"It is an amazing drug for depression, but after four or five years, it will damage the brain, and the addict will never be able to stop, so don't try amphetamine unless you are ready for the worst. I have been addicted to amphetamine for 25 years. I am using 20 tablets a day. I feel deaf, but breathing, life has no taste. It gives an emotional, romantic mood until you leave reality."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My son is 7 and has been on Dyanavel XR for less than a month. He was switched because of the shortage of Quillivant XR. While my son was taking the Quillivant, he was doing great in school. I was not getting any calls from the school or anything. Overall he was doing great. In this last month of taking the Dyanavel, my son has been suspended from his after-school program, and just today he was suspended from school. He totally flipped out on the teacher, the principal, and the police at the school. I will be switching medicine."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I've recently been prescribed this product because of the shortage in Adderall in the States. This happened some years back when Shire had an explosion in a manufacturing facility in N.C. (fun fact). Unless you are prescribed Dexedrine, almost all the licit amphetamine is manufactured by Shire, who in turn sells it to companies that sell it under their generic labels. Those who swear one generic works better for them than another are probably right, but it has more to do with the fillers and binders in the tablet than the medication. Also, the DEA sets manufacturing quotas each year for schedule II drugs. So there are reasons it is in short supply this year, even though it's denied by the FDA. I can't tell a significant difference between Adzenys and Adderall, but like some commercials used to say, 'results may vary.' I found your comment about using Adderall as a vasopressor interesting. Way back in the day, Methedrine was used in ICU settings to help pull patients out of respiratory depression."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I actually quite like Evekeo, it makes me feel like a normal person with normal motivation levels, lol. I will say around other people I can get agitated easily, but that's kind of about it. Obviously, I feel like my energy levels are lower on this drug, but it's really just because my brain isn't moving at 100 miles an hour, and I actually like how that feels. I've tried Vyvanse, Adderall, and Focalin, to name a few, but I really do like Evekeo so far. I like that it's short-acting, but if you are looking for something that has a longer duration time, then maybe this isn't for you. Another side effect of Evekeo is that sometimes, towards the beginning of taking it, I would have insomnia spells, but I experienced this side effect with every other ADHD drug I took, so I just dealt with it. After a couple of weeks, though, it went away. I also only take Evekeo as needed, which could mean taking it for a week straight every day or just once a week, and it doesn't mess with my system, which is a plus."

For ADHD "This has been an awful experience! I take Adderall normally. The doctor forgot to add something to my script and got this. I didn't think it would be different. It for sure is. Headaches, stomach aches, and I have no attention span for a week now. I just messaged my doctor after talking to the pharmacist. I guess this is often a complaint. I feel really bad for people whose insurance won't cover the real stuff. Should be illegal to give this to people just because they can't afford better insurance."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I switched from immediate-release generic Adderall to Dyanavel XR tablets, hoping I could finally find an effective long-acting ADHD med. Maybe I am just too used to the IR, but Dyanavel XR, at the highest dose of 20 mg, felt like a sugar pill to me. I was much more distracted and really struggled to complete my regular, everyday paperwork for my job. By 2-3 p.m., I was seriously fighting getting on the floor of my office and taking a nap!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "I was 28 when diagnosed with ADHD, and I was started on 20 mg Adderall 2x daily. It worked okay, but it was lacking. I then, at my next follow-up, was prescribed 30 mg XR Adderall. She told me if I started to crash, take one of my 20 mg IR. The 30 mg XR once a day, and it worked way better! Well, due to a neck injury that happened when I was 19, and 3 levels of artificial discs. She told me that my prescription 'credit score' was on the high side. Of course, I was open to try the Adzenys. Okay, the pharmacy was 45 minutes away, and of course, they only had the exact amount I needed. So, I start this new medication in hopes of becoming refocused, less irritated. You know, all the things that come about when you’re unmedicated. I’ve been on this medication for at least a week. However, I don’t take it on the weekend. Since Monday, I’ve noticed I don’t feel as if it works during the day, but I have experienced the worst insomnia."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My son is 11, and we have tried multiple medications since he first started school. I was doing my best to avoid a stimulant medication, but after years of him dealing with nausea from his non-stimulant, we decided to try something new. From day one, we were able to see a difference. He was more focused and had little trouble staying on task. No nausea at all! He also takes a mood stabilizer to counteract the side effects of mood swings he's suffered with stimulants before. Because of our schedule, he takes it around 5 a.m. every day, but it seems to wear off by noon. He's still moody, but I have trouble making out if his moods are from the meds, puberty, the fact that his dad just left for a year deployment, or a mix of it all. We have noticed he had an issue with a dry and sore throat. He has no issues until after he takes it in the morning. Overall, it's better than the non-stimulant meds, but I'm still pretty uncomfortable that he's taking an amphetamine medication."

For ADHD "My 5-year-old just started this medication, and no change in her became evident as it's supposed to after about 30 minutes. It actually made her Tourette's worse and made her itch and irritable. Hope you have better luck!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "Have been on Adderall for years, and so a while back I had a drug test, which is fine. I'm on Suboxone, so I drug test monthly anyway. Three months ago, my psych doctor said I tested positive for cocaine, which was never anything I did. I also offered to sign a release so she could get my records from my Suboxone doctor so she would know. Never, ever in 10 to 13 years have I tested dirty for cocaine, so why would I now? She said she wasn't interested. My blood pressure has dropped dangerously low, and the Adderall raises it, so I need back on it. What should I do?"

Amphetamine for ADHD "My daughter hates the flavor! I can't get her to keep it down for more than a couple seconds before it's coming out of her mouth. I'd rather fight her in getting to swallow a pill than clean up the medicine from the floor. Will be trying something else."

Amphetamine for ADHD "CAUTION!!! THIS DRUG IS DANGEROUS!!! The cons outweigh the pros. I took this drug to treat my ADHD. It did make me focus more, and that's the only positive thing I could say. Other than the physical side effects like gum bleeding, hair falling out, cold sweats, and insomnia. The emotional side effects included loss of personality, made me feel more psychotic. STAY AWAY FROM ADZENYS."
