Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy since February. I started on 0.25 mg and am now on 1.7 mg. Each month I have gone up a dose and injected it in my thighs. I was at 207 lbs and now I am at 190 lbs. But every time I inject myself, the next morning I vomit the little I ate the night before. I am always feeling nauseous after I eat and I know my limits now, but I always have that feeling that I will vomit. I always get heartburn and I’m always burping."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just completing week one at the low dose. I did the research after being given the prescription and expected there would be side effects, so planned for it. I bought antacids and Gravol and waited. The injection site is the thigh, and I got a small bruise. I did not feel the injection at all. I had minor side effects on day one, of a headache and feeling queasy. Since then, only some belching if I overeat. It is like my brain suddenly recognizes I have eaten."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just took my last injection of month 5, 1.7. I have lost about 25-30 lbs along with 3-5 days a week at the gym. Definitely curbs your appetite. The nausea is very real! Each month I thought it would get easier. It never does. A couple times I puked for hours. Lots of belching. In the beginning, a little constipation. The first day or 2 after the injection, you can feel fatigue. It works for weight loss if you can tolerate the nausea. This will be my last month. I have a 6-month prescription but I can’t deal with the nausea anymore."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 6 months now. My weight has dropped from 134 kg to 102 kg, a loss of 32 kilograms. I was unwell for the first 2 months, but things settled after that. However, during the past month, I have started getting really bad nausea with some vomiting, diarrhea, and burping (sulfur taste). The doctor has dropped me back down to 0.5 mg dose to see if it improves. I do not take any other medication. HbA1 has gone from 7.1 down to 5.7. Blood glucose is in the 4.9 to 5.8 range. I must stress that for this to work, you have to watch what you are eating and do regular exercise."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been using Ozempic for 12 weeks. Initial physical reactions were terrible, with diarrhea, burping, extreme bloating feeling, loss of appetite. It was terrible, as described by other reviewers. I ran to the washroom 20 times per day in the first 2 weeks at .25. It drained so much of my energy and day-to-day momentum. In two weeks, I lost 10 lbs due to loss of appetite and the diarrhea. At the same time, in 4 weeks, my blood sugar dropped from an average of 8.5 to only 6.2. In week 15 to date, I guess my body has adapted to Ozempic. In week 16, my dose was increased to 0.50. I also dropped one of my diabetes oral drugs. My bowel movements normalized to only 3 times a day. I still have a lack of appetite that I thought would be beneficial for me. For only once a week injection, I will continue having Ozempic."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started a little over 2 months ago. I was excited when the doctor told me that this would help me lose weight. I was 235 at the time, and PCOS makes it hard to lose. Was warned of nausea but figured I'd be okay. Wasn't warned about sour stomach and sulfur belches. I started with the .25 mg dose. I learned what I could eat to steer clear of the sulfur burps. After 4 weeks, I moved to .5 mg and again had the sulfur burps. Had to re-learn eating limits. Last week, I moved up to 1.0 mg and didn't really have any issues until the day I was supposed to take the next dose. The discomfort was bearable. I took my injection and for the last 2 days have been nauseous. Went to bed this evening and am having trouble staying asleep. Anytime I move, the contents of my stomach shift and I feel like I'm going to be sick. 2 days prior to the last dose, I was told that my sugar has gone from the 350s to 88-120, but my weight loss is nowhere near what it should be. I hope it gets better soon."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic to hopefully lower my always high blood sugar. Even on high doses of insulin, my blood sugar stayed around 200. Ozempic not only lowered my blood sugar, I also lost about 15 pounds. Unfortunately, there was a shortage, and I was off of it, and then the dose was lowered. I gained the weight back, and my blood sugar went up. I am now on it regularly, and it keeps my sugars fairly normal. Occasionally, I do get annoying sulfur burps, and I do have bloating and constipation. My eyes and kidneys are okay."

Semaglutide "At first, all went well. I started at .25, then to .50, but when I went to 1, I started having issues: stomach pain, burping a lot, and strong runny diarrhea lasting for hours. Even after taking Gas-X and Imodium, it did not help. Stopping for now and will restart again in a few weeks at the lower dose. It did help me lose weight, I lost over 30 lbs in 5 months."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy was prescribed for weight loss, with a secondary potential benefit being a reduction in glucose levels and A1C. Began at minimal dose of 0.25 mg/0.5 ml. Had virtually no side effects. Also lost exactly 0 lbs. However, this first month included Thanksgiving, so a bonus that no weight was gained. Second month dose increased to 0.5 mg/0.5 ml. Side effects were primarily indigestion, some headaches, and very occasionally low blood pressure, but it included Christmas, so a positive was no gain. Month 3 increased dose to 1.0 mg/0.5 ml. In the first week at this dosage, can finally feel the appetite suppression. Side effects have included indigestion, burping, headache, and a bit of feeling sluggish. It has been very easy to administer the injections. I have been using the lower part of my stomach as the injection site, alternating from left to right side each week. So far, each injection has succeeded."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "This is week 1, and I’m already feeling the side effects: headaches, diarrhea, stomach ache, burping frequently that smells like rotten eggs. I get nauseous and gassy. I don’t have an appetite for food. I just started this medication, but I like its cleaning out my digestive system. I am reaching out to my healthcare provider to see what I can take to help eliminate the burping."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "No side effects other than loss of appetite and feeling full faster and eating less on lower doses. Good BGL around 100. Once I started 1 mg, I got indigestion, nausea, gas, burping, loose stools, and watery stools. Blamed it on PPI meds for GERD symptoms but continues after I stopped PPI meds. I'm guessing the loose watery stools is the Ozempic at this point. I'm supposed to go to 2 mg weekly but I may not be able to handle it at that dose."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on 0.25 and did not experience any side effects. However, my blood sugar rose from low 100s to 200-300. My dosage was increased to 0.5. I had gas - burping that was very bad smelling and tasting. I had mild heartburn and a decrease in appetite. My blood sugar dropped to the 200 range. My doctor increased my dosage to 1. I had days of debilitating side effects. The side effects gradually decreased. I am still having some side effects, but my blood sugar is now consistently in the mid to low 100s. I am hoping that as I continue the drug, I will have fewer problems and more success."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve experienced a lot of nausea. No GI pain, no diarrhea. Lots of belching. I have lost 3 lbs the first week, although I’m only 8 lbs over my ideal body weight. My appetite is small, so I try to eat healthy foods. My average glucose (Dexcom 7) has gone from 174 to 157 in just one week."

Semaglutide "I am 51 years old. I have been taking Ozempic to reduce appetite and lose weight for two years. Doses 0.5 mg once weekly subcutaneously. Taking Ozempic is accompanied by nausea and sour belching. There was pain in the right side. I was examined and there is inflammation of the duodenum and a stone in the gall bladder. I like that Ozempic helps fight excess weight, but now I have very strong discomfort."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "User, I followed the prescribed regimen of 3mg daily for two months, taking the pill with minimal water between 5 and 8 AM. However, I experienced persistent nausea, burping with a peculiar taste, and a sharp decline in appetite, particularly for sweets. I lost around 10-12 lbs and struggled to drink water, feeling as if my throat was constricted at times. This led to dehydration and widespread body cramps. Trying Gatorade alleviated the issue temporarily, but the discomfort persisted. Upgrading to 7mg exacerbated the symptoms, causing extreme fatigue, body aches, and lightheadedness. I stopped three pills short of completing the 30-day dose to restore my well-being. In total, I've shed 19 lbs."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this one week ago and just took the second dose of 0.25 mg. I have lost 2 kilos. I have had no interest in food like I previously had. I am experiencing some burping, feeling a little hypo, and had some reflux in the first week. My doctor told me if 0.25 mg works, they won’t increase the dosage."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking it for over a month. No side effects for the first 2 weeks on the lower dose. Since I am using the higher dose now - I have had some very bad nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Also, lots of burping, and it smells terrible. When I have vomited - it is so much volume. More than any time in my life. It has reduced my appetite, but if I drink alcohol, it usually makes me physically sick."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Month 1, I was started on Ozempic at 0.25 mg and had very mild symptoms of bloating and reduced appetite. Month 2 & 3, uncomfortable. Stomach cramps, gas, and diarrhea probably for 4 days after injection. This can be really embarrassing in a small office. By the end of Month 3, I was feeling quite a bit better. At this point, my HbA1c was down to 5.2 from 9.4, I had virtually no diabetic symptoms. No blurred vision, no numbness in fingers and toes, and I was sleeping through the night without visits to the bathroom. And I lost 16 kilo in weight. Month 4 to 7. OMG. Increasing to 1 mg, the side effects are horrendous. Weight loss has stalled, though this is probably due to lockdown. The sickness and eggy burps are constant, and now my doctor says it will be at least 6 months before the side effects could be gone. But I have no diabetic symptoms, my HbA1c is pretty much normal, and I think the effort has been worth it. Not an easy journey, but worthwhile."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was on Ozempic (0.5) for 11 months. I had all of the worst gastric symptoms the entire time. Constant diarrhea, constipation, sulfur burps, constant rumbling stomach, VERY loud and odoriferous flatulence, and no real control over bowel movements. I was wearing diapers so I could sleep because I was afraid I would not have time to get to the bathroom. My A1c went from 16+ to 6.6 in 3 months, so I stuck with it. However, I had lost 70 lb. before I started it - and gained back 40! I eat right and did exercise (until the gastric situation was too bad). It has taken 6 weeks, and I finally feel normal, but my A1c has shot up to 13 in that time (which means it's probably higher than that). I don't have any other chronic illness besides diabetes - no gastric issues before that."
