Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my ninth dose, and I’m down thirty pounds. It curbs your appetite but also makes you nauseous. I’ve had constipation too. Stool softeners help. It works well and helps you lose weight."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So I am 5'4" and I found myself at the weight I was when I delivered my children, 145 pounds. For three years plus, I desperately tried to approach my goal weight of 125 pounds, dieting and feeling miserable for 3 years. I told my doctor I was dieting and exercising and could not budge the scale. At 60 years of age, the weight just doesn’t come off like when you are young. I’ve been on Wegovy for 6 weeks and have lost 12 pounds-a miracle! Now at 133 pounds, I’m staying the course to my goal. I will say the nausea is the worst side effect and comes in intermittent waves. I have Zofran (ondansetron) for when I can’t take the nausea. One of the best side effects for me has been totally eradicating my diarrhea. I have irritable bowel on the diarrhea spectrum, and luckily I did not get the diarrhea side effect but more the constipation, which has totally normalized my GI tract! I am so happy about this and assume this is due to slowing gastrointestinal motility."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy since October 2021. I'm currently on 2.4. I have lost a total of 35 pounds. I have a lot of constipation, I have to take something for the constipation. I do have some vomiting when I eat hot, spicy, or greasy food. I'm very pleased with Wegovy."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my first week of the 2.4 dose (so I am just starting month 5). My weight loss seems a bit slower than others (story of my life), BUT I am still losing! I’ve lost 26 pounds in 5 months with making few modifications to my diet. I eat similarly to how I did before, but my portions are much smaller. I have experienced some side effects, but everyone’s experience is different. I can usually combat the upset stomach and gas with Gas-X and Pepto. I have experienced constipation, but that’s honestly something I’ve battled all of my adult life. Miralax in my morning tea or coffee certainly helps with that. Bottom line for me is this… the occasional side effects are 100% worth the results I’m seeing!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic at 0.25 mg weekly 6 months ago and have gradually increased to 1.0 mg weekly. I did experience very mild nausea at first, but I paid attention to my body and just ate less. I have experienced some constipation and have taken over-the-counter medication for that. I have lost just under 4 pounds a month for the last 5 months. I need about 30 percent less insulin. My appetite has decreased. I eat less at meals and rarely snack. My A1c is under 7. For me, Ozempic has caused a significant improvement in my life."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been on Ozempic for four weeks now and am down 5 lbs. I have had nausea and constipation, but it's subsiding now. I have noticed the curb of appetite is huge. I have to make myself eat during the day. I am hoping this helps me get down to a healthier weight so I will feel better mentally and physically."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfur burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness, only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to a 1 mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However, it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked in 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me, and I needed this medication. I started at 221 lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity, and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

Semaglutide "I've been on Rybelsus for about 6 weeks now and am up to the 7 mg dose. I was placed on it to help lose PCOS-induced weight gain. It took about a month to get used to (minor vomiting, nausea, constipation, and diarrhea during the adjustment). I've lost almost 15 lbs, my anxiety levels have plummeted, and my skin is the clearest it's been in ages. I no longer have sugar or processed carb cravings, which I think is helping all of this. I'm lucky that my insurance is fully covering the medication since it is pricey."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Rybelsus for a little over a month for PCOS and have had an overall positive experience - just started the 7 mg dose. My doctor recommended it since I am at risk for type 2 diabetes (>30 BMI, borderline high fasting glucose with a normal A1C, and signs of insulin resistance from PCOS). I get some pretty extreme nausea whenever I eat junk food (fatty and/or sugary), but otherwise feel good. I'm hoping that the nausea I do get helps instill better long-term eating habits. I've also experienced appetite suppression, which has helped me prioritize proteins and vegetables. I did get alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhea when starting this medicine and am expecting that I'll experience the same with the dose increase. I have felt far more energy, and my cravings for junk food have drastically reduced. So far, I've lost slightly more than 10 lbs and am shooting for another 50 to help get my PCOS under control."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was obese prior to COVID lockdowns and gained 35 pounds over the first year and a half of the pandemic. My blood sugars were increasing, and my feet were so swollen that I couldn't wear most of my shoes. My doctor started me on Ozempic, and after one week on the .25 mg dose, my shoes fit again. I took .25 for four weeks, then .5 for four weeks, and I have been on 1 mg for two months. I have lost about 30 pounds, and my pre-COVID pants all fit again. My energy levels have increased dramatically. I am in my mid-60s, and for the first time in my life, I am able to stick to a diet without feeling like I am starving. I keep the level of carbs I eat at or below about 50 a day (primarily vegetables, berries, and whole grains), eat when I am hungry, and stop eating when I am full. I had some diarrhea at first, but I started injecting in my thigh instead of my abdomen, and that cured the diarrhea. The only side effect I have now is a little constipation."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Diagnosed as insulin resistant in early 20s. Also high cholesterol. Both hereditary. Managed it by a very low carb diet, 30g max per meal, for 20 years. BMI on the normal border. Then I hit 45 and early menopause. Sugar levels rose. Gained 25 lbs. They put me on Metformin. Big mistake, it ruined my stomach. Can't process lactose or fructose after that fiasco, and I developed IBS! Be careful of Metformin! Finally put on Ozempic. On it since Feb 2021. The first three months were rough. Major nausea, especially after a dosage adjustment. I lived on ginger pills. Constipation, but I had IBS, so that was not unusual by then. I went up to 1ml, and two weeks later it paid off. Symptoms went away, I lost 28 lbs, and both sugar and cholesterol are normal. Now I can actually eat, for the first time since early 20s, a full measured cup of pasta and not get ill. Doc wants to wean me off... I want to stay on this drug and feel normal for a few years at least. It's been a godsend for me."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far so good. I'm only on week 2, but am down 10 pounds with a combination of exercise and a 1200 cal/day diet. The symptoms I've had so far are tiredness, constipation, and some hair falling out (Dr. will be checking my vitamin levels to make sure I don't need supplements with the new diet). It definitely curbs my appetite, which is huge with my diet essentially cut in half. I am looking forward to seeing sustained results."

Semaglutide "I have been on Ozempic 0.5 dose for about 3 months now. I started slow and steady with 0.25 for a month and then moved up to 0.5. I was pre-diabetic and had higher blood pressure and was considered obese because of my height, 5'4, 180 lbs. I had tried everything to lose weight: diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and absolutely nothing worked because I was what my doctor called 'insulin resistant.' I was actually gaining weight while working incredibly hard to lose it. Now I am down to 165 lbs, and I feel better than I have in years. I had experienced slight side effects for about a month: cramping, constipation, nausea, but all of those have subsided. I basically cannot eat the same amount I used to, and I definitely have majorly cut back on the sweets. I have refocused on my health and healthier eating habits, and this was a step in the right direction for me. I am grateful for it!"

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been on Ozempic for 3 months now, the first day I vomited but haven’t since, nausea for the first month or so, and I got very constipated, but now all is good and I suffer no side effects anymore. So far, I have lost 22 kg, I have no sugar cravings, and my appetite is right down, making sure I eat healthy meals is the only challenge as I do not feel like eating. But I could not recommend this enough to anyone who really struggles with food and weight loss."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Ozempic .25 mg 6 weeks ago, and I moved up to .5 mg two weeks ago. I had constipation at first, but it stopped two weeks ago, and now I don't have any side effects other than feeling bloated if I eat too much. But, let's face it, if you have type 2 diabetes, then that is a good thing. I have lost some weight. I was on 1000 mg metformin ER for 12 years, and I started aspirating almost every time I ate, so I switched to Ozempic, and it has only happened twice since the switch. I love just taking one injection a week, you do not feel the needle at all, just a slight burn when the medicine goes in. If you are thinking about trying it, I'd say go for it, not everyone has a bad experience with it, mine has been great."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I'm in week 6, and I have lost 15 pounds!!!!! Total miracle. I started out at the .25 dose for a month and last week began .5. I have absolutely no appetite. Very easy to stick to a healthy diet. Predominantly low carb but do allow some complex carbs here and there. I eat very small meals--I am full very quickly. I am a little nauseous in the morning, slight constipation, which easily was alleviated with taking daily probiotics, and after going out to dinner the other night and eating what I thought was a small meal, had really bad acid reflux. The food was spicy, and although I didn't eat a lot of it, I ate later than usual. I will never do that again. I fortunately have not had any of the other side effects others mention. I want to lose another 70 pounds, so I am hoping that at the 1 mg dose I can accomplish this. I would think the weight loss will slow at some point. I remain a little nervous about increasing the dose, although I had no ill side effects when last increased."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic for 10 weeks for both weight loss, which I have struggled with for years, and diabetes. I experienced nausea, constipation, slight dizziness, and headaches, but nothing that I couldn't manage, and only for 1 or 2 weeks of each increased dose. Went from 0.25 to 0.5, and now I'm on week 2 of the highest dose, 1.0, and currently have no side effects. I have also lost 19 lb so far, the doctor advised a 1200-calorie diet, and I couldn't be happier. My blood levels have come down from high 7's to 6.4, and the doctor is considering taking me off my usual diabetic medication, Empagliflozin. Some folks are saying, 'don't take it,' but just because their body didn't take to it doesn't mean you won't! And you could be missing out on what I would say is a game-changing medicine. I would say give it a go. And I wouldn't give up now for anything. My health has significantly improved. (Free to diabetics in the UK)."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss because of being insulin resistant and not being able to lose weight (I'm 50 lbs overweight for my height) after a hysterectomy despite working out 5 days a week and eating healthier. I'm on week 3 of a 0.25 dosage, and I'm finally losing weight, 5 pounds so far! No side effects except that I did have some constipation for about a week, but now I'm back to being regular with more water consumption. It did significantly cut back my craving for sweets, however, it didn't completely get rid of it. I noticed my hunger isn't as intense as it used to be. This medication was a last resort for me because I was having no success losing any weight regardless of my consistent efforts with traditional methods for weight loss, which was pretty upsetting. I continue to diet and exercise with this medication, and it has been a great addition to a healthier lifestyle for me!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I'm a 54-year-old female whose A1C was 8.3 at the end of March. So, after 4 months on Ozempic, my A1C is now 6.3, and I've lost 34 lbs. Definitely curbs my appetite, and I have been logging my food. My side effects have been minimal - a little nausea in the beginning and constipation. This med has been a game-changer for me. My hope is that many others will have the same results I have."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Started on .25 and now onto .5 for the next 4 weeks. My side effects have been mild nausea, a lot of constipation, slight anxiety, mild diarrhea, mild tummy ache, intermittent tiredness, and feeling somewhat under the weather. There is no pattern, it’s random. I do think it’s the medication, as prior to this, I had none of these symptoms. It is not great, but tolerable. I think the meds are really kicking in now. If I have a small snack, the nausea subsides. I have little to no appetite, probably consume 1000 calories a day. And my mind is not consumed with food, and before I had an obsession with food. For me, it’s been life-changing. I put on 15 kg during Covid lockdown. Was 85 kg, now 81 kg."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I was prescribed Ozempic to help with weight loss. I am prediabetic and failed gastric sleeve surgery. Started at 240 pounds and after the 3rd injection of 1 mg, am now 228 lbs. I was concerned that I was started right off the bat with 1 mg. My only side effect is constipation. I took the advice of the people on this blog and injected it in my thigh. I heard it minimizes the side effects. I have lost more weight with this medication than I lost with my gastric sleeve. I lost nothing with the sleeve and I still felt hungry. With Ozempic, there is full control of my appetite and lost all taste for sugar."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking 3 mg Rybelsus since June 4th. I am not experiencing nausea nor diarrhea, however, I am experiencing constipation and loss of appetite. Since I have been taking this medication, I notice I get tired very quickly. Overall, I notice that it has helped my diabetes tremendously, and I have lost 8 lbs with very little exercise. I also take metformin 750 ER. Before starting Rybelsus, my A1C was 8.1, I do expect it to be much lower on my next visit in September."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic in July 2020. The first few weeks, I had slight nausea. Now, 10 months in, I’ve lost 50 lbs - from 210 lbs to 158 lbs, and my sugar levels, if anything, are on the low side. I’ve just stopped taking my Metformin as they were dropping too much. I didn’t even make it to the 1 mg, stopping at the 0.5 mg. If you can last the first 4 weeks, it’s amazing. The only side effect I have is a little constipation, which I control with PEG when needed. It has changed my life! I feel like a brand new woman!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Ozempic for 6 weeks, four doses of 0.25 ml and two doses of 0.5 ml cost $5.90 per month. I'm also taking Jardiance and 2000 mg of Metformin. I've lost 7 kg (15.4 lbs) in 4 weeks. I was concerned about constipation as I've had major problems when I was younger, increasing my daily water intake fixed that. My doctor always said the body will not function properly without lots of water. Fiber is also very important. First 4 weeks of Ozempic I lost 7 kg (15.4 lbs), 10 days later, total loss of 8.1 kg (17.87 lbs). I have injected in my thighs from day one, and I've had no side effects at all."
