Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’m writing this on night two of the treatment. This is my first ever yeast infection so I didn’t know what to expect. This yeast infection is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I thought my vagina was just going to fall off and run away to a dumpster. I feel so disgusting. BUT! On night one I wasn’t in tears thinking this can’t be just a yeast infection, that I must have something horribly worse (I don’t), but I was so scared. I went to the store at midnight to go get this medicine. I took it immediately when I got home, falling asleep was difficult. It burned, it itched, it swelled. But I finally fell asleep, and when I woke up in the morning, it felt 10 times better than the night before. So, if you can get past the burning and itching after applying the medication, it will get better. It’s a process!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yes, It may burn! This is only for the first application as it is doing its job and killing the yeast. Your vaginal walls are raw from the infection, so it will be an irritant, but it truly does work. I just finished my full treatment yesterday, and even though the first day was painful with a swollen labia (I took it during the day so all of the medicine basically oozed out and collected in my panties), I continued on, and my symptoms were mostly gone by the third day. Be sure to keep the box beside your bed and do it after your nighttime routine. This way you can stay in a position where the cream won't fall out. Good luck and keep at it!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I regularly have yeast infections before my period. My period had just ended, and I got a really bad yeast infection, so I ran to Walmart at like 10:30 pm and picked up the 3-day pack. It just had a tube that you inserted for three days, it didn’t come with any cream to help or anything, it just had the tube. The first night, I had to drug myself with pain medication because the pain was SO INTENSE. The second day wasn’t so bad, I took medication before I used the stuff. The third day. The literal third day. I swear my hooha entered the goblet of damn fire. I was on the phone with my husband, and I was CRYING IN PAIN. I ran to the shower to try and clean myself and get everything out. It was so red and swollen, it's insane. It’s the next morning, and I am STILL IN PAIN. Please don’t buy this, it’s not Dobby approved."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have read through many comments. I have been using Monistat products for years. It takes three days. No matter which product you are using, for a yeast infection to start clearing up and 7 days for completion. So whether you are using a pill, egg, cream, garlic, oil, or oregano... three days. Upon insertion on the first day, you will get backlash fire pits of hell feeling. This is the medication attacking the yeast infection. It will burn, sting, throb, swell your lips, and itch 10 times more. Do your treatments at night. Wear a thin panty liner. Use the lotion 3 times a day. Be brave... lol come on, ladies."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is insane! The excruciating burning and swelling I am going through is 10 times worse than the itching and burning from the infection. There is no way in high heaven that a female doctor had anything to do with this menace to vaginas everywhere. I am lying in bed after trying to wash off as much of this as I could, and now with an ice pack directly in between my legs! This should not even be on the market anymore because I've been reading these awful reviews from last year. What the heck? Monistat, take us seriously! Do not use this product if you value your sanity and are not into self-torture."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections frequently, and I have always just used generic brands. I never had a bad experience. Yesterday, I bought Monistat for the first time ever, and I will never use it again because it put me in so much pain. Usually, I just insert the generic brand and go right to sleep, but not even a minute after I started feeling a burning/scratching sensation, and it kept getting worse. I wasn’t even scratching myself, and my lady bits started to swell. I tried to get as much as I could out of me, and then the only reason I was able to fall asleep was that I laid a cold compress on myself. I even woke up this morning, and right away, I felt fine until I went to the bathroom, and the burning sensation started again, and I began to swell. I will never use this product again, and I don’t think any women should. Any girl reading this, you need to just get a generic brand because you will get rid of your yeast infection pain-free."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First and second nights with Monistat 3 were pure torture. Intense burning. I literally couldn't sleep, that's how bad it was. I used the external cream and thought that was making things worse, my poor vag was hanging and swollen. I could barely walk. I decided to just stick with it. Sitting in a tub of hot water helped, which is weird relief to a burning vag. I only noticed relief when I washed up for bed. I guess the burn means it's working. After the second night, my swelling went down. I could walk without looking like a cowboy. The third night of treatment was the best night in comparison. There was mild burning, but I could get some sleep. I've completed the 3-day treatment. I still have a little itchiness and soreness. I will continue to use the cream on the outside 2 times a day until my itchiness goes away. Despite the lava journey, it seemed to work. They lose major stars for the pain. They need to get back in the lab and develop a gentler approach or at least provide numbing cream. Sheesh!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I bought Monistat 1 and read the reviews. I was so nervous to try this, but I really didn't want to go to the hospital, so I tried it anyway. The first hour was okay, but after that, oh man, it was pretty intense. Lots of itching and burning, and I just sat really still, and then when that was too much, I laid down very still... it lasted for a couple of hours, but to be honest, it was bearable. I mean, it did burn, but the infection kind of requires that, I think, lol!!! This morning had lots of discharge but no burning or itching. I'm pretty swollen there though, but this is literally the next day. I would use this again. I really don't like how uncomfortable I was for the time I was, but I'd rather take this than go to the hospital. Our bodies are different, so don't be too thrown off by negative comments."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am an RN. Like many women, we've all had a yeast infection a time or two. I would treat mine with OTC Monistat. Sometimes I would do the 1-dose treatment or the 3-dose treatment. I've NEVER had a problem with Monistat. I would treat myself and feel relief. Well, just this week, I noticed myself getting a yeast infection and went to purchase OTC Monistat. When I tell you that I felt like my lady parts were engulfed in flames and swollen, it was the worst pain EVER. Nothing I did gave me relief from this medication. I had to wait till it cleared itself from me. I would prefer to just have my mildly irritated vagina back than to EVER use this cream again. And according to the multiple reports on this site about this product, Monistat needs to reevaluate its formula."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stay away!! I used Monistat over a decade ago. Some reviews say that the burning is because it’s not a yeast infection. Untrue! This Monistat is a different formula, and whatever they put in it causes extreme burning! My labia minor and major burned in ways I cannot describe. The inflammation is not minimal! Please don’t purchase this product. On day 1, there was some mild discomfort and itching. Day 2 was by far the worst as the product began to slowly seep out, and I was up all night in pain and agony. Day 3, the “chunks” of the egg start to come out, and I finally felt relief. It is now Day 4, and there is some itching, but barely noticeable. Don’t use this product. Please! The FDA needs to investigate this."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Equate 7 Day before with success, did have some burning a bit when I inserted, but it was tolerable. I used Monistat 7 last night, and within two hours I was awake with unbelievable burning and itching. I couldn't sleep, it was so uncomfortable. The pain I felt was enough that I almost panicked. I wiped off as much as I could and used a cool rag to help. I finally got an ice pack and put that there for 20-minute increments. It was miserable. I was up for hours, then finally was able to sleep around 4 a.m. I feel swollen and irritated this morning, with some itching, but I walk like I've got on a full diaper. I'm seriously not sure what to do now... can't do another night like that."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the price of $11.50, you too can burn your insides off. Seriously, it’s like they took the wrath of a hundred angry hornets and put it in a cream. I have NEVER felt pain like that. And I have endometriosis, so I know vag and uterus pain. Just use Vagisil. On a side note, I did not know it was possible for my labia to swell like that. Truly an impressive feat."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use this! I think they changed their formula this year or something. It felt like fire ants, gasoline, and acid were thrown in my vagina. It’s raw and swollen and just awful. It’s hard enough dealing with a freaking yeast infection, then here comes this terrible medicine to make your life worse. Shame on you, Monistat."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had a yeast infection for about a month now, called my gyno, got a prescription for Diflucan and thought all was right. I was wrong. After the itching and irritation came back, I decided on a one-night treatment of Monistat suppository. When I woke up, let me tell you, I was in agony. My vagina has swelled to be about twice its normal size, and now my further nether regions were on fire too. I called my doctor right away, she got me in on her lunch break and told me to never, ever use Monistat because there is a chemical irritant in it, causing you to become more itchy and swollen. Not only did Monistat make it worse, I now had chemical burns on my anus, butt crack, and butt cheeks (where the cream leaked to while sleeping). I will NEVER use this product ever again, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a yeast infection to NOT self-diagnose and just call your doctor or go to urgent care."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I figured I’d try to self-treat my YI to save some coin...but looking back, I’d pay anything to never feel that burn again. I picked up the three-day treatment. I put the cream up the ja-ja and applied the external cream as directed. I felt instant relief. It was amazing, I was finally able to get a good night’s sleep...FALSE. I woke up at a lovely 3 o’clock a.m., experiencing pure fire. I quietly walked to the bathroom. I tried to investigate what went horribly wrong. Redness. Swelling. Cream everywhere. The sensation can only be described as sitting on a cactus filled with battery acid. I panicked trying to get the cream out, but it was too late. The damage had been done. I took the rest of the day to recover, figuring I’d purchase the 7-day treatment because of the lower dosage. That was my plan. I’m brilliant, right? FALSE. As predicted, this was another horrible idea. The OBGYN was called."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lord, help me! I had some itching down there for a couple of days with irritation after being on antibiotics. Wish I had taken a probiotic with it. Took Monistat 1 instead of the 3-day that I have tried before. It's now the next morning, and I've been up all night! For a few hours after inserting it, it swelled up, and the burn was unbearable. It subsided slightly overnight, but it's still so, so bad - feels like lemon juice to an open wound down there all over! My poor pootang! I almost want to go to the doctor, I'm scared! I currently have a frozen burrito on it, lol. Only little relief I got is with an ice pack."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve only had a yeast infection one other time in my life, maybe 10 years ago. I used the Monistat egg back then, and it worked like a charm. Fast forward to this week when I got one. I bought the 3-day cream because it was all that was available. About 20 minutes after insertion, I was so uncomfortable I could feel my blood pressure rising. This stuff is no joke! The intense itching from the inside and the burning pain I felt was awful. I ended up taking Tylenol and a Benadryl, thinking maybe it was an allergic reaction! I woke up today swollen and in more pain than I was before the medication. I really hope the company decides to take action over these reviews."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "A day later and my pootang is still on fire! May as well have slashed it up with paper cuts and drenched it in lemon juice or hot pepper juice. I've had kids, I've been stitched, I've been in car accidents with severe broken bone injuries... I'd have a root canal with no anesthetic before I'd ever try this again. I'm scared! Glad other people had it too, otherwise I'd drive myself to the ER. Feel their pain, though, and do not want anyone to ever go through this. I had to put a frozen burrito on it! Only relief so far, not to mention the swelling :( I hope at least the YI goes away within the next day or two! Who can tell if it did or if I got a chemical burn!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not buy!!! Monistat 3 pre-filled app. is the worst. I ended up in urgent care the next morning from the intense burning, swelling, and a horrible reaction to this. I will never use this product again. I am not sure what they changed in this, but if you have ever had a yeast infection, go to the doctor. Monistat is not worth it any longer...."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I need you to read my story, as it may one day save your vagina's life! Last night, whilst wiggle-itching my way through Kroger, I decided to purchase miconazole 1. I made the deposit at 11 PM and hit the hay. At 2 AM, my vagina spontaneously combusted! I tried to wipe/rinse/claw the satan sauce from my vag, to no avail! I even laid spread-eagle and quivering in front of a fan. I finally found some Vagisil cooling wipes around 5 AM and subsequently passed out. Today, my vagina is swollen 4 times its natural size...I'm barely walking, but when I do, it's an awkward cowgirl shuffle. I had to use a personal day from work. I'm applying back-to-back Vagisil treatments, but I'm raw...so incredibly sore, swollen, and raw!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat saved my sanity and my girl parts! I went about 2 days trying to do home remedies, and nothing was working. I was so itchy, irritated, and ridiculously swollen. I told my friend, and she suggested Monistat for me. I put it in before bed, put the anti-itching cream that came with it, and within an hour, I felt so much relief, woke up the next morning feeling a lot better. Last night, I did the second dose, I felt a little bit of burning, but I fell asleep quickly and feel almost 100% better today. I’m so excited to do the last one tonight and hopefully will feel completely back to normal. Do not let the reviews scare you off! It works!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "(DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WEEKS LATER TO SELF-DIAGNOSE OR IT WILL BURN) I noticed my vagina getting swollen on night one. Night two, the itching was UNBEARABLE, and I couldn’t sleep, so I made my husband run to the drugstore to get me Monistat 7. I inserted it during the day, so I had to lay down for the remainder of the day. Once I inserted it, the itching intensified, the burning not so much. Since the application can get messy, wipe any excess leakage away from my lady bits, and it helps. Hopefully, I never experience the burning. I have used this medication multiple times and never experienced intense burning *knocks on wood*."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Y’all know that feeling of the runs exploding after eating Chipotle? Imagine this, but in your cooter. Lava, itchiness that compares to the pits of lava, and your lips swell like you had vaginal fillers. Their formula must have changed, but at this point, I’m down to file a suit if any other cooter sisters are with me?"
