For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like all other users, I should have read the reviews first. This is the worst burning/fire pain I have ever experienced. Literally sitting in a bath to try and help my little lady out. I don’t know who approved of this formula but it had to be a guy because no girl would think this was a good fix."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "In bed, felt optimistic that I was about to open a window to some relief. Little did I know, I was opening the floodgates of fire and brimstone. The burning was worse than the witches endured at the stake in Salem. All I could hear was screaming coming from my vaginal lips, hellfire rose from my vaginal canal, and demons danced around stabbing my insides with their horns. Satan himself shook his head with shame as he read the box of Monistat, and a tear fell off his face before I ran to the bathroom to throw up due to the pain. In the shower, I washed, hoping to put the fire out. No relief from the burning taking over my delicate lady parts. Smoke started to fill my room, and I fanned not only my privates but the smoke alarm as well. I fell into the fetal position as I heard Death approaching, shrill screams still pouring from my hoohah. However bad you think your infection is, it’s not as bad as Monistat will make it be. Wait until you can see a doctor and get a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I put Monistat 7 in at 10:00pm It's almost 1:00am, and the burning hasn't subsided. Like many other women, I put the cream in and regretted it within 30 seconds. Cried and rolled around considering whether or not I needed to go to the ER until I came here and saw that hundreds of other women were experiencing the same thing. The store brand doesn't feel this bad. I've never been in so much pain in my entire life. I wish I would've never bought this. I'm sure it works, but it's NOT worth this pain. The only positive is I found these comments and laughed & cried for a solid 30 minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the love of all that is holy, I pray you’ve come to read these reviews BEFORE buying and inserting this lava egg into your garden. I feel as though this medicine has given me the power to breathe fire from my twat. Immediately after inserting the ovule and applying the cream, I felt burning in my vag. It was as though I had the fire from 1,000 suns captured inside of me, and they were itching to be released. The pain from this medication is 10,000 times worse than the infection itself. I have since squatted and spat the little lava egg out, wiped all topical ointment off, and I’m sitting in a bath trying to decide which type of ice pack will fit best in between my lady parts. I’m praying this pain at least resolves my issue. If not, I’ll be calling my gyno tomorrow. If I were you, I would start there. And do not under any circumstances let them convince you that Monistat is the way to go."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. Let me just say, that “white egg” is something else. I had a yeast infection about a week ago for the first time, and I decided to try an “at-home treatment.” Worst idea ever, let me tell you. Monistat 1 is one of the stronger ones, and oh, sis, it sure is. I inserted that egg in my vagina pretty far up there. The first hour was fine, I actually felt soothed and less irritated. Then, hour two and holy, you better expect to stay up all night because there's no way you can escape the pain. I felt like red ants were climbing through my whole vagina. The next morning, I felt the same pain but less intense, and it finally went away after 2 days of treatment. The only thing that kept me sane that night was reading these comments all night. They were hilarious. But it’s really not funny when you're going through it. Note to self: go to the doctor and get a prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yes, It may burn! This is only for the first application as it is doing its job and killing the yeast. Your vaginal walls are raw from the infection, so it will be an irritant, but it truly does work. I just finished my full treatment yesterday, and even though the first day was painful with a swollen labia (I took it during the day so all of the medicine basically oozed out and collected in my panties), I continued on, and my symptoms were mostly gone by the third day. Be sure to keep the box beside your bed and do it after your nighttime routine. This way you can stay in a position where the cream won't fall out. Good luck and keep at it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to take a 7-day course of antibiotics for a UTI and started noticing that dreaded itch and pain down yonder. I decided since this has happened in the past, to use the tube filled cream inserts. At first, it was uncomfortable just sticking anything up there, but I didn’t feel any worse. I went to bed and woke up around 2:30 am to pee, but when I got back into bed, HOLY MOLY! I’m guessing being upright and sitting on the toilet let some of the cream run down, and NO ONE IS EXAGGERATING!! I thought someone doused my insides with acid! I've sat here reading and laughing at all your reviews in between pulsating rounds of hell, knowing I was not insane all the while clutching at my vag, trying hard not to scream in pain. It’s now 4 am, and although sleep-deprived and traumatized, the burning and pain have subsided gradually. Stick it out if you can, if not, you’ll eventually pass out from the pain and get some sleep"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing getting me through this literal nightmare of a situation is reading these comments and knowing I’m not alone. I took Monistat 1 when I was younger and I’m not sure if my pain tolerance has lowered after childbirth, or if they changed the formula, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Unless you want to be up at 2 am holding yourself with a wash rag trying to search ways to get the demon out of you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product, Monistat 7, for three days. The first night I was fine, then night two everything was on fire. The third night I couldn't go through it anymore, so I went to the ER. Everything was five times the size down there, and it was on fire - I was in so much pain. You know what I don’t understand? Why can they keep selling this stuff if there are so many girls saying this is happening to them?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat should be ashamed for putting this on shelves. I took it at about 10 pm and woke up at midnight feeling like someone had sprayed an entire can of pepper spray on my vagina, then lit a match. I literally googled “unbearable burning, itching, and pain after Monistat.” DO NOT USE IT. I am writing this review while laying in the shower, vagina up, trying to rinse this godforsaken stuff out of my vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am abandoning this treatment on day three because it is extraordinarily uncomfortable to use - it basically feels like a combination of ants biting my cervix and a case of poison ivy in my vagina. It is worse than the yeast infection itself. I suffered through the first couple of days, which were pretty bad, but tonight I just couldn’t take it, and I used my bidet to try to rinse as much of this Monistat hot sauce out of me as possible. It was either that or felt like using a scratcher up in there to try to ease the itch and pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After inserting, I did my nightly routine and went to sleep. I woke up at midnight to pee. I forgot I had the medicine in. Oh my goodness, that pee was the worst pain ever. It felt like I was peeing out lava. Wiping hurt too. I went back to bed with burning! Slight cramping. Now, I have used this product before. It's only day 1, and I can't sleep. My estimate is that it's raw inside my hooha due to the YI. That could explain the burning. Thankfully, I'm not itching as much. The pain is a solid 8.5, and I'm going to take some Advil. Hopefully, that eases the pain a bit. This time, I WILL complete the full 7 days. Good luck to me and whoever else is dealing with this!!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product last night, and after about an hour, I was in severe discomfort. The burning was like nothing I experienced before, my skin down there was on fire, really painful. I can’t believe that a medication to treat itching and burning could be so abrasive. I eventually took OTC pain meds (ibuprofen and Tylenol) and a cold compress to get to sleep. Today is better, and the original itching is basically gone. But you really have to go through the fire to get to the relief. Hope the folks at Monistat will work on a gentler formulation that would be just as effective."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so this is my first yeast infection, and I was too embarrassed to call my doctor (which I shouldn’t have been because it’s common and okay to ask for help!!). But anyways, do NOT use any kind of Monistat product if you have sensitive skin or a low pain tolerance because it burns so much worse than the actual infection. Go talk to your doctor to see what’s the right move. I’m currently sitting on the couch with an ice pack in between my legs because I am in so much pain. I never leave reviews on anything, but I don’t want any other woman going through what I and others have gone through while using this product. I’ll be seeing my doctor real soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m currently pregnant and my OB recommended I try Monistat to help with my YI. I just tried it less than 30 minutes ago, and OMG the worst pain ever. I can’t handle the burning or itchiness, IDK which one because I am in so much pain and discomfort. This is the first night, IDK how I’m supposed to do it for another 6 nights. I will be calling my OB tomorrow to see if there is an alternative because this stuff is AWFUL!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Um, I am 100% confused as to why there are no commercials on TV talking about, “If you or a loved one has been a victim of Monistat, you may be entitled to financial compensation.” How on earth is the level of pain from this product acceptable? Absolutely nothing bought on the shelf at a store should cause this much pain... I’m in tears, clenching my legs, trying to hold in my vagina because it literally feels like it’s trying to fall the heck out. This was day one, I’m not taking day two or three. I had used Monistat 1 before, and I would’ve taken an end-of-life option over the pain. Fast forward a few years to today when I thought I’d be clever and try the three, thinking it wasn’t as concentrated. No ma’am, not my vagina... never the heck again! Don’t do it, ladies, spend the copay and go see your doctor. Mine had left for the day today, and I didn’t want to go the whole weekend with the YI... probably would’ve been a better choice to just wait!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't listen to all the bad reviews on this product, people obviously don't know how treatment for a fungal infection works. The worse the pain or itching after insertion or application of cream, the worse the infection. If it's really burning and itching, it just means you have a really bad infection and the medication is attacking it. Also, using the 7-day treatment may be better for really bad infections as it will not hurt as badly, it's more of a gradual treatment as opposed to the 1 or 3-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I read these reviews and thought what a bunch of wimps. I used the first dose and had mild stinging for a few minutes. No biggie. Now it's the second day, and I used another dose. Oh sweet mercy. Liquid lava doesn't even begin to describe the pain. Monistat should be called Rot Your Crotch because I'm pretty sure mine melted like an ice cube in Texas in August. What sadistic person created this stuff? The pain. Then the nausea. To say it was bad was an understatement. Thank goodness there were no police around as I lay writhing in pain with my eyes crossed, jumping and twitching like frog legs in a frying pan. Dear ladies, I apologize, you are not wimps. I endured natural labor, but at least at the end of that pain, I had a beautiful baby girl. This was a close second and no baby at the end."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First day was the same as all these reviews describe - HORRENDOUS and sinfully filled with fire in and around my vulva. We all scream together. Second day (today), there’s absolutely no pain/itchiness/soreness/side effects. I really do think that the initial pain is just the medicine WORKING and eating away at the fungus. The worse the spread, the more it hurts at first. Today I have nothing to complain about and I think we just need to stick it out for that first couple of hours of hellfire. It’s definitely working now, oof."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow. Hour one, I was feeling fine... decrease in YI symptoms. Happy. Hour two? Burning, blazing fire, an inferno. Where do the flames come from? I was wailing, spread bald eagle in front of my AC. I took painkillers. I gently laid some wet paper towels. Nothing. Finally fell asleep after two more hours and lots of pain. It is now day two, and I’m still irritated (not as bad, but worse than my YI). According to other reviews, it should calm down in uhhh about a day or two but I don’t know. Just go to the doctor. I’m begging you. Just go to the doctor. Your copay and medicine price mean nothing in the face of this California forest fire. 0/10. Save yourself."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am an RN. Like many women, we've all had a yeast infection a time or two. I would treat mine with OTC Monistat. Sometimes I would do the 1-dose treatment or the 3-dose treatment. I've NEVER had a problem with Monistat. I would treat myself and feel relief. Well, just this week, I noticed myself getting a yeast infection and went to purchase OTC Monistat. When I tell you that I felt like my lady parts were engulfed in flames and swollen, it was the worst pain EVER. Nothing I did gave me relief from this medication. I had to wait till it cleared itself from me. I would prefer to just have my mildly irritated vagina back than to EVER use this cream again. And according to the multiple reports on this site about this product, Monistat needs to reevaluate its formula."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stay away!! I used Monistat over a decade ago. Some reviews say that the burning is because it’s not a yeast infection. Untrue! This Monistat is a different formula, and whatever they put in it causes extreme burning! My labia minor and major burned in ways I cannot describe. The inflammation is not minimal! Please don’t purchase this product. On day 1, there was some mild discomfort and itching. Day 2 was by far the worst as the product began to slowly seep out, and I was up all night in pain and agony. Day 3, the “chunks” of the egg start to come out, and I finally felt relief. It is now Day 4, and there is some itching, but barely noticeable. Don’t use this product. Please! The FDA needs to investigate this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, it was funny because I called my bf after the first day of having that egg inside of me and told him it was no big deal. It's the third day, and I thought I'd escaped the rumored torture, but wow, was I wrong. It's much worse than the YI. Please listen to the reviews on this one, ladies. Do not try this medicine. We ladies should all sign a petition to get this awful egg taken off the shelves, or we should be refunded for the pain and suffering that comes to us along with this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night experienced minor discomfort and slight burning feeling. Rating the burn from 1-10, it was a 1. Second night was about the same with no burning. But OMG, the internal itching inside on day 3 has me so uncomfortable I can’t stop squirming. Did this happen to anyone else?"
