For ADHD "This has been a great medicine for my son. He has tried six different meds but never stayed with them because either they didn’t last all day, stopped eating, had trouble sleeping, experienced mood swings, crashed hard when the meds wore off, were ineffective, or turned him into a zombie. He is five but almost six years old, and he is taking 3.5 mL at around 7 AM daily. It wears off around 6:30 PM, and there is no hard come down. Before this med, we had to give my son melatonin every night for him to be able to fall asleep before midnight. We don't have to anymore. This is also the only med where he has an appetite. I was having to force-feed him his meals because he would never want to eat on other meds. Now he is eating great and healthy. It’s also so great to see my son’s personality and humor shine on this medicine because it works well enough to slow his brain down from the 100 mph it usually goes, so he can focus on saying proper sentences and conveying his thoughts, but without turning him into a zombie."

For ADHD "Recently, I switched from taking Adderall to Vyvanse and then to Adzenys. I have been taking short-acting Adderall tablets on and off for the past twenty years, twice a day. I tried Vyvanse hoping that it would last longer during the day, up to twelve hours. Unfortunately, I experienced terrible side effects, such as mood swings, insomnia, and zero focus. I tried doses ranging from 40-70mg and spent six months on it, only to switch to Adzenys. I started taking Adzenys last month, and it is more like Adderall. It provides a mellow focus and does not cause additional anxiety. However, it only lasts for about six to eight hours, and my doctor is hesitant to prescribe it twice a day. We are increasing the dose this month, and I hope it is more effective. The packaging is inconvenient, but the medication works, and the carry case is nice and fits in my locked bag for safety. The easy-to-take tabs are definitely a hazard around children because they look like candy or something. However, if you are responsible for your medications and keep them locked up for safety, it should not be a problem. The pharmacy takes a long time to restock it as well."

For ADHD "15.0, then increased to 17.5 (I believe that’s the correct dosage, I know it’s 15 to 17)... Anyway, didn’t know I was so ADHD until I went off of it. ROCKY to transition onto the med—extremely emotional, but my God, I had an issue filling the script one day. I didn’t realize how inefficient I was before. I kept losing everything, it was so bad. Changed my life. After adjusting, I have had no problems."

For ADHD "My son is 11, and we have tried multiple medications since he first started school. I was doing my best to avoid a stimulant medication, but after years of him dealing with nausea from his non-stimulant, we decided to try something new. From day one, we were able to see a difference. He was more focused and had little trouble staying on task. No nausea at all! He also takes a mood stabilizer to counteract the side effects of mood swings he's suffered with stimulants before. Because of our schedule, he takes it around 5 a.m. every day, but it seems to wear off by noon. He's still moody, but I have trouble making out if his moods are from the meds, puberty, the fact that his dad just left for a year deployment, or a mix of it all. We have noticed he had an issue with a dry and sore throat. He has no issues until after he takes it in the morning. Overall, it's better than the non-stimulant meds, but I'm still pretty uncomfortable that he's taking an amphetamine medication."

For ADHD "This medicine was horrible for me. I started off at a low dose. It gave me horrible anxiety, mood swings, and horrifying negative thoughts. I would never take this medicine again."

For ADHD "It works great for the first 3-4 hours, then I started getting extreme mood changes and anxiety and panic attacks when it wears off. Switching meds ASAP."

For ADHD "It works but why is my daughter so cranky and whiny after it is wearing off. It only happens with this certain medicine."

For ADHD "Because of the Adderall shortage, I was recently switched to Adzenys, and I’m not a huge fan of it. I guess it somewhat works, but for the most part, it just makes my stomach hurt and makes me feel insane. My mood swings on this medication are horrible. I’ve never had mood swings before (unless I’m on my lady days), and it’s terrible. I never had a problem with going to sleep on Adderall, but this medication keeps me up at night. I have pretty bad anxiety, and this medication makes it a million times worse. Other than the side effects, the drug works fine, but it’s hard to focus with all of the side effects."
