Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've had a YI once before, and it was the worst thing of my life. Now I'm 26, and I was taking doxycycline (antibiotic) that was prescribed to me by my dermatologist. I noticed a few days ago that I was burning and itching. Over the past 2 days, it's been getting worse and worse, almost unbearable, and today I noticed the discharge and knew exactly what it was. I use Noble Formula 2% Pyrithione Zinc (ZnP) Argan Oil Bar Soap (Amazon purchase) on my face to treat cystic acne. I remembered that this soap is an antifungal treatment. So I took a shower and used this to wash, there was a sting, but it soon went away. When I got out, I inserted the M7, warm but not bad. I would highly recommend using the soap for a wash, I truly believe it helped!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so yes, there was a slight burn upon insertion. IMO, it’s nothing compared to the constant itching/burning a YI gives. Also, when Candida Albicans die off rapidly, they release at least 79 different toxins. This long list of toxic substances includes ethanol, uric acid, and acetaldehyde. (GTS.) I’m no doctor (only a RDH), but the burn you’re experiencing could be from the yeast dying off (as some DIY treatments produce the same “burning effect,” i.e., garlic). Anywho, I’m laying in bed now, and the burning was gone about 20 min after taking it, and I’m fine. *On hour 5: the itching and burning from the YI is practically gone. (Maybe an ever-so-slight *sting* is there, but that’s it. Like a 1.5/10 pain level.)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "What did I just do?! My 2nd Y.I. ever and the first time (1 year ago) I used the 3-day Monistat, and it was great, worked fine - no issues. This time I got the 7-day Monistat, and it feels like I put hot sauce on my coochie. The burning and stinging pain is no joke - plus the itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I've used this product once before in the past, and I don't ever remember it being anything like this. I remember instant relief. This is awful! I'm on night 2, thinking maybe the first night was the bad night and it would get better. Oh heck no, I can't sit still, it is so bad! DO NOT BUY THIS, JUST GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR! This slight burning and itching is a lie, it pretty much stings and adds the intense itching. Do yourself the favor: pay the extra money to see your ob-gyn and whatever insurance won't pay, because in the long run, you will be more comfortable and you won't lose hours of sleep!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wish I had read these reviews first. Holy hell. I would take the rawness I was feeling before the cream over this horrible, weird burning/stinging any day! Don't use it, I repeat, do not use it. Especially not around the urethra :( Ow, ow, ow."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I have a mild yeast infection. I rushed over to my nearby CVS to pick up a generic brand of Monistat, the 3-day treatment. After taking a shower, I inserted the first dose as directed and shortly after felt stinging and itching. My eyes lit up so big from the awful discomfort. I popped 2 Benadryls just to put me to sleep. Night 2, I figured it wouldn't be so bad, but same results, probably worse. I will not be using the third dose because the discomfort from side effects is worse than the YI itself. My experience with the name brand Monistat was awesome (the oval egg), but this pre-filled application treatment is the worst thing ever. DO NOT BUY!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My first time using this specific one (green box, 3-day, prefilled cream), and I will never do myself the disservice again. Night #1 was fine, I even felt like there was less discomfort during the next day. However, I am writing this after an urgent removal and washout of Night #2’s treatment. The burn and sting I just felt rivaled any pain I’ve ever felt down there combined. Truly, if that is what “treatment” feels like, I’ll keep the infection. SMH, calling the doctor in the am, #3 is in the bin."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, what is this!? I used Monistat 1 time, and once the cream started coming out onto my clit and labia lips, which, by the way, instructions say it won't come out. Anyway, it was like being stung by a million bees!! DO NOT USE IT. I have had to use an ice pack for 3 days!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I applied before bed. Instant burning and stinging, like I got bit by fire ants in my vagina. I could only take it for 1 minute before I realized I couldn't take it anymore. I jumped in the shower and washed out as much as possible, applied some wheat grass lotion to my outer labia, took some Tylenol, and after a few hours, went to bed. Woke up with a perfectly healed labia, but the inside of my vagina was swollen and full of red, hurtful bumps, as well as painful to pee at first. I cried on my way to work and thought, "OMG, this is the worst pain ever! I have the worst yeast infection ever." The day went on and pain subsided. Night two, same thing. That's when I looked online and realized it's the product. I'm throwing this torture cream out!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used another generic brand from Rite Aid before, and it worked-no burning. But today, I wanted to be a little more fancy since I was feeling like crap anyway. I used Monistat 3 today. Used the cream earlier, and I will say it stings a bit. I don't know if it's because I was already irritated or if it was the cream, but it stung like hell. After about 10 minutes, it wore off. I was even more irritated and uncomfortable. I used the suppository about half an hour ago. A little sign of relief. Not as much itching. I think it's better to take the suppository at night just so the medicine can stay inside the vagina longer, and I believe I'll get better results when I use it at night before I fall asleep."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my goodness! The pain is so bad. I’m on day one. I was Googling like a lot of other girls, and my goodness, I wish I had read these before I bought them. The burning was so bad and intense, and I couldn’t bear it and wanted to cry. I got this because I used it when I was 16 and had no problems. I’m 23 now, so I thought it would work. It didn’t! It burns so bad, and it itches and stings and is on fire. It’s so much worse than before the yeast infection. I just wish it would stop. I’m going to be a trooper and stick it out. Stay away from this. Something changed in this Monistat compared to before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stinging and burning began within 5 minutes of use (I used the one-day treatment). I immediately removed the medicine and got in the shower to rinse out any that remained. I will wait to see the doctor on Monday for a prescription. The stinging/burning was so intense I would not have been able to sleep. I’ll deal with a mild itch until I can see the doc... this medicine was not worth the $20.00 or any amount of money for that matter... no thank you."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn't experience what everyone else did. Sounds like they are allergic to it. No burning, stinging, or itch. I felt better the next day, which is today. I do recommend this product. I used two others, and they did not work: Yeast Gard and an off-brand Monistat. If you're not allergic, don't be afraid to use it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "On the first night I used this, I had quite a bit of discomfort, but nothing unbearable. The next day, my YI symptoms definitely had improved. Then, I did night two of the cream, and within 30 seconds, unbearable burning, stinging, itching. I waited about 15 minutes, and it was getting worse, so I showered and tried to rinse as much as I could. I got out and waited a little longer, and the pain continued to get worse! I had to get this stuff out of me! The pain got a tiny bit better after this but was still terrible! I flushed out my vagina with it several times with warm water. I then ran a warm bath and soaked in it for 15 minutes. I am still having some itching and burning, but it is finally bearable and I might be able to sleep. Do not buy this product!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been having chronic yeast infections for about 5 months, up until about a month or so ago; took and used (using right now) the Monistat 7. Maybe just me, but I've had yeast infection stings, burns, etc. worse than the cream; it's honestly not THAT bad. Still extremely curious about what's in it and what it does inside of you."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night it was crazy hard to get the applicator in as it felt really sharp, and almost immediately I began to burn/sting/itch like I've never felt before and felt very sudden jolts of pain deep inside to the point I was twitching in bed from it and wanting to scratch and get it all out. I stuck it through and felt okay when I woke up, used the anti-itch cream and oh man, hello again burning, itching, and pain jolts. Went away after an hour or half hour and I'm currently on night 2 and it was just as awful as yesterday. Now that it's been almost an hour I feel it starting to cool and calm down. Gonna do my best to stick it out the 7 days but man it's gonna be rough."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I hope it works, 'cause it felt awful. It burned mildly after insertion. Then I peed an hour later, and with it started the worst burning I ever experienced. I washed my vaginal area with water twice and then applied Vagisil so that the burning became bearable. Still feel some stinging/burning. Not sure if I will continue the medication."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have taken the Walgreens and CVS brand of this type of medicine, except it wasn’t shaped like an egg, it was just like a plunger full of cream medicine. Anyway, my mom bought me this stuff even though I insisted the other kind was better, but she insisted I use it (you know moms). I am currently wishing someone would put me out of my misery. Even after intense washing, my vagina is still stinging and my labia feels dry as a desert."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had read these reviews first. This was the worst pain of my life. I had just gotten over a cold, and the antibiotics led to a yeast infection. This was recommended to me by my mother. And I would never wish this pain on my own worst enemy. At first, it was fine-a little stinging, but that’s what the box said. Then, all of a sudden, it felt like I was being burnt with a hot iron. I tried to get the cream all out, I was screaming and crying. Tried to wash it off in a bath. The pain was so bad it made me throw up, and eventually, my body just went into shock. I will NEVER use this again. I’d rather have a yeast infection than ever experience that again. I recommend just going to the doctor and getting the pill because this is NOT worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God, I cannot begin to explain the amount of horrible pain I am experiencing right now. I just got this medication today and didn't think anything of it until I inserted the medicine. I instantly got the worst burning sensation ever. It feels like fire ants are biting me down there, and it's so painful that I'm laying here in bed crying about how bad it's stinging me. Please do not buy this product!!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have only done night one of the cream-filled inserts, and I have to say it wasn't that bad. I showered before and gently but thoroughly cleaned my vagina beforehand (make sure you pat dry!! Yeast LIVES for warm and moist environments). I laid down and inserted the cream. I suggest actually going as deep as you can because I feel like that prevents a lot of the leakage issues during the night. I took Advil and Tylenol shortly after inserting the cream, and it seemed to help. I ate some yogurt, this helps if you have a YI, and the itching began about 30 min in. I complained to my bf, then went to bed and fell asleep quickly. Lay down as soon as you can after using! While there is discomfort, it honestly wasn't much worse than the YI itself. Just take deep breaths, lay still, focus on your breathing, and you'll be asleep in no time. Oh, and I feel a lot better today! Minor leakage throughout the day and a little stinging, but I'm at work, and it's not bad."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was rough. Intense internal and external burning, itching, stinging, along with external swelling and discomfort. This lasted for about 4-5 hours, the first hour being the most intense by far. While these side effects persisted, I was not able to function or even walk. I can usually deal with pain and discomfort relatively well (I felt basically fine after giving birth twice), but this was debilitating. After reading other reviews, it seems that this is pretty common. While some people do not experience the intense burning that I did, I would not take the risk. I thought this would be faster and easier than getting a prescription and would provide some relief. Nope, awful, awful experience. Absolutely would never take this again under any circumstances."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time dealing with a yeast infection, so I bought this cream and hoped for the best. I’ve been using it for 2 days, and I’m already experiencing less itching for the most part. The cream stings a little around the inflamed and sensitive parts, but that only lasts a minute or two. After that, I feel like I’m almost back to normal."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, this BURNS. No joke. And it itches A LOT. But it does help. Looking at the ingredients, I expected it to burn, obviously, lol. It’s helped me feel sooo much better. It’s not really a pain. I feel it’s more like a really bad irritation, like 8/10 irritation, because the sting and the itching is like having poison ivy down there in the south side. It’s nothing I can’t handle, but I know there are more sensitive kitty cats out there, so just be careful! And be safe! Please, please read and look into everything BEFORE you put it in your body. Even lovers ;)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my gosh!! I never write reviews or anything. But this is horrible! I'm 26, and the last time I had a YI, I was 17, and I swear the medication wasn't this bad. I got the 3-day treatment, and I just used the first dose. 5 mins later, I felt tingling, and 10 mins later, stinging and itching. 20 mins later, she is on FIRE. There is no one home, so luckily my yells aren't bothering anyone. My hands are literally shaking as I write this. I will never do this again. I will stick to the Greek yogurt tampon."
