For Osteoarthritis "I took this drug for 2 years, and it worked like a charm, no pain in my knees. But WARNING... because of taking it, I ended up in the hospital because I vomited for 5 weeks, at least 30 times a day. The doctor in the emergency thought I was dying. The medication had caused an ulcer in my duodenum, this ruptured, and the acid from my ulcer dumped over to my gall bladder and ruptured a main artery. I was rushed to surgery, where no one thought I would make it through, as I was vomiting blood at that point. I made it through, but only because I am very fit. DO NOT take this medication, it almost killed me."

Diclofenac for Muscle Pain "I have Marfan's/EDS/Fibromyalgia mixed connective tissue disorder with intense muscle spasms and pain. Voltaren actually reduces to rid muscle and all other pain in my miserable body. I can't take narcotics as I vomit and they don't work, but oddly, Voltaren does work for me. It also works on those with arthritis (as originally intended), and several people have commented this cream/gel has been the only med, oral or topical, to truly help. I use brand as generics of anything don't work."

For Period Pain "I have very, very bad period pain along with vomiting. I take these tablets, sometimes it works, but most of the time I have to use an injection of diclofenac. I feel very stressed before and during this time. Unbearable pain."

Diclofenac for Pain "Well, I have been on this medication for 7 months now. At first, it worked well for my pain. Your body has to get used to it. This medication works well for my joint pain in my back and knees. It will work for headaches also. But these past 2 months, I've had terrible side effects. I get these stomach pains from hell. I get sick and throw up. The stomach pain is unbearable. Taking the 18 mg 3 times a day, sometimes only able to take 1 a day with food for sure, and the stomach pain will come. It has also caused an upper respiratory infection 2 times now."

Diclofenac for Period Pain "My sister used to work for Novartis, a company that produces Caraflam. I remembered the first few months of my period, I didn't feel pain as I do now. My other sisters always need to take Caraflam. So when I couldn't bear the cramps anymore, I took it, it started working about an hour later, and I didn't feel pain anymore. Even though my sisters are pharmacists, they always told me that the less medicine I take, the better it would be. So I tried not to use it. It was the worst ever, I took one, and it didn't work well when it reached the max of pain. I threw up and took another one. After an hour, it worked. So if you decide to use Caraflam, take it before it's painful."

Diclofenac for Period Pain "I used it, and it worked wonders... after a few hours of pain. My period cramps are so bad. They are horrible, they make me vomit and cry and take breaks from uni, but it’s the worst pain I ever feel. I have tried all the tablets in the world, nothing works, so I take an injection to feel better."

For Muscle Pain "It helps a lot with pain, but it kills me more to take it because of the constant diarrhea it gives you. It is completely terrible. And on top of that, when you vomit, it's even worse. Why would a doctor even prescribe these? I don't know, but I can't get through the whole prescription."

For Pain "It did work when I was in a little less pain with my tooth, but not when I was in full agony! Be warned - I took this on an empty stomach, as I couldn't eat, and I was subsequently vomiting all night!"

Diclofenac for Pain "Voltaren 75 mg for knee inflammation. Stay away! This drug nearly killed me! I am an overall healthy 39-year-old male. Side effects: bloody diarrhea, tarry stool, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, faint, lightheaded, dizzy, racing heart, passed out and fell twice (gastric bleed)! I believe I was on the verge of a heart attack. I cannot believe this drug is still available! No relief whatsoever."
