Diclofenac for Pain "Voltaren 75 mg for knee inflammation. Stay away! This drug nearly killed me! I am an overall healthy 39-year-old male. Side effects: bloody diarrhea, tarry stool, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, faint, lightheaded, dizzy, racing heart, passed out and fell twice (gastric bleed)! I believe I was on the verge of a heart attack. I cannot believe this drug is still available! No relief whatsoever."

Diclofenac for Pain "The side effects are brutal. Stomach aches, nausea, bloody stools, headache, diarrhea, increased blood pressure, just to name a few. This medicine did give me some relief from pain at the cost of the side effects. Be careful with this medicine, I won't take this med anymore."

Diclofenac for Migraine "Present migraine has plagued me for 2 weeks despite my customary meds (-> Treximet, -> Percocet 10mg, -> Imitrex injections, not in same day, of course). I also do Botox migraine every three months. I not only suffer with common symptoms, debilitating headache, nausea, light/sound sensitivities, I also have numbness, unilateral paralysis, and even blindness. I've tried most approved treatments, including 'off-label' medications, with ranging levels of relief. I've yet to find a preventative, aka 'miracle drug', although Botox has effectively reduced the number of my 'headache' days. At any rate, my migraine specialist gave me samples of Cambia at last visit, and today I remembered I had it. It quickly took a level 9 to a level 3."

For Osteoarthritis "Diclofenac really helped with my arthritic hip pain and heel spur pain the first two weeks, but I had to stop taking it because it caused dizziness, nausea, nightmares, insomnia, irritability, headaches, pressure in ears, muscle weakness, fatigue, decreased urine output, worse joint pains when worn off, liver pain."

For Muscle Pain "Badly strained shoulder muscle; no relief after 4 days of ice and Aleve. Forked out the $$ to see my doc, and he prescribed diclofenac sodium TBEC 75 mg. Overnight relief! Second day, feels almost healed! The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because I have to eat a really good size meal to avoid nausea, and of course I need to lose some weight. But otherwise, bless you, Doc!"

For Pain "Using this since last week for (diagnosis not 100% sure) a quite bad case of iliopsoas tendonitis, groin joint pain, bursitis trochanterica? Sitting down for a couple of hours caused major stings in my groin, hip, and the upper joint of the iliopsoas. Symptoms started about 18 months ago when I had been squatting and deadlifting heavy weights for a couple of years. Took little rest because it was my passion. I only stopped when the pain got so intense that it scared me. Been doing therapy at a sports therapist for 5 months, having little effect. Taking 150mg daily diclofenac since last week allowed me to live relatively pain-free for the past 3 days, for the first time in months, amazing! I'm being careful and still doing the therapy, praying to the gods that it will actually heal and I will be able to sit/walk/jump again like a healthy 27 y/o guy. Side effects are nausea and dizziness."

For Pain "I know this review is long... but it's worth it! I have a double wrist strain and was prescribed diclofenac for the pain and swelling for 10 days, 2x per day. The first and second day were a breeze, my wrists felt fine and everything was starting to look up. Day 3, I started getting moderately nauseous in the afternoon, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. Day 5, I woke up, nauseous as ever. I actually think I am going to die between the stomach gurgles and pain. I couldn't even drive 30 minutes to work without stopping to use the restroom. Let me paint this picture for you, it's 10 am... I woke up at 7 am. I have had diarrhea 7 times already and pooped 5 times yesterday. If you're looking to drop a few lbs quickly, skip the laxative and pick up some of this stuff! I'm not even going to finish the bottle because nothing is worth this pooping (literally)."

Diclofenac for Migraine "I don’t know what type of sadist thought that aniseed and menthol were the flavor that people suffering from a migraine want to taste. I had one sip of this and had to run to the toilet to vomit because it was so awful. The only time I was able to stomach it was when I was so stuffed up I had absolutely no taste and had run out of all my other options. It did help bring down the pain of my migraine, but it left me completely feeling out of it and dizzy. I prefer taking Maxalt (which I find just as effective) as I can actually keep it down."

Diclofenac for Period Pain "Cataflam is the best OTC for period pain. I can function properly now. I used to take 2 Panadol tablets, which are pretty useless. I end up feeling nausea and tired. Do take this at the first sign of period pain for best results. It will be too late to take it when the pain starts."

Diclofenac for Pain "I have been dealing with extreme pain in my hip and groin area. I took one pill but never again. I first experienced drowsiness, which isn't anything to worry about until I started to not feel right in my head. It lasted for about 20 minutes. Then, as I was standing in the kitchen making dinner, I developed extreme nausea for about 5 minutes. This led to a rush shooting straight to my head, and on came a dizzy spell that lasted for about 20 seconds. Followed by a partial blackout for a split second, vision came back, and I went to sit down. Moments later, I was perfectly okay. Well, besides feeling freaked out, of course. I would never recommend this medicine to anyone."

Diclofenac for Period Pain "Usually I take 2 tablets of Panadol, and it works in 30 minutes, but this time I tried 2 tablets of Cataflam 50 mg, and it SUCKS!!! It’s been an hour, the pain is incredibly intense, and I have dizziness and nausea because of it. I’m only feeling worse!!"

Diclofenac for Migraine "Have suffered from migraines for the past 10 years. I’m always interested to try new medications. Personally, I found Cambia to be one of the worst. I found little to no relief. The taste is horrid, especially when your taste buds are heightened and extra sensitive. I experienced the worst side effects, which included diarrhea, dizziness, anxiety, and nausea for days."

Diclofenac for Period Pain "My period is awful, like I can't leave bed when I have it: nausea, bent over in pain, the works. The pain is something I can't stand, and so when I was 17, I first tried this. It's saved me a few times. I suffer from other chronic conditions, so I'm constantly in pain, and I need to manage my period pain as best I can, and this works. I take one about every 4-6 hours for the 7 days I have my period."

For Migraine "I originally got this medicine for a different condition, but decided to try it for my migraine when my regular migraine medicine (sumatriptan) did not help at all, and I was desperate for relief. The medicine relieves my migraine pain effectively. It does not take the pain away completely, but I would say it does take 80-90% of the pain away, so very effective indeed, considering that my pains are very bad (usually 8 on the traditional 1-10 pain scale) and no other pain medicines give any relief at all. I asked my doctor to change my existing migraine prescription of sumatriptan to diclofenac instead, and I take 1x50 mg when a migraine strikes. The full effect comes after 1-1½ hours. The medicine is available in different formats - both regular oral pills as well as suppositories in case one tends to be nauseous during the migraines and has difficulty keeping pills inside long enough to allow them to help. I highly recommend this medicine for migraines."

For Period Pain "I've always had a painful period since it started. I've tried many over-the-counter drugs, but some work for a few months and they lose their efficacy. When I started using diclofenac, pain stopped completely through my period. I was able to sleep and work without feeling pain, making my menstrual days painless. However, blood flow is less (I'm a heavy bleeder) and looks darker, which is worrying. I think there's a scientific explanation for this and really need an answer to that. Finally, there are months when I'll throw up continuously after taking this painkiller."
