning, and pain, and after washing and using warm compresses, I was able to fall back to sleep around 4:30 am with a wet towel between my legs, no underwear or PJs made it feel better for some reason. I woke up feeling better but still itchy and irritated worse than before! I’d stick to the pill or try an antifungal that works best with your vag. Mine had no issues with the Triazole. Also, the stores should just sell the pill, it should not be a damn prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you ever want to know how it feels to have an actual fire in your loins, this medicine will give you that experience. I've used this before with no problem, I don't know what happened, but now I'm lying awake in bed with the most intense burning/itching sensation I've ever experienced. This is awful. If you love your vagina and your sanity, do not use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this today for my yeast infection, and first only used the cooling wipes and the itching cream, and it was great. The cream worked wonders, and the cooling wipes were alright. Then I decided, once I got home this afternoon, to insert the ovule. Worst decision I've ever made. Within an hour, I first began to feel extreme itching. Then that turned to burning. The worst pain I have EVER felt. The medicine in the ovule just kept coming out as discharge. I'm still in an insane amount of pain hours after, slightly reduced though. I took a bath and now have ice on my vagina. Definitely never using this product again!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I haven't had a yeast infection in about 10 years, but I had them in the past and always used Vagisil. This time, a friend suggested Monistat. I did not experience immediate pain like the other reviewers, but about an hour or so after I inserted the ovule and put the cream on, it started coming out. Not only was it gushing out, but I was itching and burning like crazy! I washed all of the topical cream off because I thought it had melted and spread everywhere. I was almost in tears several times today because it burns so bad and the itching is unbearable! I was barely itching and had no burning or discharge before taking it. I could smell the yeast and knew from past history what the antibiotics do to me, so I called myself being proactive. DON'T USE."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used Monistat 1 day, and like the previous comments, I experienced the itching, burning, and blistering on day two after usage. Symptoms felt better, but blistering was still there. For the blisters, use pure vitamin E oil. This will help the blisters go away, and your skin will heal a lot faster. Just rub it all over the vagina, it works like a charm!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat has not helped one bit! I swear it made it worse! I am in agony! I left it in! It didn’t leak out because I have a bit of a prolapse after 3 kids. The inflammation, burning, and itching is unbearable! I can’t sleep or think. It’s been 5 days since I inserted it, and I’m in agony. Buy ice packs."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After putting this in, I felt okay for a couple of hours, slight discomfort but nothing too bad. Around 4 hours later, the excruciating burning and itching started, I wanted to call 911. It was so uncomfortable and painful, I followed others' advice and took a Benadryl and some ibuprofen before trying to sleep. I also put a tampon in overnight to absorb this stuff because I needed to get rid of this feeling - and I will say that helped. Woke up today feeling okay - not 100%, but definitely nowhere near as bad as last night. That pain is not worth it - I would go with the 3 or 7 day or suck it up and call your doctor for fluconazole."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst experience ever! My meow was on fire! I inserted the ovule about 30 minutes before I fell asleep around 11:30 pm. I woke up out of my sleep sweating at 4 am! My vagina was inflamed! Itchy, itchy, itchy plus burning! I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but I couldn't. Finally, I applied the cream that came in the pack, which made it worse! (I didn't even think it could get worse!) I rushed to the shower and sat in cold water! Which only helped a little! I was up for about three hours tossing, turning, and burning! Finally, I grabbed a cold freezer pack and put it between my legs! I was so relieved I fell asleep immediately! I’ve used Monistat before, but it was just the cream! One-time cream that worked so nicely! So when I grabbed this one by mistake, I thought it was no big deal! Big mistake!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After taking antibiotics for a UTI, I developed a yeast infection and got my period at the same time. So something needed to be done. For me, there was some light itching and burning about an hour after putting in the ovule. I used just a little bit of the cream externally. Once that burning began to go away, I was feeling relief of my yeast infection symptoms immediately. I wanted to review the drug specifically because all of the bad reviews scared me, but I think that some people have really bad reactions and others who it all goes well for never think to leave a comment. Anyway, I was a lucky one, it worked for me, no problems."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Reading these comments and laughing out loud because of how accurate they are. I literally wanted to cry at first because of how badly it itched and burned. Thought this was going to soothe my mild YI but only made it so much worse. I had to apply ice-cold tissue to my private area. Finally, after 30-45 minutes, the itch subsided but still really burned. Hope this will be worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read a ton of reviews before using Monistat 1. I used it 3 days before and figured, why not? And let me tell you. I put it in around 9:30 and laid in bed, felt perfectly fine. I honestly felt soothed. I went to bed around 10:30, still felt fine. Around 5:30, I woke up with what felt like ants crawling around in me. SO SO SO ITCHY! My poor boyfriend heard me tossing and turning. I couldn’t lay still because of how itchy it was. He got up at 6 to get ready for work, and I was STILL tossing and turning. I fell back asleep around 7 and woke up at 8 to my alarm. I still felt a little itchy but definitely better. It is now 10 am and the itching is back, and I am about to leave for work. Please tell me it gets better, this itching is becoming unbearable!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been having semi-frequent yeast infections over the last half year, and this medication has worked exceptionally well for me. I am terribly confused by the reviews stating that there is something wrong with this medication-I've experienced none of the itchy, burning, painful sensations many say are caused by this medication. I fear that many women have something else wrong with them (a bacterial infection, rather than a fungal infection, perhaps), because this should not be causing massive pain or discomfort if you are using it for the correct reasons, unless you are just really sensitive to it. Monistat always alleviates my yeast infections and gets rid of them within a couple of days, just as advertised. I highly suggest seeing a doctor if you try this and it doesn't provide the desired effect, because it's likely that there is something else happening if this product is not working for you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had an itching irritation, no smell or discharge. I read about possibilities and decided to use this product first. About 5 hours, no more itching, burning, etc. I think the profiled capsule cream burns due to direct contact with already irritated skin and walls. The ovule capsule works great. Use the ovule capsule. And was with Defense soap. No perfumes, etc. I felt so much better hours later!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DON’T DO IT. I had a mild yeast infection, so I bought the one-day Monistat and applied it at night before going to sleep. I inserted the ovule, applied the external cream, went to bed, then about 4 hours later, woke up with INSANE itching and burning. I’ve been up for almost 3 hours now trying to wash it out of me. It’s 6:45 am, and I can’t sleep or lay still! I took a Benadryl to help with the itching and inflammation, but it’s not helping much. I will NEVER take Monistat ever again. Call your doctor for an oral pill, don’t do this to yourself, ladies!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I picked up this product at the drugstore a few days after I realized I had a YI. I read some reviews, and it really started to freak me out. I have had little to no burning or itching. It's been a few hours since I inserted the ovule and have not had the problems some other women have had. I rated it a 9 because it has not been long enough to see if it cures the infection. If in a few days it's cured, then I would recommend using this as it is easy and quick."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m 18, and I just had my first YI. I’ve never had any issues with my vagina before, so when it started itching, I googled the most effective product to use for quick relief. I went to the store and got Monistat 1 with only reading a handful of reviews, most of which were all positive. I read that I could experience burning and more intense itching than I was originally dealing with, but I decided to risk it because of how awful the irritation was. I put the ovule in at night after I showered, then put the itch relief cream on and laid down. I didn’t experience anything negative using this product, and my YI went away within a few days after using it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not going to lie, I have never wanted to take a piece of metal and use it to itch the inside of me so bad. Had a mild yeast infection and didn’t read reviews. The product says to see your doctor if it causes intense burning or itching. Well… intense seems like an understatement. This stuff is worse than the infection itself. Need to figure out how to get it out of me now. Hopefully, it clears the infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again will I buy this. I got the Monistat 1 Day Maximum Strength. I inserted the egg-like pill and put the cream on, and let me tell you, it is burning and itching like crazy. I cannot even go to bed because it hurts so bad, and I did this 2 hours ago. I tried wiping away the cream, but it still feels like it’s burning. This is some sort of torture."
