For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG help I'm crying so bad. This pain is no joke. It itches so bad after inserting the cream. My lips are swollen so bad I can't sleep. I inserted the cream at 9 pm. It's now 11:49 pm, and I'm still in pain. My doc told me to get this. Never again! Why me, Lord? I can't walk, can't sit! HELP ME."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh. My. Goodness. I'm used to yeast infections because I get them fairly often, so I got Monistat 7. I've used Monistat products before which worked well and never had any issues. I don’t know what they have done, but this is excruciating torture! A mere ten minutes after my first application, my vagina began to burn. It seriously felt like somebody had sandpapered my poor vagina and then poured vinegar all over it, for good measure. How on earth this product formulation passed trials is beyond me - this is insane! Do not use it!! I had to rinse out my vagina as best as I could, and had to take an allergy pill because it caused my entire vagina to swell up. Tomorrow, I’m off to the pharmacist to ask for something else."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So sitting here at 4 in the morning because I did not insert the lava egg until about 2 1/2 hours ago. I am slowly starting to feel better. About 3 months ago, I used the 7-day cream and literally just wanted to end life itself because I didn’t think I could carry on any longer. This time, I used the one-day, and about an hour after going to sleep, I woke up knowing the end was near once again. The CRAZY itching and swelling! Reading these, though, makes me feel not alone and like other people, maybe, made it out with their downstairs area intact. Please save yourselves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had my fair share of YIs, and I've always used Monistat without any major problems, but I was on some antibiotics for a few days, and as soon as I left the doctor, I had this horrible gut feeling that I should've asked for a script for Diflucan while I was there. I was so uncomfortable, and I dished out almost $20 on Monistat to basically torture myself. Made my 'uncomfortable' YI a living nightmare. Burning, pain, and excruciating swelling. Sitting hurts, wiping myself after peeing hurts, walking hurts. Got my hands on Diflucan, but now I'm sitting here playing the waiting game, wondering why I couldn't just wait a few more hours instead or why I didn't Google it before I bought it. Didn't even know a YI could be this painful. Awful."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was on Amoxicillin and started feeling the itch, rash, and swelling. Never had a discharge or smell. Three days after completing the antibiotics, I started on Monistat 7 (should have started it the next day). So this is my first night, and I inserted it at 9:15 pm and used the external cream for the itch, which helped a lot. Fell asleep, and about 45 minutes later, I was like, 'what the heck.'... I was itching and burning. It lasted for about 30 minutes. I’m thinking it itched like that because I could be so raw from the yeast. Gonna hang in there and weather the storm. I’ve only had one other yeast infection in my life, and that was years ago. Just want this yeast infection to go away!! Uuugggg."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had the worst experience with Monistat. I thought the medicine wasn't working, and it was just the yeast infection getting worse. I was bleeding and swollen. I was unable to walk or sit down with incredible pain. I don't remember crying because of pain since I was a child. I went to the doctor in the middle of the day, crying in the bathroom while I tried to hold it together on a conference call. The doctor said it was really nasty. I was allergic. I had chemical burns internally and externally. From now on, it is Diflucan all the way. They need to warn about the possibility of this reaction. I had to leave during a very important meeting at work because I was practically writhing in pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the 1-a-day miconazole treatment, and OMG! My vagina is on fire! Soon after I inserted the capsule, I felt very uncomfortable. Like the capsule was stuck in there. Finally, I couldn't take the feeling of it, and it started to burn, so I tried washing it out with a cold washcloth. I took out as much of the creamy substance as I could. And now my vagina is red, swollen, and I have an ice pack between my legs to relieve the pain. I wish I would have read the reviews before using this. I've used the 3-day treatment before and didn't have a problem. So I thought the 1-day would treat it faster. Boy, was I wrong and completely regret buying this."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a yeast infection for about 3-4 days before getting any kind of medication for it and can say that the skin on my vagina had started to peel from irritation and me scratching. I tried all the “natural healthy ways” at home to fix it, but it only burned more, got more swollen, or tingled. I got some Monistat and put it in, used the anti-itch cream, and I feel better. More frequent peeing, which I guess is my body helping the medicine out of my system. I’ve used Monistat for years since I was in high school - no problems."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If I could, I would give this a NEGATIVE 100! I used it the first night after consulting with my pharmacist on what product to use for a yeast infection. I only used the cream that came in the box of the miconazole 3-day treatment, seeing as I had an appointment scheduled for my ob-gyn in two days. The cream burns like pepper, and I feel like my skin has blistered. After applying it the first time to the outer vulvar area, I woke up the next morning, and my discharge was extremely watery. I applied it again, and this time my labia swelled badly. It still burns, and I’m anticipating going to urgent care now. Do not use this product, it is the worst."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The worst burning feeling ever. I almost cried last night. I bought the 1-day combo (Ovule + Cream), and as soon as the cream started running inside my vagina, the burning feeling was growing and growing until I couldn't take it anymore. I cleaned up the cream and took a shower, but still, the pain didn't go away. Today I'm still feeling this burning, that area is swelling and irritated. I would not recommend this to anyone, not even to an enemy."

I am just one of the many women on here that has experienced the burning, swelling, and itching in the deepest depths. Please, anyone reading this review, do not use this medicine. I have had my YI for a week now, so I think I have to go to the Dr."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Developed a yeast infection for the first time in a while due to an out-of-the-ordinary heavy period. Picked up some Monistat, inserted it before bed as per instructions. My vagina is currently ON FIRE... it is literally throbbing! Currently have an ice pack on my crotch and can’t seem to rinse out the cream enough for the itching to stop. I thought I was having some sort of allergic reaction and considered taking Benadryl until I read these comments. This pain, itching, burning, and swelling is worse than the joyful time I caught a (curable) STD in college. IT’S BAD, LADIES. DON’T DO IT! Deal with the itching until you can get the anti-fungal pill from your doctor!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1 at night and immediately started itching and burning worse than before using it. Day 1-- intense itching and burning and burning when I pee. Day 2-- woke up with swollen labia and vulva and breaking out on my lady parts. At this point, I was terrified I had an STD (which I never in my life have) and was about to punch my husband in the throat (poor guy was so confused). I went to my doctor, and she told me I was having a severe allergic reaction due to the high dose of medicine in the 1-day capsule and that I would have been better off using boric acid. There was no way to remove the medicine from my vagina, so I was given hydrocortisone and Tylenol. Day 3 it burns so bad I have to use a water bottle to pour water on myself while I'm peeing and also using coconut oil as a barrier afterward. It also hurts to walk! This is POISON TO VAGINAS AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was mildly irritated with a yeast infection. Figures it happens over the weekend, so no doctor could be seen. So I go to the drugstore and decided I'll play it safe, let's do Monistat 7. Day one it felt like liquid acid, especially outside. I took my other medications and went to sleep, next day still burned, but I'm like one more shot at the time. I thought, OK, the burning will go away and I will be fine. Let me tell you, my crotch was swollen on fire and left a huge rash across my midsection. I didn't sleep. I can't even wear anything because I feel like I was set on fire. Doctors didn't know how to cure this, basically telling me it's a 50/50 chance prednisone will make this go away or make it worse. I am beyond miserable. I just want sleep :("

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OK, so this is my second time catching a YI. I went and purchased the Monistat 7 day pack this round. I tried the Monistat 3 day pack my first time, and it didn’t work for me, so I am now trying the 7 day. Initially, while lying down and inserting the cream and then applying the external cream, the burning, itching, and discomfort began immediately to the point where I was scrambling a little. But you guys have to realize that the burning sensation, etc., is the cream actually doing its work and curing the infection. I can only speak for myself, but the itchy irritation and burning sensation only lasted about a good maybe 30 minutes to an hour. The next morning, I was feeling very relieved and a bit swollen a little. For me, it wasn’t as bad as some of the other comments I’m reading. I will continue moving forward to complete the full 7 days as instructed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I knew I had a mild yeast infection and figured I’d get something to help before it got worse. Well, I have never felt a worse pain in my life. I truly feel like my vagina is on fire, and it is so swollen and sore. I can barely sit, I can’t wear underwear or any pants that touch it because it hurts so much. I gave it a 2 rating in hopes it works in the end, but next time I won’t be using this even if it does work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Why did I pay money for this?!?!? I bought the Monistat 1. I finished a round of antibiotics and experienced discharge, minor irritation, slight itch, redness, and swelling. No problems with the ovule of Monistat. It's the little tube of cream that's garbage. I used very little cream on day 1 since I had the tiniest bit of itch. Had some more itching day 2 and then OH MY GOODNESS what I done! Anywhere I put the cream created insane itching. Now I'm here like everyone else, laying in bed with an ice pack between my legs. Burning when urinating, on fire, throbbing, and being driven crazy trying not to scratch any more than I already have. Next time I will call the doctor for the pill. I'm so angry right now! This was supposed to help, not make it worse! GRRR."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Would give a 0 if given the choice. DO NOT USE!! I purchased Monistat 3-day treatment in hopes of curing my yeast infection. Used the treatment on the first day, and it seemed to work, but woke up the next morning completely swollen and in severe pain. Tried to go potty and to walk my dogs and could barely make it down the street. Used the second dose, and I’ve been in extreme pain ever since. In and out of the shower trying to get this garbage out of my body. When I’m not in the shower, I’ve had an ice pack on me. This is the worst pain I’ve felt. Feels like a chemical burn :(. Please stay away from Monistat!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst experience ever! My meow was on fire! I inserted the ovule about 30 minutes before I fell asleep around 11:30 pm. I woke up out of my sleep sweating at 4 am! My vagina was inflamed! Itchy, itchy, itchy plus burning! I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but I couldn't. Finally, I applied the cream that came in the pack, which made it worse! (I didn't even think it could get worse!) I rushed to the shower and sat in cold water! Which only helped a little! I was up for about three hours tossing, turning, and burning! Finally, I grabbed a cold freezer pack and put it between my legs! I was so relieved I fell asleep immediately! I’ve used Monistat before, but it was just the cream! One-time cream that worked so nicely! So when I grabbed this one by mistake, I thought it was no big deal! Big mistake!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product was the worst thing I have ever experienced. I just did night 1 and have been sobbing in agony since 11 pm (it’s 2 am now). The burning, itching, inflammation, and swelling got 100% worse the moment I put the product in. I read so many reviews that say this means it is working, but why would it make you feel so much worse? I can’t sleep, move, or function with this pain. I had to get an ice pack down there to calm the swelling and burning, which only slightly helped. I’ve had YI before and figured I’d save time getting this, but I will never again use this product. Would’ve been more efficient and less painful just going to my doc. You’ve been warned."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm pretty sure Monistat is trying to kill my lady parts! I have had countless yeast infections and normally get a prescription, not this time. I decided to go the cheap route. As soon as I finished inserting the cream, I started to burn and itch so, so bad. I was doubled over and crying. Imagine inserting bleach up there, that's what it felt like. I spent about 30 minutes in the bathtub trying to get it out and took 2 Benadryl. Most of the pain is gone, but now I'm raw, swollen, red down there and have a headache. DON'T RISK THIS PRODUCT. Worst experience ever."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So through the week, I had had symptoms of a yeast infection, but they were coming and going. My boyfriend and my 1st anniversary is coming up on Saturday, so I figured it would be smart to knock whatever issue I was having out beforehand. I used the 7-day cream before and found that it burned, so I opted for the capsules and inserted one before bed. 2 minutes in, I was met with mild burning and itching, which the box specifies may happen. After 15 minutes of unbearable burning and itching, it began calming down. Thankfully, I tried to fall asleep, but was met with the itching and burning yet again minutes later. This time, it was way worse than anything I've ever felt before. I was crying my eyes out in the shower while trying to get the already dissolved capsule out. Once I had gotten out as much as I could, I got out and checked everything down there. I'm red, swollen, and now raw. This better be healed by the time we leave for our vacation, or I'm going to lose it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh holy moly, this is the WORST!!! I finished an antibiotic, and sure enough, my next ailment was a YI. So, I thought I'd take care of this myself and try the 3-day kit. First night, after inserting the cream, I thought I'd done something wrong. The burning and itching were so intense, but I managed to find a somewhat comfortable position in bed and was able to sleep. Night 2 had me convinced that it wouldn't hurt as badly since I had done the treatment already. Boy, was I wrong. This was extremely painful!!!! Red, swollen, itching, burning, and painful to the touch. Almost immediately, I was in panic mode trying to remove as much cream as possible. Ice pack on my vagina, Advil for inflammation, and I'm hoping I can get some sleep soon. NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT."
