Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I read these reviews and thought what a bunch of wimps. I used the first dose and had mild stinging for a few minutes. No biggie. Now it's the second day, and I used another dose. Oh sweet mercy. Liquid lava doesn't even begin to describe the pain. Monistat should be called Rot Your Crotch because I'm pretty sure mine melted like an ice cube in Texas in August. What sadistic person created this stuff? The pain. Then the nausea. To say it was bad was an understatement. Thank goodness there were no police around as I lay writhing in pain with my eyes crossed, jumping and twitching like frog legs in a frying pan. Dear ladies, I apologize, you are not wimps. I endured natural labor, but at least at the end of that pain, I had a beautiful baby girl. This was a close second and no baby at the end."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It says on the box that the burning and itching will increase when you apply it. It stings because your vulva is extremely irritated by the infection. When the medicine is applied to the affected area, your suffering is going to get much worse for a few hours. I went through the same thing! Now (the next morning), I’m feeling a lot better. Do not take the 1-day version. That stuff is highly concentrated and will burn a lot worse than the 3-day or 7-day versions. Put it on and GO TO BED. Keep your legs open and avoid all friction. Pray, cry, and scream if you have to, but do not touch it. Surf the net on your phone or read a book to distract yourself. Nothing about yeast infections!!! If you can, take something that can help you sleep."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the first time I had a yeast infection, so my doctor told me to get the Monistat 3-day tubes. I was hesitant because of all the bad reviews I saw, but I got it anyway. The first night I used it, not even 10 minutes later, it felt like somebody was holding a lighter up to my vagina. IT WAS BURNING, ITCHING, & STINGING so much that I couldn’t even sleep. I kept getting up to walk off the itch, and I had to put a cold rag on it in order to go to sleep. But the next morning, I felt great, and throughout that day, I didn’t feel any burning or itching, so I continued using the other tubes for the next two nights, and surprisingly, I didn’t experience burning or stinging at all! That means the yeast infection was almost fully cured :) I highly recommend this product because of how fast it works. You just have to suck it up and deal with the burning on the first night you use it and wear a pantyliner. Night 2 & 3 won’t be as bad, you may feel little to no burning or itching at all."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought Monistat 3 cream suppository over the counter on Monday and inserted it at night right before bed, and yes, as everybody's reviews and experience about the burning and stinging after inserting it, is very true. But that's the whole point of it, it kills the yeast, and to me, that was when I knew it was doing its job! The burning and stinging lasted for about 20 minutes. The next morning, the same feeling occurred for about 20 minutes-burning, stinging, a little uncomfortable-but let me say, after my first dose, I was feeling 80% better! Last night, Wednesday, was my last dose, and this morning I'm 100% better. I truly didn't think Monistat 3 was going to work, but it did, and hopefully I don't get any more yeast infections, but if I do, I know what to use best! So if you're reading this and this is your first yeast infection and you're thinking about using this product, I think you should give it a try! I'm very sensitive to a lot of things, and I was hesitant about using it, but I gave it a try, and it worked for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to look up whether this was supposed to burn and sting my vagina as bad as it does. I almost cried from the pain, which was delayed because I laid down and apparently the cream didn’t migrate where the infection was yet. But after laughing at all of these reviews, I’m happy to know I’m not alone. Seriously though, it better work at the end of this."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I did y’all a favor and waited until after I was done crab walking vagina-first through Dante’s Inferno to form my opinion of this product. If you’re like me, and you’d rather see what it might feel like to recover from a venomous snake bite to the chooch than to pay $200 for an office visit, listen up. Do not make plans. Do not have any distractions except for a TV show you adore and have already seen a million times. You won’t be able to focus, so it’s key you already know the storyline. You’re going to birth fire, and it’s important to know that beforehand. Lay on your back and use a pillow to prop up your hips like you’re trying to get pregnant. The stinging is worse when the medicine is slowly seeping out, so keeping it inside you is the best way to make it through. Just breathe. If you can stand it, it works. It’s not fun, but it saves you money and time. I am posting this one week post-firebaby, and I can vouch the recovery was gradual, but I am now cured."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 4. Vagina and vulva are raw. Wiping down there with wipes or paper feels like I’m using sandpaper. Urination burns my irritated skin. Leftover Monistat occasional drip feels like a combination of sting/itch/burn. I have to dab with a wipe after urinating. Day 5. Vagina and vulva are raw, it still hurts to pee, and wiping is the worst. I’m not sure what to do. I think it may be a chemical burn from the Monistat. Vaginal canal entry itches here and there. No cottage cheese discharge. If in 2 days I’m not better, going to the Gyno. If you are sensitive to side effects, beware. Shame on you, Monistat."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have to take antibiotics frequently, so I get YIs periodically. I've always taken Diflucan orally or used Monistat 7. I inserted the first dose of M3 last night before bed. I realized about 2 minutes later that I had to pee. After I did, it hit! The burning and itching were so intense that I had to walk around for a minute to get myself together. I lay in bed writhing in pure misery from the stinging and intense itching. Burning was bearable, but the itching just about did me in. I finally took my panties off and kept my legs separated so the heat wouldn't activate the yeast, as if it wasn't already activated. I was desperate! It took 2 hours to go to sleep, but laughing hysterically at the other reviews sure made the itching more bearable!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I went and got this product because I had some mild itching, and I’ve had a YI before. Any other time I’ve used Monistat 3. I went to Walmart, they only had Monistat 1. I didn’t have any burning sensation prior to inserting the 'pill.' Now my vagina is on fire, omg, it stings so bad when I urinate. I’ve never had issues with Monistat, but I feel like the #1 formula may be too strong. So please be mindful that it does cause a burning sensation that is very uncomfortable. I honestly was confused and didn’t know what was going on because I only had mild itching prior to using the product, no burning. I took it as a precautionary solution to the onset of a YI based off of one minor symptom. Now I’m regretting life."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "At first, I ignored it because I assumed it was working and fighting the yeast, but a minute or two after inserting the applicator filled with cream inside my vagina, it started to burn. It was burning, stinging, and itching all at the same time very badly. My vagina felt like it was on fire. I wiped some of the product out of me, but it is still burning. I have used Monistat in the past, but I have never had this issue. Have they changed something in the formula?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 1, there was stinging and burning, so I basically just laid down with my legs open, but the next morning I felt great, so I decided to do Day 2. Very minimal stinging. I think the medicine on Day 1 hurt so much because I was swollen from itching all day. As I didn't itch on Day 2, the medicine didn't affect me. Day 3 got rid of the infection. I would recommend this medicine."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I seriously feel like my vagina is beating through my chest. I had to question if I was going to have a heart attack using this cream. My vagina is on fire. And a very dull yet sharp achy hurting pain that is nonstop. I can feel the ache all the way up to my chest. Is this medicine even legal? I literally don't know if I can go to work like this. Why does it sting so bad?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Good grief! This stuff comes directly from the fire pits. I have a yeast infection and was told to take the 7-day Monistat instead of Diflucan. First off, who designed the applicator? With its jagged edges, I’m certain every time I insert it, I’m shearing off a layer of my tender skin. Damn, it hurts! Can someone please get a woman to design this thing? Second, the minute I inserted the cream, it burned, stung, and the itching was magnified. I’ve been using Monistat off and on for over 13 years, and I have NEVER been this uncomfortable using this product. They must have changed the formula because of the intense itch/burn/pain. Don’t do it. Call the doctor and beg for mercy!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "All I can say is this product burns so badly, but holy mother does it work! I tried so many different creams and pills to make my yeast infection, of 2 months, go away. I was starting to lose hope until a pharmacist recommended it to me, and wow, did it burn and sting for like an hour, but it’s all worth it in the end!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am devastated that I used this before reading these comments. Holy moly. I am 30 weeks pregnant, and my doctor told me to get Monistat 7 to take care of my very mild yeast infection. My symptoms included white/yellow discharge and very slight itching. Within 3 minutes of shooting this treatment into me, I was in agonizing, burning, stinging pain. I took a shower and tried getting most of it out, before my vagina became swollen shut. Now I’m in bed, feeling grateful that what was 8.5 pain has now dropped to 4.5. Still no way I am ever going to be able to sleep tonight. I pray you are reading this before you put this fire inside you. I’m not religious, but I’m actually praying for every woman on earth tonight."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was kind of dreading putting the egg in because I had read all of these comments beforehand, but I had finally worked up the courage to do it. Initially, there was a little bit of burning, but nothing I couldn’t handle. It got better after the first hour, and I can barely feel it. The cream stings more to me. Anyway, I’m already feeling better. The next morning, I would recommend this product, just take a couple of Advil before :)"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst product I've ever used on my vagina. The first night I got this stuff, I was so happy because I thought it would give me some relief! Bruhhhhhhh! I screamed very loudly when this stuff started to burn! Itch! And sting! Don't ever use this! Just don't! Anyway, I tried it the second night (why?), and yep! It burned me again! Tonight is my third night of torture, and I'm so DONE! I'm being honest, it works, but the side effects are too hard to handle! Just don't use it! Never again!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My doc gave me a pill but said that if I needed instant relief, to get something like Monistat. A few of my friends have used it and said it was fine, so I thought it couldn’t hurt. My doc recommended just using it on the outside, not to insert it, warning me it could sting coming out. I did that and let me tell you I've been furiously rinsing myself in cold water for the last 20 minutes, begging for it to stop burning. The burning is 10x worse than the burning of the YI. This is awful."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Seriously, listen to the posts. I had a YI once before and used this cream. There was a slight sting last time, but it went away in a flash. I wonder if they changed the formula because this time it burned. It burned so bad I started trembling from the pain. I was in so much pain I started trying to get it out. It made the irritation so much worse. I tried it again, and it burns so bad. It just hurts. I can't walk, I can't sit. Please, no more. Please just go to your doctor, this stuff is painful."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was on antibiotics for a UTI, which gave me a yeast infection. I've had them in the past, and they haven't been too troublesome, although I'd never used Monistat to treat them. I applied some externally, and immediately it burned. Within minutes, it felt like someone had rubbed a ghost pepper on my bits or like there were thousands of tiny needles stabbing me. The itching and stinging was unbearable and lingered for hours after I had removed the cream. I could only tolerate 2 days of it. I took one dose of Fluconazole, which was a godsend and almost immediately resolved the itchiness, but I'm still a little irritated down there. Find 2% Miconazole Nitrate gel in some other form-- do NOT use Monistat unless you want a bad time."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh goodness, like everyone else, I had the burning and stinging. I know this probably isn’t what a doctor would recommend, but if you use a tampon, it soaks a lot of it up so the burning stops some. It was the only thing that helped me during the horror."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I do NOT recommend this product! I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased Monistat 3. Minutes after inserting the product, you start to feel the burn. The pain from this product is worse than the actual yeast infection. The pain was unbearable, it felt like someone was pouring boiling water in my vagina. It also itched and stung. The pain lasted for about 45 minutes. I was kicking and screaming and crying. The cream and wipes that come with the product did NOTHING to help. I resorted to a freezing cold ice pack, which only helped a little. I ended up calling my doctor and getting a pill prescribed. I would not wish the pain from this product on my worst enemy. I do have damage from this product and hope it recovers."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Upon first application of the cream last night, my itching immediately increased from a level 4 or 5 on a scale of 1-10 to a level 10. Burning and stinging (which I had not experienced prior to application) rocketed to a level 10. It felt like my vagina was on fire. I’ve used Monistat 3 and 7 other times in the past and almost always experienced an almost immediate gentle relief of symptoms upon first application, so this was very disturbing. I dealt with the pain for about 15 minutes, hoping it would subside, but I couldn’t bear it any longer. The only thing that helped was complete extraction of the cream and a bath to remove all residue. I reported the issue to Monistat but was told itching and burning are normal side effects. This was NOT normal. If you’re in pain, remove the product ASAP. I’m in the process of reporting to the FDA."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Walk the other way, ladies… do not use! Monistat 3 is so awful. I had a severe YI in my no-no spot… but this product made it burn like fire, itch more, and now my no-no spot is raw like crazy and bleeding. Whenever I pee and wipe, it stings so bad that I feel like throwing up. The ladies that do not have this reaction are lucky, and I am happy that it has worked for you… but this medication, to me, is so awful!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have read through many comments. I have been using Monistat products for years. It takes three days. No matter which product you are using, for a yeast infection to start clearing up and 7 days for completion. So whether you are using a pill, egg, cream, garlic, oil, or oregano... three days. Upon insertion on the first day, you will get backlash fire pits of hell feeling. This is the medication attacking the yeast infection. It will burn, sting, throb, swell your lips, and itch 10 times more. Do your treatments at night. Wear a thin panty liner. Use the lotion 3 times a day. Be brave... lol come on, ladies."
